Yo! Sorry this upload is late! I have been having internet problems lately. This should be the 5th chapter of Miraculously Broken. Thanks for Reading!

Hospital - Mairnette

Marinette fiddled with her fingers as the teary eyed group entered her hospital room.

"Mari!"

The chorus of her dear friends made Marinette clench her eyes shut tight. Guilty for worrying others with her problems, Marinette felt her anxiety take over. The voices in her head were deafening as they screamed: Their worried about you. Everyone always has to worry about you. Why can't you ever stand on your own two feet? You always let them down. They cried for you! You shouldn't even be Ladybug!

That last one made her pause. She never asked to be Ladybug. In fact, Marinette tried to pass on the responsibility. Being Marinette was draining enough, adding Ladybug and Guardian duties to that was killing her. But giving up Ladybug, meant giving up Tikki. And giving up Guardian would wipe her memory. I'm being selfish, aren't I? How can I even be Ladybug now that I am injured? Even after I heal, I will have to transfer to a boarding school of Maman and Papa's choice...

"I'm sorry Tikki." I know what I have to do...

Marinette's hands raised up to her ears and began to fiddle with the backs of her earrings.

Tikki's eyes went wide in horror.

Hospital

"I'm sorry Tikki."

The tiny kwami felt miserable. Marinette was a TRUE Ladybug. Tikki had connected to her soul in every bit possible. And she knew she wasn't the only one. All of the Kwami were emotionally attached to the young Guardian. Even Plagg.

That's why when her holder began to reach for the earrings, Tikki turned to the last resort. I can't lose this one. Not Marinette!

With widened, horror-filled eyes, Tikki flew towards Marinette.

"Zǔzhòu hé zhùfú, zuì gǔlǎo de yīzhǒng.

Xiànzài mìfēng shén cìyǔ de mófǎ. Bǎohù wěidà de yǒnghéng shǒuhù zhě, mǎlǐ tè tè·dùpèichéng!" Tikki chanted in a panic.

Plagg and Adrien seemed to stare on with both shocked and confused gazes as the Ladybug Miraculous glowed in reaction to the chant.

When the glow died down, Marinette could be seen struggling to remove the earrings from her ears. Marinette looked to be near tears, desperate, as if removing the earrings would save all of humanity. And Tikki...

Tikki was smirking.

Plagg knew that when Tikki smirked, it was dangerous. And being the every curious cat god he is, Plagg chose to ask the questions.

"Eh, ah... Sugar cube?" Tikki turned to Plagg and flashed him the most brilliant smile he had seen in decades. Tikki was radiating with pride. And had he not just seen the light show, Plagg would be scared. "Um, what just happened, Tikki?"

"I just sealed the Ladybug miraculous to Marinette for at least the next 100 years."

...

...

"YOU DID WHAT?!"

Grand Hotel (Come on, you knew it was coming)

Chloe had been sleeping in bed, rather restlessly, when she started awake.

"Marinette!"

Panting, Chloe looked around her room to observe her surroundings. Once she confirmed that she was indeed still safe in her bedroom, Chloe fought to recall the awful nightmare she woke from.

Marinette? Blood... BLOOD!

Panic consumed the blonde girl. The dream had seemed so real...

Chloe dove for her cell phone and rushed to dial the noirnette's number.

RRRrrrrrrring!

RRRrrrrrrring!

RRRrrrrrrring!

Each ring struck Chloe with more fear. I'm sure she is fine... Right? Dupain-Cheng is strong... The phone picked up after five more rings.

...

...

...

Only, Marinette didn't answer.

Her parents did.

With heavy, sad, teary voices.

And words that spoke the truth Chloe couldn't bare to hear.

End Note: I am still having internet problems so I won't be able to update for a while.

Finally some Chloe action!

Translation for Tikki's Chant:

"Curses and Blessings, Of the oldest Kind.

Seal now within,

The magic gods've given.

Protect the Great Eternal Guardian, Marinette Dupain-Cheng!"

Cheesy. I know. But come on! Miraculous is suppose to be a kids show, and my fic has been way to sad. I considered having Bunnix pop in just to lighten the mood... actually I'm still considering that.

Also, forgive me if the translation is in anyway incorrect... English is my first language and I simply used Google Translate for the chant.

Peace out!
