Azure King: Well, this has been in my bucket list for while. I am a fan of the series and it was relit when playing the Digimon Cyber Sleuth and rewatching the series I had to do this to get it off my back so to speak. So I hope you guys like it.

CHAPTER START!

In a series of large grassy mountains, majestic beyond any natural beauty was two beings standing up top of one particular mountain top. It strangely had a smooth and slightly leveled flat top compared to the others. It was oddly poetic for the two to find a peaceful moment after all that has happened to them. For a moment they look around before sighing in relief that...that it all ended in the best case scenario.

"I remember up until then." The first to speak was a giant figure, clad in white armor from its head to torso and down to its legs. Its arms on the other hand were odd, the right arm was made from blue metal. The shoulder had three spikes out for protection and needed offensive use, moving downwards instead of a hand, it was a wolf shaped gauntlet that the mouth held a giant cannon! While the other arm was just as odd and unique, it was orange colored metal, with the shield being on the shoulder almost in the shape of the sun. Instead of a wolf shape gauntlet it was a dragon one, with a large heavy double bladed broadsword coming from the mouth. Written on the flat of the blade was orange markings, that no human can translate. On its chest was a glowing orb that symbolizes this new form. This...this was Omegamon X.

He turns to his friend when finishing his words, taking a moment to take in his looks after what has happened between the two and the events that have transpired as well. The friend of Omegamon X, is giant like himself, but different entirely.

Like Omegamon X, this being was clad in red and white armor. Almost designed to be a gallant noble knight, small parts of gold armor was also in its body. Its shoulders had the same design unlike its allies' two unique ones, red and gold shoulder guards. On its right hand was energy lance pulsating from a red and white generator. And the left was just as impressive, it was a large circular shield that was intimidating for its enemies as it was assuring for its user. It was covered in gold and red metal with a single blue orb in the middle of it where three crystals were connected to it as it sharply protruded three spikes for added offensive capabilities. On its helmet were two red horns that spike upward towards the back and in between the two was a single white horn that had a long golden tuft of hair elegantly blowing in the breeze. The knight cladde in white, red, and gold armor was Dukemon X.

He turned with a small nod, "That Lord-" He stopped himself shaking his head trying to rid his mind of any respect for that being. "That Yggdrisil was also as desperate...as the rest of us…" It spoke softly understanding, if only a little margin, of its reasoning. The fact that facing that end, was enough to do what it had to. But to even face it, he couldn't agree with the horrors it has done. Dukemon X, took a moment to breath out. "I think I am finally understanding the reason behind the Project Ark..."

Omegamon X only stayed silent but spoke when it grew too long that way, no doubt his friend was waiting for him to ask if he wanted to know himself. "Please...tell me." He asked softly, trying his best to understand why this had to happen.

"Our Lord, Yggdrasil, generally intervened with this world." Dukemon X started staring into the new world that they achieved, "However just like the Digimon themselves, it grew too complicated and thought it could 'fix' it." He gave a soft chuckled thinking on how laughable the idea seems to be now speaking out loud.

"So is that Project Ark?" Omegamon X asked, thinking that the reasoning would lead to that conclusion.

"That is likely…" The red knight stated, not absolutely sure on its own answer but still confident to at least speak it. It could still be a new unknown idea that both of them could never achieve of thinking… "However, our Lord didn't have the power to carry out the duty itself. That is why it created those Experimental beings,"

"In the end we were nothing but pawns?" No hint of hate, anger or even sorrow came from Omegamon X's words, just the need to understand. All this...because it didn't have the power instead of asking them? Its own knights?

"It's just as I said…" Omegamon X turns his head when he hears a hint of laughter mix with the knight's tone. Like explaining the irony of a bad situation, "Yggdrasil was desperate too, just as you and me wanted to live out of desperation...It just couldn't think right in that state of mind."

Omegamon X lowered its helmet clad head, slightly dawning the meaning of the words, "Just like all life has this desperation to live…?"

Dukemon X nodded, but looked at the horizon, "Perhaps we'll discuss more on the subject when we find our comrades...but for now…" His eyes shifted into a more please and happier style as it saw from hundreds of miles… a scene to make its battle worn heart sooth from the nightmare they were in. "From now on, they could be happy even if it's just for a while."

Its friend nodded as it too saw a pair of Digimon who finally reunited from the events that happened. "This...is what our Knighthood should protect…" Omegamon X softly muttered once again proud to be a Royal Knight.

