*I'm mad with the way this episode went so I'm going to write my feelings. Here's my quick one shot for the last 2 minutes of the episode. Direct quotes from the episode are in italics.
"Dixon knows." Robert whispered in Andy's ear. After a long, hard first day back, it felt good to have her husband next to her. She had spent the day telling Jack about her marriage with Sullivan, and it felt good to finally tell someone about it. She knew her friends wouldn't understand at first, but after she explained to Jack how much she cared for Sullivan, he understood. But then Jack's PTSD symptoms resurfaced during the rescue of seven minors from a collapsing bowling alley, so the day took a turn for the worse.
"Knows what?" Andy questioned. "Everything. You, me, us, the drugs. He knows." She looked quizzingly up at her husband. She had not expected him to go to the Chief without her. Sullivan continued, "It's all over. No one loses their job." Andy smiled, "Are you serious?" Robert nodded. "He also approved your father's line of duty funeral."
Andy could not believe what she had just heard. The Chief knew of her marriage and her husband's struggle with addiction, and he approved her father's line of duty funeral. Any funds they raised today could go towards a cause in his honor now. She replied, "That's amazing!"
Robert leaned close into her, "Listen, I want to be able to kiss my wife in public. I wanna let them know." Andy felt butterflies in her stomach. She had been nervous about telling her friends about their marriage, but now was the right time.
Sullivan turned towards the tables. "Everybody, I just wanna let you know, that thanks to you, we won. We got the funding for Captain Herrera's line of duty funeral." Every person in the room clapped their hands, and Andy could feel her heart swell. Her father was loved by each and every person in this room, and they all knew he deserved this.
Suddenly, Andy felt Robert's arm around her waist, turning her towards the crowd. "And um, one more announcement while I have you here. I would like to say publicly that I love this woman. And I love her so much that I married her, so this is sort of our wedding reception." The members of the team dropped their jaws, but they clapped hard because they saw the happiness on Andy and Sullivan's faces.
Robert leaned down and kissed Andy. When they broke apart Robert said, "No more secrets." and Andy smiled, because she knew they were finally free. They could now start their life together, and they wouldn't have to sacrifice their careers.
