A/N Welcome to my story. Oh jeez, that sounded weird. This is a rewrite not sure why that was needed to be said since most of you guys are reading this for the first time. Um, yah, not sure why I'm doing this since my writing sucks but here I am putting my shoot on the internet. Um, I hope I will be happy with this rewrite and I hope you support this.

Annabeth POV:

"Annabeth! Thalia! Get up, and stop being so lazy!" my oh-so nice and patient mother called.

"Yes, mother", I replied in my practically dead state as I slowly rolled off my stack of hay that I call my bed. I quickly got up, patted down my bird's nest of hair and I decided to start my day since I did not feel like getting beat by a broom. Thalia, my sister, was still dead asleep, drool coming off her mouth in waterfalls.

Oh, how rude of me to not introduce myself. My name is Annabeth Chase, which most of you already know. Ok, that's about all you have to know for the time being, let's move on.

So, as I was trying to shake my sister awake since she was being a lazy pain in the butt, my father, Fredrick, decided to wake up at that moment.

"What are you girls doing being so lazy?" Father yelled, jolting my brother, Malcolm awake in the process.

"Father, I'm just-", I started. This has happened on many separate occasions and every single time, I was doing something that I shouldn't have been blamed for but was blamed for anyways. And every single time, I tried to explain, but couldn't.

"You don't talk unless I tell you to, young lady, be more like your mother", Father cutting me off, eyes cold as Antarctica.

"Yes, Father", I said, my head down.

"And Thalia Chase!" Father continued, going off on my sister. "Get up and get me my tea! Or rather call your blasted mother to do it". My sister was very much awake at that moment and mumbled a "yes, Father" whilst getting up.

When Thalia was in her pre-teens, she was brave enough to talk back to Father (earning her many slaps but that's beside the point). I admired Thalia for that since I would never be able to.

"You, Annie!" Father called again. "Go to your mother and do what she tells you".

"Yes Father", my mouth replied.

So, I followed Thalia out the door.

I entered the kitchen to find my Mother cooking, probably for Father and Malcolm, with a slumped figure and tired eyes. I felt bad for her but I wish she wouldn't take her stress and anger out on me and Thals. Malcolm said that Mother used to be so happy and bright when she wasn't under so much stress from Father and used to be so loving towards Malcolm, before Thalia and I were born. But then, Father came along with some wealth and Mother's parents forced her to divorce her husband at the time and marry Father. She pleaded with her mother and father to let her keep Malcolm, considering that her husband was very loving and understood her pain of leaving Malcolm. So, he let her keep him if her parents agreed. After some convincing and rebelling, her parents agreed and married her off to Father, worst event in her life. It makes me shiver thinking that Father might force me to marry some rich man with a horrible personality.

So, yes Thalia is my biological sister and Malcolm is our half- brother. I still loved him as much as Thalia though, since he didn't threaten us like Father nor boss us around like Mother. Father didn't like Malcolm just because he was a child of a different man, but he was a man nevertheless and got special treatment. Soon, though, he will be living in a different city, Demigod City, and he won't always be there for Thalia and I when Father went on a rampage.

But anyways, now, Father has a steady income that was middle class which was better than Mother's living conditions before. But even though she had better living conditions, she wasn't happy. I try to be a good daughter and help her around the house but she's so mean to me that sometimes I just wanted to give up.

"Took you long enough, Annie", Mother's cold as stone eyes stared into mine. Sometimes, I really didn't believe she was ever happy once upon a time.

Thalia walked past me with her head down, sending me a smile, as she got a cup of tea from Mother.

"Sorry Mother", I replied. "What is it you want me to do?".

"Annie, today is Market Day", Mother stated. "Bring Thalia with you. You'll have to get the usual. Come back before 30 minutes past 4.

