Hello. Thank you so much for the reviews. Sorry that I haven't updated in a while. Now that the semester is over, I should be able to update more frequently. I hope you like it. :)

*TW- Rape*

"Hey. Teresa. Look at me. Hey look at me. Are you alright?" Jane asked as his hand reached out to touch the small of her back. She avoided his touch and rushed past him.

"I need a minute. Jane please. Just give me a minute." She pleaded, her voice sounding watery and cracking as she spoke. Jane watched, dumbfounded as she ran out the door into the back yard. That's never happened before.

Lisbon could not get out of that house fast enough. Her knees were weak and her chest ached as if she had just ran a marathon. Her eyes burned and she blinked rapidly, trying to stop the tears from forming in her eyes. Lisbon knew that she was having a panic attack, but that didn't make her feel any better. She had had panic attacks every since her mother died and knew that she needed to calm down and ground herself. She became faintly aware of Jane standing in the doorway, looking at her with wide eyes and wondering if he should approach her. Her hand was against a tree to steady herself. The rough bark dug into her hands, which she just now noticed, and she pulled her hand away. She heard footsteps approaching her from behind and wiped at the beads of sweat that had already formed on her brow. Jane reached out to touch her back, but then decided against it. He drew his hand back and circled around to look at her face. Jane stood in front of her for a couple moments before she looked up slowly to meet his eyes. He stared back into hers for a while before he spoke.

"I'm not going to ask if you're alright because I think we both know that you're not. I would like to know what you're thinking about right now though. Now I know we've seen plenty of other horrific crime scenes involving children. You've never reacted like this before. Tell me, Lisbon." Jane prodded gently as her bottom lip trembled slightly.

"Nothing." She whispered, returning her eyes to the ground and nudging a blade of grass with her shoe. Her head was still spinning from the initial panic.

Ripped clothing and blood everywhere. So much pain that she could barely stand it. She was so hot, every joint in her body aching and screaming. Wouldn't this nightmare ever end? Please God, please let it end.

"Teresa, talk to me." Patrick lifted a hand to her shoulder and she jerked away like he had burned her. A small cry of surprise escaped her lips and she cursed herself silently.

"No, no, don't touch me. I- I don't want..." She trailed off as she saw the pained expression on his face.

"You're safe Teresa, nothing can hurt you." His gut twisted as he watched his partner regain her composure and put on her calm facade.

"I know, I'm fine, let's get back to work." She brushed off his previous words as if they'd never been spoken and turned to go back inside the house.

"Lisbon, wait. I'm not done." Jane said, causing Lisbon to stop and turn back around. She looked annoyed.

"Well I am." Lisbon shot back coldly.

"I need to know what's bothering you Lisbon, and quit pulling the 'I'm fine' card. I know you're not." Jane said, annoyance rising in his voice. He needed her to talk, he needed her to trust him. Why couldn't she open up to him?

"Nothing is bothering me Jane. Like I said before, nothing is wrong. Am I not allowed to get a little upset at that girl lying dead in there. Am I not allowed to feel anything over what happened." Lisbon could feel the emotion rising in her throat again and tried pushing it back down. Anything would be better than sadness, anything. She felt her eyes stinging and took a deep breath.

"Please Teresa, tell me what's going on. Tell me what's wrong. I need you to tell me." Jane pleaded and stepped towards her, he saw her eyes were watering again and felt his heart squeeze in his chest.

"You're the mind reader Jane, you can figure it out." Lisbon spat as she turned back around and headed inside the house.

Jane stood outside for a while to process what she had just said. She was definitely pretty shaken up about this case and was weird at the office that morning too. He sorted through his brain, trying to think of something that could have upset her. She didn't seem overly stressed in the last week and he hadn't done anything that she needed to fix yet. He knew that cases with children bothered her more than the others, but she is usually able to remain calm and professional. Jane walked back into the house to find Lisbon crouched over the body bagging evidence and taking photos of the crime scene. She looked far more composed than she had been earlier, but he could still see her hands shake from the doorway. He chose not to say anything.

After about an hour of watching Lisbon work the crime scene, they wrapped it up and got ready to head back to the office. Cho came in with a few statements from the neighbors and gave them to the single cop who came over to transfer the evidence. The officer signed for the evidence and transferred it back to his unit. He nodded a thanks to their team and headed back to his office as well.

The car ride was long and nobody said a word. Cho was flipping through his book, his eyes scanning the pages and clearing his throat when the silence became too unbearable. Lisbon gripped the steering wheel tightly, her knuckles turning white. She kept thinking about the poor girl at the crime scene and how the same thing could have happened to her.

