"What do you mean by that?" I asked the Lord of the Underworld. "You see my Helm of Darkness has been stolen, but you would already know that because you're the one who stole my Brother's little Firecracker and my Helm. So hand them here and I may feel a slight hint of mercy." His accusation seemed pretty far fetched, even to me.

"There's no way I could even try to take either of them!" I countered, "Oh is that so? Then why do you enter my domain carrying the Bolt?" A sudden realization hit me, the bag Ares gave us. I took it off my back and opened it, sure enough inside the bag sat a Celestial Bronze cylinder capped at both ends while giving off a constant crackle of electricity. I was dumbfounded.

While my brain was trying to comprehend this Hades went on, "I would even consider giving back your mother." As he raised his hand I saw my mom stuck in the same position she had been in when she was crushed by the Minotaur. Her eyes still held as much worry as they did on that fateful night. "It's your choice, either give me my helm and my brother's bolt or I'll take them forcefully."

Skeletons formed all around us, some were holding M16 Assault Rifles, Spears, Swords, and M1 Garands. There was physically no way we could escape this situation. I felt something cold in my pocket, then I remembered the pearls. I took them out and looked at them, I turned around and opened my hand towards them. "Take one and smash it under your feet." Annabeth and Grover looked at me worriedly and hesitantly took one.

I turned back to Hades with the pearl in hand, "Sorry Uncle, I'm gonna have to pass." Then I threw the pearl down at my feet and a bubble formed around me. I heard a muffled Hades begin to yell in panic and his skeletons started to fire. The bullets bounced off the outer walls of the bubble. I looked up and began to panic, We were heading straight towards a ceiling filled with tons of stalactites. After bracing myself and preparing for the fall, I was surprised when it never came.

We seemed to be floating through solid rock, though I couldn't see Grover and Annabeth I assumed they were in the same position I was. We eventually made it up to the top and around us was an ocean. As we floated towards the top the bubbles popped. I looked around and saw Annabeth and Grover swimming around, we were lucky enough to have 2 lifeguards pick us up in a dinghy. I had to give up my shoes to Grover, assuming that it would be best if one of us was barefoot instead of having hooves.

We were dropped off and given water bottles and buttons. I felt terrible, leaving my mom down there. But I couldn't abandon my friends. Hearing a faint rumble of an engine I saw Ares leaning against his bike. "Well well well, I'm surprised Punk, didn't think you'd make it out of there alive" I growled in my throat, this guy is what set me up for Zeus to kill me, and for my mom to suffer. Though with even with 'Gamer's Mind I was still upset even now. I also spotted a Greek Helmet that struck fear in my entire body.

The empty sockets where the eyes would be seemed to glow in power, the very shadows around it bending to its will. "I bet you're wondering how I managed to put this genius idea together." I really wasn't, "After dad sent Apollo, Artemis, Athena, and Me out to find his weapon I was lucky enough to grab it. Before I was about to give it to Zeus I realized something, the war that would be possible from Olympus turning on each other would make the Trojan War look like a water balloon fight. Poseidon wages war on Hades for killing you, Zeus would declare war on Hades for having the Master Bolt, A war between relatives is the best kind of war." It sounded a little to complex for someone like Ares, I wasn't buying it. I had a strange feeling that the thing in the Pit was bossing him around but I had no proof.

"But they're your family!" Annabeth proclaimed, Ares then smiled smugly, my eyes lit up, it wasn't Hades that was 'The God who had turned' but rather Ares. "Well, I have to kill you so you can't get that bolt to my good old pops," "Your following the orders of that thing in the pit!" I accused, His smirk faltered and he said: "What would you know about that being?" Suddenly a Boar came charging from behind Ares at me. I sidestepped and slashed off one of its tusks. It stopped and looked back at me but I willed the water to lift and smash into the beast. Killing it instantly.

"Then why didn't you keep the Bolt and Helm? It would give you a good power-up." I questioned. He then looked a little taken aback and then mumbled, "Why didn't I?" "No matter, I need that bolt back, so come over and give it, Punk." "No, I have a better idea. One you can't refuse." Ares's eyebrow quirked up with that. "What's a punk like you gotta say that I can't refuse."