THIRTEEN YEARS LATER

"Yo! It's time for us to end this, fool ya fool!" A dark skin teen with shaggy white hair at the age of 13 said with his hand flying out gestures trying to sound cooler. He is wearing a purple t-shirt, long red sweatpants, a silver chain necklace with a bull symbol on the chain, oval shaped sunglasses, and yellow birkenstock sandals.

Standing in front of the dark skinned teen was a light skinned teen with yellow-blond spiky hair at the age of 13. The blond has blue eyes and a unique characteristic of having three whisker markings on his cheeks. He wears a blue t-shirt with orange/red flames, long gray pants, blue and red shoes with red semi-fingerless gloves. He also wears blue wristbands on both of his wrists. The blond could only facepalm at his quirky friend's actions. "B, you shouldn't she'll beat you again."

"No way Naruto, I got this!" The dark-skinned teen said. "I'm close! I can feel it!"

"You said that the last time as well." Naruto said as he shook his head.

"NORN! I HAVE COME TO BEAT YOU~!" The dark skinned teen said with enthusiasm completely ignoring the blond.

When they opened (more like kicked the door open by B) they saw an ethereal young woman tilting her head in confusion. She is a pretty fair skinned 13-year-old girl with white hair and red eyes. The front of her hair has two long bangs going past her shoulders and several loose bangs hanging over her forehead, while the back has a short bob cut. She wore a Gothic Lolita attire, which consisted of a black Lolita dress with white frills, a large black bow on the front with a green jewel embedded on the collar, white thigh-high socks, and black shoes. She was writing math formulas into a small leather notebook as she turned to see them.

"Oh B-San and Naruto-kun…" The red eyed girl smiled sweetly to the latter who waved to her, "What do you need from me?"

"You know what I want!" B grinned. "Today's the day I finally beat you in a game of chess!"

The blonde shook his head, of course, the 8th smartest student would challenge the number one student of the country…to a game she hasn't lost yet. He was setting himself up for doom before it even started.

"Naruto, might we chat as I beat B-san?" She asked gently, unable to register B's painful look of shock from being casually brushed off.

"So cruel…" B groaned, falling on his hands and knees.

"Sure~" Naruto said as he took out a bento box, "Orochimaru and Tsunade made us extra meals for after school. Along with ero-jiji, they don't have time to make dinner later. So wanna go to the street market to get our meals?" He asked her to pass her a red and white box, as it showed white rice with spots where chili oil soak into it, next was a salad with fried chicken. Her usual meals were just simple and delicious.

"Alright, hmm but we could cook together to compensate for our usual shortcomings, check." She said hitting a timer as B panicked from being so close to losing in barely a few moves. "But okaa-chan left me tons of takeout menus too."

"That's fine, I don't mind." Naruto shrugged it off, taking out his food to be the same thing but gave a deadpan expression when taking out a shining piece of eel in between his chopsticks. "Orochimaru splurged on my meals."

"Dude give it! I love eels!" B begged trying to take the eel from Naruto's chopsticks.

"Hey, hands off!" Naruto snapped, moving the piece of food away. "Get your own eel!"

"Oh come on, while the school food is a rockin, your pale ass guardian food is a knockin~" The dark skin complained while rhyming as he played while steadily losing. "Aw man, that ain't right! Naruto, I thought we were tight!"

"Ain't isn't a real word…" Norn pouted as Naruto chuckled in her usual manner that certain words shouldn't be real words.

The sunglasses wearer pointed at the young man, "Ey, you shouldn't be making fun of how I talk, because at the end of the day I know how to walk the walk!"

"Oh really." Norn said, before moving a chess piece. "Checkmate."

"..." he looked down and gapped at the sudden move. "AWWW MAN,"

"I told you. You didn't want to listen." Naruto sighed lightly at his friend. He just never learns.

"Well then I-" they stopped as a teacher came by, she had an odd look to see the three smartest students playing a game of chess. "Hello, Nanano-sensei." The girl bowed respectfully.

"Hey kids, you guys still here? Don't you know that school ended ten minutes ago?" She asked as they nodded.

"Sorry ma'am. We'll be out of here in a jiffy." B said, doing a two-finger salute.

"Was waiting for Naruto-kun." Norn declared as she stood up, "My apologies. "

"It's quite alright." Nanano said. "Just be sure not to leave anything behind when you leave."

