I know you guys are probably mad about me taking forever to update but my mental health sucks and I have had zero motivation even though I'm brimming with ideas. If you didn't know I have recently uploaded another story called Let's Do It Again. It's your usually Percy goes back in time trope but I switched it up and plan to do it very differently. 2 chapters have already been published and the third will be soon.

So anyway I was asked to put in a picture of Artemis as reference and guys I don't know about this. I really want to but as a goddess, I feel like everyone has a different image of her. For me no one picture accurately captures her look. Not to mention there are no pictures of a roughly 18-year-old with Auburn hair and silver eyes. I did my best though and really hope you liked how I captured her. Obviously her eyes are silver if you want Pictures they're under this story on my Wattpad. Same username BethnPercy I would also like to announce I will start adding music to my chapters because of reasons. Just wait and see. On another note, I want to start naming my chapters so if anyone has ideas for names of Chapters 1-12 let me know. I am open to ideas.

Artemis P.o.v

Hunters were chattering about and laughing around the table. Reyna who was usually a lot more reserved seemed relaxed sitting between Thalia and Arianna as everyone around her talked. The hunters paid almost no attention as Percy and I entered the dining hall a few nodded in courtesy before returning to the conversation. Asi and Wynn were sitting next to the table being thrown various scraps which they thoroughly enjoyed.

Percy and I sat finally gaining at least my lieutenant's attention.

"Hey Arty, whens the rematch?" Thalia asked causing Percy to chuckle and me to flower.

" Don't worry about it. There'll be a rematch soon enough." I told her as I grabbed a plate and began piling food onto it. It was a nice substitute from the usual ambrosia and nectar I had during mealtime.

"Oh will there now?" Percy said raising his eyebrows challengingly

"Of course! I don't let boys beat me that easily. You'll soon see how easy I was going on you."

" Mh-mmh" Percy hummed with a mouth full of food knowing full well the only way I would be him was if I could use my godly powers.

More focused on eating the conversation drifted off as Thalia and Reyna whispered to each other and hunters slowly left the dining hall to steal some free time.

As I ate I couldn't help watching Percy who was very focused on getting through his second plate of food. I swear he had a bottomless stomach, Riley was the same way. Percy's hair still gleamed with leftover sweat from fighting and his clothes were a mess. I wanted nothing more than to reach across the table and swipe the hair out of his face. He looked so cute every time he brushed the har away. I noticed that he had to start tying it away when training or fighting because it was always in the way. He was way overdue for a hair cut but I got the feeling to wait for Percy to bring it up.

I quickly finished eating and checked the time. It was 12:50. Standing up and giving a quick stretch I turned to Percy who seemed to be focused on something else. When I cleared my throat he looked up and blushed.

"Like what you see?" All the hunters had already left probably to hide from Percy but it gave me the strength to openly flirt. Even just a little.

"No-No! I mean, uh, i-it's just that when you were stretching your shirt road up and when I looked towards you it was the first thing I saw. I uhm sorry?" Percy was blushing a deep red and I couldn't help but laugh.

"I'm just teasing. Come one I need to get my blood moving." I walked towards the exit but not before scooping up Asi and having Wynn follow along from the ground.

"They belong to me," Percy complained catching up and grabbing Wynn who licked his face in response.

"Do not! You have to share. Don't be such an ass Perseus." Percy glared at me.

" If only our daughter could hear your potty mouth Lady Artemis. Such a shame. I thought you had more class than that." Percy shook his head in disappointment and my heart skipped a small beat when he said "our" daughter. That would never get old.

" Like you have any class either Percy. You curse more than me."

"Do not!" Percy protected causing me to snort.

" Yeah right. Just a week ago you were cursing the gods and everything else over a splinter." Percy had the audacity to look embarrassed.

"You heard all that?"

" The savior of Olympus reduced to a pile of goo after getting a splinter." It was my turn to shake my head and Percy bumped my shoulder trying to push me off course. We both started laughing as we continued to bump into each other.

"Hey! Kelp for brains, gonna stop flirting and get started or what?" Shouted Izzie which made Thalia who stood next to her double over laughing. I sometimes wonder why I made that girl Lieutenant.

" Oh hush it, Isabella and you to Thalia. I know you told her to say it." Percy sat Wynn down and I joined my hunters waiting for Percy's instructions. I let Asi and Wynn roam and play on there own.

