HELLO THERE! Happy May the 4th to all of you!

The last episode of clone wars had me ugly crying, but other than that I've been spending my day watching way too many Star Wars movies, making Tooka dolls and loth cat cutouts with cardboard. I hope all of you are enjoying the holiday. :)

This chapter is a little longer than my normal ones, but I hope you like it anyways! Once again, slight trigger warning for mentions of assault.

And as always have a great day!

Ahsoka's POV

It's clearer now…..I can hear Anakin Anakin Anakin Anakin's talking to someone…...A clone…..I think….. I'm…... where am I? I'm moving I'm I can smell something….familiar ship exhaust….some sort of cologne

….. Anakin it's Anaki….. he's carrying me or something. It's clear for a minute before it's dark….dark dark…. dark oh….. i closed my eyes…... I'm tired Anakin's shoulder is nice….. clone talking…. Rex? I hope….. Rex is nice…..no it's not Anakin's talking…... Kix he's talking to Kix.

Kix is nice. Anakin's nice…

Is he okay he was sad Anakin

"Where am I?" Ahsoka whimpered. She seemed a little better, and her words weren't slurred, despite now being on heavy pain medication. She was dressed in a light blue, short sleeved hospital gown that came almost to her knees.

The trio had just arrived back on Coruscant, and they were all in the medbay.

"I'll be with you shortly, sir." Kix said, saluting and walking off.

Anakin slowly laid the Togruta down on the medbay bed. She moaned in protest. "It's okay, Ahsoka, we're home." He told her. She opened her eyes.
"I'm sorry." She said after a while.
"Why?"
"I ruined the leave. I'm sorry." She repeated.

Anakin looked at his master, who was leaning in the doorway.
"It's okay, Ahsoka, we just care that you're better." Obi-Wan said.

"What happened...again?"
Anakin sat down next to her. "You got hurt, but you're all taken care of."
"Oh."
She thought for a moment. "I'm hungry."
Anakin chuckled, and she smiled. Happy that he was too. "Of course. I'll get you some food."
"Thank you."

Anakin caressed her cheek in his hand, smiling warmly at her before standing up. "I'll be right back, Obi-Wan's right here if you need anything." He tended to take on a fatherly tone when dealing with his hurt padawan. She waved at him, even though his back was turned and he couldn't see her.
Obi-Wan sat down next to her, as soon as Anakin was gone she turned to him. "Is he okay?"
He was a bit taken aback. If anyone was not okay it was Ahsoka. "What do you mean?"
"Anakin. He was crying….earlier. Right?"

He sighed. "He's okay, sweetie. He just worries about you sometimes." Sometimes was an understatement. Ever since Christofsis Ahsoka had been the man's number one priority. If she was okay, if she was happy, if she was scared or not...everything revolved around her.

She nodded. "I worry about him sometimes too. You get it."
He was silent for a long time.
"Yeah. I do."
Ahsoka smiled. "He's lucky to have us." Then she thought for a minute.

"I want Rex."

Kenobi laughed. "I think the Captain might be busy, we would have to-"

She repeated herself. "I want Rex." Like her sheer willpower of wanting his company would change any plans he had.

And she knew it would.

He picked up his com when Obi-Wan called. "Sir?"

"Hello, Rex. Are you by any chance, free?" He felt guilty for asking. It was by now nearly 0400, and if anything the clone should've been asleep.

Rex pursed his lips. At the moment, yes, he wasn't busy. But he'd promised Cody he'd meet up in a few, possibly go to 79s or just hang out in the barracks. "Kinda. What is it, General?"

"Ahsoka."

Cody would have to wait.

….

Anakin walked back into the room, somehow managing to balance three trays of food in his arms.

"Snips," he handed Ahsoka a tray, "Master," and did the same to Obi-Wan, then took a seat next to him with his own. "Me."

Ahsoka looked at what he'd gotten her. A small piece of steak and orange juice. When she lifted her hands to eat, they were shaky and weak, which Obi-Wan noticed. He held out his hands, and she handed the tray to him.

