Ukai looked down at his watched and sighed heavily. He wasn't sure how he had gotten himself involved in this current mess. Well that wasn't completely true. He knew exactly how this situation came about. A favor meant for his grandfather, but got passed on to him. In his old age, he wouldn't have been able to handle it.

But Ukai was still trying to figure out how he got stuck taking his grandfather's place. Yet still, here he was, checking the time and hoping the girl had made it to school. He would know in a few minutes if the phone rang. He looked down at his watch again and prayed that the phone wouldn't ring. Lucky for him. The phone call didn't come.

Later at practice, Ukai found himself looking down at his watch again. The little problem was supposed to have made an appearance at practice. But it was late. Per usual. He should have known better than to expect punctuation. He grabbed his phone, and was about to call his little problem when the door to the gym slid open with a force, he didn't even know was capable.

The volleyball boys all froze in mid action to turn and look at the door, and what had caused the disruption of their practice. Leaning up against the door with arms crossed and a slight smirk on their face, was a young girl. She didn't look to be much taller than Hinata. She wore the school uniform so she had to have been a student. Her hair was dyed a bright red , fading into a neon orange. Her make up was done dark. With black eyeshadow with a hint of orange. The colors causing her dark gray eyes to pop. Her cheeks were sprinkled in dark freckles that also scattered across her small button nose. And her full pouty lips had been covered in a dark red lip stain. Even though she had been wearing the school uniform, she had given it her own touch with accessories. A black laced choker around her dainty neck and large chunky black and orange bracelets on both wrists.

"Fei? What are you doing here?" Hinata asked as he abandoned his practice and rushed over to the girl. She looked up at him and rolled her eyes. Yep that's right. Looked up at Hinata. She was probably even shorter than Nishinoya if she had to look up at the red head.

"Remember how I mentioned having to meet up with my pain in the ass guardian." The girl said and the boys in the room seemed to shiver at the sound of her voice. With the girl being so small they had expected the girl to have a girly, high pitched voice. But instead it was a bit deeper and strong. Confidence coming through with every word she spoke. This girl was dangerous, and their little Hinata had already met her.

Fei kicked off the door and stood confidently in the entrance, shoulders back, back straight and a blank emotionless expression on her face. Her eyes flicked up to Ukai and the slightest smirk graced her lips. "I'm a bit hurt Ukai. Not warning these lovely boys about me."

Ukai groaned as his team all turned towards him in complete shock. He hadn't planned on mentioning the girl until she had shown her face at practice. He had only been their coach for a little less than a week. The last thing he wanted was for them to get distracted by the small teenage girl. She may have been small, but her presence was large. Almost as if she demanded to be seen. That she wanted every one to know exactly where she was.

"I wasn't sure if you would even show up. I am actually surprised that you did." Ukai growled and Fei rolled her eyes. She knew exactly what he was talking about. It was an argument they had had that very morning. Ukai demanding she come straight to the gym after school, to keep her out of the trouble she was prone too getting into. Fei demanding the man was a simple temporary guardian and not her parent. "Glad you could grave us with your presence."

Fei rolled her eyes and walked up to the coach. Ukai towered over her, but that didn't seem to stop the girl from standing up to him as if they were equal height. "I didn't come because you were right. I came because the longer I behave, the quicker I get to leave this hell hole."

Ukai glared down at the girl. "Go sit out of the way and get to work on your homework."

Fei raised an eyebrow at him then nodded her head towards the group of boys who were watching them in curious silence.

Ukai mentally face palmed as he turned to his team. "Guys, this is Fei Yuki. She is a first year. And was sent to my grandfather to look after for a while, but some how ended up in my care. Just ignore her. Its probably better for all of you."

Fei let out a giggle that quickly turned into full blown laughter as she held her sides. Every one seemed to take a step back from her as if she had cracked, and she was going to attack them all. "You make me sound like some kind of hooligan."

"More like a horrible influence." Ukai said as he unconsciously glanced over to his wide eyed red headed player. His team seemed to think the same as their eyes all landed on the small boy. He didn't seem to notice as he smiled brightly at Fei. Causing Kageyama to grab the boys collar and pulled him to his side.

Fei shrugged as if she couldn't deny it. She then turned to the rest of the team and raised an eyebrow. "What's up with this vibe? Like I'm a threat and you all are about to pounce?"

She then eyed the members till her eyes landed on Hinata and she smirked. "Awe, I get it."

