In life, there are many labels to define groups of people and the people in those groups individually.

These labels were initially made to form either a category of people or a tribal feeling of unity between the people that were part of said group, but eventually, that changed.

The labels once used to form unity were changed into what works and what doesn't work in the eyes of the always productivity-focused society.

PROGRESS PROGRESS PROGRESS

BLAME TAKE JUDGE IGNORE WORTHLESS USEFUL IGNORANT WISE

Useless

Judgment was no longer based on the physical or mental prowess of being able to survive off the land and its rough environments, but how efficient you can be for society.

This behaviour is seen every day and everywhere.

An example of this could be the following.

A college graduate meets another person, they talk and they like that person be it romantically or amicably, the college graduate then asks them what they studied, the other person embarrassed by the mindset society has put upon them says they didn't graduate, in fact, they didn't even finish high school, now this person could have a multitude of other abilities that don't necessarily reflect in their academics but all of that is ignored in front of the simple fact that they don't have an education.

As soon as those words are said, the college graduate's opinion of the person drops considerably, of course, this could be solved by talking about the circumstances that led to the inability of the person to finish their studies, and if empathetic enough, their relationship would surely be solved even to the point of being strengthened because of the openness between them.

But most times, it would end up in them being looked down upon and, in some cases with some elitists kind of people, even with a small touch of disgust added in, of course not publicly, after all, showing your emotions towards people directly would be weird and weird in modern society is considered extremely bad.

They don't study and are not working even after graduating? Instantly the brain searches for a label to attach to the person, NEET, therefore by the generalized label they have attached to the person they must be lazy, stupid and some would even say probably a bad person.

Humans could no longer live off the earth, most land nowadays was owned, if you wanted to eat meat you needed a hunting permit, to know that the animal you were hunting is not in danger of extinction and many many more regulations.

If you wanted to eat vegetables, you needed, land, seeds, fertilizer, a permit and so on and so forth.

A person without money couldn't simply live off the land most of the times, and to get money, one needs to work for society.

He didn't hate the people that participated in this society, in fact, he held no opinion of them neither as individuals or as a group, after all, one has to survive with the hand that one has been dealt with.

What he hated was the hypocritical nature of it, how people rejected themselves in favour of fitting in with society's standards of what was considered "normal".

How people who's instincts left to them by their ancestors who survived the roughest of times were now isolated and called "uncivilized" by doing normal human things such as performing acts of violence in front of threats and doing whatever they could in order to survive in a society that limited your options greatly and where money was everything.

Funnily enough, they called pitying the weak being humane when the truly human thing to do would have been to enslave them or kill them like human beings had done not so long ago and continued doing in the more "human" parts of the world.

Weird, weird was a word attributed to people or things that didn't fit the norm, something that wasn't useful for modern society to add to its machine, better isolate them, keep them far away from others.

Contrasting from weird is the word eccentric.

Eccentric, meaning, that while they have their oddities, in the eyes of society, they are still useful, they can be added as another gear to the workings of the black machine.

He was that kinda person.

No, not eccentric, he was weird.

He wasn't in a phase where he thought he wasn't like the others because no one understood him, he was wrong.

He wasn't unique.

He wasn't special.

He wasn't one of a kind.

He wasn't the chosen one.

He was weird.

He like many people had something about him that made him be ostracized and shunned by his peers, he was a weirdo, a creep, a freak and many many other labels society would create for him in order to keep him away and isolated so he doesn't compromise any of the normal working gears in its beautifully designed black machine of artificial greed.

What was wrong with him you ask?

He was curious.

Very, very curious.

He couldn't control his thoughts and could barely contain his actions when he was approached by something that caught his attention, apart from the things that caught his attention, everything was a disgustingly dull and mind-numbing.

Some might think that while it did seem hard and could be even annoying to a degree, it didn't seem like something to be shunned or ostracized for.

Those people likely didn't know the depths of human curiosity.

Curiosity is the thing that kept us alive through history in the shape of things like the discovery of medicine, agriculture and many more things that resulted from a simple thought.

"What if..?"

But just as the mind giveth, it taketh.

The curiosity that had made humans survived was also a curse, for some were not able to control it.

Death by eating poisonous materials, the impulse of what would happen if one were to let a small baby fall to the ground, messing with animals and people one does not know of, trying to figure out what would happen if one were to detonate a nuclear warhead to ignite ozone layer.

Such were the thoughts of mankind, and their most dangerous kind was the ones that couldn't control such thoughts from becoming actions.

The Bible, something he had been practically forced to read and remember thanks to his Hispanic family, had a proverb on this.

Sheol and Abbadon are never satisfied and never satisfied are the eyes of man.

The thing that ended up marking him as a gear not able to become fully working was an incident that occurred when he was but fifteen years old, he had done a paper for his high school about why he disliked modern society, the paper encompassed all the answers he had come to find through his almost infinite curiosity, he thought the professor being someone impartial would try to dig in and understand his point of view more, instead, his paper had been publicly shamed by the teacher along with this his ideals.

Delusional, mentally ill, ignorant and as expected of a child.

