Hey loyal readers! I am SO SO sorry for not uploading for so long. I have been busy like no tomorrow as I started work on the game I'm developing, I've got myself a drawing tablet (which was really expensive by the way) so I can design my characters (for both my game and official book) and I got offered a flat by my landlord and so I've been getting everything sorted.

So, yeah. I've been really busy.

First things first, this will be the start to a new fic I'm starting and will be the main priority over my other fics while I get back into writing. As you can tell, this is a NatsuxMiraxWendy Fairy Tail fic and hopefully won't be the last.

And I'm going to say this right now, there will be at least one or two lemons in the fic (depending how you guys take it) and I'll only be updating in my spare time. I've got a whole lot going on as I'm still adjusting to my new place and I've made a fresh start on my official book and started making my own video game, which will take up most of my time, so I hope you guys will understand and continue to be patient while I try to get everything set.

My plan, for now, is to focus on writing this fic when I can as I want to get at least one story finished so I can focuse on another one.

I'm hoping to write multiple chapters for the fic over the next few weeks so I can upload one or two every week.

This is not set in stone and I'm not making any promises so again thanks for being patient, I really appreciate it.

And I hope you are all taking care during this hard time and that you are all keeping safe, let's hope it all ends soon and we can all go back to our lives.

Disclaimer! Fairy Tail is property of Hiro Mashima. I only own the story.

So...without further ado, ON WITH THE STORY!

Chapter 1

Two years. It has been two years since the battle against Alverez. Since Zeref was defeated. Since everyone found out the truth about him. Forcing him to leave the guild in fear, guilt and shame.

Fear of his guildmates.

Shame of what he is.

Guilt from hurting her.

He didn't mean to hurt her. It was an accident. He was just defending himself and she got caught in the crossfire. He hasn't come back since. Until today.

We find this man standing over the town of Magnolia in a dark jade cloak with the hood hiding his features.

All you can see is a single tear run down his face as he remembers how everyone looked at him that fateful day. How scared, worried and hurt she looked when she tried to stop everyone, forcing him to leave and run as she kept calling his name.

NATSU! COME BACK! PLEASE!

He shook his head to clear the image. He still hates that she was hurt by him. By his own curse! He didn't ask for this. He didn't ask to be reborn as an Etherious! A servant of Zeref!

A monster.

I am a monster. They both never could, would or ever will love me.

This is what he was thinking as he made his way into Magnolia. Keeping his hood up to hide his identity as he walked to the place he used to call home.

Fairy Tail.

The guild was full of cheer and merriment as it usually was. But it was somewhat toned down. They had a reason to celebrate, Wendy becoming S-Class, but everyone wasn't giving it their all. Why? Three reasons.

The first is that even though Erza enjoys celebrating, she was overly strict when parties were involved and has been for the past two years.

Second, Wendy is happy to have finally become S-Class but wishes the one person she looked up to all her life was here to celebrate with her. The person she is secretly in love with, Natsu.

Third, a specific barmaid and Demon of Fairy Tail, Mirajane Strauss, has been treating the guild with less warmth and only smiled at certain individuals, Wendy being one and Erza the other.

She only smiles at Erza because she's the Guild Master so she can't exactly be rude to her, but it doesn't mean she can't be passive-aggressive.

She truly smiles at Wendy because, like her, they didn't like what everyone did two years ago and they share a mutual love for Natsu.

We see Wendy sitting at the bar, talking with Mirajane, smiling and laughing.

"Congrats once again Wendy! You more than deserve it!" Mira beamed.

"Thanks Mira. *sigh* I just wish Natsu was here. It's not the same without him. I miss him terribly" Wendy sighed and rested her chin on her hands.

Mira also sighed and frowned. "Yeah. After what happened it's not been the same. They should have never turned on him like that. After all he's done for them and the guild, I'm surprised they immediately thought of him as a monster and not as the same man we all came to love. I hope he comes back someday"

The guild doors suddenly opened with a slow creak. Indicating someone was coming in, causing everyone to stop celebrating and look.

All they saw was a tall figure in a dark jade cloak with the hood covering his face. Some instantly went defensive, ready to attack if this person tried to attack. All they did was hold up their hands and say in a deep, gruff voice "I'm here to speak to your master"

Hearing this, Erza stepped up and addressed the stranger. "I'm the current Guild Master Erza Scarlet. May I know what you wish to speak about?"