The children nod as B stood first, "Aight, I gotta jet, big bro needs help at his BBQ place. Can't afford to miss as this is rush week. The more dishes I clean the better my allowance is with Big bro's check he gives me! I'll be swimming in cheddar! See ya~" giving them a double upside down peace sign, the two weakly laughed at his flamboyant attitude.

"Ehehe…he's really weird." Norn said.

"Yeah, but a good guy all the same." Naruto replied as he ate his meal with Norn before cutely shuddering when eating the particularly spicy rice. "Mmmh…so hot…" she whined as Naruto pass her a milk box.

"Here. This will help with the spiciness."

"Thank you…" she said before noticing something, she blushed as it was already used giving the less than usual weight and straw was in the box.

"Hm? What is it?" Naruto blinked at her.

"Nothing…*sips*..." she said gently while drinking the beverage, "By the way...are you sure entering that tournament is ok?"

"Yeah, of course." Naruto said, "Why do you ask?"

"Nothing it's just…" Norn said, as she stopped drinking.

Naruto nodded knowing why she seems so hesitant, "I know you don't like the concept of Digimon fighting, but remember it's not real and that even if it is this game is just that…a game."

"I know, but…Hmm, can't I convince you with this?" She said, offering a single piece of fried chicken.

"Hehehe…sorry, as much as your food tastes good, even I can't take that bribe." Naruto chuckled, as he took back the milk and drank it. Missing the blush the girl had, "Besides," he started taking a break from drinking, "You don't have to come."

She shook her head, "No, I want to support you."

"Well, okay. You sure?"

"Yes." She pouted, puffing one of her cheeks. "What kind of a friend am I if I don't support them?"

She only gave a proud nod similar to a certain red haired Berserker would, "Mh-hmm!"

Norn Mikihara, Naruto's childhood best friend and neighbor, since she awoke from a coma when being born. A miracle child they call her and soon once-in-a-thousand year genius. Math, science, and any subject that involved logic was mastered in mere hours. The reason she stayed in middle school was to be with her friend as anyone else was just to...well odd. She thought how people often change for different topics rather easily, or how they can enjoy such oddities like toys and manga when they can learn stuff like she could. Naruto was the only normal and safe person to be with. She befriended Naruto when he moved in from Kyoto, the two were inseparable because of their strong bond.

"Finished?" He asked, watching the girl literally licking (using her finger to get any leftovers) her box clean. She was shockingly dedicated to how much she needs to eat to give thanks for each bite no matter how small, another quirk of hers.

"Mm-hmm."

"Alrighty, let's get going."

"She's cute!"

"Think she's a player."

"No way, she looks like an ojou-sama!"

"Mmmmm…" Norn shifted around awkwardly as she was getting a lot of cat calls from the teens around her age or older, making her feel nervous. "They're all staring at me." She muttered sitting next to Naruto as the tournament officials allowed it as they believed she didn't know to play the game and was only watching without distracting the other players.

"Don't know why...I play AncientGreymon." Naruto smiled as he attacked and won the game.

"The winner…Naruto Uzumaki!" The referee called out, Naruto stood up and shook hands with his opponent who left with a small grumble. "Next match will be him vs Ryō Akiyama."

As the card players all started to talk about the possible winner of the upcoming match, Naruto and Norn just went to their side as the girl passed Naruto some bread from a local bakery they got on the way to the tournament. "You took a risk Evolvinging to AncientGreymon then the easier ones." She stated in a low tone knowing she'll be forced to move away if they hear her know the rules. And she wasn't ready to defend herself from boys without Naruto, "You should have used Agnimon to reach Aldamon with a Jogres. Warp Evolving is risky."

There it was~ despite her not liking the idea for her to battle with others she has the same passion for the game like Naruto does. She takes every decision for each turn with the utmost care compared to Naruto who he follows his guts. It's the reason she can't beat him and the reason he can't beat her.

Her logic and good choices often foils his good luck.

His amazing sense of intuition allows him to catch her off guard on his sudden good breaks.

They were the best enemies against each other as they can never get bored with going against each other. As the result is never the same until they both get a draw, which is VERY rare in Digimon card games, but it makes them better every time.

"Alright, so I'll go less show stopping and play like you." He smiled as the girl giggled at his exaggerated wink that followed. "So it's me versus that Ryō dude...I heard he hasn't lost a match."

