Author's Notes: Hi, readers. Here's chapter twelve of "Don't Run Away II: Running Through." I didn't mean to take more than a week to get it out. I had a case of writer's block. This chapter includes more elements from "A Bad Reflection on You." Ranger action is coming the next one. I have been enjoying doing my own take on the Power Rangers getting framed by Twin Man and his Putties. I decided to do their allies as well because I felt it wouldn't be appropriate to leave them out. Stay tuned for chapter thirteen.

Chapter 12: Next Move/News Report

Rita walked to the Lunar Palace's balcony stairs with Goldar, Scorpina, Twin Man, and four Putties behind her six minutes later. Twin Man and the Putties were in their morphed forms. Rita went up the stairs, as did Goldar. The fake Power Rangers and Scorpina stopped close to them. She approached the Repulsascope and looked into it. Goldar came to her side.

Rita smiled as she watched Rocky, Aisha, Adam, and Kat return to their desks and sit down. She made a slight adjustment and giggled at Bulk gobbling down his food greedily. Jason, Trini, Billy, Zack, Kim, Rocky, Aisha, Adam, and Kat cringed in disgust. They looked at each other and shook their heads in disbelief. She pulled back and looked at Goldar.

"It is so good to see the Power Rangers and their allies in detention," Rita squealed in great glee. "They can't even avoid Bulk's bad eating habits."

"I have always considered that boy to be a fat pig," Goldar admitted with a cackle. "Skull always agrees with what he says."

"Skull looks like a skinny nerd, but he lacks glasses and suspenders," Rita said and blew a raspberry.

"I say he would look good with them," Goldar commented with a chuckle. He emitted a series growl. "Now, it is time to execute phase two of your plan."

"It is going to be great to see those Power Rangers get what they deserve," Rita hissed. "They have caused so much trouble for me that I want to scream."

"Just don't start singing Whitney Houston's I Will Always Love You," Goldar joked with a snicker. "You butchered it when you did."

Rita shot Goldar a glare while gritting her teeth. He gave a shrug before emitting a soft growl. She turned around and came to the edge of the first step. He came to her side, his nostrils flaring.

"Scorpina, take Twin Man and his friends and launch an attack on Downtown Angel Grove. Strike fear into the hearts of civilians and tourists alike," Rita commanded sharply.

"Of course, my queen," Scorpina replied eagerly. "The Power Geeks will have their reputations ruined forever!"

Twin Man growled in much fierceness. "They sure will!"

"All of you better go," Rita said and emitted a soft snort.

"You shouldn't waste any more time," Goldar added.

Scorpina nodded at the duo. "Yes."

Scorpina and the fake Rangers teleported to Earth. Goldar and Rita looked at each other, big smiles forming on their faces.

"After their reputations are tarnished permanently, the Power Rangers will have no choice but to surrender to us!" Goldar said very excitedly.

"You are so right. I want to torture them before I destroy them," Rita replied.

"Don't leave me out of the torture! I want to be part of it," Goldar growled and flared his nostrils.

"You will, Goldar. You will," Rita assured gently. She and the golden warrior proceeded to talk about torture techniques they wanted to try on the Power Rangers.

Jason, Trini, Billy, Kim, Rocky, Aisha, Adam, Kat, and Zack were sitting in their seats in detention twenty-two minutes later. Jason, Trini, Kim, and Aisha looked over their algebra notes. Zack drew a mastodon in his notebook. So did Jason with a Tyrannosaurus in his. Billy jotted down notes on his notepad. Rocky, Aisha, Adam, and Kat propped their heads up with their elbows. Bulk was nearly finished with his food.

"Shit. I can't believe we got blamed for something we didn't do," Aisha mumbled irritatingly.

"Who would try to frame us?" Rocky wondered with a shrug.

"I have no idea, Rocky," Adam mumbled with a groan.

"I wish we didn't have to deal with Bulk's eating habits," Kim mumbled as she looked toward Bulk. "He eats like a pig."

"Oink, oink, oink," Kat and Trini said and snorted in a soft way.

"I would say he would make the perfect pig," Zack commented, a snicker coming out of his mouth. "He is always looking for food somewhere."