Soon enough someone had made copies of it and spread them on multiple group chats on school, a paper about human behaviour, instincts left to us by our ancestors who lived through us in our natural instincts and how industrial society would be the downfall of this world.

In the end, rumours spread.

School shooter vibes, Ted K. wannabe, probably part of some pagan cult and numerous other names were thrown around his way indirectly.

The bullying jock stereotype was very much dead, there were some exceptions but nowadays those weren't the norm.

What was the norm when someone was considered weird, a freak and a creep?

Merciless social death, destruction of their privacy and continuous death threats from anonymous people.

This eventually all passed but his new reputation had stayed, one day, as he browsed the internet and read manga, one of the few pass times that could maintain his attention, a thought appeared on his mind, a thought that, try as he might, was not able to remove from his brain until it completely consumed him.

What happened when people died?

Religion told of life after death, if one were to have faith.

Unfortunately, he couldn't create faith inside of his being, believing something without being fully certain of it was something that was against his whole existence and his inner world, his family refused to accept his reasoning when he explained it to them just the same way they refused to accept the fact that their religious views were just as violent and dark as many of the others around, he didn't tell them this on a pejorative way as he understood human nature and the book itself told or how humans were made in the image of God who was himself angry and jealous, but, as he started stating what was on the book all he got back was a grounding and the scorn of the most religious parts of the family.

Science told of a nothingness afterwards, cosmic dust we are and cosmic dust we will be, nothing after.

Most of these were simply theories, nothing was confirmed, for obvious reasons, you simply can't apply a hypothesis to death because, well, to try it would be to die and you can't really come back from that.

While most people adored science like they adored a God from a cult-like religion itself there the fact was that science didn't have an answer to most things but merely a theory, a theory wouldn't satisfy him.

If he wanted to know why he slept, well, science didn't know, but, there were many theories and hypothesis to pick and choose from, some people accepted these theories as truth and forgot that they are theories, others become confused and don't understand it but simply accept it as truth because someone they consider smarter than they told them so, others chose to oppose it not because they have the correct information but because they are fed false information and believe that to be the truth, but in the end, they all put science on a pedestal whether to praise it or reject it when in truth, most of the things both in the universe and in our world were unknown and unable to be explained by the wide scope of the sciences.

And therefore, there was only one way to figure out what happens after the death of someone.

To experience it yourself.

He didn't have a dislike for life, nor he possessed an adoration for it, it was merely something like anything else, everyday people died in gruesome and heartless ways, no one cared, the most you'd get from a person when you told them someone they didn't know died was to say "That sucks." and move on with their day.

Yet again he wouldn't blame this person for he understood their thought process, at least the more subconscious one, it's normal that when someone who you have no attachment to dies you won't feel any emotion from it, so to shame someone for not feeling sad over people they have never met would be idiotic.

Since the day he was born he understood he was predestined to die one way or another, well, not literally, of course, he could barely remember things from when he was seven years of age.

And so he stood in a place far away from his home with a gun in his pocket searching for a place to die and where his body would never be found.

He wasn't inconsiderate, his family had done their best to feed him, clothe him and teach him properly.

He wouldn't repay them by giving them thousands of dollars of debt for either burying or cremating his body.

He entered a forest, slowly making his way deeper and deeper, the lights of civilization and the society he abhorred gradually decreased in their glow, letting the calm mantle of darkness fall upon him.

He took out his old smartphone and turned on the flashlight, the light appeared and his way was illuminated, he kept walking deeper and deeper in the forest hoping to find the place he had scouted a few weeks back, he might be impulsive in his curiosity but he wasn't unprepared.

And so, after a few kilometres of walking under the moonlight's faint glow, he reached his destination, a ravine deep enough that the bottom couldn't be seen even when trying to shine a light towards the bottom of it.

He sat at the edge of it as he felt his primal instincts set it, cold sweat, nervous shakes and the usual fight or flight response.

The gun in his hand had been sold to him by another student in his high school, a known gang member and drug dealer, such was but one of the many things allowed in public schools, but even the gangbanger was a gear for society, he showed the bad, he was a bad example and something you shouldn't be, instead, you should follow the good examples and give your whole being for everything society can provide for you, if you obey the rules, that is.

Once again lost in his thoughts he didn't even notice the person sitting next to him before he could say anything they spoke.

"Hey dude, gonna kill yourself?"

No emotion in his voice, no worry, no sadness, only curiosity.

"Yes."

A simple response and a simple nod were given to the man next to him whose face he couldn't quite make out.

The man put his hand on his chin and made a thinking sound, he then turned to him again and spoke.

"You depressed or something? Life gets better and all that you know?"

Slightly smiling at the horrible attempt of the man to convince him he replied.

"Not at all, it's all from an impulse of curiosity, I wish to know what happens when one dies, so, I came to the conclusion that the best way to know is to die yourself."

The man's expression didn't change but he let out a small chuckle.

"You're one fucked up dude you know that?"

He simply chuckled and replied.

"So I've been told..."

The man let out a small laugh as he continued looking towards him, some kind of conclusion appeared to happen in his brain as his eyes caught a slight glint of emotion in them.