He cut the meat into tiny pieces so I'd be easier for her to eat, and handed it back. "There you go, Ahsoka."

"Thank you, Master."

Anakin looked up at her from his own food. "Eat slow, Ahsoka."

She nodded.

"I can get you a straw for that, if you want?" Obi-Wan offered.

Ahsoka didn't respond, instead looking in between the two men, back and forth.

"What?" They asked at the same time.

She shrugged, taking a bite of steak. "Nothing. I'll have a straw, thanks." She wasn't used to being so taken care of. Sometimes they acted like her parents without even realizing.

When the man came back with a straw, she remembered something. "Oh! Master, guess what?" She didn't wait for him to answer. "Rex, thank you," she paused to take a sip of her drink. "Rex is coming to see me!"

"That's great, Snips!" He was eating the very sugary cinnamon roll and soda he had gotten himself. He would probably go back for more, he always took the opportunity to eat something other than government rations if it was given. Maybe all the sugar was one of the reasons he never slept.

He'd gotten Obi-Wan a biscuit and some coffee, which Obi-Wan just then realized.

"Anakin, why would you get me coffee? It's like, four am." He set in down on a table next to the chairs, letting it rest for just a fraction of a second before picking it up again.

"Well I wouldn't want it to go to waste…" He mumbled, taking a giant swing of it like it was beer.

Anakin shrugged at her, and she giggled. "You guys are weird."

They high-fived without even looking at each other. "Guess who's never going to get any sleep?" Her master said with a smirk.

They all finished up their food, just setting down the empty trays as a clone walked in.

He saluted the Jedi.

"Sirs."

"Hello, Kix." Obi-Wan greeted him. "It's good to see you."

He gave an overdramatic yawn as he walked towards the bed. "I hear Rex is coming?" He looked at Ahsoka. "You really don't want any of us guys to sleep, do you, Commander?"

She shook her head. "Nope."

Kix held a bottle of rubbing alcohol and a cloth, so it wasn't hard to figure out what he was doing.

"Alright, sir. Do you think you can sit up?"

She pursed her lips, thinking about it. "Maybe."

Kix looked at Anakin, but he was already at her side, grabbing her hands to help sit her up.

She was a little wobbly, but the two men held her up.

"I just need to disinfect your stitches, sir." He said, carefully pulling up the back of her gown and pouring some of the alcohol onto a cloth. "It might sting a bit."

Ahsoka reached for Anakin's hand and he gave her the prosthetic, so she could squeeze it harder without hurting him.

The clone ever so gently started rubbing down the stitches on the small of her back, and she whimpered, letting out a hiss of pain through clenched teeth and squeezing his hand.

Usually Kix was pretty grouchy and all, 'I outrank you you have to listen to me', with his patients, but dealing with Ahsoka softened him.

"There ya go, kid." He said as he moved up her back. "You're doing great."

"Of course she is." Anakin said, because Ahsoka was his padawan and no shit she was doing great.

Soon after, Kix pulled down her shirt again, and they laid her back down.

"Okay, you get some rest now, sir."

"But I have to wait for Rex!" She reasoned.

"Okay, Rex then sleep, got it?"

"Mmhm. Thank you, Kix."

"Anytime, sir." He saluted again, nodding at the two Generals and then he was gone.

…..

"Maybe he doesn't want to come."

"Oh shut up, you're delightful!" Anakin reassured her. "Who wouldn't want to come visit you?"

"Maybe a normal person who just wants to get sleep." Obi-Wan chimed in. He was handling the five cups of coffee, (yes he did go back to get four more cups of coffee after his first one), like a pro. Which of course, after ten years of dealing with Anakin and the extra four with Ahsoka, he was.

"Hey!"

"Just saying!" He knew though that if he had a choice between being there and sleeping, he'd choose the first one.

"Maybe-"

"Hey, Kid!"