The girl nodded hearing the words from the other teens, she could hear and correctly recall everything they said, "Apparently he uses hard striker Digimons." Naruto turned his head to her as she continued onwards, "Meaning he would probably skip Evolving and use Warping cards to get his best cards."

"Hmm so I better focus on my own getting there." Naruto concluded there were some pros and cons in Digimon Card Battles.

The first is to beat your enemy and send his data levels to overload, using one digimon at Training Level to beat your opponent and get the most damage to beat the enemy. Most if not all players need stronger digimon to beat the enemy, some can bring out more (max is three) to help out. So there are other facts like defense, special, and attack cards to give an edge to the match. Naruto always had a mixed bag in playing, never trying anything prenament as he is flexible when he needs to. The two watched as the other boy was already seated in the match chair, "Good luck…" Norn whispered as she quietly watched Naruto head to the boy he was facing off.

Ryō has lightly tanned skin, brown hair, and brown eyes. He wears white shoes with red accents, olive green pants, dark gray leggings, a blue-gray shirt, and ties a red bandanna around his collar. He looks overall a handsome boy just like Naruto, "Alright ready man?" He said lifting his hand to give the other child a fair fight.

"Yup." Naruto declared as he took it and shook kindly.

"Digimon Battle starts!" The referee declared as Naruto took his hand and smiled, "Due to the numerous wins that Ryō had accumulated. Naruto will go first."

"Draw!" Naruto said, taking out a top card from his deck and frowning. "Wait…" Something was wrong, he never had this card before…He looked at his starting Digimon, might as well. "Using a Special Card, Digi-modified." Naruto said taking out the standard Card Reader as it proves to show legal cards as standard in all tournament matches. "Double Evolution," As the reader shows the card was indeed real, Naruto placed two cards on his starting Digimon. "Let's get started…"

TEN MINUTES LATER

Naruto smiled as Ryō was too, the whole store was on their tiptoes and would win, "Omegamon Zwart attacks Mugendramon and with the Foresight skill card, you can't use attacks or respond with Cards."

"I lost…" Ryō said as he smiled, he was going to win if he could survive the turn but he took the chance to try to bring out Millenniummon...although that would've been irony at its finest. "You're just as tough as I remember…" A soft smile etched on his face as Naruto looked confused from his words. "Nevermind, good game and hope you see around Naruto." With one last handshake he left as Naruto saw Norn giving him a big smile, one more win and he can celebrate the tournament with Norn.

But he looked down and saw the new cards, how did they get in there?

"Next match starts!" Naruto still sat on his seat as he saw a young girl walking into the table. She wore a turquoise-turtleneck T-shirt with a broken heart on the front, with short button-fly blue jeans, red wrist bands, white socks, red steel-toed sneakers, and buckles around her waist and leg. He almost blushed on how cute she was. She gave him a dark look as he smiled at her, she was slightly weirded out on his reaction as they nodded when the referee started their match. "Naruto Uzumaki vs Ruki Makino!" Round one!"

"I'll go first." The girl stated as she placed a card on the field, "I Evolve Upamon into Armadillomon. End turn."

Naruto smiled. She is playing defensive…not good for her, "My turn, starting it off with-"

Everyone was on the edge of their seats as Ruki was easily handling Naruto's three best cards, Omegamon, Blackwargreymon, and lastly his Piedmon. "I Digimodify my IceDevimon with HyperWing. I can attack your Piedmon and game over."

Naruto sighed as he nodded, piling up his cards, he was going all out too fast as Ruki baited him when he thought she was going for the Neutral (None of the three major types of Digimon) route to not get hurt the first few turns. Then switch out to heavy hitters, she tricks him into getting out his usual types and hits him where it hurts. "Nice one." Naruto complimented earning another eyebrow raised from the girl as she shook her head.

"Being nice isn't going to help you." She spat out rudely as Naruto nodded.

"Yeah but…I got your number now…" Naruto said knowing her same trick won't work twice.

"Huh?" Ruki said in confusion.

"Second round began." The ref said as Norn giggled, while she wasn't one to see Digimon in any form get hurt. She knew that Naruto was taking off the kid gloves, he was very much a beginner when playing others not really used to cards and combinations he or she ever used outside their decks. But one of his best equivalents that got him to the same elite school as Norn and Killer B is…

"Warp Evolution." Naruto said, taking out his hand to summon his forerunner for damage. "MetalGarurumon and Wargreymon."