"Hey, this is kinda like a waste of life or something, so, I have a proposal, what do you say instead you become my champion after you die?"

And so his attention was caught, his curiosity getting the best of him he shoved the gun into the pocket of his parka and looked straight at the man.

The man explained what he had meant as he saw the curiosity rising inside the young man.

"Let me introduce myself, I'm Qruoz, God of Intuition."

Great, a cult leader.

Sighing to himself the teenager suddenly felt let down, one could also call this feeling, disappointment.

"Aw come on, kid! I'm a God you know? sighing after I tell you that is so damn rude..."

Realizing his death was gonna happen no matter he simply decided to entertain the man, mostly because of his curiosity about him.

"Okay, I apologize, you can continue."

The man crossed his arms and made a "hmph" sound as he spoke with a higher pitch voice.

"Maybe I don't wanna tell you anymore b-baka!"

Unconsciously crumpling his nose the teen replied with the only thought in his head.

"Gross."

"AUGH!"

The man dramatically put his hand over his heart as fake tears flowed out.

"How could you be this mean..?"

Sighing to himself, the teen reminded the man.

"Can you get back to the topic at hand?"

"Ah! Yeah sorry, forgot for a moment, Tehee~!"

The man comically hit his head with his knuckles as his tongue moves to the side of his mouth.

"Anyways, look, in simple words for a dummy like you to understand, me god, I make you champion when you boom boom, you entertain me, I happy, I give very op powers, you travel through dimensions, I very entertained."

During his whole explanation, the "God" continued to make over-exaggerated gestures as if talking to a child who didn't speak the same language.

"You're pissing me off, can I shoot you in the face?"

The teen pulled the gun out of his pocket and tiredly pointed it at him with an annoyed expression as he cocked the gun.

"WAIT! NO! SORRY! PHYSICAL BODIES ARE REALLY HARD TO COME BY, PLEASE! PEOPLE DIE IF THEY ARE KILLED!"

"Of course they do dumbass, who are you referencing?"

"Shirou Emiya..."

"Never saw or read Fate."

"Oh you gotta man, you're missing out on a classic."

"I'm gonna kill myself remember?"

"Oh... Better luck next life?"

And like that, a silent atmosphere settled between the man and the teen, the teen lowered the gun and looked down the ravine, the instinctual fear of his ancestors telling him "If you fall there you gonna die dumbass." he had felt before no longer on him.

The man spoke yet again with his high pitched voice.

"Hehe~ This almost feels like a dat-"

"Finish that sentence and your brains are gonna be on the ground and eaten by animals by morning."

"Tch, you're no fun."

The silence quickly resumed between the two males, the teen was deep in thought about what he had said, he would give him powers to entertain him as long as he accepted, he didn't really believe the man but seeing as he was going to die anyway it would be nice to at least have a backup plan.

"I accept."

"Yeah, I'd imagine having something like that told out of nowhere you wouldn't wan-"

"I said I accept dumbass."

"For real?! Oh, dude! Awesome! Well, let's get this shit over with!"

Before the teen could ask more about it the man started talking in an unnatural and barely understandable way.

The teen suddenly realized that he might have been biting more than he could chew.

Before he could react in any way to what was happening the man tapped his head lightly with a finger radiating golden light.

His eyes seemed to short-circuit as something similar to glitching screens filled his view.

"Entertain me, my boy! Don't let me down!"

As he heard those words his body was pushed into the ravine, the last thing he saw before his vision went dark was the sharp rocks getting closer and closer at a very rapid pace.

[Ω-Uriel-Ω]

When he came to be he was no longer on that ravine, instead, in front of him was an upside-down car, seemingly crashed from somewhere and now slowly starting to drip gasoline, the change had been so sudden that he hadn't processed what had happened yet, his brain felt like mush and a feeling similar to an electric shock travelled through his brain.

he stood up from the ground where he had been facing down and felt blood drip from his head near to his eyes, he quickly wiped it away before it got inside of his eye.

"Uriel! Help your mother!"

Uriel? Was that supposed to be him?

He went around and saw a man, the man saw him and he could recognize relief in his face before he could come to any conclusions the man spoke.

"Uriel, my legs are trapped so it's useless! Don't worry about me! Get your mother out of the car!"

Ah, I see, this is my backstory as the main character, tragic backstory for the main character is a must after all.

Simply nodding he went around and saw a woman in her early 20's, her figure and face were unrecognizable because of how dark the road was, she had her seatbelt still on and was unconscious, no bones were broken, mild head trauma and a concussion, something easily fixable in a few weeks of rest.

How did I know that?

Shaking his head and trying to clear his thoughts he came back to the situation he was currently in, looking over his clothes he realized he had quite a few layers of clothing, he also realized something else, he seemed to be around ten years old.

This is going to be hard, but not impossible.

He took off his jacket and wrapped it around his hand, with three well placed precise strikes he broke the window as if he had been doing it his whole life, quickly he started removing the glass around the window and any glass that could hurt the woman when he unlocked the seatbelt.

He entered the car and moved under where she was, he quickly released the seatbelt and went under her to try and catch her with his body, as she fell on him he grabbed under her armpits and started pulling her out of the car with a lot of effort until they were finally a good ten meters or so away.

