Chapter 1: Magnolia City Crisis

A city was seen as clouds parted ways. The city was large enough to get lost in from a classic European village. Among the many crowds was a young blond and well-developed woman in a white sleeveless blouse and blue skirt with boots. Her blouse had a blue cross over the center of it. By her was a blue cat with wings. "Seems today was a great day to shop for good food," the blond asked.

"Aye!" the cat chirped. "And the fish from the seaside shop had some good haddock. If only Natsu was here to grill them."

"Well, maybe if you were patient instead of devouring the fish at first sight…"

"I can't help it, Lucy! I see fish, I wanna eat. It's that thing I have… Instant?"

"Instinct, Happy!"

"I was close…" Lucy saw a hanger of key rings that shimmered.

"Happy, any of those key rings catch your interest?" Happy flew to the window to find the key rings.

"Lucy, I'm not into key rings. I don't collect Gate Keys like you do."

"True… I was just asking if there's one you really like, one that you deem gives the 'Cat's Meow'?" Happy peered through the racks of key rings, including a diamond key ring that Lucy eyed.

"You sure about that? I see the price as 50,000 Jewels!" Lucy gasped to the ring's price.

"50,000!?" Her knees buckled to the price. "Too good to be true…" That's when she saw a winged-shaped key ring. "A-ha! I think I found something for Wendy!" Happy looked to the key ring as well.

"Aye! That's perfect for her! And it's only 1,500 Jewels!" To Happy, Lucy was shopping for Wendy. "You never told any of us that you're looking for something for Wendy!"

"Well, I'm not… I wanted to get a couple of key rings to organize my Gate Keys."

"Oh, I've been wondering why you wanted to get some shopping done. It wasn't just shopping for food, though how much do you cook?"

"Come on, Happy… How else can a girl eat?"

"Mirajane?"

"Besides her…" They entered and made a few purchases, including the winged key ring. "There! Now we can return to the guild."

"Aye!" As she walked out with her new rings, Lucy turned a corner.

"Lucy, there you are!" a young man sounded. Turning, Lucy and Happy spotted two young men, one without a shirt on. One was a wild pink-haired in a black vest, white scaly scarf and white trousers. The other was a blue-haired young man wearing only white pants.

"MUST YOU BE SHIRTLESS IN PUBLIC!?" gasped Lucy. The blue-haired sighed to Lucy's complaint.

"Hey, it's not cold outside," the blue-haired explained.

"Gray, it's not Lucy's point," the pink-haired grumbled. Gray groaned to the pink-haired's point.

"Anyway, what are you two doing out here?" asked Lucy. Gray reluctantly put a white jacket back on.

"We stepped out to get some grub," the pink-haired briefed. He offered some smoked fish on a stick to Lucy and Happy. "Here… I thought you'd be hungry." Lucy showed some reluctance but Happy swooped in and grabbed the stick.

"Don't mind if I do, Natsu!" he cheered. He began to nibble on the fish. Natsu had more fish on sticks.

"Come on, Lucy!" he encouraged. "Best way to keep up with your Celestial Magic." Lucy still wouldn't go after the fish.

"Thanks, but I'll pass," she refused.

"Alright," Natsu shrugged. "Don't say I didn't try to feed you." He scarfed the fish in one gulp.

"You know, it was your fire magic that smoked the fish," Gray added. "It's your loss of energy you can't reclaim." Natsu snarled at Gray's remark.

"WHEN I WANT YOUR OPINION, I'LL LET YOU KNOW!" he snapped. Lucy sighed to Natsu and Gray's antic. After Natsu's snack, the foursome began walking around the city.

"So, what are you two doing outside the guild?" asked Lucy.

"Oh, just wanted some time outside the antics of Fairy Tail for a little while," Natsu explained. "Get out, grab grub and get some training done with Gray after learning he has new Ice-Make material."

"He wanted to see what I have and see if it can stand up to his Fire Dragonslayer Magic," Gray added. "We are rivals so you can understand the severity of our conflicts."

"I've got a general idea," Lucy shuttered. That's when a series of explosions blasted through the city. To Natsu, an issue had arisen.

"That's trouble," he growled.

