Klaroline Drabble 2 : Marcel kidnaps Caroline to get Klaus and his family to leave New Orleans.
"You're kidding me," Caroline groaned as her captor tired a rope dripped in vervain around her wrists. "Why did you take me again?"
The man glared at her. Caroline has never seen him around, yet he looked oddly familiar.
"Because I can use you to get to Klaus," he smirked, putting yet another rope dropped in vervain around her wrists. She winced in pain, yet her captor looked quite impressed.
"You seem to have built a tolerance to vervain? You're not screaming in pain like my other, well, victims," he laughed humorlessly. Caroline could see a glimmer of regret and pain in his eyes.
Who is this guy? Caroline asked herself.
Caroline laughed at him, throwing her head up to meet his eyes. "I'm used to being tortured, I guess."
"That's kind of depressing," he said as he threw her daylight ring on the floor.
She attempted to shrug, but it only made it more painful. "I'm basically collateral damage at this point," she sighed. "The blonde distraction."
"I don't get what Klaus Mikealson sees in you," he said. "No offense or anything, sweetheart."
She rolled her eyes then snorted. "First off, don't call me sweetheart or I'll chop your fingers off. Second, neither do i. One second he's murdering my friends then the next he's trying to playing Romeo and Juliet with me."
Her response made her captor laugh, "my names Marcel. Klaus and I go way back."
Caroline's mouth formed a o. "You're that guy," she muttered. "The one he saved."
He nodded sadly. "Once upon a time, we were a family. Rebekah, Klaus, Elijah and I. Kol was daggered, as was Finn so I never met the two. We were all happy in New Oreleans and then their werido father comes looking for them. They didn't even look back to see if I made it out. Turns out they all thought I died."
"So," she asked. "You gonna explain why your torturing me now?"
He shrugged and pulled the blinds of the window down, releasing the light of the sun onto Caroline's skin. She screamed as it burned her, causing blisters to form.
"Well," he smirked then lowered the blinds again, leaving Caroline panting. "He's trying time steal my city back, and I need to show him who's in charge."
He repeated the same process a dozen times before Caroline muttered a stop.
He laughed humorlessly. "You really think telling me to stop is gonna make me stop, honey?"
She groaned and made eye contact with the vampire. "Why?" She said, with tears in her eyes. "Just kill me already."
He snorted, "as if. I still got plans for you."
She sighed as he left the room. She didn't have much energy but she was able to lift her head up and look at her surroundings.
The room quite looked similar to the Forbes cellar her father tortured her in. She wondered if she was still in mystic falls.
After several minutes Marcel came back with a teenage girl behind him, she couldn't be any older then 17. "This is my dear old friend Davina," he smirked. "She's a witch."
Caroline looked at the girl in curiosity. "Why'd you bring a witch to torture me?"
Davina looked at Caroline and smiled sadly. "I'm not gonna torture you unless Marcel tells me to."
"So your his slave?" She asked, meeting eyes with the teenage witch then Marcel. "Can't fight your own battles?"
He leaned down and grabbed at her chin, the blisters burning at the touch of his hand. "I would be extra nice to me right now, I could make her give you a aneurism."
She glared back at him. "Do it."
Marcel muttered something to Davina, Caroline too busy hearing the ringing of her ears to pay attention to what they were talking about.
He closed the door behind him and Davina stared at Caroline. "So your his girlfriend?"
She snorted and had the nerve to laugh. "You're kidding," she laughed once again. "He wishes. He used to follow me around like a loss puppy."
"And you hate him," she asked.
"No," Caroline muttered. "He might have done some pretty terrible things to me and my friends, yet I still believe he can be saved."
"And why's that? He's a monster, Caroline. He hurts people," Davina said, raising her voice just a tad.
"What makes us any better then them? We're all monsters," Caroline groaned.
Davina stared at the vampire in wonder. "Go ahead, do what you have to," she growled, racing out of the room.
That's when 2 other vampires came in with guns. Caroline groaned, remembering Tyler's first wolf friends shooting her in the head with bullets.
"Well hello there," one of the men grinned. "You're a pretty little thing aren't ya."
She glared at him, "bite me."
"Gladly," he said as he shot her in the shoulder, causing her to howl in pain.
After what felt like hours and hours, Caroline let go and started to sob.
Which made both of them grin. "Give up?"
She looked up at them and frowned. "You like torturing people?"
They both shrugged. "We're sure you deserve it."
She sighed and looked at the ceiling, feeling sleep coming to her. "Probably."
Meanwhile ...
Klaus rolled his eyes as Marcel called him. He picked up his phone and debated picking it up.
"Hello, Marcel. What do you need? I'm kind of busy at the moment."
"Wanna strike a deal," he said, Klaus hearing the excitement in his voice.
"No,"'he growled.
"You get out of town, along with your siblings and I won't kill Caroline Forbes."
Klaus's heart practically stopped at the sound of her name.
Caroline.
He growled. "How dare you threaten a original."
He laughed humorlessly. "Do we have a deal or are you gonna let your ego get in the way of saving your damsel in distress?"
Marcel hung up, causing Klaus to throw his phone at the wall.