She then walked up to Hinata, the team seemed to tense with every step she took. She threw her arms around Hinata's shoulders and pulled him close to her. She swore she heard a slight growl come from the taller boy who had been standing next to the red head. She glanced up at him and gave him a playful wink and smiled at wide eyes of shock that he got from her.

"This little man and I are in the same class." Fei said playfully roughing up his hair. Hinata blushed as he tried to lightly push the girl away. But she just tightened her hold on him. "I should actually be a second year, but I went to school in America, and they didn't keep the same high standards of education where I went to school, like they do here. So I got put in Hinata's class. I am a bit behind."

Fei let go of Hinata and smiled over at the boys. "Got into a lot of trouble back at my old school. So they shipped me over to an old friend of my grandfather. And some how I ended up with the big grumbly puppy as my guardian. But I'm not all that bad. Just mischievous."

"You convinced a group of boys to build a car in the office." Ukai growled. "Once they started it, students started to get sick and pass out from the fumes."

Fei rolled her eyes and pouted a bit. She look away and sighed. "I didn't know they were going to make it functional. Or the dumbasses were going to turn the damn thing on during class. If I knew that I wouldn't have suggested the prank."

Ukai raised an eyebrow at her. "You caused a lot of students to go to the hospital that day."

Fei turned on him. Her eyes flairing up in anger. "And that is exactly why I went to the office to shut the damn thing down. I couldn't so I started to try and break it. But I passed out before I could. And that's how I got caught and charged."

Fei's eyes met her guardian's and she let him know that she regretted it. "Pranks are meant to be fun, and you should be able to laugh about it later after the chaos is over. A prank that hurts people isn't a prank. Its cruelty and a form of bullying. I don't put up with that shit. But if I caused it, I'm going to buck up and take responsibility. So I'm here."

She then turned to look at the stunned volleyball boys. A bright smile crossed her face as she took every member in. The smile set the boys at ease. And they all seemed to let out a breath they didn't know they had been holding. "You all look like a fun and lively bunch. I'm looking forward to the mischief we can get into."

Her eyes instantly landed on Nishinoya. She walked up to him and smirked. He was indeed a bit taller than her. "Especially you. You got a fire in your eyes. Pretty sure you and Hinata just became my two favorite little men."

"Hey! Both Hinata and I are taller than you!" Nishinoya demanded and the girl giggled.

"That's true, but the truth is that you are both still short." Fei said as the boy growled at her. She ignored it and smiled brightly again. "But your energy is bigger than all of them. That's what counts."

Fei squared her shoulders again and stood tall as if trying to show him that even if she was shorter than him, she was still a bigger force. The boy's eyes widened and she winked at his realization. She then walked over to her bag and sat in a corner. She knew they were all still watching her, but she got her homework out and started to work on it. She had to get caught up so she wouldn't be left behind. And when she got back home, she would be able to be ahead of her class.

Soon all eyes landed on Hinata and he jumped at the sudden realization that he had become the center of attention. He blushed and quickly looked down at the floor.

"She sits behind me in class." Hinata explained simply.

"And you being you, befriended her right away." Daichi said with smirk. But Hinata shook his head.

"She was a bit scary when she first walked in. And if any one approach her, she'd glance up and they'd stop in their tracks. It wasn't till after lunch when she introduced herself to me. She noticed I was having trouble understanding the teacher and explained it. Then she was more talkative than I was. I had trouble keeping up with our conversation. I'm still not sure if I caught everything she said."

The group of guys once again found themselves watching the girl in complete awe.

As the week went on Fei started to weasel her way into the hearts of most of the volleyball boys. She had quickly become close with Hinata and Nishinoya. They really didn't have a choice in the matter. Fei wasn't going to allow them to get away with not becoming her friend. Soon Tanaka was added to their group of three. Causing chaos for the rest of the team. The prank wars had begun. Fei choosing one of the three boys to become her partner in crime as they pulled their prank on the other two who had not been chosen.

A couple days after the first meeting Nishinoya and Fei came rushing into the gym. There weren't to many players there yet, but the ones who where watched the two in a bit of shock. They were usually running running from some one if they were together, but this time was different. They both had a slight look of panic on their faces as they both pushed the gym door closed and slid down it. A few seconds later the door slid open and the two quickly scurried away as a soaked Kageyama and a panicked Hinata stood in the doorway.

Hinata quickly grabbed onto Kageyama arm and tried his hardest to keep him from going after his two friends.

"Geesh, it was just a little water!" Fei yelped as she ran up behind Suga and some how climbed up his back as Nishinoya hid behind him.