"Uriel, don't come back for me okay?! It's just gonna put you in danger!"

He simply nodded to the man not really having a connection to him to be willing to risk his life for him, the reason for saving the woman who is supposed to be his mother was of a mixed emotion between impulse along with the odds being on his side, while mostly impossible his instincts told him with his current situation he would be able to do so, so he did it.

On the other hand, saving a fully grown man as a ten-year-old boy with a split head and, to add even more of a challenge, the man has his legs stuck in the car as gasoline pours out around it? Not even a 1 in a billion chance.

"I leave your mother in your care, take care of her!"

It was nice knowing you Dad, as short as it was.

And before he knew it...

BOOM!

The car exploded in flames, the man who was supposed to be his father screamed as the flames burned him alive, eventually, the screaming stopped and rain started to fall, the boy covered his mother's body with his other two layers of clothing leaving him in only a long-sleeved t-shirt as he sat next to her body.

"Yep, that's gonna leave a psychological scar."

As he said those words he felt his consciousness leave him as his vision slowly faded to black.

Seven years had passed since that accident and since coming to his new life.

How would he describe the events that had transpired during that timeframe?

Uneventful.

After the incident, he woke up in a hospital where he had told the truth, that truth was that he didn't know anything.

Not where he was nor who he was, just some stuff here and there such as countries like Japan and USA from his previous world.

And so he was diagnosed with the typical amnesia, because of psychological trauma the doctors concluded, his mother seemed quite devastated about the whole situation, apparently, she had gotten married no more than a few months ago and hadn't even gone to a honeymoon with his father.

As he came to know his new name was Uriel León, it seemed like his Dad was a Spanish man living in Japan and he was the result of a previous marriage of his.

When he looked at the mirror he saw Golden eyes and reddish-brown hair leaning more to the red side, is this part of that shitty God's joke?

Should he now go around saying he wants to be an Ally of Justice? Give me a break...

The only difference between him and the Faker was that his face was more "western" in the sense that it was less circle-like and more square-like.

Years passed and his mom had gotten used to him, they had ended up living in a small apartment for quite some time and he had ended up doing most of the house chores while she was out working two jobs.

A thing had been very clear to him though.

He was very much one of the protagonists, if not the only one, of some kind of bad ecchi anime.

This hypothesis was based on one simple event.

His mother, after much time, had remarried and had chosen an older man as her partner, can you guess what happened?

Yep, the man had died after 5 months of getting married, a subway line accident.

Not only that, but the man's three daughters also had no living relatives.

So now, as a seventeen-year-old boy, he shared the house left to his mother by the older man of her previous marriage with four, not one, not two, not three, but four blood unrelated women that fit different anime stereotypes.

He sighed as he thought about the whole situation.

"Uri-kun, if you keep sighing everyday happiness is going to escape through your mouth you know?"

He turned to his side on the breakfast table and saw his oldest "sister" talking to him with a sweet smile on her face.

Shizuka Kobayakawa, mid-twenties, second-highest-ranking beauty of this household next to his own mother, a heavy smoker and a language teacher who, for some reason, uses a lab coat, too much Steins;Gate maybe?

One thing about her was sure, she was a very sweet woman whom he cared deeply about, at first he had tried not to, seeing as in the eyes of the God that sent him here all of this is but mere entertainment, but, after spending years with this new family, it had become impossible for him to not care about them, especially his mother whom he had come to respect greatly due to her resolve in getting past her disgraces and looking towards a brighter future, he sometimes wished he could be like that but also realized that kind of thought process was hard for him to accept.

"Sorry Shizuka, just thinking."

"There you go calling me by my first name again if people heard you call me that they'd think we're dating, would you take responsibility then?"

He forcefully made a 'PFFT!' sound come out of his mouth making it seem like he was about to laugh, this reply was met with anger in the eyes of the older woman.

"Oi brat, want me to fuck you up?"

"I apologize, Nee-chan."

Hearing the name he called her with she simply turned around to keep eating her food with a "Hmpf!" and a small blush on her face.

Shizuka, as he had been told by his mother, had her little Sukeban phase and maintained it all throughout high school until she went to college and realized how embarrassing it had been, that had left her with the habit of changing her way of speaking when she was angry this made it really easy to tease her.

"Geez, trying and failing to flirt with your little brother so early in the morning, so disgusting Nee-san, get a boyfriend your age already."

The middle sister came down the stairs as she stared at Shizuka with a smug expression on her face, she stood behind him and wrapped her arms around his neck as she put her face next to his.

"Don't you know most teenagers don't want old hags like you? They want someone cute and popular who is closer to their age, someone like me!"

As she finished saying that she made a perfect fake smile and tilted her head slightly to the side in a cutesy way.

He could see the fork on Shizuka's hand bend slightly as she gripped it tightly.

"You really woke up with a desire to die today didn't you, you little shit..?"

"Kyaaah! Riri! The old hag is threatening me!"

She hid her face in the crook of his neck as she over-exaggerated her mannerism, this was one of the many powers of the middle sister, Akira Kobayakawa.

