He finally realizing it.

He's now a divorced father of five.

It took so many fights, court battles, and paper before Kathy told him the truth. It shocks the whole family. Angers them, and disdain their mother for doing such a horrible thing against their father who doesn't do anything but to protect and love his family.

It took one year before the divorce was finalized, he also got sole parental custody of Dickie and Lizzie and of course, Eli.

He loved the kid so much. So very much.

Kathy didn't fight him. He just found out from her brother that she moved to Florida to start over again. And also thank him for what he did.

"My sister did a horrible thing to you. Yet here you are loving her kid like he was your own." To which Elliot replied "He's my son. I'm his father no matter what."

On the other hand, the news about his divorce spread like a wildfire around the department and their unit. Creating a joke that "Now that Stabler is single, He can now ask Benson for a date"

Of course, his partner and best friend didn't take it. Telling their brothers and sisters in blues that she can only see him as a sibling and respects the hell out of him.

But who the hell doesn't want to date Olivia Benson?

She's long legs, long eyelashes, perfect jawline, luscious lips, and all-around badass. Men outside and inside the department would likely kill each other to have her.

"Morning." Olivia said giving him his coffee and donuts,

"I'm buying tomorrow right?" Elliot said to which Olivia nods.

"Date went wrong?" She nods again, "Guy's a bastard, no chemistry. He does not even satisfy me."

"Alright, I'm not gonna hear that thing. I finished your files, Man, you should change your signature." He joked.

"Haha."

Elliot smiles. It's good to have Olivia as his best friend. Even though they went through a rough patch, the dynamic between them is still as strong as ever. They have the highest closure rate among the department causing them to be the most popular detectives in all of NYPD. And without Olivia, Elliot doesn't know what he's going to do to raise his kids

"Kathleen doing well?" Olivia asks

"Still having therapy, but she might get a part-time job soon." Elliot said

"That's cool." Olivia smiles.

"Yeah." Elliot said getting lost in her big brown orbs.

He finds himself looking at Olivia lately since the divorce was finalized, and finds himself thinking about the possibilities between them. The what-ifs.

What if he asked her on a date?

What if they become a couple?

But then he also thinks what Olivia said.

She respects the hell out of him.

And he does too.

"Something wrong?" Olivia snaps him back to reality.

"Uhh, nothing. I just..thinking of Eli." He lied. Olivia hums in agreement "I think about him too." She said

"Please don't tell me he asked you to buy him a lego." He said.

"No, no I was just thinking of bringing him to Wonder Wheel in Coney Island. Simon called me yesterday and told me he had extra tickets."

"That sounds cool. When?"

"Uh, Saturday? Sunday? As long as the phone wouldn't ring." She said.

"I'm good for Saturday. The twins will be at my brother's home the gonna help him fix our old man's car."

"And Maureen and Kathleen?"

"They both had a job won't come home until Sunday."

"Then Saturday it is."

Next: They go on a trip!
