Life is a fickle thing. Many wished for protection and order, others want freedom and chaos. Few found love, and many gain hate. Many have lost something dear to them, and yet, they gain something new in its place. One truly never knew what the future will hold, no man nor god have full control of their own fate.

"Wahhh!" Hibiki shout as she fall to the ground after failing dodging an barrage attack form the alien monsters known as the Noise. The young Symphogear user barely had time to recover as a tentacle grab her by the leg and throw her into the air before she crashing down.

She quickly gets back on her feet, noticing the Noise that throws her is heading her way. The young girl pulled the piston of her gauntlet and punched it in the guts before destroying the last of the Noises.

"Whew, that was a close one." The girl sighed, relieved that the battle is over.

"Good work, Hibiki-kun." Genjuro, commander of sector two contact through Hibiki headsets. "Tsubasa and Chris-kun are also finished with the remaining Noises in the other sectors with zero casualties. Come back to the base, you girls earn your rest."

"Roger that." Hibiki said, ending the communication feeling happy that no one was killed by the aliens. She turn around seeing her reflection of a shop. she's garbed in a black and mostly orange bodysuit. Her forearms were white with the fingers black as white gauntlets covered her arms with braces covering her knuckles. Her legs were donned in armed boots that were white, black, and orange. Around her waist was an orange and black skirt with white armor covering her sides all the way up to her breasts. Over her ears were what appeared to be headphones connected to two headpieces as a white scarf sprouted from behind her neck.

"Can't believe it been a month." She mumbled your herself, closing her eyes remembering the confrontation between her and Finé and remembering the ancient woman's last words before turning into dust.

"Believe in the song of your heart."

Hibiki open her eyes, when she suddenly, heard a small mews from behind her. Hibiki turn around and saw a small, feline like animal is staring at her. its muzzle is very cat-like, with a small,blue-gray nose, triangular nose. It has a dark cream fur-colored ruff on its neck that travels to the belly as well as inside its pointed ears, it has pale blue eyes and the top half of its face has strange gray markings that reached to its jaw. It has red fur. Around each leg there is a black spot on each foot. It has three black toes on each foot with long white claws and has a tail with a creamy bushy tip.

""Hey there, little guy." Hibiki pick up the cat, looking at the strange looking feline. "You're a funny looking kitty. Did you get lost during the attack?"

The kitty jumped off from Hibiki, walking toward an alley, turning its head, meowing to her.

"You want me to follow you?" Hibiki asked, earning a cheerful meow from the mammal as she quickly followed it into the alleyway. But once entered, she noticed a thick mist appeared out of nowhere. "Huh? Where did this mist come from? I'm pretty sure it will be sunny all day." She turn around, walking backwards hoping if she can see the way back.

But then she bumped into something, startled Hibiki quickly turn around standing in a fighting position only to see that it was a wall. "Oh, it's just a wall." The mist slowly lifted, revealing that the wall is a large statue of a human wearing strange armor, kneeling down with one knee.

"W-what on earth?!" Hibiki startled, seeing three other statue next to the first one and a stairway leading to what looks like a temple. "Where is this place? Am I even in Japan?!"

"Hey! Keep your voice down, you'll draw the Inanis' attention." A young boy voice scolded the girl.

"Who's there?!" Hibiki asked, looking for the owner of the voice. She noticed the cat from before, standing on the first steps of the stairs staring at her with a surprised look on its face.

"D-did you just understand what i say?" The cat asked. Speaking in Hibiki native tongue.

"D-did you just talked?" Hibiki asked, her eyes wieden, seeing the cat talking.

The two stared at each other in silents until both of them shouted. "Holy crap, you CAN understand me!/The kitty CAN talk!"

"I'm not a kitty, damn it!" The cat retort, which Hibiki yelped in remark.

But suddenly the two heard a loud and terrifying moan, as the girl feels a sense of fear and threat from that sound. "W-what was that sound?"

"Crap! Me and my big mouth!" The cat cursed, quickly climbing the stairs before turning around to Hibiki. "Quick! To the temple, fighting against an Inanis is too dangerous for us now!"

Without a second thought, Hibiki followed the cat to the temple, opening it's large doors and quickly close it.

The two stay quite, hearing the sound footsteps stomping towards the temple followed by a disturbing groaning and panting. Tensions rise when Hibiki heard sniffing sounds from behind the door until they hear the being walking away.

"Ugh, that was so scary." Hibiki let out a deep sigh, leaning against the door. "What on earth was that? A Noise?"