" Okay, you all know the schedules. Clearly you all just ate so for the next hour you can go easy. Do simple jogging, stretching, and workouts. This is important. I need all of your heart's pumping and blood moving before we move on. Don't get lazy but don't overexert yourself because you will throw up. Ideally, I say work in pairs to push each other." The hunters all dispersed starting to stretch. Thalia who had a clear death sentence ran off following the rounded off shape of our clearing. I myself dropped to the ground and began stretching along with most of the more sane hunters. Percy sat stretching striking up a conversation with Elaina and Olivia about gods knows what.

After stretching for a few minutes I made my way over to Thalia's starting point. Percy and a few hunters followed me over while the rest did other things.

" Are you trying to lose another competition?" Percy teased as we got into position to began running.

" Don't worry I'll definitely win this one. No one needs your male ego infecting this place anymore." I smirked as Percy scoffed. Grace stood in front of us and the hunters behind us.

" On your marks, get set, Go!" Grace yelled and everyone took off.

Percy and I were in the front but I was slightly ahead. I loved running, as a goddess of the hunt and wild it calmed my soul and it was like I could finally breathe. I hadn't hunted anything in what felt like forever. I imagined that the hunters behind me were monsters and Percy was my competition. I sped up running as fast as possible.

My muscles strained under the pressure I used and I turned to look at Percy who ran only a foot or two behind me. He was fast and built but he lacked the agility I possessed as a goddess. A log was in the middle of the path about 4 feet wide. I jumped over and continued running at an even faster pace if possible. My hair blew behind me and I laughed with joy. Percy who was now about three feet behind me laughed too. It was a delightful sound. The hunters had long stopped running leaving us in our own world.

Veering off course I ran towards the woods Percy hot on my heels. We weaved in and out of trees and while I maintained quite steps Percy barreled through scaring away any animals near bye. I felt so alive, so happy. The last time I ran through the woods with someone it was Zoe. I signaled to Percy were to stop by pointing towards a big tree. Picking up speed we raced toward the tree.

I reached it first and immediately turned around to rub it into Percy's face only for him to come crashing into me. We fell, hard.

Groaning I coughed trying to catch my breath. At the last second, Percy flipped us so I wouldn't take both of our impacts.

"What the actual fuck?" I wheezed trying to figure out why Percy didn't stop. I looked down at him and couldn't help but snicker at his own bewildered face. " You didn't think I don't know maybe slow down?"

" I was trying to beat you and then I got distracted and didn't slow down in time so I kind of knocked into you," Percy blushed a deep red.

"Distracted by what?"

"well, I-," Before Percy could tell me what he got distracted by someone spoke up starting the both of us.

" You guys looking mighty comfy. Am I interrupting?" I looked down remembering our situation. I was laying on top of Percy our faces only inches apart as we spoke to one another. It was my turn to blush.

Clearing my throat I stood up and gave a hand to help Percy who excepted. Brushing off my clothes I turned to Apollo who patiently waited against a tree with a broad smirk.

" What are you doing here?" I asked finally collecting myself.

" Enjoying the show obviously. Where can I get snacks?" Apollo laughed at his own joke and I scoffed at his stupidity.

"There wasn't a show. We fell that's all" Percy elaborated.

Apollo nodded but kept looking between us clearly not believing what Percy said.

I sighed slightly irritated with my brother. I was happy to see him but he kind of ruined a moment. Not that it was a moment, I just wanted to know what Percy had to say.

" Again I'll ask before I start using you for target practice. What are you doing here?"

" I just wanted to check on my big sis. Also, I may have come to steal a few kids of mine if that's okay."

"No," Percy spoke up. I was shocked because I thought he out of everyone would have wanted Layla and Olivia to be able to spend time with their father. Apollo went to say something but Percy cut him off again. " No you can't steal them but you can stay and help them train if that's okay with Artemis. Today is the hunter's first day in our scheduled practice and I don't want them to miss it. Although it would help to have another trained set of hands helping out. Not to mention it's a perfect reason to stop and 'help' anytime."

Apollo smiled broadly at Percy's suggestion nodding enthusiastically. I gave Percy my own smile at his good thinking. He wasn't only the hunt's guardian, he watched out for them in every way and always tried to make them comfortable.

