Now to move on to the story and what you can expect.
This story does have a lot of sexual scenes in it. If you've ever watched Scum's Wish than you know what to expect because I was inspired by that anime this story has the same plot with some differences.
Pairings: NaruHina, NaruShio, KibaHina. But this is a NaruHina story so don't be put off but yes things will happen between Naruto and Shion and same goes for Hinata and Kiba.
I don't know own Scum's Wish or Naruto.
Italics are flashbacks

Love is dangerous when you think about it. Love when requited is beautiful filled with kisses, hugs, promises, hopes, and bright futures and yet when love is unrequited it is dangerous. Lethal even. It could go either way you could get tired of an unrequited love or you could become obsessed. Thinking of your unrequited love, feeding it, nurturing it, allowing it to grow to unhealthy obsession. Because when you're obsessed you're mind doesn't work the same anymore. You're not the same anymore. Hell you're not even sane anymore.
He loved their teacher Haruno Sakura and she - the shy, meek, timid or in his word words weird and dark girl- loved him Uzumaki Naruto.
She loved him since she was a child. When her mother died she went to a swing set outside her apartment complex. She sat there for minutes? Hours? She doesn't remember. All she remembers is the cold biting at her cheeks. The frigid cold numbing her fingers and toes. Her body as numb as her small heart.
Lost now was the warmth of her mother replaced was the coldness of her father. Cold as the winter that she was now in. She hated winter. Before it was for trivial reasons such as she couldn't go outside. She couldn't play with her mother and pick flowers and obviously it was always cold. But now she hates it for a different reason. Now winter simply reminds her of the death of her mother. The trees bare just like her being.
She would never have her mothers warm hugs. Her soft kisses. Her reassuring words. She cried for so long her tears have frozen on her face.
Her cubby little fingers tighten around the rope. Her cheeks are dusted pink from the nipping cold. Cold she's so cold inside and out. So alone and so afraid.
"Hey.."
A small voice called out to her. She doesn't have the energy to look up. She's frozen in her place.
"Hey... you okay?"
She peeks up and sees... the sun? That's how she can describe it... describe him. He's the sun. Blue eyes like the sky so pure and free. His hair is so yellow so golden. How can hair shine so bright like that. His face round and chubby like hers expect he has... whiskers? On his face. She finds them cute and intriguing. His blue eyes sparkle with worry. He's looking straight at her from his crouching position.
"H-hai." Her throat feels raw from the amount of crying she's done. She shudders as the cold wind breezes by.
"Well you don't look okay. This is usually my swing y'know. I sit on it whenever I'm sad but you look sad so you can you use it now." As he finished his rambling he gives her a small smile.
"A-ano...T-thank you." She manages out. She doesn't want to talk with anyone. She wants to be left alone.
"It's okay!" She waits for him to leave but he doesn't. He looks content just sitting in the snow looking at her as if she's some mystery.
"A-are you s-sad now? D-do you want m-me to get o-off?"
"Huh? Oh nah. I just don't have anywhere to go so I thought I'd sit on my special swing and think y'know?"
"O-oh."
They sat in silence for a few minutes. The boy fidgeted around in the snow. She realizes that his pants are getting wet from the snow but that he isn't going to leave and she doesn't want to leave yet either. Not yet. She's never seen her father so heart broken. So sad. She can't go back yet. She can't face the new reality. The new family dynamic that she would go home to.
"U-um y-you can sit next to m-me." She stammers. She's a shy girl that's had little interaction with kids let alone with a boy. She's never been good with talking or making friends. She's lived a sheltered life.
She sees his eyes slowly brighten and practically shine with joy. "Sure!" He exclaims joyfully. Most kids avoid him because of his weird whiskered cheeks they taunt him and call him fox boy and to be invited to swing with someone is exciting. Physical contact is something he is rarely treated to. Well unless it's physical abuse but this isn't that.
The small girl scoots over for the boy who makes his way on the swing set. Finally they get comfortably situated on the swing after scooting and readjusting themselves to make way for their small frames.
Their small, short legs swinging back and forth. As they grip the swings rope.
"So you never told me why you're sad." The boy presses the issue.
She thinks about telling him. She shifts uncomfortably on the swing. She's not an over sharer. She likes to keep things bottled up but those blue eyes call out to her. They ask her to tell and divulge her sadness to them. So she does.
"My mommy died." This is the first time she doesn't stutter. A rare occurrence for her to not stutter. Her father took her to so many doctors to find a solution to her problem but they all told him that she would grow out of it on her own.
The boy doesn't say anything. His feet stop kicking back and forth as his small body tenses.