1st place in every test and exam, always punctual, the first freshman to become student council president, an honour student from the inside out and a 3rd year.

That would be true were it not for her rotten personality, she loved knowing she had people eating out of her hand and within her reach of control, a natural-born manipulator.

If there was a secret someone had, she probably knew of it and had her ways to manipulate said person be it directly through blackmail or indirectly through suggestion.

"UUAAAAAAH! Uriel!? Why didn't you wake me up!?"

"Soffy, fofhot(Sorry, forgot)."

He replied to the first official member of the family with a loaf of toast in his mouth, his mother.

"Geez!"

Her buxom figure and curvaceous body made her way downstairs as she finished dressing, the only way one would be able to describe the woman known as Saika Fujikawa would be breathtaking, her almond-shaped eyes with the three whites showing were incredibly alluring, a small dot beauty mark was on the corner of her left eye giving her even more charm, her nose was slim and shapely and her lips full that had a natural shine which sometimes made him wonder if she was wearing some kind of lipstick despite her claim of not wearing any makeup, her body, to say it in a more vulgar way, was prime milf material, when one passed their eyes over it they simply couldn't stop, it was like it had an aura of sex appeal that irradiated from it.

Suddenly two knuckles found their way to his head hitting him hard, rubbing his head he spoke to the two women behind the act as he rubbed the back of his head.

"What was that for?"

"You were staring again brat."

"You were staring, you perv..."

A sigh came out of his mouth as he continued to eat the breakfast he had made earlier in the morning.

He went to pick a plate up and walked upstairs with it, on the second floor was the resident hikikomori stereotype, he disliked the fact that he was now used to using labels when he almost never used them in his previous life, something to fix later he supposes.

He knocked on the door and spoke.

"Saori, I have your breakfast."

The voice of Saori Kobayakawa could be heard on the other side of the door.

"Heh, it seems the mongrel has brought me my prana batteries to feast on, I'm delighted."

Yes, the Fate series did exist in this world.

Yes, his little sister is a chuuni.

Yes, she roleplays as Gilgamesh.

He hated it, but she's too cute to say no to.

With a sigh, he opened the door and let himself inside.

"AH! WAIT! NO DON'T COM-!"

Before she could finish he entered her room, no she wasn't naked, she was drawing, what was she drawing you ask?

Well, a female Gilgamesh cuddling naked with a very western-like Shirou who seemed very, very, familiar.

Seems like she was already at that age...

He ignored the screen of her computer and simply left the plate filled with foods on the computer desk.

"Remember to wash it 'kay?"

With her face beet red, she only let out a single sound from her mouth.

"y-yes..."

And that very much concluded one of many uneventful mornings in this weird house filled with the people he had come to consider his family.

He picked up his bag and started walking towards the high school he had been transferred to with Akira, she seemed very interested in showing him around her school and giving him the basic gist of everything.

As she walked next to him, she did her utmost best to tease him in every way that she could, after a lot of stares and glaring thrown his way she simply ended up wrapping her arms around his arm as she walked alongside him pressing herself as much as she could to him.

Being an ecchi anime protagonist who is not clueless is really hard...

"Remember Riri! Don't get into trouble! I might be the president but I can't get you out of an expulsion! And don't forget to come to see me during recess! I'll get mad if you don't okay?!"

As she said those words Akira skipped away to her class as she left him standing in front of his new classroom.

He could hear voices talking on the other side of the door.

"Okay, class! Today a new student is gonna be joining us, Reon-kun you can come in now!"

He sighed at the way the teacher addressed him, he wouldn't blame her though, his name was hard to pronounce by Japanese speakers.

He opened the door and lowered his head a little as he went through it, his height wasn't really abnormal in European standards but when the average Japanese man was 170cm and he was 188cm the difference was quite noticeable, especially when it came to everyday life.

Slowly he walked towards where the teacher was, his hands in his pockets as he looked around the classroom looking at the students.

Two students caught his eye, they seemed familiar but he couldn't quite put his finger on it, the male student looked back at him and glared for some reason, the female student simply looked confused as to why he would be looking at her.

He parted his eyes from the students and looked at the teacher who seemed quite surprised by his appearance herself.

"Umm, can you introduce yourself Reon-kun?"

Sighing he simply nodded, and went to pick up a chalk piece to write with, smoothly he wrote in perfect katakana his name.

Reon Urieru.

He then turned around and spoke to the students.

"My name is León Uriel, a pleasure to meet all of you."

As soon as he finished speaking murmurs and whispers began to fill the classroom.

"He's freaking tall!"

"Did you hear how he said his name? That sounded so exotic!"

"This is the guy that was all lovely-dovely with Aki-hime this morning, such luck!"

"Maybe he's blackmailing her into dating him, he certainly has the look for it!"

"Another male? Should've been a female transfer student..."

"Okay, calm down everyone! Reon-kun please take a seat behind Komuro-kun."

Ignoring his desire to punch some of the people whispering he decided to simply follow the orders of the teacher and sit behind the boy she had pointed at.

As he sat he looked out the window trying his best to ignore the commotion happening around and the teacher doing very poorly in containing it.

"Komuro Takashi."