She was sixteen when it happened. Her brothers were away at a church camp for a few days. She couldn't go anymore because she now had to have a job to pay for the bills and buy groceries for her family. She had just gotten off from work at the fast food place around the corner. Teresa walked into the kitchen and set a few bags of groceries that she had gotten after work down on the counter. After putting them away, she walked past her father who was sitting in the recliner in the living room. Several beer cans littered the stand next to him and he looked up at her with glossy eyes and red cheeks. She knew he was drunk.

"What are you up to?" He slurred as she tried to sneak past him and down the hallway.

"I'm going to take a shower. I'll be out to fix dinner in a few minutes." She stated as she turned back around to head towards the shower. All she got was a grunt in response.

After she got into the bathroom, she turned the shower on and took her clothes off and threw them in the hamper, making note that she would have to do some laundry the next day. She then took her hair down and stepped into the shower to wash off the grease and smell of fast food. When she was satisfied that she was clean, she stepped out of the shower and grabbed her towel. She wrung out her hair over the shower and dried herself off. She then ran a comb through her hair and patted it with a towel one more time. Teresa slipped into a pair of basketball shorts and a t-shirt and headed out of the bathroom and back to the kitchen.

Teresa pulled out a pan and opened up can of green beans and poured them in. She then waked over to the fridge and pulled out a package of ground beef to make hamburgers. She made the hamburgers and placed them in the skillet in front of her and watched as they began to fry.

Suddenly she felt two large hands wrap around her waist and she let out a yelp of surprise. He squeezed gently and her mind raced and she held on to the spatula in her right hand. She could smell the alcohol on his breath and her stomach churned. He stretched his hand out to run his fingers over her ribs and down her side as his face nuzzled into the crook of her neck.

"W- what. What are you doing?" She asked, her trembling voice barely above a whisper.

"You're so good to us, baby. Do you know that?" His voice was low and calm, but all she could hear was the pounding in her chest and her mind screaming at her to run. "You look so beautiful right now. Just like your mother used to be."

She squeezed her eyes shut and his lips grazed her neck and he placed soft kisses on her jawline.

"Stop." She begged, horrified at what he was doing.

"I need this, darling. I need this." He continued to kiss her neck and his hands made their way up to grope her breasts. She let out a strangled cry and began to squirm.

"Daddy, you're drunk. Please. You don't know what you're doing. Stop it. Stop it!" She yelled as her voice became weak and unsteady. "I don't want..I don't...let me go." She continued to fight against him and realized that he was stronger than her and that she wouldn't get out of this by herself. She suddenly took the pan of green beans that were already heated up of the stove and flung them back at him.

He hissed as the contents of the pan barely missed his face and splashed onto his bare chest. He let go of her for a moment and she turned to run away. As she turned to run, she slipped in the mess that she had just made on the floor and fell down to the ground. Her chin smacked into the tile floor and her vision clouded as she scrambled to get back up.

"You stupid little bitch!" Her father growled as he grabbed onto her ankle and yanked her back towards him. He bent down and grabbed her by the arm and dragged her into the living room where he threw her back down onto the floor. She tried to turn and crawl away, but he was on top of her faster that she could move. He was so heavy and his hands pinned her arms above her head. He then grabbed both of her wrist with one hand as his other hand traveled down and ripped her shorts off. She tried to scream but she couldn't seem to make a sound. She was frozen as he ripped her underwear off and took his own down to his ankles.

Teresa snapped out of it when she felt him forcefully enter her. She cried out and began trashing around, only worsening the pain that he was already inflicting. The searing pain shot through her body each time his hips crashed into hers. Tears that she was unable to wipe away streamed down her face as her eyes darted around the room, trying to focus on anything except the man who was above her.

This can't be happening. Dear God, this cannot be happening.

He collapsed on top of her when he was finished. She worked her way out from underneath her father, who was already passed out drunk. She felt bile rise up in her throat and tried to stop herself from throwing up. She couldn't. Teresa ran to the bathroom and threw up in the toilet. She wiped her mouth and turned to lean her back against the bathtub. She looked down at her legs. They were covered in blood Her wrists were also red and sore from him holding her down. She knew they would be bruised tomorrow. Her entire body ached and she squirmed around on the bathroom floor trying to ease the burning pain in between her legs.

Teresa then got up and turned the shower on again, her mind blank and numb. She turned the water on the hottest temperature and crawled in and sat on the floor as the scalding water washed her blood down the drain.

Teresa snapped out of her thoughts as she pulled into the CBI building. She angrily wiped away the tears that she didn't realize had fallen while Jane and Cho just watched silently. Without saying a word, she got out of the car and left them there wondering what was going on with her.

Hi. Thanks so much for waiting. I know that this took a while to update and I will try to update more frequently now that the semester is over. I hope that you liked it (if a person really can like a story like this). But I guess this is an angst fic, so it should hurt a little. Anyway, as always, please review. The reviews make me happy. :)