The fact he knows how people work after meeting them one time. Norn analytic saw how Ruki looked in shock dealing with two Mega level Digimon at the start, Naruto didn't even cheat by shuffling to get a good hand that's how incredible his luck is. "Now…let's take this from the top…"

"...Tch…" Ruki glared at her field as Naruto systematically broke down her best team by using Omegamon and Magnamon since the second start of his turn. "...I forfeit." She said knowing her turn wasn't going to anything to save her when picking up that last card.

"It's one on both sides." The ref said as Naruto smiled, he was actually bluffing a bit in all honesty. He was keeping his cards on hand in case he had to fight defensively, making Ruki have to do what he did and act rash. It was a risky choice as she could have done the same thing and beat him, but it secured what he knew about her. She was a hard fighter while she would go down swinging when she had a decent chance of victory but when meeting a certain bad end she would take it upon herself to quit. "Let's end this."

Oddly enough Ruki gave a similar smile to Naruto when he gave her one, "I intend to!"

"..."

"..."

…

D-Did that really happen?

"Uh…" Naruto looked at Ruki as she also looked confused. "I think we have a draw…"

"No winner..." The referee declared as well as confused… "I think…I need to call the company, wait here…"

"You…go ahead and do that." Naruto said, before looking at Ruki and gave an awkward smile while scratching the back of his head. "Uh…good game?"

"..." She stood up and moved away to the wall with the least amount of people.

"...She's not friendly." Norn said walking towards her childhood friend, "It's going to be the first tournament draw in the whole card game."

"Huh? Oh hey Norn." Naruto noticed. "Yeah, I guess so. I didn't expect it either."

"I think you did okay." Norn commented.

"Really? The match could've gone either way." Naruto stated as he didn't think that Ruki was that good of a player. If he didn't use that new card that snuck into his deck he might have lost outright in the third match, even though she didn't seem to know the card itself either. "I still don't-"

"Excuse me? I have the verdict!" The referee said as the teens all looked at him, "The game company allowed this ruling to be made...both Naruto Uzumaki and Ruki Makino are the first double winners of the tournament!"

The whole store went silent before they suddenly cheered as they dragged Naruto and Rika to the stand where they held the trophy looking odd from this event as the picture momentarily stunned them to commemorate the event. They looked at each other as the people slowly left. Ruki was the first to move, no longer wishing to be stuck in this place. She was able to leave the front of the store before turning back when the sliding doors opened, it was Naruto smiling at her. "What do you want?" She asked no doubt he was going to ask for a rematch or another card fight for the title.

"You were awesome! Are you coming back, I want to have another battle with ya~" He said with a grin, "I never had such a great battle, granted it was my first tournament and fighting other opponents so it was great either way."

Her eyes slightly widened in surprise when she heard his confession, she shook her head. "It's not like we're friends, okay? We just battle, it's not like some kid anime."

"I know~ but you have to admit it's hard to get any real challenges when we're on the top. And I can tell you want to see if you can beat me more than I want to beat you." Naruto stuck out his tongue as Ruki rolled her eyes at him...but he wasn't wrong. The draw wasn't at any means bad, given she was forced to give it her all to win. But even then she was close to having a good time when he kept pushing her into a corner to think something new than her usual winning strategies. She turned on her heels before walking away. "I'll think about it, I come here on Sundays if the mood strikes me."

"Ehehe cool~!" He shouted happy to get a new rival-

BOOM~!

He quickly enters the store to see Norn and the other teens stun to see the TV that owner has suddenly exploded. "What happened?"

LATER, NORN'S HOUSE

XXXXXXXXX

"So you're standing there watching me and Ruki talking and when I cheered that TV exploded?" He asked as the girl was repairing the TV (as she wanted to work on it for fun) for the owner in exchange for some snacks money. He placed down a large amount of take out food that they got on the way back, "That's weird."

"Indeed…" She muttered finishing the machine, "He has the other parts but it works now...I hope Mommy and Daddy don't mind me cannibalizing the DVD player for the spare parts."

Naruto looked to see on the coffetop was the poor remains of the dismantled DVD player that died for the TV second chance at life. "Well I'll help make an excuse." He chuckled as he scooped some orange chicken and fried rice on two plates.

He went to her side to pass their first part of their meal, "Hey, did any new sets of packs or decks come out recently?" Naruto asked as the girl pulled out her chopsticks. To turn her head to see what he means, he took out some cards as he laid them on the table.

