Prologue.

"And that's how Nora build an entire Zoo of Grimm by the time we went back to check on her." Jaune said.

"In twenty minutes?" Ruby asked. That sure was an interesting story.

"Yeah. With fences, bars and everything. She even separated them for species." Jaune explained. "Sadly, the head of the village demanded them to be killed because, well, they were Grimm and they could easily attract more and it was pretty much our jobs."

"That must be a shame for her." Lamented Ruby. "She could be a Grimm tamer for all we know."

"Sure. If she didn't 'break' them so easily." Jaune recalled the hammer-wielder previous experiences.

Both leaders sat at the library for another 'study section' in which they reviewed the subjects for the next test for a couple of minutes before expending the rest of the night until curfew just talking about games, comic books or just telling stories about their Teams.

"You and your Team always have the funniest missions." Said Ruby. "The missions my Team usually takes are always more serious or life-threatening. Most of the time because of Blake."

"That may be true for the most part, but every now and then we're tasked of killing a dangerous Alpha near a village or investigating some shady business. There's also diplomacy and all that stuff." Jaune stated.

"Really? Because most of your stories are just how you heroically pointed Nora to a general direction and got an easy victory." Ruby refuted.

"W-Well, to be fair, that alone involves a lot of leadership to pull off." Jaune defended. "Your Team also needs proper guidance in order to accomplish something, right?"

"As if." She denied. "During a battle, they rather do their own thing instead of listening to anyone at a time like that. If we so happen to be fighting the same unit, all I can do is shout the names of our rehearsed moves until we can finish it off."

"Sounds like a breeze, actually." Said Jaune. "You four have a lot of synergy to pull through anything."

"Only during fights." Ruby muttered. "They still treat me like a child, whether we do an assignment, decide which mission to pick, or even when we plan to go out. Sometimes they even ditch me to go watch an R-rated movie without me."

"Hence why we're here." Jaune figured, since it was a Sunday night and she probably had nothing better to do.

"It's a tough position to be in. Your Team sounds a lot more fun to spend time with, actually." Ruby said.

"They are." Jaune confirmed "But they can be really exhausting from time to time. Pyrrha is always checking if I'm working hard on my training, Ren tends to do the same with my studies and Nora is-"

"I get it!" Ruby interrupted. "But honestly, they don't seem as bad as the girls. Weiss can be pretty hysterical when it come to our studies, Yang tease us a lot just to pass the time and Blake sometimes is not even there, which is in itself a problem that usually takes us the whole day to sort out."

"You think that's hard? That's like Tuesday back at home. Long story short, I have sev-"

"You have seven sisters, yes, thank you very much!" Ruby snapped. "I'm pretty sure the whole academy already knows that along with your fake transcripts."

They sat in silence after that. Jaune looked down, still wondering if he really should have confessed that to his group of friends.

Although things had gone smoother than he initially thought (with him getting beaten and being called a traitor), he knew that fact would come back to bite him once in a while.

Ruby felt regretful. "I-I'm sorry jaune, I-"

"It's okay, I think we got a bit carried away." Jaune quickly forgave her. "Anyway, we should probably go back to our dorms before the curfew starts."

"Right, thanks for being here with me to begin with." She thanked him.

"No problem, Rubes. Too bad we won't be finding out who's job as a Leader is tougher than the other." Jaune said as he stood up and started walking towards the library doors.

"Yeah…" Ruby agreed. Though, as he said those words, metaphorical cogs in her mind begun to spin.

"So… You're coming?" Jaune inquired while he was holding the doors for her.

Ruby waved at him "Oh, you can go ahead. I remember seeing something here that can help us later, no worries."

Jaune also waved at her. "Alright, have a good night."

And that was the end of another weekend at Beacon.

Breakfast at the local Huntsmen Academy was the same as any other.

They had zombified students forming lines to get their fix, which pretty much consisted of a plate of eggs & bacon accompanied by Beacon's special brand of coffee.

Not to be confused by Ozpin's specialler brand of coffee.

Anyhow, everyone's favorite first-year Teams sat at the same table. Sans one of their Leaders, of course.

"Is Ruby joining us?" Pyrrha asked right after chewing.

Yang leaned up. "She got up earlier this morning. Said that she had some business to attend to and that she would meet us for breakfast later."

"She should hurry up, then." Said Nora. "They will run out of cookies eventually."

"Who knows?" Said Jaune. "Maybe she's planning a surprise for you all."

"I seriously doubt it." Weiss spoke, not glancing up from her plate.

As if they were summoning a spirit, Ruby materialized herself at the edge of the table facing all of them.

"Atteeention!"

Both teams turned to her at that instant.

Ruby harrumphed. "Sisters… Friends… Weiss."

Weiss sighed eternally. "Just get on with it, you dolt."

Ruby just went with it. "After witnessing myself many attempts of mutiny…"

Yang chuckled. "For the last time, sis. Waking you up before seven does not count as a mutiny."

Ruby ignored that bit. "…I decided to take some drastic measures."

Blake closed her book as she felt this could actually be important for once.

"As a means to teach you all to appreciate your Team Leaders, and to set in stone who has the most troublesome of jobs at being one, I present to you: THIS!"

Ruby slammed on the table a clipboard containing a very serious document.

"…It's a paper?" Jaune asked. It was very serious for some of them.

"It's not only a paper. It's a legal form here at Beacon that I got signed by the whole faculty, including the Headmaster." Ruby explained.

It was Ren's turn to display curiosity. "For what exactly?"

"You see…" She grinned. "I signed both our teams to a Team Exchange Program."