It's quiet. Maybe he wasn't ready for that. Maybe she shared too much. It's awkward now. Her body is so cold she wants to go home and curl up in her bed. She opens her mouth to tell him she's leaving now until he speaks again.
"My parents are dead too." His small voice is now barely a whisper. Barely audible.
They remain quiet now. Sharing their pain for lost loved ones. Too young to understand how to properly grieve. How to handle their emotions.
That was the start of their friendship. But that was also the start of her growing infatuation with the whiskered boy.
It became regular occurrence to meet each other at the swing. They found out that they live in the same apartment complex. His name is Naruto. Her name is Hinata. Her favorite color is purple. His is orange. Her favorite food is cinnamon rolls with extra glaze. His is Ramen Miso Ramen to be exact. She has a father, a cousin and a new baby sister. He has no one.
"Y-You have me N-Naruto-kun."
Their both bullied children. Him for his weird birth marked cheeks and her for her peculiar lavender tinted orbed eyes that lacked pupils.
Sometimes he cries for the parents that he doesn't remember. That he doesn't know. He cries from the lack of hugs and kisses. He wants someone to tuck him in and tell him everything will be okay. Sometimes she cries for the mother that is no longer here. For the father that prefers her younger sister. For the cousin that despises her. Sometimes they cry together sharing their pain.
They grow together. Walking each other to school, helping each other, looking out for one another. She helps him in school and he helps her gain some sort of self confidence. He encourages her to stand up against her cousin
"Never give up Nata! Don't let those bastards push you around!"
Hinata's cousin Neji isn't very fond of her. They use to be close a long time ago when they were younger when her mother was alive. When his father was alive. She doesn't blame him for hating her. It's her fault his father is dead.
She was playing in the street even though she was told countless times not to. One minute she's laughing and jumping around and the next she hears a honk, the screeching of tires. She waits for the impact but it never comes. When she opened her eyes her uncle was spiraled out in the street. A trickle of blood on the side of his mouth. He had pushed her out of the way before the car hit her small body. She will never forget the smell of burnt tire marks, the look of his lifeless eyes. His long brown hair creating a halo around him. She will never forget his sacrifice.
Neji picked up the habit of tormenting Hinata. Pushing her, hitting her, undermining her, bullying her. Her father pretended not to see. Willfully ignoring her cries of pain. Now that she's older she wonders maybe that was her fathers way of letting Neji grieve. To take his anger out on her.
Naruto and her cousin Neji get into a fight one day. He's sick of Hinata coming to the swing because of Neji so he decides it's time to put one thing that makes Hinata sad in its place.
They fight. Punches are thrown. Kicks are given. Blood is spilled. Naruto wins. He wins for Hinata. For his best friend.
But he can't do the same for her father. While not abusive he didn't acknowledge her. Didn't look at her or even talk to her much.
Hinata resembles her mother in her looks and personality. Both quiet, demur, timid women with kind hearts.
Her father can't look at her without seeing his late wife. So he distances himself from her. His own way of grieving. Hinata realized that Hyugas don't have healthy ways of grieving.
She realizes a lot of things about her own family. Their stoic, intimidating, cold, manipulative, toxic. Hyugas were like wolves and Hinata was a bunny amid wolves. But she has Naruto
They're sitting in his room they had just come home from school both new first years. Playing on his game console. She's not sure what their playing. Some game that involves shooting. She can't help but geek out that she's in his room which shouldn't be such a big deal. She comes here so often it's like a second home to her. But things are changing for her. She can't help but look at him in a whole new light. His beautiful blonde hair and blue eyes that remind her of the deepest part of the ocean. They make her want to jump in while the waves pull at her.
She's fallen for him. Fallen for his sunny disposition. Fallen for his laugh that makes her throat tighten. Fallen for the smile that that brightens her day that makes everything more endurable. Fallen for the boy that's there for her. Fallen for him so hard that she can't breathe anymore. She can't sleep. She can't think. She can't be in close proximity to him anymore without getting flustered without her stuttering getting out of hand. She's fallen and it's a hard fall.
"Hinata..."
She hums as she looks at him. His eyes are downcast. He has a faint blush on his cheeks. She's never seen him so... flustered.
"N-naruto-kun." Her heart is doing that thing again. It's tightening so painfully she can't breathe. Her stomach clenches she thinks she might throw up. Her breathe hitched and gets stuck in her throat.
"We tell each other everything right?"
"Mm" That's all she can reply all she can say. She doesn't trust her voice anymore.
He nods. It's like he's contemplating something so important. His eyes narrow at the floor. He pulls his bottom lip with his white teeth. Finally he looks at her. At his best friend. The person who knows everything about him. The person he trusts the most.