"So much for our resting time," Gray groaned. "Let's see what's causing it."

"Aye!" snarled Happy. With the boys taking off ahead, Lucy had to catch up.

"Hey, wait for me!" she struggled. They dashed to the explosions when someone else wanted in on the action.

"Natsu!" a young woman called. Natsu turned to a scarlet redhead young woman in an armored top and blue skirt with thigh-high boots.

"Erza, what's going on!?" questioned Natsu.

"I don't know as much as you do!" answered Erza. "But we need to get there soon before Magnolia City's filled with craters!" They rushed to find a blue-haired man with a tattoo over his right eye that looked like a stylized "X." He wore a blue cape over a white shirt and red trousers. He stood on top of a stream of magenta energy. By him was a bunch of burly men.

"That's it, boys!" he sneered. "If this doesn't get Fairy Tail's attention, it'll be on them to clean up the mess!" He summoned a fired magenta rounds of energy that made people run away. Natsu and his group soon arrived and Happy growled at the sight of the gang.

"Well, seems Bora's back to his destructive tricks!" he recognized.

"Man, it's been awhile since he tried to take Lucy away," he sneered. Gray and Erza blinked before turning to Natsu.

"Wait, you've dealt with this wizard?" questioned Gray.

"Yeah, he's got some charm to bring girls to his slave ship," Lucy growled. Bora saw the group who came. He eyed the tattoos of each one: a bird with its wings up and a tail protruding below the beak like a spear. Aside from Happy, the tattoos were shown on Lucy's back of her hand, Gray's chest and Natsu and Erza's arms.

"I thought you'd come, and in a slightly bigger team than before," he sneered. "Especially you, Salamander…" Natsu glared deeply at Bora.

"You two have a history together?" asked Erza.

"I haven't seen him in a long time but yeah," Natsu recalled. "He impersonated me and lied about being a member of Fairy Tail."

"And that lie would've still worked if you hadn't been such a nuisance!" snapped Bora. Seeing the stylized X, Gray realized who Bora was.

"Anyone not familiar with guilds won't know that symbol is for the Titan Nose guild, not Fairy Tail," he pointed out.

"But I've also heard that Bora had been excommunicated from the Titan Nose guild for sexual assault, sexual harassment and thievery," Erza relayed. Bora became annoyed at how much they're talking and not fighting.

"Hey, I didn't come here to have tea with losers like you!" he scowled. "I came to take you ingrates down!" 'And maybe take those two ladies for a ride they'll never forget.' He fowarded his hands and made another magic circle. "Prominence Typhoon!" A blast of magenta energy swirled out of the circle and right after Natsu's group. Gray leaped forward and a blue circle emerged with snow swirling from below. He palmed the ground.

"Ice-Make Wall!" he shouted as a wall of ice formed. It stopped the magenta energy from reaching him or his partners… but with an extra push, the energy blew through the ice and knocked the group down. Lucy landed near a pail full of water with Happy flying above her.

"Lucy!" cried Erza. Bora laughed to the upcoming outcome.

"Just like before…" he snickered. "The bigger the talk, the weaker the man." Lucy turned to the pail while recovering and Happy became terrified.

"Lucy, don't!" he cried out. Lucy pulled out a key that shaped like a trophy cup with two handles. She shoved the key into the water.

"OPEN, GATE OF THE WATER!" she chanted. "COME… AQUARIUS!" With a turn of the key, a light beamed from the pail. After a few seconds, a giant blue-haired mermaid with a blue tail emerged, holding a clay urn. She also had a coral shell as a brassier. Happy's look became worse.

"Oh no…" he shuttered. Bora twitched.

"She had to summon that grouchy Celestial Spirit?" he groaned. Natsu, Gray and Erza stood back.

"You know I don't like pushy people and Aquarius will see that you don't surface," Lucy sneered. That made Aquarius scoff. Lucy saw it and gawked. "Hey! We have them where we want!"

"You have them but I will not be part of the task force where you can easily quash them from your sight!" scowled Aquarius. Happy flew up, flustered with a paw to the head.

"This is why I wasn't liking the idea…" he sadly mewed. Aquarius wanted to harm Lucy.