"Come along boys. It's knife throwing time." I gave hem a mischievous look before walking back towards the camp not letting them know what I was planning.

When we got back to the camp everything was weirdly okay. The girls all sat in a group and when we got close they got quiet. I casually made my way forward trying to figure out what they were planning. They looked innocent, very innocent. Except for Phoebe, she looked slightly constipated.

" Uhm are you all ready?" Asked Percy breaking the awkward silence.

Thalia stood up clearing her throat. " yeah we're ready, come on guys let's go." In unison, everyone got up and went to the archery range as if nothing weird was happening. Only Layla and Olivia stayed back to hug and talk to their dad. Percy and I shared a look before following them.

" I'll give you a demonstration of knife throwing before letting you do it on your own. Aim only at the target, not each other. Always take one step when throwing and keep your body relaxed. I want you guys to use both hands to throw your knives because in battle you never know the predicament." I explained for throwing a hunting knife I'd materialized. It hit the bullseye and I stepped back letting the hunters start.

I was still very freaked out. They didn't even question Apollo's appearance, like at all. They usually complain at least a little. What was happening?

Apollo was helping Layla and Olivia and Percy went to help Grace and Mia since those two had the most trouble.

I threw my own knives just to try and calm my mind.

Were they planning a prank and trying to keep it quiet? Trying to sneak out, again?

Last time Thalia Phoebe and Atlanta when she was alive waited until 2 am to sneak out and get food. I only caught them because I had been checking on my chariot when I looked to make sure the hunters camp was fine I saw them seeking out.

I was stopped from further ideas when I heard a small meow. It was faint. Very faint with the hunters talking and all the knives hitting the boards. Looking around I tried to pinpoint the sound. Percy who saw me looking around came over.

"What's wrong?"

" I hear something."

"I hear a lot of somethings anything specific?"

" A cat I think." After I spoke we looked around waiting for it to meow again. Finally, after about a minute Percy heard it and we went after the sounds which were coming from the armory tent. Walking over Percy stepped in front of me and threw open the flap. I rolled my eyes because if he thought I needed protection from a cat he was seriously deranged.

We looked around for a second before a gold fur ball dashed across the floor. Percy was faster than me and reached out first to grab it. When he lifted it up I gasped in shock.

" The Nemean Lion." Percy confused turned it around to look.

" I killed that thing. It was a lot bigger." The lion meowed again and curled up in Percy's arms.

" It reforms as a cub and grows. It's so rare to find him though." I explained.

" For one he's a she. The Nemean Lioness and do you think this is what the hunters were hiding?" I sighed wondering how the hell they found the damn thing.

"Definitely. They see something cute and once fierce warriors are reduced to teenagers."

" Are you gonna yell at them?"

" Maybe a little." I grabbed the kitten and walked out of the armory Percy right behind me.

The girls hadn't noticed we were gone yet so I used it to my advantage.

"Look what we found in the Amory Apollo!" I shouted over all the chatter. Immediately the hunters turned around and went pale.

" Cool, where did the kitten come from?" Apollo asked coming forward and grabbing her from Percy.

" I don't know would someone like to explain? My lieutenant maybe?"

Thalia looked like a dear caught in headlights but looked at Apollo and she relaxed a little.

" Apollo saw her and knew she was here before he went to find you guys." Thalia sad throwing herself under the bus.

" Apollo," Percy gasped in fake disappointment and snatched up the Lioness.

I just glared at him and he smiled sheepishly.

" I didn't want to rat them out besides," Apollo turned to Thalia. " I told them you would figure it out in under 20 minutes. I won pay up." Apollo held out his hand and Thalia slapped 30 bucks into it.

" Apollo really?" I asked shocked.

" Can we keep her. We voted on Nyimah for her name and she liked it." Asked Victoria.

Everyone was looking at me and it took everything in me not to say yes.

" I wish we could," I started trying to sound somber. " But Nyhimah needs to have constant changes in the environment and plus she can't be around a lot of demigods. Also, Apollo already promised to let you see her once a month because he's going to be the guardian of her until she's old enough to be alone." The hunters looked sad and I tried not to look anyone in the eye so instead, I looked at Percy who thankfully told the hunters to get back to work.

Percy walked over with Apollo and I relaxed now that the hunters were busy.