"Nata I think... I think I'm in love."
"..."
Silence. She can't speak. She can't breathe. She can't hear anything anymore. Her vision becomes blurry. Her ears are hot.
"Who?" She manages out.
Now the blush on his face blooms from a tinge of pink to a cherry red.
"Haruno-sensei."
That name repeated itself in her head over and over and over and over.
Haruno was his tutor. An eighteen year old bomb shell. Her name was Sakura and it fit her well. Fair unblemished skin, short silky pink hair, gentle leafy green eyes, she was neither too short nor too tall. Her body was athletic and feminine, flat chest but a perky round ass. A boys wet dream and dream. Naruto's dream and wet dream apparently.
Hinata has fallen and she's not sure she can get up anymore. Finally she exhales a breathe. "O-oh."
He groans. "I know! I know! She's older and all and she's like in college. But I think I have a chance! I mean she's only four years older. It's not that big of an age difference and she's so beautiful Nata. I can't stop thinking about her. I get all sweaty around her. I can't think when I'm around her. I can barely breathe when she's around either. She has the most intoxicating smell ever. Cherry mixed with her special Sakura Blossom perfume. I'm so obsessed! You get it right Nata?"
She does. She very much does. She wills the tears to stay in her eyes. To stay strong. To not break
"Y-yea." She clears her right throat. "Yea N-Naruto-kun I-I get it." She smiles at him
She watches as he sighs in relief.
"So what am I gonna do Nata?"
That's how it started. Hinata would stay at her window every Friday waiting to see Haruno's car to pull up in their apartment complex parking lot. Wait for her to step out and than finally make her way to Naruto's. She was obsessed. It was making her crazy. She was crazy.
Soon she started to notice that Haruno would leave Naruto's house with flowers, chocolates, small trinkets like a Chibi fox key chain or a personalized phones case with her name on it. Things she didn't have before but walked out with.
"I keep giving her things Nata and she just nods and says thanks!" Naruto pouts
"She thinks I'm a kid."
Hinata just nods. She's patient. She'll be patient. This tutoring wouldn't last long and it was obvious Haruno wasn't interested in Naruto. So she had nothing to worry about...or so she thought.
He wasn't eating anymore, dark circles plagued his eyes, he wasn't her sunshine anymore. He wasn't even hers anymore. He was in love so deeply in love with someone that wasn't her and it hurt. It pained her.
Finally after the end of the school year came and he was given the news that Haruno-sensei would no longer be his tutor. Hinata rejoiced. Finally he could take his mind off of her. She was relieved. Until it was revealed she would be their sensei at school now.
Naruto was elated.
"That's awesome! Right Nata! That means I have more time to get her to see how great I am! More time for her to fall in love with me."
She smiled and nodded her head but inside she was breaking.
Everyday Naruto would leave earlier for school than she was use to. The first time he did it he didn't even tell her.
She waited outside his door knocking for half an hour. Finally she left fearing she would be late.
When she finally arrived at school she quickly moved in the hall ways to get to her classroom until she saw Naruto in a class that wasn't his. The class belonged to Haruno-sensei. Haruno-sensei was a fourth year teacher while she and Naruto were second year students. He had no real business being there. Not just because this wasn't his class but because Haruno-sensei's class didn't start for another thirty minutes.
"Here sensei I can get that for you!" He took the text books from her hands and placed them on a desk at the further end of the class room.
"Well thank you Mr.Uzumaki I really appreciate you coming early and helping me set up my class room today."
"It's no big deal! I can come every morning and help you if you'd like!" Hinata watched as Naruto's eyes shined in giddiness. He scratched the back of his head a nervous tick of his.
Hinata continued on to her class. He abandoned her. Didn't even tell her that he was going to school early. He came to school early for her for a woman he can't even have for a woman who doesn't even want him.
She wanted to cry but that would just make her look like a fool in front of everyone.
Five minutes before the bell rang Naruto made it to class. He was shining bright. His smile showing his pearly white teeth.
He quickly saw Hinata and made his way to the seat next to her. She ignored him. Ignored his jabbering about Haruno-sensei and her encouraging words that he says are the highlight of his days. Ignores him when he's silent. Ignores him when he asks what's wrong. Ignores him he makes a worried face. She ignored him all day.
As she walked home that day alone. That's how it started. How they started to grow apart. After school hours he would help Haruno-sensei with whatever she needed. When he went home he would study hard for Haruno-sensei to make her proud. To make her see that he was worthy of her attention and affection. On weekends he would hang out with his other friends. It was weeks until they finally talked with each other. She was on the swing set.