"A proposition, A fight between you and me, I win I get the Helm and you leave, You win you get the Bolt and the Helm, plus you get to kill me." My proposition sounded pretty dumb but if my plan worked I would be able to defeat him.

"Alright punk, just because I want to kill you bad enough I'll accept." He then stood up from leaning and summoned a giant sword, While I wouldn't even be able to pick it up he could lift it with one hand. While I uncapped Riptide I also poured the bottle of water on me. I then pressed yes on the quest.

"Percy, be careful," Annabeth said, she then handed me her camp necklace, "For good luck," she explained. Grover handed me a tin can, for the same reason. I nodded in thanks to them and looked towards Ares. I charged towards him and attempted to stab his stomach, though he was able to block and swipe at me. Even when I stepped away to dodge it still grazed right below my ribcage and draw blood. I started to step towards the water, but Ares stepped in front of me.

I feinted to his left, but he didn't go for it, leaving me open he kicked me in the chest. Forcing me back into the sand. He lifted his sword to stab me but I rolled away, bolting towards the sea. He was still recovering and didn't get enough time to stop me from getting in the water. Getting in the water I had the permanent boost of 'Water Healing'. Ares being more cautious now that I had the boost hesitantly approached. I heard sirens but managed to focus on the fight. Ares turned around and stretched his arm towards the Police and the cars went up in flames

He bolted towards me a shocking display of speed. Slamming his shoulder into me, I was sent flying. As soon as I was underwater I used the water around me to rise above him, I slammed all of the water down on to him. As I was left catching my breath I saw him walk out of the water unharmed, My eyes widened in surprise. I knew he was a God but to walk away from that unharmed.

I felt the water lap at my feet, seeming to reach out towards me. I checked my MP that I had left:

MP: 525/2275

The last attack had taken more than half of my MP and he walked away like it was nothing. I stabbed my sword in the ground and sat down on one knee, trying to catch my breath. He nonchalantly progressed towards me. Once he was within 5 feet of me he stopped, "That was a strong move punk, but to bad you are going against me." He raised his sword to go in for an overhead strike. With my current condition, I couldn't dodge.

As he brought his sword up I couldn't stand what was happening. All the things I went through just to end like this, leaving my mom and friends without me, the very thought filled me with rage. Suddenly my blade glowed, it gave off an aura of sea-green mixed with red. The aura lapped off of it like steam rising from the water. Ares had yet to notice and brought the blade down.

I stopped the blade with Riptide. The feeling of rage fed my energy. I saw Ares had a look of surprise on his face as he looked at my blade. Catching him off guard I rolled away allowing his giant sword to hit the sand. He had yet to turn around so I swung my blade at his heel, drawing golden blood.

The water licked at the wound as he yelled out in pain. He was brought down to one knee, he glared at me in his position. He slowly stood up, shaking in pain from my blade. His sunglasses melted as I saw what was behind the glasses, his sockets had no eyes, but instead giant fire-balls. He readied his sword to swing while I brought my sword up with the aura still surrounding it. Suddenly the sun seemed to darken and Ares faltered, a heavy chill descended upon the battlefield.

"Mark my words Punk, Your weapon will fail you when you need it most," His voice was layered with many levels of hate and pain. His body started to glow when Annabeth yelled out "Percy, Look away, He's taking his true form." I looked away as I felt a hot feeling tingle its way across my skin. When the feeling left I noticed he was gone.

The aura around my sword dissipated and I felt weaker, my previous energy leaving.

After reading all of that I stumbled forwards. Annabeth and Grover ran forwards and grabbed me before I could fall. "Dude that was awesome!" I heard Grover say, I couldn't help but smirk at my best friend's enthusiasm. I saw police and paramedics rush towards us. I saw Annabeth grab the Bolt, I spotted the shield at my feet and picked it up. Luckily Annabeth and Grover were speaking to the Authorities while I was sitting down so I could put the shield away.

I didn't bother to read the effects because of my exhaustion. I sat down looking at the ocean and the sun setting. I heard the flapping of wings, I had a guess of who it was. Alecto then landed in front of me, "Impressive Mr. Jackson," I then looked towards where Ares's Bike was and nodded at the Helm sitting there. She picked it up and flew away, while I was glad she didn't kill me I didn't register it as I faded out of consciousness.
