Disclaimer: I do not own either the characters from the Hobbit or the story of the Scorpion King, only how the story goes. The characters from the Hobbit belongs to J.R.R. Tolkien and Warner Bros. and the legend of the Scorpion King belongs to WWE and Universal. The only thing that I do own are the OC's of the story. I apologize for any errors in grammar and/or if I was not accurate in reference to something.
A/N: This is the fourth Legend of the Scorpion King story. I don't know if I'll do anything else between Tolkien's work and the Scorpion King story. Also, there is no follow up to this story.

Legend of the Scorpion Orc
Azog – Scorpion King
Sauron – Anubis
Balin – Ardeth Bay
The sun started to set over the Dwarf Kingdom of Moria as another day for the dwarves came to an end. While most stopped mining, smithing and patrolling the outside of the walls, others were gathering at a mess hall. Some of the dwarves started to move towards one of their elders and one asked, "Come on, Balin. Give us a tale."
"Yeah." The other dwarves agreed. Balin, one of the dwarves to risk his life trying to help Thorin, son of Thrain, son of Thror, take back the lost kingdom of Erebor from the dragon Smaug.
Balin sighed as he looked his people and asked, "So, you really want a tale, do ye?"
The other dwarves nodded, causing Balin to smile a little. Balin then said, "Allow me to tell you one of the tales of Azog, and how his soul became even more tainted than it already was…"
He looked to the window that let in the sun light. The sun was setting in the west as it gave off a flashing green sheen.