"He would make an ugly one. That's for sure," Jason said, closing his notebook. "The same goes for Skull."

"Let's throw them in a mud pit at the nearest farm, so they can see what it is like to be pigs," Billy suggested with a smirk.

"Good one, Billy," Zack said and moved his eyebrows up and down.

"No denying that," Rocky said, smiling in a wide way.

Bulk finished off his last banana and tossed the peel aside. He looked at his watch and formed a big smile on his face.

"Oh, boy!" Bulk said as he rose to his feet. He rubbed his hands together. "It's time for my favorite cartoon."

"Is it one of the Wile E. Coyote and Roadrunner shorts?" Zack asked with a smirk.

Kim giggled. "Maybe you and Skull will jump into one of them and run into a brick wall made with fast-drying Acme cement."

Aisha cupped her chin in her hand. "You two would look good as pancakes."

Bulk shot Zack, Kim, and Aisha a dirty look. He reached under the table and pulled out a box, this one being bigger with the words 'Detention Survival Kit' written on it. He pulled out a mini TV and went to the desk. He placed it there. Skull took the plug and plugged it in. Bulk started watching The Genie Family. Skull got in front of him.

"Out of my way, pinhead," Bulk yelled rudely as he grabbed his sidekick and threw him aside.

"But, Bulk, I want to see too," Skull whined while landing on his side.

Billy wrote on his notepad. "Hmm! What a remarkable display of early Neanderthal socio credit."

Aisha tapped her pencil on her temple. "Seriously."

Skull walked on his knees back to Bulk. They laughed at various clips of the show. Suddenly, a blue screen with the words 'Special Report' in white letters in the middle came on.

"We interrupt this program for a special report," an anchorman announced.

The bullies' rivals looked up. They got out of their seats and approached the TV with the exception of Jason. He grabbed his cane and stood up slowly. They gathered around it, swallowing hard.

"The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers once fought on the side of justice as the defenders of our planet. They have now joined with the forces of evil," the anchorman said.

"Say what?" Zack asked.

"Did you guys hear that?" Kat wondered, her body beginning to shake.

"That's bogus, we—" Rocky started and looked at Bulk and Skull in the corner of his eye. "I mean, the Power Rangers would never join the forces of evil."

"Our camera caught the beginning of this tragic turn of events as the Power Rangers staged a terrifying attack on Downtown Angel Grove just moments ago," the anchorman said.

The entire group tensed as the fake Rangers walked to the edge of the building. It gasped as they jumped off and flipped forward. They landed gracefully. The fake Rocky shot his Blade Blaster at the crowd. The fake Adam did the same while standing next to a damaged police car.

"I can't believe my eyes," Kim muttered shockingly.

"Or my ears," Trini added.

"This attack was totally unprovoked and took the city by surprise," the anchorman commented.

"But that's impossible," Billy insisted.

"Man, the Power Rangers are being framed," Jason growled in anger.

"Who can argue with that?" Kat said, crossing his arms.

"Today, the Rangers are behaving like the hoodlums they once put out of business," the anchorman continued. "It is indeed a dark day for Angel Grove and the entire world."

"All right!" Bulk and Skull yelled in excitement.

Jason, Trini, Billy, Kat, Rocky, Aisha, Adam, Zack, and Kim gave the bullies weird looks. Bulk and Skull turned away while whistling. Their rivals shifted their attention back to the TV. Jason gestured toward the corner of the room. He, his girlfriend, and his friends went there. Kim decided to go to the door and opened it. She began watching for anyone coming down the hallway.

"Rita is behind this. I just know it," Jason whispered seriously.

"It makes sense," Trini said while crossing her arms. "She must've created those phony Rangers and our allies and framed us for the drinking fountain incident."

"I am astounded she waited all this time to carry out such a plan," Zack added, his body shaking a bit. He touched the edge of his cast. "She could've done it months before."

"This has to be one of her evilest plans ever," Rocky muttered, shuddering quietly.

"You guys have to get out of here before those fake Rangers do irreparable damage to Angel Grove and the rest of the world," Aisha said as she motioned toward Rocky, Adam, Billy, Kim, and Trini.

"What about the rest of us, Aisha?" Kat pointed out. "We can't just stay in here while they are gone."