"REBEKAHHHH," he screamed, Rebekah quickly speeding next to him with a glare.
"What do you want Nik?"
"Pack up," he growled. "We're leaving."
"Uh, I'm not leaving without Elijah. Remember him? Our good brother."
"He's fine," Klaus groaned. "They have Caroline."
"How do they even know about that blonde bitch?"
Klaus took a shot of whisky. "Someone must have told him. The real question is who. Who tipped us off?"
Rebekah must have had the same idea as Klaus as they both went running to Hayley room.
Klaus growled and pinned the wolf to the wall.
"I'm not doing a round two," she said, rolling her eyes. "At least not pregnant."
"You listen here, little wolf," he growled, pushing her more into the wall. "You're the one who told Marcel about Caroline, weren't you?"
She shrugged. "So what if I did, what are you gonna do about it. Murder me?" She laughed.
Even Rebekah wasn't amused by her laughter and was heavily glaring at her.
"Why," Klaus asked with a much softer voice then he was using earlier.
"I don't like Caroline, plus Marcel said he was going to hurt Elijah if I didn't tell him your weakness."
"Elijah is immortal you, imbecile," Rebekah exclaimed. "Last time I checked, Caroline is not."
"I thought you didn't like Caroline?" Hayley asked her.
Rebekah shrugged. "Not really, yet my brother does."
Klaus smirked then turned to Hayley. "If I find out that they did anything to Caroline," he growled throwing Hayley onto the bed. "I will murder you once that baby pops out."
Hayley looked quite scared when Klaus stormed out of the room, slamming the door behind him.
Rebekah also glared at the wolf before following her brother.
"Do you know where they are keeping her," Rebekah asked, following Klaus down the hall.
"Yes, I have a pretty good idea where," he muttered, grabbing his car keys. "Let's go."
Meanwhile ...
"Truth or dare," one of the vampires said at her, shooting her with another bullet. She winced in pain and bit her lip, hoping a groan or scream wouldn't come out.
She cracked a smile at him. "Really? What are we, 5?"
The vampire shrugged. "Truth or dare."
"Well considering I can't get up I'll pick truth."
"Why do you here?"
"What do you mean," she asked.
"Marcel rarely tortures our kind, he usually shoves then in the garden."
"What's the garden?" Caroline found herself asked. "You know what," she groaned. "Never mind."
"You never answered my question."
"He thinks he can use me to draw Klaus in or something, considering how long I've been here, I doubt Klaus Mikealson gives a living shit about me."
"So basically we're doing this to you to piss off the hybrid? Oh god Klaus is gonna be so mad at me if he finds out I'm the one who's shooting you."
Caroline laughed sadly. "Yup," she looked at him, seeing him look sadly at her, with understanding eyes. "You don't like this do you. Do you know Klaus?"
"My names Josh. I'm kind of a new vampire," he said then groaned. "Marcel would kill me if he heard me talking to you. Then Klaus would murder me for touching you, I remember him speaking of some girl he used to like or something. I'm kind of compelled to tell Klaus like everything."
She laughed and smiled at Josh. "Don't worry about it. If he comes in just say I being annoying and wait so your double teaming?"
He shrugged. "Not by will of course. If I had it my way, I'd stay out of the drama. All though I really want a daylight ring. How do you have one?"
"Oh," she laughed. "One of my best friends a witch, she made me one."
Josh smiled. "Can she make me one?"
Caroline smirked. "Maybe... if you let me out of here."
He sighed. "You know I can't do that."
"Josh," he heard Marcel y'all. "Why are you talking to our prisoner?"
Josh mouthed sorry before shooting her in the head with a bullet, killing her.
"She kept asking all these questions," he laughed. "She's real talkative isn't she."
Marcel grinned and stared at the blonde vampire. "She's not normal," he smiled sadly. "Not a normal vampire. I now see why Klaus likes her so much."
"Why? What's so special about her?"
"You can see it in her eyes. This spark of humanity, it keeps her going. When Davina was talking to her, she was able to get in her head," Marcel continued, holding the blondes head.
"Wow, Davina must be powerful if she can multitask," Josh laughed.
"Mhm," Marcel said. "She's lost so much. Apparently her mother died to cancer this past spring. She's lost a lot of her friends, and her ex cheated on her with Klaus's new baby mama."
"You're saying. The girl Klaus got pregnant with some miracle baby, slept with her ex."
Marcel nodded. "Yup," he said. "That's kind of screwed up," he laughed.
"Anything else about her?"
"She mentioned being collateral damage to me. She's been torture by her own father, and many more. Even by Klaus at one point, which is weird considering she's willing to die for him."
Josh smiled at the dead vampire. "She's nice."
"She kind of reminds me of you," he grumbled before walking away. "Continue the torture till Klaus gets here."
"But you just said she was ni-," he said but Marcel cut him off.
"Doesn't mean anything. If we want to get to Klaus, the girls the key," He walked out, slamming the metal door behind him.
Josh sighed. "This is gonna be a long day."
On the other hand ...
Klaus zoomed into the quarter with Rebekah next to him. MARCELLLLL, he screamed.
"Cmon Klaus," he chuckled. "Inside voice, please."