(Cue Legend of the Scorpion King track)
The sheen from a much younger sun bore down over a younger Middle Earth. In this part of the world, the land was bare and covered in sand, but the Free Peoples were able to get by. But it was a dark day for them as soldiers from each of the Free Peoples marched before the entrance of a combined civilization of their cultures. They all wore armor respective to their own people, elf, man, hobbit and dwarf. They moved in four rows of troops before letting loose their war cries in their native tongues.
Balin: A long time ago, in the First Age, a great and fierce orc known as the Scorpion Orc led a great army of darkness on a campaign to conquer Middle Earth.
On the other side, the Scorpion Orc's army, marched towards the gates. Each soldier, whether they be man or orc, wore a piece of armor that had a scorpion on it. They stood in a great formation of battle ready bodies. Suddenly, they all moved aside from the middle as their leader came through to the front. A tall pale orc of Gundabad stepped to the front of the army with a grim frown on his face. Battle scars were littered over his body, his left arm was missing and replaced by a blade. In his right hand was a shield with a scorpion on it while a bracelet with the body of a scorpion but had the head of a warg.
He looked to the armies of the Free Peoples and shouted in Black Speech, "Haku Mashente!"
Then with a war cry from their leader, the Scorpion Orc's army rushed forward with battle cries of their own. The Free Peoples gave their own war cries and rushed forward as well. The Scorpion Orc let loose a roar as the two armies drew closer. Both armies let out one final cry before clashing into each other. Weapons of all varieties met in a great clash as the battle commenced.
Swords slashed, clubs bashed, spears impaled and a few punches and kicks were thrown as the two armies fought. The battling armies continued to converge as the battle raged on. An elf fired a bow at a Man, but it was blocked by the Man's shield blocked the shot. A dwarf bashed their hammer against an Orc's legs and it made the Orc fall. The Scorpion Orc rammed his shield into face of a Hobbit before slashing his bladed arm down the back of a dwarf. An elf came running up to him with his blade raised, but the Scorpion Orc clashed his own weapon against the elf's. Soldiers continued to fight and slaughter each other as they continued to fight. The Scorpion Orc tripped the elf before stomping down hard on the elf's throat. Moving away from the elf, he slowly looked behind him as a Man came running up to him with his blade raised high. The Scorpion Orc was able bash the incoming human in the face with his shield before turning to another dwarf and impaling the smaller creature with his arm blade. The human from a few seconds ago came running back, but the Scorpion Orc moved out of the way and slashed the man across the back. As he fell to the ground, dead, the Scorpion Orc looked for his next opponent and let loose a roar before running off to fight.
But it was for naught as the Scorpion Orc's army was defeated and driven out. An orc and their warg fell to the ground dead as his leader and comrades walked into the barren wilderness. The Scorpion Orc stopped before looking back with a shake of his head and then continued onward with his warriors.
Balin: After a vicious campaign which lasted for seven long years, the Scorpion Orc and his army was defeated and driven deep into the Forbidden Wastelands of Mordor.
The orcs and men trudged on covered in wounds and their heads hanging from their defeat. They walked on for many days through the wastelands. The number of soldiers started to dwindle after many days of walking through the harsh lands. As he walked amongst his fellow warriors, the Scorpion Orc stopped to look up into the sky with a grim frown when an eagle screeched from above. He kept a stoic face before continuing on with the others.
Not too much longer, the majority of the army had fallen dead to the heat of the sun. A human warrior fell dead against the black sand and was soon followed by an orc as he died and rolled down the side of a hill.
Balin: One by one, they slowly perished under the scorching sun…
Until only the pale orc himself was left alive
But the Scorpion Orc still lived, though he too began to feel fatigue as he kept walking through the wasteland. He started to stumble as he walked and his eyes slightly drooped as he kept going. He made his way into a cave within a mountain, but when he made it to a ledge he fell onto one knee. The pale orc could feel his life starting to fade.
Balin: Near death, the Scorpion Orc made a pact with the Dark Lord Sauron.
The pale orc looked up to the opening at the top of the mountain and prayed in Black Speech. He promised Sauron his service if the dark lord would help him live and continue to conquer.
Balin: That if Sauron would spare his life and let him conquer his enemies, he would give him his soul.
A small black scorpion crawled up onto the ledge and towards the Scorpion Orc. The pale orc looked down at the small creature and warily reached down with his good hand. He took it as a sign that Sauron agreed to the pact. Grabbing the struggling scorpion, the pale orc grunted in pain as it stung him. The Scorpion Orc bit off its head for sustenance, causing the scorpion to squeal.
Balin: Sauron accepted his offer and spared his life.
Suddenly, a red light came from below the Scorpion Orc. He looked over the ledge to see lava flowing and smoke rose up into the air. Racing outside, he saw a giant cloud beginning to form over the land of Mordor. He watched in amazement as being started to emerge from the ground. They seemed to look like orcs, but the Scorpion Orc could tell that they were much more. A grin formed on the pale orc's face before he threw his head back and let out a triumphant roar as his plans would come to light.
The Scorpion Orc once again attacked the city where his original army had failed. But this time instead of an army of men and orcs, he now had an army of Uruk-hai. These dark warriors were a crossbreed between orcs and goblins, for they had long hairs atop their scalps like goblins, but the physique of orcs. They all wore a piece of armor in the name of their dark master. As they attacked the city, they searched, attacked and killed all the Free People who stood in their way. One knocked a she-elf down with the back of his hand while decapitating the head of a dwarf. The Uruk-hai stepped on the body of the dwarf after it fell. The dark warrior looks down at the corpse as his lips peeled back and let out a savage roar.
Balin: Sauron gave the Scorpion Orc command of his Uruk-hai army, and like an evil flood they washed away all that lay before them.
Many of the Uruk-hai warriors flooded through the city and attacked whomever they could find. Fires were started and blood stained the ground. Some killed one of the Free People on the spot, while others were dragged to cliffs and thrown off. Those falling screamed as they fell to their deaths. Structures fell because of the warriors and the fires while the waters of the city ran red with blood.
Balin: When his task was done, Sauron forced the Scorpion Orc to serve him for all time.
The Scorpion Orc had a dark grin as he looked about the destruction that his new army had caused. While he turned a full circle, he didn't notice a beam of light come from the distance down up on him.
The Scorpion Orc started to feel his new master's pull as his soul was forced from his body. Both his body and soul screamed in pain as they body shook. His body continued to shake and it made the bracelet fall off of his good arm. The bracelet tumbled on the ground as the Scorpion Orc's body fell onto its face.
Balin: His army was returned to the dark sands from whence they came,
The Uruk-hai warriors continued to run through the valley before they were called back.
One Uruk-hai warrior roared before turning into black sand and disintegrating on the wind.
Balin: Where they wait, silently, to be awakened once again.
(End of track)

The dwarves all muttered in shock, surprise and slight awe to the tale. Balin then said, "Well, that's enough tales from me."
None of the other dwarves stopped him as he got up from his seat and walked out of the room.

Author's Note: And the fourth version is done. And yes, I know that isn't how Azog came to working for Sauron, but this is a story that worked its way into my noggin. And sorry if it wasn't long, but not much was gonna be growing in Mordor anyway. But hey, I did make nice use of Mount Doom, huh? I look forward to reading your reviews. Be sure to leave a comment either about if I've done something wrong or if you want something specifically to happen. See you next time. See you all later.