"Can we talk in your office? No offense to your members, but I'd rather speak in private"

Erza gave him a calculating gaze before nodding. "Very well. Follow me"

As they started making their way, Erza paused before addressing the guild. "If anyone dares to try and eavesdrop on our conversation, they will be punished with that" Then she continued towards her office with the stranger in tow.

Everyone started to pale and sweat, knowing that Erza was serious with the punishment if they tried so they went back to their own business, with the exception of a select few.

Gray was glaring in the direction of Erza's office, not liking the fact a stranger walked into the guild, continued to hide his identity and asked to speak with Erza. He wanted to go and investigate, but he was restrained in his chair by Lucy, who had summoned Virgo to tie him up with magic proof bindings.

Mira was currently trying to get Wendy's attention. She had a concerned look on her face as the girl hasn't moved or changed her expression since the stranger came in. Wendy looked as if she just had a great shock and as if she had just seen a ghost.

Mira finally got Wendy to snap out of it but shaking her gently. The blue haired girl looked at the white haired barmaid with tears in her eyes.

"Wendy? What's wrong?" Mira whispered as to not draw the guilds attention.

"It...It's him. He's back...Natsu is back" Wendy whispered back.

Mira silently gasped and covered her mouth with both hands, tears gathering in her eyes as she tried to stop them from falling.

"A-are you s-sure? It's r-really him?"

"I'm positive it's him Mira. His scent has changed slightly, due to not being here for so long, but it's obviously him!"

Mira looked towards Erza's office and couldn't help the smile on her face.

"Natsu's come back home"

Guild Masters Office

When Erza and Natsu entered her office she motioned for him to sit as she sat behind her desk, crossed her arms and gave a serious look that said 'I'm listening. But don't try anything or else.'

When Natsu sat down, she asked him "So who are you? And why have you come here? And answer with your real voice, not that fake deep one"

Natsu sighed before answering "I figured you'd know I was disguising my voice"

Erza's eyes widened when he spoke. 'There's only one person I know who sounds like that. But he left two years ago. When we...chased him out.'

Her eyes became downcast as she thought this. She knew Natsu would never harm a guildmate on purpose and what had happened was an accident of him defending himself. She looked back up and made eye contact with him. His hood was now down, revealing his now longer hair, chiseled jawline and his dark onyx eyes. But his eyes had bags under them, showing how exhausted he probably was and they didn't have that spark of life in them anymore. Like someone had actually gone and snuffed out the fire within him.

Natsu started to talk before she could say anything.

"I get you're shocked I'm here. You're wondering how dare I show my face in this guild after what happened. How could I come back after it was made pretty obvious I wasn't welcome in Fairy Tail anymore. That a monster like me shouldn't even be allowed to live because of what I am"

Erza's eyes widened again. 'He really thinks all that? That he isn't welcome anymore because he's an Etherious? It makes sense though. After the way we reacted to the news, he would be hurt. He would think we didn't care anymore. It's our fault he's like this, not his.'

She opened her mouth to speak but he beat her to it. "You don't need to say anything. I get it. You don't need to worry about me being here. I'm only staying a week to gather the last of my stuff, destroy my house and rebuild it better so Happy doesn't have to live in a run down dump. Then I'll leave and never come back. I won't even enter Magnolia throughout my stay so you don't have to see me" He stood up and put his hood back on. "That's all I wanted to say. So I'll show myself out" and he turned and started to make his way out of the office.

A/N: Well I'm glad I finally got this chapter done. Hopefully it makes you lot happy for a little while. Again, my plan isn't set in stone so I'm not promising I will stick to it.

But what do you think of this chapter? Please tell me in a review.

Also, I will only stick to this fic until it's finished, or I write some one-shots of random stories and upload them to keep you happy.

And if you haven't figured this out, I have a laptop now so I'll be able to keep everything more up to date.

I do have a one-shot I will write in my off time, but don't expect it for a while as I'm still thinking of how to actually write it long enough without making an official story out of it.

But yeah, thanks for reading, hope you enjoyed, leave a review (no flames please), I'll see you loyal readers in the next update and remember to stay SSSSUUUUUUPPEEEERRRRR!