The boy in front of him spoke as he looked towards him, pretty sudden but since they're going to be sharing a space he supposed it was normal to at least know each other.

He nodded towards him and replied.

"Uriel León, you can say my name however you like, I don't mind."

A small smile appeared on the boy's face as he heard that.

"Hope we get along then, Urie."

Giving him back a courtesy smile he replied.

"Same to you, Takashi."

He went back to watching the clouds in the sky, for some reason he couldn't help but feel a small pit forming in his stomach.

RIIIIIIIIIIIIING!

"Well, that'll be all for today class, if someone could please talk with Reon-kun and lend him their notes It'd be great."

As soon as recess started people surrounded him and started asking questions.

"Where are you from Reon-kun?"

"Have you ever been to America?"

"What's your relationship with the Student Council President?!"

"D-Do you have a girlfriend?"

Feeling his patience grow weak he stood up and started to walk away.

"I have pending compromises."

And with that he started to move, seeing as he didn't really know the school he decided to ask someone nearby.

"Hey, you."

The girl that had previously caught his attention when he was introducing himself was currently waiting in front of the classroom as she played with her hair, as soon as she heard him an annoyed expression appeared on her face but she still replied.

"Yes? Is there something you need?"

"Where is the classroom of the Student Council President?"

An expression of confusion and curiosity quickly replaced the annoyance as she replied.

"Why do you wanna know?"

Sighing to himself a small thought appeared on his mind.

'Was this what it was like dealing with me in my previous life? Always asking questions about stuff? So annoying...'

"I just wanna know."

This time the girl sighed and replied.

"Well, seeing as you're new here it'd be shitty of me to not help, don't get any ideas though, I have a boyfriend."

Instantly the redhead's nose scrunched up without meaning to.

"Ew."

The girl whipped her head almost slapping him with her long hair, her expression extremely annoyed and a bit angry.

"HUH?! What do you mean "Ew"?!"

"Sorry, subconscious reaction, you're just not my type."

Apparently this hadn't been the correct answer as the girl's face became almost red from humiliation.

"What do you mean subconscious reaction?!"

Slowly the energy was being drained from Uriel as he tried his best to not simply crush the head of the girl shouting at the top of her lungs in front of his face.

"Can you simply help me or do I have to ask someone else?"

"Hmpf! Whatever, let's go."

The girl started power walking as the redhead simply walked at his normal pace, somehow managing to walk at the same speed as her.

They went up the stairs and eventually reached a classroom with the letters 3-A on top of the door.

"There you go, I'm leaving bye."

Without even being able to say thanks the long-haired girl powerwalked away.

And yet again, he sighed.

He opened the door to the 3-A Class and looked inside, and as soon as he did so the people around seemed to regard him with caution.

"Hey, who's that..?"

"I've never seen him before..."

"You think he's here to harass someone?"

"The President and Busujima-san are here so there's no need to worry."

He had been told multiple times by his sisters that he had a resting glare face which led to him getting into trouble just by looking at people, and now, that hidden ability strikes again in the way of making him seem unfriendly.

As he lost himself in his troubles a missile tackled him.

"Riri! You actually came!"

Akira wrapped her arms around his stomach as she moved her face in it like a cat, she looked quite cute doing it but he knew it was just acting, for now, he would go along with whatever she's thinking about.

"Of course I did, you'd get mad if I didn't."

"I would, you know me so well! Hehe~!"

She raised her head to reply with a bright smile and then went back to hugging his torso.

The man gave a tired smile as a thought passed his head.

'You told me yourself though...'

He then separated her from his torso and pushed her a few centimetres away so they could talk but before they could commotion was created.

"No way!"

"Aki-hime is taken..?"

"My dreams, crushed..."

"Maybe he's blackmailing her?!"

"Stockholm syndrome..?"

"She's going to be tainted..."

Uuuugh.

He really wanted to crush them...

The redhead took a deep breath and tried his best to ignore the comments that were being thrown out.

"Riri, come, let me show you around the classroom!"

The teen simply let himself be grabbed by the hand from his sister as he dragged him around the class.

"This is where I sit, and in front of me is Busujima-san!"

He looked towards the girl in front of him and he felt something crack in him.

She was beautiful, not the same way his mother was beautiful but in a more young yet mature sense.

But that's not what made something inside him crack, but the sound, her sound, she was wrong.

The programing send the signal to the gears but the gears refused to accept the signal for some reason and by refusing the gears ended up making a horrible sound that made him feel like he was about to pass out.

[Ω-Akira-Ω]

Today had been a pretty great day for Akira Kobayakawa.

It hadn't been long since her little brother was expulsed from his previous high school, apparently, someone had yet again instigated a fight against him and he had defended himself and now he was going to be attending to her school, she had to pull some strings but in the end, it all had worked out.

Although, she remembered the fact that defending is rarely something he did when he fought.

The whole situation made her remember when she had gone out the other day to buy clothes with him, some scum had tried to hit on her, she had been using her acting so they would go away quickly but that only made them get more excited about making her go with them, one of them grabbed her by the arm and started pulling her along to where another group of shady looking men were, all of them were taller and bigger than her, she was honestly really scared although she would never show it in her face or say it to anyone.