Everyone sat there in silence as their food was starting to get cold.

Yang was the first one to pronounce herself. "Uhm… What do you mean by that, Ruby?"

Ruby sighed, as she felt the necessity to explain the obvious. "This means that, for the following week, I'll be renouncing my position as Team RWBY's Leader as well as a member of said Team on its entirety."

Weiss perked up at that statement. Her eyes shone with excitement.

Could that really mean what she thought it meant?

Could she finally step up as the unofficial second-in-command of her Team and finally be the legitimate Leader for once?

Would all of those leadership classes she was forced to take at Atlas be finally worth something?

"Wait." Blake got her former Leader's attention. "If you're not our Leader anymore, then who is it?"

"Oh, it's Jaune." Ruby answered.

Even if no one could see it, a large window breaking in millions of pieces could be heard all over the table. Probably because it came from Weiss' head.

"Wha…" Jaune asked weakly.

"WHAT?!" Weiss slammed the table with both her hands.

"Ruby Rose! I don't care if you're going through some rebellious phase or anything of the sort. But if you think you can just put a hamper on my curricular grade with a stunt like that, then you have another thing coming!" Weiss yelled as Jaune was getting ready to hide under the table at the first sign of danger.

Pyrrha was also intrigued by that. "W-Wait, hold on. If Jaune is going to be the Leader of your Team, does that mean…"

"Yup!" Ruby popped the 'p'. "From now on, I'm gonna be the leader of Team 'R.N.P.R.', while Jaune is gonna be the Leader of 'J.W.B.Y.'." Ruby said while spelling each letter of the new names.

"…How do you pronounce those names?" Ren felt like asking that.

"Well, I was kinda in a hurry when I had to come up with the new names. So, I just changed the initials. So now we're respectively 'Runiper' and 'Juby'."

Weiss slammed the table once again.

"We are not changing the subject! How did you manage to convince the faculty, Glynda no less, to agree to such debauchery?!"

"I said it already!" Ruby shouted back. "I signed a form."

"What kind of form?" Weiss inquired.

Blake harrumphed for Weiss to hear. "There are many forms like these at the library. They are legal documents here at Beacon that allows students to sign for certain activities, such as being able to exchange Teams for a certain period of time. They are more commonly used by Senior Teams for extra-curricular exercises."

Blake was somewhat surprised by the fact that not only Ruby was aware of the existence of these forms, but she was able to fill one up on her own.

However, that fact still presented one crucial problem: How did she managed to sign a document meant for two different Teams all by herself?

"That's right!" Ruby affirmed while holding the clipboard containing said document. "It's all written here."

"Let me see that!" Weiss snatched the clipboard from the dolt's hands.

Blue icy eyes darted from left to right as she read the whole thing in record time. They only stopped when she spotted the most aggravating part of that whole sheet.

Weiss stood up and shoved Jaune's whole tray of food out of the table. Doing so, she slams the clipboard in front of him. "EXPLAIN!"

Jaune, while facing the wrath of his 'somewhat still' school crush, tried to fire back. "Explain wha…" Then he noticed what she was pointing at.

Jaune sighed while trying to recompose himself.

"Ruby…"

"Yeah?"

"Did you fake my signature?"

"uh…"

"And used my ID numbers without my consent?"

"They were…" Ruby touched fingertips. "Pretty easy to remember at the time."

The whole table looked at each other with the most concerned of expressions.

"Ruby, listen!" Pyrrha whispered out loud for her colleague.

"Faking your own credentials is already one thing." She took a glance at Jaune. "But faking while pretending to be another person is a whole lot worse. You could get in trouble if the faculty gets a good second look at this."

Sisterly instincts activating, Yang stood up from her seat to get a hold of the situation.

"Whoa, whoa. Hold your horses, P-Money. Let's all settle down before acting rashly."

Yang waited until everyone calmed down and then continued.

"So, we can all agree that what Ruby made is somewhat questionable."

"You think?" Said Weiss.

"But… Just so we don't run the risk of Ruby getting a severe punishment by trying to revoke that form, I'd say we should just go with it, whether we like it or not."

Yang then proceeded to clasp her own hands. "Anyway, are we clear?"

The whole table said their agreements along with an "I guess…" from Weiss.

"I said, are we CLEAR?!" Yang exclaimed, red eyes and all.

"W-Why are you looking at me?!" Jaune frightfully asked. He made sure to express his agreement afterwards.

"Then it's settled." Yang sat back. "The two dorks will be swapping Teams for the week. Right now, it would be best if we had our breakfast at ease before going to Port's class."

Everyone went back to their plates, except Jaune who realized his food now rested on the floor.

Ruby also noticed his tray on the ground and came to the conclusion. "Oh no, I almost forgot to get my breakfast! Be right back, guys!"

Jaune noticed that she was leaving. "Hey, can you get seconds for me while you're there- Aaand, she's gone." He finished speaking while some petals from her semblance fell on his blond hair.

Well, thanks to that little announcement, Jaune's plans with his Team for the week were completely scrambled. Just like his eggs, which again, were on the floor.

Hopefully, nothing else could go wrong.

"So, Ruby's first forgery, huh?" Nora said in between chews. "I bet Fearless Leader must be really proud of her."

Jaune winced at Nora's remark. Looking up, he noticed three sets of stares, presumably from his new Team, looking directly at him.

"Vomit Boy…" Yang said menacingly. "You better not be rubbing off on my sister or I swear to both our gods…"

Jaune opted to lay his face down on the table while covering himself with his arms.

'Man…' He thought. 'Why do I feel like I'm getting the short end of this?'