"Does this really look a like a little water to you!" Kageyama growled as he stood in front of Suga and attempted to grab at Fei. The girl seemed to tighten her grip around Suga. And Suga wasn't sure what he was supposed to do in the situation. So he just burst out into laughter, causing every one in the gym to freeze and look at him curiously.

Suga patted Fei's leg and she climbed off his back. "What has our little devil gotten herself into today?"

Fei shrugged. "I was going after Red. But I couldn't help turning it on grumpy butt over there. Dude seriously needs to lighten up a hit. So serious. He's going to have premature wrinkles in his twenties if he keeps this up."

Nishinoya and Hinata burst into laughter as Kageyama growled and reached for the girl again. Fei smiled and grabbed his hand. Interlocking their fingers. Kageyama's face quickly turned a deep red as he tried to pull his hand away, but the girl kept hold and ended up being tugged closer to him.

"Lighten up Grumpy. You make yourself an easy target." Fei said with a sweet smile. "I'll break you in eventually. Or you can lighten up on your own and save me the time."

She let go of his hand and skipped away humming some random song. Suga hid a smirk behind his hand as he saw the look of complete horror on Kageyama's face.

"She's great isn't she." Nishinoya said with a wicked smirk. "She's like a second Hinata, except cunning. She told me yesterday that she planned on breaking Kageyama and Tsuki down."

Suga looked over at the girl who had already found a spot to sit and study that's when he knew that this was not going to be a full year.

The volleyball boys looked over at their little devil. She was giggling loudly in the middle of the group. The boys all tensed as they watched Kageyama go from a normal color to a dark red and his eyes slit in anger. Their threatening stare boring down on Fei. Hinata looked nervously between Fei and Kageyama, unsure of what was going to happen next. But he did know that Fei was asking for trouble as she picked on Kageyama once again.

Fei giggled loudly, unaware of the unease around her and playfully punched Kageyama in the stomach. "Stop acting all high and mighty. You make yourself an easy target for me."

Kageyama looked down at the girl in shock as she smiled sweetly up at him with a playful glint in her eyes. Her smile widened when she saw the shocked reaction then turned to Suga and gave him a wink. "See, told you. I'll break these boys in eventually. Next target. Four eyes."

"Good luck." Tsuki said with a roll of his eyes. Fei rubbed her hands together welcoming the challenge.

"See if you would just use those smart ass remarks playfully, you would be pretty fun you know." Fei said with her bright smile. Tsuki just clicked his tongue at her. Fei let out a evil sounding giggle. "Progress."

Suga couldn't help but snicker into his hands. She sure was keeping to her guns with slowly breaking down Kageyama and Tsuki.

Now they had just gotten to the gym for their second practice game, Fei was working her magic at easing the nerves and tension of the team. Suga wasn't even sure how she had wiggled permission out of Ukai in allowing her to come. But he had a feeling the girl had made a light hearted threat of causing trouble if she was left alone.

Ukai didn't seem happy about having the girl around. He knew everything the girl had done, and why she was sent back to Japan. He must have had a good reason to be weary of the girl and her influence on his team. But he couldn't deny how good she seemed for them as well.

"Will you knock it off already." Ukai growled down at the girl. She smiled back up at him and stuck her tongue out at him in playful defiance. Ukai crossed his arms and glared down at her. "Keep it up and you will spend the time on the bus. Alone. The only thing you will have to do is the homework you have been avoiding all day."

Fei rolled her eyes. "Fine. I get it. I'll play nice."

"I see you brought a groupie with you." The captain of the other team, Kuroo said as he smirked down at Fei. Tanaka and Nishinoya smirked. Hinata was going to step in, but Tanaka quickly put a hand on his shoulder and looked down at the smaller player as if telling him to stand back and watch the show.

Fei looked up at him, all bright eyed and mouth slightly open as if she was caught by surprise by the sudden interest the other team seemed to have with her now. But then let out a puff of air and giggled. She straightened her shoulders, and stood up straight. Hands firmly placed on her hips and eyes narrowing at the taller Captain. Her small 4'9 frame seemed to grow to match the taller player as she gave him one of her signature smirks.

"To be a groupie, you'd have to be a fan of the game. Which I clearly am not." She said then shrugged her shoulders as if brushing off the boy's words. "I'm just here because Ukai was scared I would cause trouble if I was left unsupervised. I mean smart move on his part. But also very stupid."

The boy smirked back at her. Clearly entertained by this conversation. "Oh yeah, and why is that?"