"Hey."
His voice was getting scratchy. That awkward stage when a mans voice is trying to transition.
She tries to ignore him. She can't speak to him. She's scared if she talks her voice will wavier and he would see how obsessed she is with him how truly in love she is with him.
"Hinata I'm really sorry. It's just that I've been busy with Haruno-sensei and you know how I feel about her. I should have told you that I was going to school early. I hope you didn't wait for me too long that day." He rubbed the back of his head.
Guilt? Or just plain nervousness.
"H-half an hour."
His hand dropped to his side, "Nat-"
"I w-waited h-half an hour for you. I-I looked s-stupid waiting for s-someone who didn't e-even care t-to t-tell me n-not to waste my t-time. Waiting f-for s-someone that's suppose to be m-my best friend." Tears trickled down her beautiful face.
Suddenly she felt two strong arms wrapped around her.
"I'm sorry Hinata. Really I am."
She thought it was the start of renewing the friendship but little did she know it was just the beginning of its destruction of its demise. A burning fire that was plummeting to hell.
———————————————
He needed to get Haruno-sensei's attention but how? How damnit. She saw him as a kid he needed to show her that he was a man. A man that could please her. But how could he do that when he was still a virgin? He was so caught up in his thoughts he didn't realize his friends were already behind him till a arm came across his shoulders.
"Would you look at how hot Shion is!" Exclaimed Kiba.
Kiba was a known horn dog and it took Naruto a second before he realized he was talking about a fourth year that was standing across the hall from them. She had long platinum blonde hair and purple eyes that almost reminded him of Hinata.
He could hear her friends giggling and asking if she was getting enough sex with all the exams they were having as she sucked on her small carton of milk.
He heard her hum and say "Maybe not." As she looked directly at him. He watched as she wiped her mouth with the sleeve of her shirt and throw away the empty milk carton.
Naruto could hear Kiba and Shikamaru talking but he tuned them out. Maybe Shion was the answer to his little virgin problem.
It started out with her telling him to wait for her after school. He hoped Hinata wouldn't be too mad but he would do anything for Haruno-sensei and Hinata just wasn't in the picture right now. God he was an asshole. Hinata had always been there for him and here he was abandoning her.
He watched as Shion approached him. "Hey I'll catch up with you guys after school, Cool?" Naruto said to his friends. He hoped they would get the hint and leave. Thankfully they did.
Kiba chuckled, "No sweat Naruto." He winked at him knowingly.
"Shion." She introduced herself.
"Naruto."
"So your a second year?" She hummed as she assessed him. He was sexy. Sure he was younger but he was taller than her by several inches. His body lean and muscular. His looks overwrote his age.
"Yea and you're a fourth year?" He already knew she was. Kiba literally mentioned her every time he got the chance. Every hot-blooded male knew who she was. She was only one of the hottest fourth year students in the whole school.
They bantered for awhile. Both assessing each other by their short replies. They exchanged numbers.
Finally at the end of the school day he meet up with Kiba and Shikamaru.
He could see Kiba's smirk from a mile away. Naruto rolled his eyes.
"So?" Kiba asked
"So what?" Naruto asked innocently.
"Shion you idiot! What happened with Shion?"
Naruto smirked, "Nothing. Yet."
Kiba hollered in laughter and slapped Naruto on the back, "So you're finally over your obsession with Haruno-sensei."
"It's not an obsession."
"Troublesome, It's definitely an obsession."
Naruto narrowed his eyes at his friends, "Whatever. Shion is just... you know gonna help me pass the time for right now."
"Oh she'll definitely help you pass time." Kiba chuckled
Thankfully Hinata had an after school project she had to complete. The last thing he needed was for her to think he was becoming like Kiba. But in a way he was. He needed to be. Maybe then Haruno-sensei would notice him. Take interest in him.
At night time he got a text from Shion. Asking if he wanted to walk to school in the morning with each other. He agreed.
It started to become a routine. Shion would come over and they would walk to school. Then they started to walk home from school to his house. It was slow at first but every walk home was a promise of an escalation of soft kisses that turned to raw passionate kisses, touching, groping, fingers that plunged in and out of plush walls, her mouth that explored his manhood.
The weeks he spent with Shion were weeks that helped him take his mind off of Haruno-sensei. He was so consumed by the thoughts of walking home with Shion and what would happened afterwards that it helped his mind become preoccupied. But he still thought of her. Still tried to catch glimpses of her short pink silky locks. Watch her walk as her red pumps would clack on the floor accentuating her long unblemished legs.