"THIS IS WHAT YOU GET FOR DISTURBING MY TIME WITH MY BOYFRIEND!" she screamed as she rose her urn. That's when there was a splash. Everyone stopped as everyone heard the splashing and Bora saw something.

"Okay, tell me I'm not the only one who heard a splash just now," Gray gulped.

"No, we all heard it," Natsu confirmed.

"And I saw something blue go into that urn," Bora added.

"WE SAW SOME YELLOW!" his men called out. Aquarius became curious and looked to find a yellow mouse pop up from the urn's rim.

("I think we're okay,") it squeaked. Then, a boy in a red baseball cap emerged with a gasp for air.

"Hey, I think we came out alright," he realized. "Don't we normally get a little banged up when we arrive somewhere, Pikachu?"

("I think the writer wants to give us a break,") Pikachu guessed. It turned around and squeaked loudly to Aquarius. The boy turned to find Aquarius who didn't seem as enraged as before.

"I have high doubts my master would summon me to catch a boy in my urn," she believed.

"Yeah, I'd chalk it up to coincidence as well," the boy agreed. Lucy's stunned that Aquarius and the boy seemed to connect.

"Oh sure…" she mumbled. "Aquarius and I have some tit-for-tat and this boy seems to have found a way to communicate with her." Bora decided to launch an attack at the urn.

"Did you forget about me?" he roared as a circle came up. "RED SHOWER!" Out came a storm of magenta embers that struck the urn.

"Watch it!" the boy cried. Aquarius lifted the urn to protect it and the two inside.

"Oh, that is the last thing you do to Aquarius," Lucy cringed. This enraged Aquarius.

"THAT… TEARS IT!" she bellowed.

"Pour me and Pikachu over to that jerk," the boy issued.

"WITH PLEASURE!" growled Aquarius as she emptied her damaged urn and the boy and Pikachu at Bora. More of the boy appeared, wearing a blue sweat-tee and denim pants while also sporting finger-less black gloves. The mouse had brown stripes on its back and a lightning bolt that resembled its tail.

"Is he crazy!?" gawked Natsu.

"He's stupid to fight a wizard like me!" proclaimed Bora. "Red Skull!" Bora hurled a giant magenta bomb of energy that the boy saw.

"Duck, now!" he called.

("Got it, Ash!") acknowledged Pikachu. The bomb hit and kicked up steam and smoke. Suddenly, Bora was sent flying for a few seconds. When the smoke lifted, they saw Ash's arm across his body and upward. Bora landed with a thud.

"BORA!" cried his men. Their anger armed themselves with swords. To Gray, this was unacceptable as he roared in with his own circle.

"You leave him alone!" he roared as he palmed the ground, causing more snow to appear. "Ice-Make Bazooka!" Gray made a bazooka out of ice and fired a round that exploded, scattering the men around. Ash and Pikachu saw it and were amazed.

"He created a bazooka out of ice!?" gasped Ash.

("That's cool!") awed Pikachu. More men charged after Ash and Pikachu but Erza blocked attacks.

"Stand back, kid!" she ordered. She focused for a little bit. "Considering Natsu's dealt with these bozos, I won't need much. Requip!" With a flash, Erza changed from her armor and skirt to a pair of slacks with a flame decal and wraps around her breasts. Her hair was tied into a ponytail. This made Bora's men swoon as she drew a samurai sword. Ash and Pikachu gawked to Erza's new wardrobe and sword.

"Of course, we should've known this is the famous Titania!" one man groveled. Erza smiled and turned to Natsu.

"Glad I have admirers, but we're a little too hot to handle," she sneered.

"You can say that again!" grinned Natsu as a magic circle appeared. "Fire Dragon's… ROAR!" Natsu inhaled before breathing out a massive stream of fire. It roasted the men as Bora stood back up.

"And I thought Torkoal's Overheat was hot!" gasped Ash. Bora faced Ash, ready to return the favor.

"That was a cheap shot, you little brat!" he snarled as he took to the air. Ash began to chase. "Let's see you reach me like this!"

"You forgot about my partner!" grinned Ash as he threw Pikachu like a football. "Pikachu, Thunderbolt!" Squeezing the red circled cheeks, Pikachu unleashed a massive blast of electricity that shocked Bora and broke the magenta energy and caused him to fall.