Fei gave him a heart melting smile as she placed her arms behind her back and intertwined her fingers. Making her look very small in innocent. But her eyes never changed. Kuroo instantly felt his heart skip a beat. But not in a good way. It instantly warned him that this girl was dangerous. She took a few steps towards him. Her friends doing the same, worried that they would have to jump in to rescue their little devil. She reached up and light caressed Kuroo's cheek. With the height difference, the girl was was flush against him to be able to reach his cheek.

"Now I have more toys to play with." Fei whispered up at him. Kuroo felt his heart skip a beat again as his cheeks betrayed him and started to turn a bright red. She then let out a string of giggles and walked back to her friends who just gave him a knowing smirk. She put her arm around Nishinoya and he chuckled along with her. Knowing exactly how flirtatious the girl could be.

"Damn." Kuroo said as he laughed as well when he realized what the girl had just done. "You guys have yourself a pretty good secret weapon there."

The group looked over at him in surprise and confusion. All except the girl. She just smirked knowingly at him. That's when it truly hit him. The team didn't even know what the girl had done. How unnerved he had become just by the girls one small simple gesture. They obviously knew she was cunning and mischievous by the knowing smiled they had given him. But they didn't realize the true nature of the girls actions. Well except for their little Libro who looked very proud to have the girl clinging to him. He hadn't even played the team yet. But he quickly realized they were dangerous.

As the warm ups started, Ukai sent the girl to the stands by simply towering over her and pointing in the direction she should go. The girl rolled her eyes at him and crossed her arms in clear defiance.

"We need to get warned up. You are distracting Hinata and Nishinoya!" Ukai demanded. Fei blinked up at him as if she didn't quite understand. Daichi rolled his eyes and came to stand next to his coach.

Fei sighed heavily. "Fine… but only because Daichi asked."

"He didn't even say anything!" Ukai demanded and Fei giggled.

"He didn't have too. It was in his eyes if I didn't listen to Daddy Daichi, I'd have to deal with Daddy Suga." Fei said with a shudder. "And his punishments are way worse. He took my book hostage and I actually had to watch practice! I was so bored!"

Fei quickly grabbed her book bag as she waved goodbye to her friends. She rushed up to Kageyama and with a bit of help from Nishinoya, jumped and smacked him hard in the back of the head. Suga quickly grabbed onto Kageyama's arm and scolded her before a fight broke out.

"Why does she always listen to you and Suga but not the one who is her actual guardian?" Ukai growled and Daichi smiled knowingly at his coach.

"The thing with Fei, is she sees us as family." Daichi replied. "She teasingly calls Duga and I Daddy, but it's not fully a joke. She sees us as her father figures. Nishinoya, Hinata and Tanaka maybe the closest friends she has right now, but she sees Kageyama and Tsuki as her brothers. That is why she relentlessly teases them. Give it time. She will eventually start listening."

Ukai glanced up at Fei, as she made herself comfortable in the stands. She had already put her headphones on and was now working on the homework she had been putting off. Ukai had never thought about it before, but he wasn't even sure what the girl's home life was like. It was one thing the girl refused to talk about. At first, he thought maybe it was because she was homesick, but now he was wondering if there was more too it.

As the game went on one of Kuroo's serves was received by Nishinoya, but it ricocheted backwards and towards the stands.

"Fei!" Her friends called out to her as the ball came at her in full speed. Fei surprised them all as she glanced up and moved her head to the side as the ball narrowly missed her. Fei rolled her eyes and placed her book down as she went to retrieve the ball. She tossed it in the air and sent it back. Every one on the court watched the ball in complete shock as it flew past Kuroo at a very high speed. It hit the ground and bounced up into the stands behind him. Kuroo looked up at the girl and smirked.

"For not being a fan, you sure do have some power behind you." Kuroo called up to her. Fei rolled her eyes.

"You disturb my book." Fei growled back. "Call it a frustrated payback."

Fei went back to her book and Kuroo snickered. He playfully bumped Kenma. "It's a female version of you, except with books."

Kenma looked up at his best friend with his usual bored look. "Except she did what I wish I could do. Frustrated payback. I'm going to need to remember that one."

"Try it."

"I prefer to live." Kenma replied. He looked up at the girl then back down at Hinata, who was excitedly calling up to Fei an old praising her for her power. "She says she doesn't like the sport and pretends to not watch, but she hasn't taken her attention away from the court yet. There is no other way she could have avoided that ball. She had already seen it coming. And with that hit. She has clearly played volleyball before. That was powerful and controlled. She had aimed that ball at you."

Kuroo smirked again. "Interesting."