"Yes Mother", I said, hastily heading back to the bedroom. I was silently screaming with joy inside. This was mine and Thalia's only day off in the week, since we usually had a buttload of chores, so I was excited to go to the market, Grover's Groceries. Which my friend Grover Underwood ran. He was a kind man and he had a lovely wife that he didn't treat like a slave. Then again, around one fourth of families are like that which is way more than it used to be but there is still a long way to go before woman's rights are established.

As I approached the bedroom, I saw Thalia come out, looking completely furious.

"Why do you look so mad, Thals", I asked.

"It's nothing", she answered, avoiding eye contact.

"Come on, it's something", I pestered.

"Nothing, nothing, let's move on", Thalia once again insisted, struggling to make her face neutral.

I dropped it, if Thalia doesn't want to tell you something, she won't tell you.

"Well, Mother told us to go to the market", I said, Thalia's eyes lighting up.

"Today's market day?" Thalia said, finally succeeding in transitioning to a neutral expression.

"You bet it", I replied as we started walking to the front door. I could still see that Thalia was troubled from whatever Father said while bringing him tea, but trying to pry something out of her was trying to pry apart metal once you've melted[ZC(1] them together. It was near impossible.

Whatever, I thought, as Thals and I walked out the door, saying goodbye to Mother.

"Didn't Grover say something about hiring some of his friends to work at the market?" Thalia said, jolting me back to reality.

"Oh, ya he did, let's hope they aren't total douchebags", I replied, laughing.

"Knowing Grover, they would either be extremely nerdy, like you, or extremely eco-friendly", Thalia said, snorting as I slapped her. I must admit I was a nerd, but I only get to read books on Market Day, which only happened once every week, so that doesn't count.

"Anyways, I hope we get to meet them", I said.

"Yah, I guess", Thalia replied.

"Hey Thals, do you think that we should pick up Pipes?" I asked. Piper was our best friend and we always met her at the market. Though today, she said she wanted to tell us something important.

"Oh, ya", Thalia exclaimed. "She said she had to tell us something correct?".

"Indeed", I replied as we switched course to Piper's house. We weren't very far off, since her house and my house were about 10 minutes away, walking. And as we walked the rest of the minutes to Piper's house, Thalia and I just talked about Grover, Market Day, and what Piper would want to tell us.

"Ooh! Maybe Piper wants to tell us that she finally enjoys rock music", Thalia said.

"Ya, that ain't gonna happen", I replied. "Piper is a hard-core jazz girl. Especially a Daylor Twift girl (A/N See what I did there? That's 'cause they live in an alternate world)".

"She could use a change", Thalia mumbled.

"You could too. All you listen to is Black day and Bincoln Park", I replied. "Maybe you should read instead".

"Ya, I'm not turning into a nerd anytime soon", Thalia replied. She earned herself another slap.

"Hmmf. Says the punk girl", I said snottily.

"Hey!"

"We're here, Thals", I said. Indeed, we were at Piper's house. And it was a rich house at that. She didn't exactly have a mansion per say, but she definitely didn't have a cottage like us.

We raced up to the door, yelling at each other, and Thalia still not over being called a punk girl, kicked the door.

"You wear black clothing all the time and you have short spiky hair like Ciley Myrus", I said.

"Excuse me! I don't look like Ciley Myrus, my hair is way spikier", Thalia replied.

"Well-", I started.

"Jesus Christ, it's too early in the morning to hear you bicker", Piper said, opening the door, rubbing her eyes. She got to wake up at 6:00 A.M. in the morning on most days, but for Market Day, she was forced to wake up at 4:00 AM so it wasn't too crowded at the market.

"We wake up at 4:00 AM every morning, Pipes", I said, looking her dead in the eyes.

"Well I don't", Piper curtly replied, turning to get a coat. She had a god-forsaken coat! We didn't even have good-quality shoes that didn't wear out in the first few weeks of wearing them!

"Lucky duck", I mumbled.

"Anyways, let's get going", Thalia pestered.

"Okay chill Thals", Piper said as she lethargically walked out the door.

"Didn't you have to tell us something, Piper?" I asked as we entered the main road.

