Bill watched as Mabel walked off, probably back to the Mystery Shack, happily humming to herself. It was quite a shock to see her so full grown, but then again, it had been eight years.

He cringed at the name he had given himself. It was first thing he had thought of, sure it was lazy, but whatever. It's not like he was going to see her again anyway, right?

Mabel skipped all the way to the Mystery Shack, her mood much more better than when she had left. She had made a new friend, and Alex seemed like a pretty cool guy. Sure, she had no way of contacting him, but Gravity Falls was a small town, she'd find him again someday.

She opened the door to the gift shop and rushed straight to the cash register, which she knew would operated by her brother. And sure enough, there he was.

"Hey, Dipper!" She greeted after he had rung up a customer. "Hey, Mabel. Back so soon?" He asked. "Yup, I want to save some of the fun for you when you have the chance." She replied, smiling brightly. "Yeah, I'll have time tomorrow, maybe then?" Dipper offered. Mabel nodded ecstatically.

"Absolutely!" She agreed. "Ooh, I also made a new friend today!" "Really? Why am I not surprised?" He replied. "Guess I'm just that lovable is all." Mabel joked.

Dipper smiled and Mabel left him to get back to work. She peeked into the living room to see her Grunkle Stan sleeping on the couch with the TV on.

Ever since Soos had taken over the Mystery Shack, Stan had more time to spend on the couch to watch TV and hang out with his family. Luckily Soos has been kind enough to let the Stan twins continue to live in the shack.

Mabel climbed the stairs and took out the supplies needed to get started on making the next day's sweater. She was thinking a rainbow of pastel colors with a cute cat in sunglasses on the front, because why the heck not?

Bill curled up and pulled his hood over his head. Thunder rumbled above as heavy raindrops cascaded from the sky. He thought about asking someone for help, maybe an extra coat or umbrella or something, but he immediately chided himself for it. He the great and all-powerful Bill Ciper! BILL FRICKING CIPHER. He didn't need help from anyone!

Though that didn't stop him from shivering and curling up tighter to conserve body heat. Ugh, human bodies were so fragile.

Stupid Axolotl. He had gotten him in this position. He had transformed him into a human. Why? Well, Bill had an idea, but he didn't even want to consider it. Who needed redemption anyway? Not him, that's for sure.

He sneezed twice loudly. Uh oh.

Didn't humans catch illnesses from being out in cold for long periods of time?

He shook his head, refusing to panic about that. He would worry about it when the time came. Instead, he focused on remembering things from his past. The human brain could only fit so much inside it, so Bill ended up forgetting more than half of his trillions of years worth of life.

The only things that were clear were the moments leading up to Weirdmaggedon, and Weirdmaggedon itself. But even those were fractured and fuzzy at certain moments.

The one memory he had that was completely undisturbed was his conversation with Mabel. She had smiled so much and she seemed so generally happy. It had been a long tine since anyone had looked at him without anger and fear welling up in their features. She had seemed happy to talk to him, not knowing who he truly was. But how? She must have recognized his voice, right?

Panic began to overwhelm him. What if she knew who he was and had just played it cool? What if she was off telling Sixer and Fez about him?! What if they were planning his murder at this very moment?!

He took deep breaths to calm himself. It's fine, everything was going to be fine. He sighed. Tomorrow would be another day.

Hey, so, um, I know you're probably not going to see this, User724, but I gotta ask:

What the heck is an intelligent dampening sphere? I-I don't understand what that is, is it a reference to something, or...? I don't know.

Also yes, I am lazy. Thank you for noticing.

Anyway, sorry this chapter was so short, I'll be working on the next one soon!