And then, it happened, her little brother, he had come and asked what was happening and the moment the scum told him to "piss off." that was when the dam broke, the normal tired and annoyed expression in her cute little brother changed to something similar to the expression of a lion baring its fangs, it almost scared even her but she knew her brother would never hurt her so that worry had quickly went out the window.

Her little brother then had thrown himself unto one of the men and smashed his head into the pavement while grabbing his face with his big hands, and just like an animal that had been provoked he started to one by one trash and break every single one of the scum that had bothered her, like her very own little pet berserker.

She hadn't realized it but the expression on her face as he beat all of the trash was one of complete joy as if she herself was the one beating them to death.

The man pulling her arm was now scared shitless as he saw the giant of a man completely destroy his friends without a worry for whether or not they were gonna be left alive after he beat them.

As he let go of her arm and turned to run away, she accidentally tripped him, the scum fell to the ground and looked back at her with anger, she simply smiled a twisted smile as she saw the fear seeping into the man that had made her feel undesirable emotions, behind her she could hear the rough breathing of her little brother, adding fuel to the fire, she started to have a bit of fun of her own.

Striking a pose with a hand in her hip and the other pointed at the man she shouted.

"Uriel! Rip and tear!"

A big predatory smile could be seen in her little brother's face as he looked towards the man who was close to faint while licking his lips.

"▂▂▃▃▄▄▅▅!"

A guttural scream of rage came out from her brother startling even her.

When she looked towards the punk who had dared to touch her he had already passed out and was now resting in a pool of his own piss and tears.

She couldn't help it, she started laughing while grabbing her stomach as hard as she could, she had heard about her brother getting into fights because of his eyes but now she truly understood why they had expulsed him, it was a surprise he didn't have a criminal record if this is how he fights.

As she finished laughing her brother stood in front of her for a while and then slowly put his arms around her body.

He pulled her closer to his chest and before she could say anything, he spoke.

"I'm sorry, it must've been scary..."

That's when her brain realized what would have happened if her brother hadn't come at that moment, she would have been taken to God knows where and they would have done things to her she'd rather not imagine.

Subconsciously, she tightened the hug and gripped at her brother's clothes like a lifeline as she spoke.

"You should have come earlier, you big fucking useless idiot..."

"Yes yes..."

He slowly put his hand on the back of her head and patted her like a little kid, the whole scene was embarrassing and humiliating to even remember.

Afterwards, they both went home, her brother as an apology decided to make her a cheesecake, one of her favourite desserts.

The door to the classroom was opened with a bit more force than what it usually was and a mop of red hair appeared and started to look around.

Subconsciously, a small genuine smile found itself on her face, she saw him look around like a lost puppy, well, to him the most appropriate word would probably be a hound rather than a puppy, as he looked around for her.

As soon as he entered the class people had already started to badmouth him, fucking scum, they were on her shitlist now, retribution would follow eventually...

She sneakily stood up and ran at him at full force with the intent to tackle him to the ground, contrary to her expectations as soon as she hit his body she stopped, a fast-moving object meets an immovable object.

He looked down at her and a small smile formed in his face, she couldn't help the blood rushing to her face as he smiled at her so she hid her face in his stomach.

Yet again people started badmouthing him, those fucking pieces of shit, they should know their place instead of disrespecting their betters.

She took his hand and started showing him around the classroom, the reason for this? Obviously so people would get the wrong idea and think he's her boyfriend, maybe that way they'll finally get it into their shit-filled skulls that she wasn't interested in any of these inferior animals.

As she showed him her seat she realized Busujima Saeko was, for some reason, staring directly into her brother's eyes.

That's no good Saeko-chan... If you touch my belongings you could suddenly die...

Her brother was suddenly very still when a glazed look appeared in his eyes, suddenly, he fell to one knee grasping his eyes.

"Uriel! What's wrong?!"

Her heart jumped to her chest and started pounding immensely, she had no idea what was going on.

He stood up trying to walk away but tumbled and fell over with the empty chairs, the other students seeing this made way for the tall redhead not bothering to go even near him.

"TURN IT OFF!"

As he shouted he covered his ears and with his face fully stuck to the ground, almost as if he was performing some kind of weird dogeza.

"Uriel!"

She quickly moved between the seats to where he was, her heart on her throat never before seeing her strong brother in such distress.

"THE GEARS, THE MACHINES! TURN THEM OFF!"

Yet again he shouted as he covered his ears with his palms, blood slowly started to drip from his nose unto the floor.

Weaving through the chairs as she was about to reach her little brother one of the animals grabbed her by the arm, she recognized him, Captain of the Tennis club, good grades, objectively handsome, good family and had confessed to her a week prior.

"Akira-san, it's better to not get close, who knows what he might do-"

Fully dropping her fake personality she spoke directly what was on her mind instead of filtering it through the carefully crafted persona.

"Touch me again and I'll cut your fucking throat and pull your tongue from the wound, you fucking disgusting animal!"

As she finished talking the boy was taken aback greatly and fear appeared on his eyes along with something else, betrayal, the image of the sweet, cute and adorable girl in his mind had been completely crushed.