Piper's eyes immediately brightened. "Oh my god yes!", Piper said, grabbing onto my arm. "Silena's coming back from Demigod City!".

"Oh?" I said stunned. I saw Thalia in the corner of my eyes, face harden and relax. Thals didn't really like Silena because of how she obsessed over romance and how bubbly she was. Of course, I only knew that she didn't like Silena, and besides Thalia has only met Silena twice. I don't think that's enough time to judge someone, but you do you, Thals. I had tried to convince her to reconsider since I really liked Silena, but she refused.

"Do you wanna meet her when she comes to my house?" Piper asked, nudging me.

"Sure, Thals you wanna come?" I asked, turning around to look at Thalia who had lagged behind. I knew she would say no but… it couldn't hurt to ask.

"Nah, I'm fine. I need to rent some more Black Day cassettes", Thalia answered.

"Great, then looks like it's just you and me, Annie", Piper said, swinging her arm around my shoulders.

"Don't call me Annie", I sneered, knocking her arm off my shoulders.

"Jeez, chill", Piper replied as we neared Grover's Groceries.

"Also, Thalia why do you look so tense?" Piper asked, turning around.

"Nothing, nothing", Thalia replied. To think of it, after bringing Father tea, Thalia has been quite tense.

"Ok then…", Piper replied, squinting her eyes. She was an amazing judge of emotions, so I was not surprised when she commented on Thalia's tenseness.

"So, I'll see you after I've gotten my groceries", I said to Piper, as we entered the building and grabbed a basket, me pulling Thalia away to start getting groceries.

"Hey, we gotta go to the sewing aisle", I said as we passed the checkout waving to Grover.

"Ok", Thalia replied.

As we entered the aisle, I found two male teenagers just chatting in there. That was strange. Usually the women went out on Market Day not the men.

Anyways, one of the boys had sparkling sea-green eyes rimmed with gold while the other one had black orbs rimmed with silver. I had never seen gold and silver rimmed eyes. They did contrast well with their ebony-black hair, strong build, and relatively nice attire though.

"Hey Percy, look at them girls", Mister black eyes said, turning to Thalia and I. He seemed to radiate death and creepiness from him, and it wasn't pleasant.

"What?" Mister sea-green eyes said. He was probably the Percy black eyes was referring to considering he was the only other person in the aisle. He radiated power and leadership.

"They look pretty and poor like any other girl in this blasted market", black eyes said, picking at his nails.

"Well of course, Nico, we are at a Dionysus City market after all. Though they seem to be a lot prettier than the others", Percy replied.

Nico snorted.

Thalia's face was slowly getting angry by the way she tensed up, getting more tense by the second as Percy and Nico started talking and commenting on our clothes too.

"Ya, the clothes look so cheap, they seem to be from Never 21", Nico commented.

"Totally, they look horrible. The girls would look prettier with clothes from Guzzi", Percy replied.

"Well, at least we ain't spoiled (Insert swear word here) like you people", Thalia exploded.

"Oh, we're so sorry, sweetie", Nico replied sarcastically, enjoying Thalia's anger. He winked.

"I swear to god if you call me sweetie again, I will-", Thalia started, hands balling into fists.

"Chill Thalia, they aren't worth it", I cut her off, pulling on her arms. I frankly that their attitude was going to go well with my fist too.

"Go listen to your sister, Thalia", Percy said, mockingly. I sent him my death glare and I am happy to say that he flinched.

"Oh, you two will p-", Thalia once again attempted to make a threat.

"Thalia", I said.

"Ok fine Annie", Thals said, giving up.

"See you later, losers", Thalia said, glaring at Percy and Nico. They just continued smile cockily.

"Ok Thals, so we also need eggs, um, meat, yarn, fertilizer…", I listed to Thalia, continuing to list more as we walked down the aisle.

_Time Skip 30 minutes_

As we finished up on getting the items we needed, we met Piper at the checkout. There was Grover standing there with a warm smile on his face.

"Hello Annabeth, Thalia", Grover said as he saw us. "I have some people I want you to meet".