They all turned to where, sure enough, Rex stood, a brow raised. "Landed yourself in the medbay again, huh?"

"Rex!" She cheered happily, grinning widely. She noticed in his hands he held a bag, which read, 'Gift Shop'. She reached out with both of her hands. "Gimme."

Anakin looked at the man apologetically. "She's used to being spoiled now."

"Well, this isn't going to help." He laughed, setting the bag on her bed. "It's not a lot. And I'm sure the Republic won't be happy that I billed it to them.."

Obi-Wan looked up. He knew that he should get him in trouble since he was the authority there, being on the Council, but he decided to ignore it.

Rex reached in the bag, pulling out, for starters, a chocolate bar. A true delicacy for a room full of people who's most common snack was a stale cheese stick. He handed it to the girl. "There ya go….and.."

As he pulled out the next thing she stuck her tongue out at Anakin who was already extremely jealous of his padawan's candy.

She turned to see Rex holding out a stuffed Tooka doll, looking pretty proud of himself. Her eyes widened. She'd had one just like it back on Shili before Master Plo took her to the Temple, she remembered it faintly.

Ahsoka took it from him, holding it childishly to her chest in a hug. "Thank you, Rexo."

"No problem kid."

She looked at the doll, tilting her head. "What are we gonna name it?

Rex could tell she was a little out of it, but he didn't mind playing along. "Whatever you want, kiddo."

She thought for a lengthy minute, opening her mouth every now and again when she got an idea before deeming it stupid.

She gasped suddenly. "Scrappin Scruffy Macdoogle of the Highland Mcdoogles the Third."

Obi-Wan laughed, and Ahsoka smirked, proud of herself.

It was truly a horrendous name, but Anakin gasped and told her it was the best thing she'd ever come up with. She agreed.

"I'm a genius."

She made him waddle up to Rex. "You're his mother now." She told him.

"Okay, sir." He patted her hand, which had an IV in it. Something told him not to ask about what happened to her, but that didn't mean he wasn't worried. "How are you feeling?"

She shrugged, playing with the Took's little arms. "I'm good. My back doesn't hurt. And you're here!" She instantly cheered up remembering how happy she was that he was there. It was nice to have her friends with her.

"Skyguy," She set the doll on his knee. "Meet your nephew!"

Anakin gave her a weird look. That would make him her brother.

"Go on." She encouraged him. "Say hello."

He picked it up. "Hello...um…"

"Scrappin Scruffy Macdoogle of the Highland Mcdoogles the Third."

"Yes, um...Scruffy. It's nice to meet you."

Ahsoka had the Tooka walk around her bed, talking to all her friends. The three of them stayed with her for almost another hour as the medicine wore off and she became more and like her normal self.

….

Ahsoka yawned. "Thanks for staying with me guys." She was worn out from everything she'd been through that night.

"No problem, sir." The Captain said. He checked the time. "I think I better be going back to the barracks."

"Thanks for everything, Rexo." She was still holding onto Scrappin Scruffy Macdoogle of the Highland Mcdoogles the Third, who had a very exciting hour of running around on the bars of the hospital bed.

He smiled at her with a nod. "Take care, Ahsoka." And stood up, walking out of the medbay door.

Obi-Wan remembered then that he had a council meeting that morning, which he couldn't attend unrested. He looked at Anakin. "You two will be okay on your own?"

The man put his hand on his master's shoulder. "We will. Go get some rest, Master."

Obi-Wan said his goodbye's to both of them, before leaving as well.

Ahsoka leaned back into the pillows, letting out a tired sigh and closing her eyes.

But Anakin needed to talk to her before she could fall asleep.

He needed to know.

He sat next to her on the bed, starting to rub her knee. "Ahsoka," he started.

"What is it?" She asked, not opening her eyes.

"I...I have to ask you something, Ahsoka." He bit his lip, it was hard to say. "Did Atai...do anything to you?"

Ahsoka seemed taken aback, and she flinched at the name. Memories were trying to resurface even from the name, but she held them down. "Well, he whipped me." She said quietly.