"Nope, that was a Inanis. And judging from the sounds, it must be an Screamer. Those nasty freaks can sap your willpower with their ear piercing screams. Lucky, the temple is protected so the Inanis can't find is or enter this place." The cat explained.

"But what is an Inanis? What is this place?" Hibiki asked.

"An Inanis is a being of negative emotion from every living being manifest in physical forms. The Screamer that was sniffing at the door represents the emotion of fear." The cat answered, lowering his head. "As for the temple…. that's a bit tricky."

"What do you mean?" Hibiki asked, tilt her head.

"It's a bit of a cliché, but i don't remember much after i woke up last week ago. The only thing that i know is my name, knowledge about the Inanis, and that I have a master that needs to be saved." He explain.

"You master?" Hibiki said, looking around the room they are in. "Is your friend here too?"

"Yea, he's just through that door at the end of the entrance hall in front of you. But i can understand if you feel ske-" But before the feline could finish his sentence, Hibiki quickly went to where the master is. "Wha- wait!" The cat quickly caught up to the young girl, stopping her in her tracks. "Wowowowow, where do you think you're going?!"

"To save you friend." She reply in honesty.

"Just like that?! Without a hit of suspicion?!" The cat asked, dropping his jaws. "I just told the most cliché thing in the book of misleading people that everyone would make everyone second guess! How can you curtain that I'm not fooling you to do something bad?"

"I'm sure that what you're doing is to help you friend, right? And if he can talk like you, i'm sure we can talk it out without fighting." Hibiki told.

"Wha, you." The cat was at a loss for words of Hibiki's behavior. He let out a sigh and told the girl. "Fine, but don't expect something good will happen after this."

"By the way, why did you ask me to help you? You could have asked Tsubasa-san or Chris-chan." Hibiki asked, kneeling down to the cat.

"You mean the girls in blue and red, right? Yea, i was thinking of asking them until i found you. Considering that those two seem to have more experience and won't leap before they think unlike you." The cat answered, seeing Hibiki sheepishly laugh. "But you have something that they don't have. I don't know if it's the armor you're wearing or a power inside of you that you're not aware of it, but it's something that can break the seal on my master. That's the reason I picked you."

"Something i have?" Hibiki asked in confusion. "I have no idea what you're talking about, but in short, only i can help out right?"

"In a layman's terms, pretty much." The cat answered. Jumping on Hibiki's left shoulder. "Now that I've told the reason why, we should hurry waking him up as soon as possible."

"You got it!" Hibiki stood up and realized something. "Oh right! I forgot to ask your name!"

"Can't blame ya with all that happens." The cat said. "My name is Keegan, it's nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you too, Keegan-kun! I'm Hibiki Tachibana! And I'm almost 16 year old!" She introduced herself, before heading towards the 'master' as Keegan told her directions of his location until they arrived at their destination. Hibiki opened the door, entering a chamber with a large ceiling with beautiful stained glass with the color red, yellow and orange as the main color.

"Wow, it's pretty." Hibiki mumbled, completely in awe by the windows until she saw in the middle of the room a blue crystal like statue in a strange position with his right hand reaching out with an old looking crystal in its chest. "Is that… a statue?"

"It isn't." Keegan jumped off, and walked to the satue's side. "The stake that is impaled in his chest is what keeps my master seal away."

"Wait, impaled?! Stake?!" Hibiki quickly went to the crystal statue, seeing that the figure is a male, wearing a helmet with two downwards horns and a dragon/bird-like beak, albeit filled with razor-sharp teeth design on the face guard, raptor eyes like visor. He wears a tattered cape around the waist of his bodysuit like armor, wore shoulder pads, armoured boots and metal gloves. "How could this happen to him?"

"Wish i could remember." Keegan said with sadness in his voice. "The only thing i know is that someone was responsible for this. But who this someone is…."

Hibiki turns her attention to Keegan, noticing the frustration on his face. "Keegan-kun…" She kneeled down, petting on the feline's head. "It's going to be okay. After saving your friend, me and my friends are going to help you with your memory."

"Let's hope so." Keegan sighed, before turning to the matter at hand. "Hibiki, what you need to do is get rid of that crystal. Once that is gone my master is free."

"You got it!" Hibiki cheered, putting her hand on the stake. "So do i need to pull it out? Won't that hurt your friend?" But before Keegan could explain, a large crack was heard as it appears on the stake.

"What did you do?!" Keegan asked, starting to panic seeing the crystal statue start to crack as well.

"I-i don't know! I just hold it on!" Hibiki said, pulling her hand back, accidentally pulling out the stake as the two stare at the broken piece Hibiki is holding. "Is this supposed to happen?" She asked, while the stake in her hand dissolved into dust.