" You just lied so hard I'm surprised they didn't say anything," Percy told me

" It's not my fault. We have wolves and two Pitbulls. There is no room for an overgrown cat here. Not to mention how could I possibly explain that to my father."

" Just admit it. You don't want her because she's gold and not silver and you want no association with your brother." Percy teases and I blush slightly because that did cross my mind.

Ignoring Percy I turned to Apollo.

"The cat is yours now. Next time you make bets with my hunters and keep things happening with my hunt from me I'll throw you off my chariot and use you for archery practice as you fall. She isn't a house cat either so I'll set up a stable environment in a forest for her. You, Percy, and I will be the only ones with the knowledge of her location so don't make it a habit of disclosing where a valuable monster is hiding out. I'll let her stay until the end of the day but you'll take Nyimah to her new home. Okay?" Apollo nodded and I turned toward the most older hunters I caught listening." Thalia smirks at me before turning back to the task at hand.

" Percy please finish helping the hunters in there training. Apollo and I will deal with Nyimah." I sighed and began rubbing my temples.

I did not have the patience to deal with yet another problem. Thankfully my wolves would be leaving to join Lupa soon for breeding and I would be able to change location easier. Maybe somewhere close to the beach if only for Percy's sake. He hadn't had much personal time since joining the hunt and he deserved some relaxation, gods know I do.

I looked at Apollo and sighed again. Against popular belief, he was pretty responsible but I wasn't sure if leaving the Lioness in his care was the best idea. He still easily became distracted and forgot about things. I guess I would just have to trust him. Something easier said than done.

"What's going on with you and Percy?" Apollo asked all serious and I felt my heart momentarily stop before speeding up.

"Nothing," I breathed out my face getting redder by the second. "What do you mean?" I looked down at the lioness in my arms allowing my hair to hide my face.

"That was a lie besides I'm the God of truth and I can definitely tell when your lying. Gotta do better Arty." I looked up and scowled at him.

"Don't call me that," I searched Apollo's face for the courage to continue speaking. Looking over at Percy smile and joke with Thalia I took a deep breath and spoke.

" I'm not sure what's going on with Percy and I. Any other boy I would have turned into a jackelope but Percy is different. A good different, he makes me feel things I've never felt before. I don't know what it means but it's terrifying. Besides, I have my hunters and my oath and Percy's whole world just crashed down around him a few months ago. I like him sure but I don't know how much I like him and I don't know if I'll say anything to him. I'm not sure if it's worth it."

I finished in a whisper looking back at Apollo who watched me with wide understanding eyes.

"Artemis I tease you a lot but I've only ever wanted the best for you. I don't think something like your oath or hunters should hold you back from something that you want. If you have feelings for Percy I encourage you to follow them. In all the years I've known you you have never let a man as close as him. As for Percy, I can't speak for him but what I do know is you'll never know unless you try Arty. I see the lingering looks he gives you and you him. Your right his family just recently died and he might not be ready for anything for a long while but that doesn't mean he can't develop feelings for you. I just want you to be careful because Percy isn't what we would call stable yet ad he has a lot of pent up emotion he has yet to do anything with. I would hold off saying anything to him until he's properly grieved what he's lost. If you've noticed not once has he let go, not once has he just broke down and screamed and recked havoc. Besides that Percy does express his emotions once he's figured it out so if he does come to have feelings for you he'll tell you or else it'll eat him alive. Maybe just let him come to you." I nodded to Apollo silently thinking about everything he said.

Stepping forward Apollo pulled me into a hug and I was grateful for it. It didn't matter that the hunters could see. They knew I loved my brother and I encouraged familial love throughout my hunt. I allow Thalia to see her brother and Bianca would have had the chance if she hadn't died. Our siblings are important.

Stepping back I gave Apollo a small smile before dropping Nyhimah and allowing her to go brush up against Amy in greeting.

"Can the rest of the day please be drama free?" I asked Apollo

Grinning Apollo shrugged. " Maybe, maybe not. Tonight's karaoke night."

I frowned

"It's what? Since when? Did the hunters agree to this?" I questioned Apollo rapid-fire but he just grinned and walked away muttering a small don't worry about it.

I chased after him saying I damn well worry about causing him to laugh and speed up.

"Apollo!" I yelled chasing after him but he just kept going and I was left to wonder how my hunters would take the news.