He sighed. "I know, I know. But…."

"Master, what are you talking about?" She sat up, her eyes filled with confusion.

"When you were in the bacta tank...I, had a vision. I saw you, I saw you being hurt, and he…." Anakin swallowed hard. Out with it Skywalker.

"He was threatening to rape you."

Ahsoka gripped her Tooka doll in her hands as her face whitened.

"There's nothing you can do, weak Jedi. You're master's not going to help you now."

She looked at nothing, trying to stop herself from thinking about it. It's over, Ahsoka. It's over, you're okay.

Anakin didn't seem to notice how distraught his apprentice was. "Did he? If so…" He realized something then. Even after the vision he'd been so…...physical. Kissing her forehead, holding her hand, rubbing her knee, he thought he was helping, but what if he was only making things worse?

He took his hand off her leg, and quickly stood up, away from her. "Force, I am so, so sorry. I shouldn't have…"

"No, no, Master, it's okay." She motioned for him to sit back down but he didn't. His back was pressed against the wall, like she had some horrid disease he didn't want to get. His arms crossed on his chest, head down and vulnerable.

"Master, please. Sit down and let me explain." She swallowed hard, shaking her head to get rid of Atai's words.

He shook his head. "I'm sorry." He repeated.

"Anakin, he didn't rape me, please."

"Are you lying?"

"No. No I'm not." She just wanted him to believe her. "Sit down."

Slowly, ever so slowly, he did. But his hands were on his lap and he was nearly falling off. She knew he wasn't going to do anything, so she made the first move.

She grabbed his hand. "Master, I'm thankful you're worried. But you could never do anything wrong. Never. You're just trying to help, and I'm grateful."

He tried again. "You can tell me anything, Ahsoka."

"He didn't." She thought for a moment, releasing his hand.

"Pinky promise." She held out her pinky. It was the most sincere way she could think of, the only way to get him to trust her. They hadn't done it in awhile, but when they were both younger a few years back they used it all the time.

…..

"It's my first solo mission!" She said. "Hey, lighten up, I'll be fine. I promise."

"Pinky promise?"

..

CRASH!

"Pinky promise you won't tell Obi-Wan."

…..

"I'm just...going to Padme's to talk about, Senate stuff."

"You'll be careful though?" She didn't trust his flying, especially in the weather Coruscant city had been getting lately.

"Pinky promise."

..

"It was just a dream, Ahsoka. You'll be okay, I won't let anybody hurt you."

"Promise?"

"Pinky promise."

.

And now she was sitting in a medbay holding out her hand and silently begging for him to take it.

He sighed. "You mean it then." And they shook their fingers together, his robotic one squeezing her's too tight like how she remembered it.

"And listen, Master."

"Hmm?" He dropped his hand.

"I couldn't have asked for anyone else to help me better than you. You're the best." She smiled, the biggest, most genuine smile he'd seen her give in a long time. She leaned forward with the little strength she had, the blankets falling to her thighs.

She wrapped her arms around his neck, her face resting on his shoulder. It was hard to hug him, and it was awkward, leaning over to reach him and almost falling.

He scooted closer to her and their bodies met, his strong arms around her waist. A proper hug, if you will. He was careful not to hurt her scars though. She pressed her face into his chest, grabbing at the back of his tunic with her fingernails.

She could still hear the, beep... beep…. beep... of machines throughout the medbay, but it didn't seem as bad now. She wasn't shaky or panicking, instead she tuned into the man's heartbeat as it fell in sync with her's.

Thud….THUD... thud…. THUD…. thud…

The memories of what Atai said to her faded as she got lost in her and Anakin's embrace.

Anakin snuggled his chin in between the dip of her monstrals, feeling them against the sides of his face.

She murmured something.

"I…..you."

Her voice was muffled, but he understood.

He held her tighter, a soft smile spreading across his face.

"Me too, Snips. Me too."

THE END :)