She nodded not a second pass when her eyes already saw them and no doubt these were new cards. None that were even close to the lore of Digimon, "Two new Rookie Types...and...a bunch of new skills and support cards." She looked through them before stopping...as two blue cards were the last.

Naruto eyes widen, "Ok this is getting scary, I know for a fact those two weren't in there." He said as the girl rubbed her thumb over it...it was a simplistic card. A deep ocean blue color with a yellow Pointillism 'D' but where the empty space with blue creature, she deduced as a dinosaur if she had to be specific, coming from it. "Naruto-"

"On it." He said taking out their Card Readers to see if they were legit. "On three," The young man said as the girl got her card ready. "Three!"

KKKRRCK~!

"Whoa!/Oh my!" The two were surprised as the card was stuck as the electronic device started to smoke. Both suddenly booted up and showed large streams of numbers. "Wait…" Norn started looking at each sequence even though they barely stay for a fraction of a second. "What's...wait that algorithm is-"

Naruto hands went to scoop them up as he stuff into a nearby desk, "No Norn, I think they're broken and we need to wait until the battery is dead. He said knowing she would burn herself if it meant understanding the reason why pain resonates in the nerves...thankfully she read the reason so there was no reason for her to try. So having her only friend give a stern look made her nod in slight sadness on waiting on what happened. They ate slowly as the two were going to start on the rest of the food, although Naruto kept an eye on the desk he put the devices in to make sure it didn't start a fire. He looked up to make sure he didn't see any smoke and noticed something.

The clock, it was time, "Hey video call time." He said as the girl smiled widely as she sat next to Naruto. Soon he took out a tablet that had the school symbol, the school gave each of the student body a tablet for school work as it also doubles for many other mundane things like requests for school funds and even telling the school if they are too sick to go attend class. Soon two saw two adults smiling at them, a handsome japanese man with shaggy bread and brown short hair and women who look similar to Norn. White hair long in single bread that was over her shoulder and infront of her body. She smiled sweetly at the two, "Hello Barn." The woman greeted as Naruto knew that was for her daughter, it meant Child.

"Hej Mamma." Norn responded as she waved cutely as her father nodded to Naruto.

"Hello Uzumaki-kun, how's my snowflake doing?" He asked as the boy gave a thumbs up. Norn's family is a unique one, her mother Helga Blom, a scandinavian who moved to Japan in her youth, and her dad Takashi Mikihara were once friends turned lovers. Takashi was a traveling photographer who loved taking nature photos and his friend soon-to-be wife Helga is Consultant for many engineering projects. Helga put her job on hold for years raising her daughter until recently she continued when Norn seemed to be very self sufficient in taking care of herself.

Although having Naruto who was the more common sense of them was also a good sign along with his three godparents living nearby also helped as they checked on her too. They were no stranger to Naruto spending the night as his guardians often ask them to let him stay when their schedules weren't able to stay over a night or two. "You guys got some good food, dummy here bought the wrong type of fish...again~" Helga nudged her husband who whistled innocently.

"From Naruto's friend's restaurant, Tenten-san's chinese restaurant." Norn explained as the parents nodded, obviously the joke about her father wasn't registered as one for her. They knew for years how advanced her mindset she had so they were able to figure out slowly but surely when they could find a good joke for her to understand and now another one isn't. "I got the-"

"Sesame chicken, shrimp fried rice, and some pot stickers both steam and fried...and steam-fried?" Kurumi said, looking to see three rows of the last item.

The daughter nodded excitedly, "Yes~ Tenten cooked the bottom with a small amount of oil before pouring some water to steam the rest. The perfect amount of both worlds~!" She said as the two chuckled at her rare estuasism for new flavors to try.

"Well try not to eat too much, tomorrow is your day off." She reminded them as the woman told the school to give the two geniuses a break as they were being run ragged with projects, competitions and events for the school. The two golden children were going to crack if they did not get a break soon…

No way was she was hoping for a small romance between her darling snow fairy and the blonde aesir boy...man those folk stories are getting to her again eheh~

"So what has happened in school, tell me all about it~" Helga asked as her husband brought her and his food. Everynight no matter where they were, there was always a nice meal with the family, "And it seems something good happened to you, Naruto-chan." The exotic woman said giggling hoping that her dreams of her daughter falling in love would happen soon.