The hybrid glared at the man he used to call a son. "Give her back, before I kill you."
Marcel smirked. "So we have a deal?"
Rebekah rolled her eyes. "Give us the blonde bitch and we will leave."
Marcel smirked and clapped his hands in excitement. "Good! Josh, come bring out our guest."
Klaus heard some scuffling, then there appeared his inside man, holding a tortured Caroline over his shoulders.
"She's still passed out," he said, looking at Marcel. "She will be okay right?"
Marcel nodded. "As long as Klaus plays by our deal, then yes."
Klaus fummed as he stared at his baby vamp. "How
dare you hurt her. DO YOU KNOW WHAT SHES BEEN THROUGH?"
Rebekah winced, remembering all the ways she's contributed to Caroline's hellish past.
"Yes, we do," Davina sighed, appearing next to Marcel. "I was trying to find you through her head but all I found were horrible memories. She turned to Klaus. "Did you know that she was tortured a lot?"
Klaus shrugged. "Several times, yes."
"Damon Salvatore, Bill Forbes, some werewolf named Jules, even you and Rebekah, Lily and her family, yet, she turned to Marcel. You kept telling me to hurt her, just to get through to him."
Marcel looked down, showing a little sympathy before grinning. "All's good. She'll get over it."
Klaus froze. "What do you mean," he growled. "Damon Salvatore? What does he have to do with Caroline."
Davina sighed. "I don't believe that's something for me to share."
"Can we get out of here," Rebekah groaned, bored out of her mind. "This is boring."
Klaus nodded. "Fine, we will leave. Now give us back Caroline."
Marcel nodded at Josh, who handed Caroline to Klaus gently. He showed a sad smile to the hybrid before turning back on his heels to Marcel.
Klaus looked softly at the vampire in his arms. "You're a disgrace," he muttered, spitting at Marcels feet.
"You once said love is weakness, Klaus," he said then snorted. "Look at you now. In love with a girl who doesn't even like you."
Klaus glared at Marcel before nodding at Rebekah. She grabbed Caroline from him and vamp speeded away.
Klaus flashed right in front of Marcel, his face super close to his. "If you ever, and I mean ever hurt Caroline Forbes again. I will kill every vampire and witch in New Orleans without blinking. Don't underestimate me Marcel, you might have won this fight. Yet you will not win the battle."
And just like that he flashed away, leaving Marcel staring at where he was once standing.
"Well," Josh muttered sarcastically. "That was fun."
Meanwhile ...
Klaus joined Rebekah in the car. "We will come back for Elijah In a week."
"But Marcel said to stay out of New Orleans," Rebekah added.
Klaus smirked. "He never said how long."
After several hours of driving and driving they finally reached mystic falls.
Klaus grabbed Caroline and pounded on the Salvatores mansion.
A women appeared and looked at Caroline, her eyebrows rising. "Yes?"
"Uh, where is Stefan and Damon," he growled.
She shrugged. "No idea, they don't live here anymore."
Klaus looked her dead in the eyes. "Invite me in."
"No can do," Lily replied. "We compelled Matt Donovan to sign the lease on the house."
Klaus muttered bloody hell before looking behind her. There stood a man, rushing to Caroline.
"Caroline," he whispered. "What happened?"
"Now, Lorenzo, don't worry about Caroline, I'm sure her friend has his hands full."
Enzo glared at Klaus. "You're that original hybrid," he muttered. "Stefan and the Scooby gang has been looking for her forever. They figured she ran away or something."
"No," he growled. "Unfortunately she was kidnapped by one of my enemies. Direct me to the Salvatore brothers."
"Whitmore College," lily said.
Klaus snorted. "They go to college now?"
After a 2 hour drive to the college, Rebekah knocked loudly on their door, screaming let me in dumbasses.
Stefan answered the door, then looked at Caroline with wide eyes. "How?"
"She was taken and brought to New Orleans. She was shot in the head which will take her a while to wake up from. I thought I should take her to you."
Stefan nodded and pointed to a couch he could set her on.
"Well need to talk to Damon," Rebekah sighed, crossing her arms. "He has some explaining to do."
"Uh, hes not here right now," Stefan said, grabbing his keys. "I guess I can take you."
Rebekah smirked. "Good, Nik, stay with Caroline," she said as she walked out the door.
Stefan nodded at Klaus before leaving.
Klaus looking at Caroline as she started to stirr. "Klaus," she said groggy. "Where am I?"
"Whitmore College."
She laughed. "You saved me?"
He nodded. "Of course I did, love."
She smiled back at him and smiled. "Thank you."
"Anything for you."
Something that he didn't expect her to do was hug him, yet when she did he felt something in her pocket.
"What's this?" He grumbled as he pulled out a piece of paper.
Caroline grabbed it from him and read it. She smiled lightly and looked at Klaus.
Hiii, sooooo here's my number because you seem nice and not completely crazy and I'm sorry for what happened to you so give me a call.
718-615-6178.
- Josh .
Ps, if your witchy friend wants to make me a daylight ring, I wouldn't be completely opposed to It.
Caroline snorted. "Did he just ask me out."
"I'm pretty sure he's gay."