"His little rodent can shoot lightning?" gulped Erza.

"Where did this kid come from!?" questioned Lucy. Ash stood below and geared one more punch. In a flash, Ash fired a crushing left hook that launched Bora into a wall. He wasn't getting up anytime soon from Ash's smirk.

"Damn, he's not gonna be standing after that," Gray observed. Natsu came to Ash and Pikachu as Lucy turned to Aquarius.

"That wasn't my intention to bring you out like that, but at least everything's resolved," she sighed.

"Not everything," Aquarius scowled. "I've been trying to show off my new swimwear to Scorpio when you ruined the moment." That made Lucy freak into profuse bowing in apology as Aquarius vanished. That's when a fleet of armored soldiers emerged.

"The Army's here," Natsu gulped.

"Leave the Army to me," Erza offered. Natsu nodded for his time with Ash and Pikachu.

"They must be here to take that aggressor away," he guessed.

"Yeah, and it was a great thing you and your Storm Mouse were able to stop Bora while we cleaned out his men," Natsu thanked as Lucy recovered to be with Happy and Gray. The Army peeled Bora off the wall and carry him out of there.

"I'm actually surprised about how that fight turned out," Gray awed.

"What do you mean?" asked Happy. Ash and Pikachu gasped to Happy talking.

"Wait, you can talk!?" gawked Ash.

"Of course I can, silly! Haven't you heard of a talking cat that can fly?"

"Actually, everyday with Team Rocket's Meowth." Happy irked to Ash's answer, but Pikachu had one correction.

("Hot air balloons aren't a good substitute,") he mumbled.

"Aye, sorry I asked," Happy sighed. "But still, we're still in shock about what you did."

"You mean how he was able to defeat a powerful wizard with his bare hands?" pondered Natsu. "Or how he convinced Aquarius to fling him into the perfect spot to launch his attack?"

"Oh, trust me," Ash smirked. "After seeing him throw those Ember attacks, I knew Pikachu and I could escape damage." That made even Gray irk.

"That was intentional!?" he gasped.

"It's a strategy I'm glad worked," Ash shrugged. "I had the water as a shield, let the smoke cover me and I got him with a solid uppercut." Lucy reached and choked to Ash's quick thinking.

"You little demon!" she teased. That's when she saw Pikachu and squealed in delight. "SO ADORABLE!" She snatched Pikachu from Ash's shoulder, kissed its face and hugged it, wedging the mouse between her breasts. "Oh my gosh, you and Plue will have a great time together when I introduce you to my Celestial friends!" Panicking over losing air and being squeezed, Pikachu released a blast of electricity that stopped Lucy and caused her to fall over.

"That's a bit hard, Lucy," Happy sighed. "So, who are you?" Ash nodded, feeling that it's time for introductions.

"I guess I should start," he said as Lucy stood up. "I'm Ash Ketchum and that's my partner and best friend, Pikachu." The mouse flashed a peace sign to the rest as Erza returned.

"Ash, huh?" she voiced. Ash turned to Erza. "Well, I'm Erza Scarlet. Aside from Happy, we're all wizards." Ash and Pikachu gawked to the news.

"Wi-Wizards?" he repeated. "So, that would explain the change of armor and swords…" He turned to Natsu. "And how you were able to breathe fire…" Next was Gray. "And how you made that bazooka out of ice…" Last to Lucy. "And how you brought that not-too-happy mermaid out?"

"Pretty much, except for Aquarius being not-too-happy," Lucy muttered. "I'm Lucy Heartfilia. That's Natsu Dragneel and Gray Fullbuster… and of course, our talking cat, Happy."

"AYE!" cheered Happy. Natsu became interested with Ash and Pikachu.

"Anyway, we do need to report back to Fairy Tail for what happened," Natsu shrugged. That made Ash and Pikachu blink.

"Uh… fairy tale?" he repeated again.

"You'll see," Gray assured. "Come with us!" With that, Ash and Pikachu followed Natsu, Gray, Lucy, Erza and Happy to a new place. Questions remain like how Ash and Pikachu wound up in Magnolia City?