"Awaa~!" Norn yawned cutely wearing a black and white set of pajamas as she lay on her bed, before going to the side to see Naruto below her also wearing a set of a black and white pajamas. "You sure the floor is okay with you?" She asked as Naruto was laying on the ground with a futon that was next to hers.

"Yeah, Granny says we need to stop sleeping in the same bed or something bad happens…" Naruto shrugged as the girl titled her head to the side. What could be bad sleeping in the same bed?

Naruto smiled, passing her a small cookie, "Sweet dreams?"

"Banned…"

"What~?" Naruto cried out looking at her annoyed look at his lame joke, but smiled when she nodded to him.

The two slept quietly...until one had a dream…

Fading vision of Naruto standing with arm injury as he looked around, "Where is it?!"

"NARUTO!" Norn's voice sounded scared. "What's going on!?"

"I don't- Shit!" He screamed when a large explosion came as two giant shadows came from it! "We can't- gahhhhh!" The young man shouted as he spun to the ground.

"NARUTO!" Norn shaking him, "I-I think something downstairs!" The young man's eyes open to see his friend shaking him softly.

Naruto nodded, shaking the sleepiness out of his eyes as he looked for an object to use, he grabbed his card scanner and also a small pipe that he keeps in her room in case of emergency. "Get something too." He announced as the girl looked around and saw her Scanner and pillow. They walked out of her room to see total darkness but Naruto knew nothing was there. Slowly moving towards the stairs to see the bottom slightly glow from most likely the TV. "Stay here…" He whispered to the young girl who shook her head. "Norn-!"

"No, strength in numbers!" She whispered harshly as Naruto didn't argue but quietly moved down the stairs...soon when reaching down he motioned the girl to move down as he scouted ahead...to see nothing. He turned around before standing up and shrugged, "I think you left the TV on…" The young blonde said, rolling his eyes to see Norn giving a shake of her head.

"I didn't…" She whispered scared that something that wasn't supposed to happen...happened.

"Maybe me, who cares- *Crack*" Naruto looked down to see fragments of what seem to be an...Egg? "What the-" He stopped as the young man felt hot air coming from the side of his face. He stared into a large beast with purple fur on most of its body. It has two large legs and two arms, each of which has three black claws, as well as a large, vulpine tail. The fur on its chest, paws, snout, and the end of its tail is white. It has two pointed ears with black stripes and two very small black wings. On its brow is a triangular red gem. "Clever girl…" Naruto whispered as he knew he was caught...watching as the monster slowly opened its mouth.

"Hello," The young man fell back in surprise to see that creature speak. As it...smiled to Naruto, "Are you the one who needed me?"

"Uhh...Norn?" He asked moving back inch by inch, "We might want to call animal con-" he stopped to see she was also moving back stun as another monster was in front of her. Way more odd than his, this one was Shogi theme with samurai black armor and purple lining to keep it together, almost literal name of the Promoted Rook (竜王 Ryū-ou?, lit. "Dragon King") chess piece. And like the other one it also had a red gem on its forehead, "My Lady...I am Ryudamon I shall protect you with my life...I swear that I will forever be your shield."

The purple beast also seemed to nod as well, "Oh right, hey mister! My name is DORUmon! Nice to meet ya!"

The two looked at each other before Naruto took out his deck that he had in his pocket and passed the girl the new card he somehow had in his deck…

They were Digimon!?

"Ah!" Naruto and Norn gasped out when a bright light came from the desk, the two quickly (but carefully watched the two Digimon) as they pulled out to see two objects among the various things inside...but it wasn't their card readers...but a new device.

It was a large silver device with a small square screen, they had a large ring (black for Naruto and Bronze for Norn). Near the bottom left of the ring was an orange button and near it near the bottom center was a white button with two buttons in the same color as the ring on it. The same color strap was on the device…

"...Great I'm pretty sure this voids the warranty for the Card Reader…" Naruto deadpan as Norn eyes sparkle for such a wondrous thing to happen. She'll spend the whole day therozing on this...wait but also actually Digimon!

OOOOOOH~! This was so fun and…

Naruto rolled his eyes. Norn was going to have a field day, but he looked at the two Digimon. How did this happen?

I will use the Japanese Version as I am rewatching the Jap Dub as English so good mostly due to my fav VA Steven Jay Blum, but it might be more mature with their version and explain things better.
