Prologue

Margaret Atwood once said, "All stories are about wolves. All worth repeating that is..." Well this story is about more than just wolves. It has Wolves, and Mystics, savagery and murder, family bonds, and a fairy tale romance that everyone loves to read about.

All fairy tales start the same way; boy meets small town girl and it's love at first sight. They have some good moments, then something happens that appears to threaten their happiness, but in the end they live happily ever after. Well, this story is not that simple.

It all starts when a young man begins experiencing changes that are far from normal. Then, his parents are murdered, viciously. Believing he's responsible, he runs away and finds his way to a small town where werewolves like him run wild. He walks into the local roadhouse and locks eyes with the girl of the story. She appears normal, but she's far from it. She's not a wolf, however, but something else entirely.

She is the Mystic of Lupine Ridge.