She pulled her arm from the animal with great force and went to help her brother, she kneeled next to him and tried to reason.

"Uriel?! What's wrong?! Talk to me!"

Suddenly and out of nowhere, her brother fainted, for a second she thought he had died and her heart almost exploded but she grabbed his neck and felt the veins still pumping blood.

As she was busy taking care of her brother a woman kneeled next to her.

"Let's take him to the infirmary."

Saeko Busujima, she couldn't find out the reason why she was helping her but she decided to just nod.

There was no time for petty things right now.

System Reboot Completed!
You've slept on a bed! Current Health: [100%]

What the fuck..?

Those were the only thoughts on the brain of the redhead as he woke up and saw what was in front of him.

Just as he finished reading the message in the floating screen it disappeared as if it was never there.

Really what the fuck was that..?

He sat up on the bed he had been resting and realized he was probably in the infirmary.

As he was about to stand up yet another screen appeared in front of him.

Quest «One small step for a man, one giant leap for entertainment!» has been started!

"What..?"

He tapped the screen and it expanded into a bigger screen.

He suddenly remembered his last moments in his previous life, what the shitty god had said, powers.

'So this is what he decided on, RPG-Esque powers...'

He wouldn't complain, well, at least not yet.

Mentally tapping the X in the corner of the screen, it closed, on the right bottom part his view a counter with the numbers 4:20:14:32 appeared.

From somewhere information was slowly being fed into his brain, wanting to know more he opened his status screen.

Name: Uriel León
Titles:
N/a
Race:
Evolved Human
Tier: 10-C
Rank: EX

Level: 0/100

Speed: 5 meters per second, how embarrassing...
Lifting Strength: Can barely lift own body, sigh...
Striking Strength: You'd hurt yourself more than the target punching.
Magic Potency: Literally none, how sad...
Magic Efficiency: Technically very efficient, because you have none.
Durability: Decently durable, can take a few hits, maybe you're a secret masochist?

Are you fucking with me..?

He did feel weak, like, monumentally weaker than he felt a few hours ago.

He wanted to get mad but all he managed was a tired sigh, he couldn't possibly know about this or control it in some way so it was a waste of time to get mad over it.

He looked at the description for each of his stats and felt annoyed, the probabilities of the shitty God being the one writing them was very high.

Closing his status page and muttering the word menu a list of multiple options appeared.

Mentally tapping the Skills & Perks button, another screen opened.

To his surprise, there was only one perk, but the perk he saw, it was extremely broken.

Intuitive Aptitude of the God of Instinct
Rank: EX

Every person is made of two lives, and those two lives of four, and so on until you reach the first couple, and like that the ashes of experience coming from the ancestors remain in the blood of the new generations, living through them in the shape of their instincts.

This ability is innate and cannot be turned off.
The user can instantly learn and understand the workings and mechanics of anything, regardless of how simple or complex.
They can comprehend the complexity and exactness of events, organisms, objects, subjects, fields, powers, etc. without the need of long-term or special education, or explanation.
Creates a "Hunger for Knowledge" from the deep desire to leave your instincts and experience to your descendants.
Instincts are immensely increased and actions based on instincts may be taken in reaction to specific situations.
The user has a small chance to gain a Skill or Perk from an Ancestor in specific situations that may trigger instincts.

When he finished reading it he simply couldn't believe what he read, it felt like he had gotten the mayor price on a lottery.

Then he read carefully and realized it was as much of a blessing as it was a curse.

'Hunger for Knowledge'

Was that what he was feeling right now?

In the back of his head, a tingly feeling made itself know, it wanted power, it wanted to know everything and have anything.

It was barely noticeable but he recognized it, he will have to find a way in how to deal with it.

As he read the Perk over and over he heard a sound, that wrong sound, the sound that bothered him to his very core.

TUCK TUCK TRRARRRARAA TUCK TUCK TRARRRARRRA

That's when he felt it for real, the Hunger.

It didn't want to eat the person that the sound came from, but rather, fix them.

Yes, he could agree to that.

He was gonna fix that sound.

Author's Half-assed Note:

Lately, I've been re-reading H.O.T.D and I've found it pretty entertaining, so, I've decided to write a bit about it, also tried writing my first "bad" ish character which is probably why some actions or phrases might look kinda odd or weird, gonna try to stir the character in a Chaotic Neutral-Evil kind of alignment, been trying to watch Heroes too which made me write a character with only one skill which is pretty similar to the one Gabriel had in the show and that skill combined with his own pseudophilosophy and the blessing of the "God" resulted in a mix of both the original and the blessing.

Pretty long for a prologue huh?

I'm gonna leave you with an idea I've been toying with after reading Bug Player, a webtoon I found by chance looking at the newest tab of a definitely legal reading site, every person individually has their own strengths and weaknesses as well as their own traits, so, since this is an RPG why not make them into a part of the system as well, and that's what General/Special Inclinations are, think of personal skills from servants in Fate/ or something similar.

Anyways, thanks for reading, leave your opinion and stuff in a review or send me a PM.

Have a good day/afternoon/night.