"I don't know!" Keegan admits.

Suddenly a red/orange light came out of the crystal's cracks. The two panic when the crystal singes with a bright light forcing them to cover their eyes. Once the light started to fade Hibiki and Keegan opened their eyes, seeing that the statue wasn't made of blue/white crystal anymore, but in flesh and blood with the color of the armor being orange while the bodysuit is black and the helmet is white with black horns.

The male fell on his knees, but quickly caught by Hibiki as she gently lay him on the ground. She noticed there wasn't a capping hole on his chest.

Just as she was about to ask Keegan about it, when a loud screech close by.

"Wha- what's that?!" Hibiki asked.

"The screamer! Don't tell me, it found us even with the church's protection." Keegan said, eyes widened when he came to a realization. Turning his attention to his master. "Could it be that the energy burst just now broke the barrier?" The screeches continued, following up with a loud thump from the wall. "Crap! It's trying to get it! We need to get back to the psychical plane!"

"Physical what? You mean going back to the real world?" Hibiki asked, while the screamer continues to slam against the walls.

"Yes! We're in the Inanis's home turf. Meaning they have the advantage, so don't even think fighting them here." Keegan explained, when the walls on the north side of the room started to crack. "Hurry! Carry my master!"

"R-right!" Hibiki quickly carries the unconscious knight on her back and heads towards the exit with Keegan.

The two exited the church, quickly walking down the stairs until Hibiki noticed what she could describe as a tear in reality.

"Good, it's still open! We can get out of here through that tear!" The cat said.

But before Hibiki could rush to the exit, she suddenly fall to her knees when the girl hear a loud screeching sound coming from behind. "Wha- what's happening…" She asked, feeling drained all of the sudden.

"It's the screamer's power!" Keegan panicked, standing behind Hibiki, keeping an eye out for the enemy. "You have to keep going, before it let's out another scream!"

"R-right…" She weakly replies, trying to get up, until Hibiki fell on her knees again by another roar.. "I-i feel so tired…." Hibiki turned her head, noticing a tall slender figure in the mist slowly walking towards her. "W-what…. is that…"

Keegan turn his head with a shocked expression. "This close?! You gotta be kidding me!" The feline leaped the first screamer.

Hibiki watches Keegan sketching on the first screamer's face and move to what it looks like to the neck of the monster. He's about to bite on the monster's neck, but one of the screamer's slender arms caught him, throwing him to the ground.

"Keegan-kun!" Hibiki called out, wanting to save the feline, but was unable to move her body.

"Forget about me, get my master out of here!" Keegan ordered, groan in pain when the screamer slammed onto the feline's belly with it's foot.

"Keegan-kun!" Hibiki forced her body to move. unknowingly to her, the master's arm slowly raised to the screamer and to the girl's surprise, a prism colored field appeared around her. "Wh-what?" Hibiki's eye weiden, seeing that the field began to expand.

The field is able to push Inanis away while Keegan is unarmed as the field passes him through. The cat looked up, and saw the screamer attacking the force field. "That's the master's power!" He turns his head seeing Hibiki and his unconscious master are covered in a prism colored aura.

"What is this?" Hibiki wondered, feeling her spirit slowly coming back to her.

"Tachibana! Where are you?" A familiar voice calling out through the tear.

"Tsubasa-san!" Hibiki recognizes the voice. But noticed that the barrier started to flicker. Realizing this, Hibiki quickly pick up Keegan and entered the tear just before the barrier vanished.

Meanwhile, Tsubasa, Hibiki's senior and famous idol, currently looking for the young girl at the last known location before disappearing.

"Where could she be?" Tsubasa wondered, until she spot mist coming out from the alleyway. "Mist? Could it be the unknown energy source HQ was warning me about?" The blue-haired swords woman draw her weapon, entering the alley with cautious. "Tachibana! Where are you?" She called out, hearing Hibiki's voice close by.

Tsubasa rush further in until she found what could be best to be described as a tear between reality. To her surprise Hibiki jumped out from the tear with carrying a person wearing orange colored suit of armor on her back and a strange cat like being. Before the wielder of Ame no Habakiri could check on Hibiki, her instinct kicked in, throwing her sword into the tear as soon after she heard a loud thump sound behind the tear until it close off on it's own.

"Tachibana are you alright?" Tsubasa asked, helping Hibiki getting up, seeing her face is slight pale.

"Heiki, hecchara…" Hibiki replies, even though she isn't not in the best shape.

"Your face is telling something else. Just wait and rest, i'll contact the commander." Tsubasa use her com to ask for aid.