He was pulled out of his thoughts by a small hand tugging on his larger one. He looked to his side to see Shion. She really was pretty, average height, slim curvy figure with nice round breasts and a nice ass. Plump lips that he couldn't wait to have around his dick. Fuck he could already feel himself get hard.
"So are you gonna take me to your place or what?" She asked
"Uh yea my place. Let's go." He walked along side her with their hands interlaced.
Finally they made it to his apartment complex. But as soon as they made it his heart plummeted to the pit of his stomach. There was Hinata on the swing. That damn swing he really needed to cut it down or something. He barely went there anymore. But seeing Hinata there looking so downcast he just wanted to run up to her.
It had been weeks since he really had seen her. He was busy... He was an asshole and he half hoped that Hinata would just stop waiting around for him. He didn't deserve her friendship.
"A friend of yours?" Shion asked curiously.
"Yea something like that." Naruto replied with a shrug.
It seemed as though Hinata had heard his voice. She looked up from the ground to look in the eyes of the blue ocean that seemed to always pull her back in. But she assessed the scene in front of her. Naruto hand in hand with Shion. Hinata wasn't one for gossip or prejudgements without knowing a person but Hinata has heard many unsavory things about Shion.
Hinata looked back and forth between the two. Hoping maybe she was just misunderstanding things but she couldn't misunderstand the way Naruto dragged Shion to his apartment. She couldn't misunderstand the two hours they had been in his apartment alone and she couldn't misunderstand the messed up long platinum blonde hair, wrinkled white school shirt and scrunched up skirt.
In the weeks that Naruto had stopped talking to her, walking to school with her, hanging out after school with her she knew it was because of Shion. She saw them always walking together.
Rumors had spread like wild fire that Naruto and Shion were a thing. She was just waiting for Naruto to confirm it. But nothing.
No texts, no calls, nothing. She hadn't heard from him.
The first day he ditched her she tried not to hold it against him. But he did it over and over and over that she knew he was doing it on purpose now. He was pushing her to the side. First for Haruno-sensei and now for Shion. When would she learn? When would she stop doing this to herself.
Everyday she sat at the swing and everyday he pretended as if he didn't see her. This has been the first time he made eye contact with her in weeks and when Shion asked if she was a friend he didn't even give her a proper answer. "Something like that." Those words repeated themselves in her mind. She was something of a friend now. Not a best friend. Not even a friend just something like it.
"How long are you going to sulk."
Hinata sighed, "I'm not sulking Nii-san."
"This is sulking. You're too old for this Hinata. You need to get over him." Neji never the one to beat around the bush. Everyone knew of Hinata's infatuation with Naruto all expect Naruto himself.
"I don't know what you're talking about Nii-san."
A silence fell over them. Neji and Hinata's relationship had come a long way from bickering hateful cousins. She trusted Neji now he was like an older brother to her and she knew Neji meant well but she didn't need his advice on this matter.
"He's obliviously moved on Hinata. How long will you continue to demean yourself like this."
"I'm not demeaning myself." Hinata bristled. Tightening her grip on the ropes of the swing.
"You are. I'm tired of seeing you waiting for him after school like a lost puppy. You need friends Hinata. Branch out. This isn't healthy."
He was concerned for his younger cousin. Each day she would come home looking like a puppy that had been kicked while it was down. Constantly checking her phone. Peering out the window as she watched Shion leave and come as she pleased.
He was surprised Naruto had become this sort of person. But everyone changed. While everyone expect his naive cousin.
"He's my best friend." Hinata whispered softly.
"Was." Neji needed for her to understand the boy she once knew was no longer there. Too many things had started to change for him. If he was putting Hinata on the back burner for other women than he wasn't her best friend anymore.
With that Neji left her to her thoughts hoping with all hope that something he said got through to her.
Hinata sat there contemplating Neji's words.
Was. Past tense. Meaning not anymore. He wasn't her best friend anymore. They weren't kids anymore. He wasn't relying on her anymore. He wasn't checking up on her anymore. They weren't hanging out anymore.
His obsession with Haruno-sensei had clouded all his thoughts. It was obvious he still wanted her. Because just like the way Naruto watched Haruno-sensei Hinata watched him.
Watched as his eyes admired her body, his eyes shone with absolute love. He would gladly die for her if just to have one day with her. She watched as his eyes always searched for her. She also realized that Shion knew this and didn't care. So this obliviously wasn't a serious relationship. But either way she was enough to push Hinata to the side. Shion was enough for Naruto that he didn't need Hinata's company anymore.
If Naruto has someone to take his mind off of Haruno-sensei than she would find someone to take her mind of Naruto. Even if just for awhile because just like Naruto was obsessed so was she and that obsession wasn't going to end soon.