"Oh, the new workers?" I asked.

"Yep", Grover replied, popping the p.

"That's over there is Jason. And the man right next to him is his brother Charles, though you call him Beckendorf", Grover said, pointing to a blonde-haired guy with electric blue eyes, and a brown-haired guy with electric blue eyes standing behind the checkout counter (A/N I know I know I know. Beckendorf doesn't have electric blue eyes but whatever). Piper was talking to Jason, and she was constantly fidgeting with her coat zipper. She did that when she was nervous, and I hope Jason didn't do anything to her to make her be like this.

"And then we also have Luke who I will introduce to you soon. I don't really know him well but he's a pretty nice guy. And finally, Nico and Percy", Grover added on. Wait, Percy and Nico? The Percy and Nico who were arrogant idiots?

"Wait, Nico and Percy?" Thalia asked, getting slightly angry.

"Yep", Grover said, not aware of Thalia's anger. "Oh, and here they come".

We turned around to find the same Percy and Nico in the sewing aisle, talking and laughing.

"YOU", Thalia said, pointing her finger at them.

"Me", Percy said dryly and sarcastically.

"Grover how in the name of Dionysus did you become friends with these douchebags?" Thalia asked, obviously angry.

"Oh, them? Because they are nice people", Grover replied.

"Nice? When were they ever nice?" Thalia said.

"Once upon a time", Nico replied, walking up to us.

"Yo, Jason, Beck, who's the girl y'all are talking to!" Percy shouted, attracting plenty of looks.

"Quiet down Perce. And this is Piper", Jason said, Beckendorf trailing behind.

"She ain't bad, good catch Jase", Nico commented, whistling. The audacity of that boy.

"You aren't gonna talk about my girlfriend's sister like that Nicky", Beckendorf said. Yes, he is Silena's boyfriend.

"And you aren't gonna call me Nicky, Beck", Nico grumbled.

"Silena has a sister? Since when?" Percy asked, crossing his legs and leaning on the counter.

"Since about 15 years ago but you wouldn't know that since you have one braincell", Beckendorf answered.

"So, we'll just being going. Bye Jason, Beckendorf, Percy, Nico", Piper awkwardly said, having had joined Thalia and I while the boys were bickering.

"Oh, Piper we haven't checked out yet", I mentioned, as I placed the products on the checkout.

"I wonder when Luke's gonna appear, he's always hanging around in the back", Jason mumbled.

A second later I heard a "speak of the devil", from Nico as he pointed behind me.

I turned around to see a blonde boy with sky blue eyes. And I must admit, he was handsome. He was a little less muscular than Percy, Jason, Nico and definitely not as muscular as Beckendorf. Plus, he had a huge scar running down most of his face. Though he had a kind smile and face plus bright, sparkling eyes that made up for it. He radiated happiness, innocence, and politeness.

"Who are these lovely ladies?" Luke asked in a sophisticated tone.

"These are Annabeth, Thalia, and Piper", Grover replied.

"Oh, hello, my name is Luke Castellan. It's very nice to meet you".

A/N Oh my actual frick. I forgot how much I enjoyed writing (especially fanfiction) when I had stopped. Thank you, actually for letting me continue. I don't know why I stopped. Anyways, I'm relatively satisfied with this chapter. I kinda just free wrote without planning which was pretty nice. Review, favorite, follow. I don't know what it is with reviews, but I love them. Maybe it's the feeling of, is it a hate comment or a compliment when I receive one in my email. Thank you for checking out my story, hope you liked it, love y'all, sorry for being such a horrible human being and thank you so much for supporting me and my stupid story. Hope you stay safe, wash your hands, and thank you once again.

Thank you and peace out,

Artemis's Hunt :)

Also, I liked how I ignored the fact that I wrote this with 3000+ words. Also, GET TF OUT OF MY STORY LUKE, LEAVE! NO ONE LIKES YOU HERE OR ANYWHERE SO GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. Though it does give good content.
