When Bella woke up she was in her bedroom in Phoenix Arizona. She was surprised it was really the day before she left for Forks to be with her dad. She was more than happy to be getting a second chance to do things over. She was even happier that her mother was coming back home with her.
Bella went around the house packing up everything that couldn't be replaced into her grandmother's hope chest. Photo albums, knick knacks she and her mother collected over the years, pictures, and other priceless things.
"Bella, hunny! Are you packed?" she heard her mother call from the kitchen.
"Yeah mom," she stated as she entered the kitchen smiling when she saw her grandmother's china wrapped in bubble wrap and old newspapers.
"Would you like some help?" Bella asked when she noticed her mother was struggling with the boxes.
Her mother hated boxes since she always seemed to get papercuts from them. Bella and Charlie always found it funny but endearing.
"No. I got it," Renee said laughing when she saw her daughter was about to bust out laughing. She knew she was a bit of an airhead but she liked being different from other people and she knew Bella and Charlie loved her for who she is. They even found her quirks funny and lovible.
It took a few more hours before they had the house packed up aside from the furniture. They decided to sell the furniture along with the house due to them redecorating Charlie's house. Both Bella and Renee were in an agreement that Charlie's house needed an upgrade. Charlie didn't really care but his girls did so they were more than welcome to change anything they wanted.
But the one thing that Renee and Bella didn't know was Jasper, Emmett, and Rosalie were helping set up Bella's space. Her bedroom and library study. They knew Bella would need her own space when things got hard.
The next morning the house was sold sight unseen so it was a good thing Bella and Renee kept the house in good condition over the years. The house was sold for well over the asking price so they had the money needed for repairs and redecorating when they got back home where they belonged.
Bella was going to be sad when she left for college because she knew she wasn't going to see her parents very much after graduating college. She knew the Volturi wasn't going to let her travel in her early years of being a vampire because she knew she could slaughter hundreds if she lost control of her bloodlust or temper.
"Bella, are you ready to go?" Renee asked the next morning just as she finished packing her carry-on bag.
"Yes. Let's go home," Bella said smiling as she put on her boots. She was so happy she lost the clumsy trait due to traveling back for a second chance.
She was wearing brown leather skinny jeans, tan long-sleeved shirt, and tan leather ankle boots. She had a brown and blue scarf, and blue hat and gloves. She knew it was going to be cold in Forks and she didn't want to freeze. She loved her dad but she really hoped she didn't have to drive that beat up old chevy again. It must be from being a vampire and having the best of everything for a hundred years but she didn't want to drive an old truck again.
"I can't wait to be back home but I'm not looking forward to going to school again," Bella muttered as she sat in her seat waiting for takeoff.