"The Rangers could morph while we teleport to the Command Center," Aisha suggested honestly.

"No way," Jason said, shaking his head. "They can't reveal their identities to Bulk and Skull."

"I guess we are stuck here," Billy responded uncertainly. He and his friends continued talking about Rita's attack.

Zordon and Alpha watched the fake Rangers shoot their Blade Blasters at fleeing civilians and tourists on the Command Center's Viewing Globe. Alpha stood close to it. The fake Rocky switched his to sword mode and swung it at a young woman, who ducked and ran for her life. The fake Trini and the fake Kim tossed chairs at two elderly men as they fled. The fake Adam and the fake Billy grabbed the throats of two teens and threw them to the ground. Alpha shook his head in disbelief.

"The Power Rangers would never join the forces of evil in a million millenniums!" Alpha said.

"Of course not," Zordon said, sighing heavily. "This is Rita's doing. She's reached a new low this time."

"I just can't believe it." Alpha said and whimpered softly. "Ay-yi-yi-yi."

"Something tells me she has wanted to do this for a long time," Zordon boomed and blinked twice.

"I agree, Zordon. What's interesting is the Green Ranger isn't involved right now. Did Rita decide he needed to sit this one out?" Alpha wondered very curiously.

Zordon nodded. "It is very possible. We both know he doesn't participate in every battle."

Alpha emitted a soft groan. "When he does participate in a battle, he causes a great deal of damage."

Zordon and Alpha observed the fake Rangers pointing their Blade Blasters at the ground and firing at it. The lasers exploded on impact, sending debris flying into the air. It landed on fleeing tourists, who were crying and screaming. Zordon blinked four times.

"I sense something is wrong with the Rangers, Alpha," Zordon replied very gravely. "Scan all channels right now."

"Right," Alpha said and looked at the console on his right. He pressed three buttons. "Oh, my. Oh, my."

The Viewing Globe switched to Jason, Trini, Billy, Kat, Rocky, Aisha, Adam, and Zack standing in the corner. Zordon and Alpha could see Kim watching the hallway.

"Oh, no! The Power Rangers and their allies are in detention!" Alpha cried frantically as he went to his mentor.

"I sense that Rita had Finster make a monster who could turn himself and Putties into mirror images of people. His name is Twin Man. There is no doubt he transformed himself and eight Putties into the Rangers and their allies. They framed them for a serious incident at school," Zordon explained.

"They have to get out of there, but the Rangers can't morph in front of Bulk and Skull. Nor can their allies teleport here. We can't teleport them here either," Alpha responded. "Bulk and Skull will get suspicious. They could squeal on them to get them in further trouble."

"Alpha, there is a way for them to get out of detention without Bulk and Skull noticing," Zordon said.

"What do you mean?" Alpha asked in confusion.

"You can teleport in with the sleep inducer Billy invented last week and put Bulk and Skull to sleep," Zordon answered with a smile.

"Of course!" Alpha yelled in much relief. He went toward the table on the Viewing Globe's right. "Why didn't I think of that before?"

Alpha stopped at the table and picked up the sleep inducer. It happened to be long and somewhat thick. It had two ends going diagonally. Each end had two wires twisted around each other at the top and bottom. On top of it was a medium-sized button.

"I am so glad Billy invented this," Alpha commented in much warmth. "I didn't think we would have to use it, though."

"I didn't either, but it is the only thing that will allow the Rangers and their allies to escape detention," Zordon said honestly.

"I will teleport in behind Bulk and Skull. Then I will sneak up on them and turn the sleep inducer on. They will be out for a little while," Alpha explained.

"Good luck, Alpha," Zordon said, warmth echoing from his voice. "If the Rangers see you, sign to them that they are not to say anything."

Alpha nodded at him. "Of course."

Zordon blinked. "Go now. Time is of the essence."

Alpha gave his mentor another nod and teleported away. Zordon looked toward the Viewing Globe, seeing the fake Rangers chase civilians. He hoped the real ones would get there and stop them quickly. He knew the damage the fake ones had done was immense. He hated that Rita had stooped to this level because it reminded him of how she fooled his warriors into helping Putties disguised as humans in distress. He continued watching the fake Rangers terrorize civilians.
