"Come on, Deku," said Kanon Ikeda, a classmate of Izuku. "Why don't you use your quirk to stop me? Oh, wait, you're quirkless."

Tears came to the young five year old's eyes as he thought, 'I wish I knew why they picked on me.' He felt a strange pressure in the back of his head, and his vision went dark for a split second. When he regained his sight, he was looking at his collapse form. Panicking, he realized that he was in control of Kanon's body. His vision grew dark again, and he found himself back in his body.

"What just happened?" said a confused Kanon as she shook her head.

"I just got my quirk," said Izuku before he began muttering. Kanon couldn't understand everything, but she could hear the following words "Possession, two seconds, leaves me defenseless".

"Did you do anything?" asked Kanon. 'If I had a quirk like that, I would use it to get back at my bullies.'

"I was too busy panicking to do anything," said Izuku as he stood up. "Besides, I wouldn't do anything bad."

"Why not?" asked Kanon, curious.

"Because that wouldn't be heroic," said Izuku. "I want to be a hero like All Might. Someone that can make people feel safe just by being there". Kanon was about to say something, but her father called her name. As she was leaving, she heard Izuku's name being called by his mother.

On the way home, Inko listens as her son went on and on about his quirk. Unknown to Izuku, Inko was only half listening. 'Possession? Could that be that guy's quirk?' "Well, why don't we have katsudon tonight, my little hero?" Izuku cheered in excitement. Inko thought she saw him turn yellow, but shook it off as being tired.

(Tomorrow)

Izuku was a little upset that Kacchan was still sick. He wanted to show his classmates his quirk, but he knew that Kacchan would never forgive him if he were the last to see it. Izuku also heard that Kanon was also sick, so he was worried that more people would get sick. "Mom, can we visit Kacchan and Kanon?"

"Sure, I can give her father my work while we're visiting."

(At the Ikeda residence)

"Midoriya-san, what are you doing here?" Asked Kanon's father, Yōta.

"My son heard that Kanon was sick and wanted to visit to wish her well," answered Inko, "and I figured that I could give you my work while I'm here."

"While I'm sure she'll appreciate it, I'm afraid that I can't let you see her," said Yōta with a sad smile.

"Why not?" asked Izuku, confused.

"For some reason that no one can explain, my daughter lost her quirk or can't use it," explained Yōta. "And I don't want the same to happen to your son." Inko gasp and quickly but politely said goodbye.

(At home)

Izuku and his mother are their suppers quietly as they thought about what they learned. "Tomorrow, we'll get your quirk register." Inko looked up from her plate and was surprised at what she saw. "Izuku, you're blue." Izuku was confused until he looked at his arm. Surprised, he watches as his skin turns back to normal. "Mom, I think I took Kanon's quirk."

For those wondering, Kanon's quirk allowed her to change her skin color based on her emotions. The main pairing will be Izuku x Jiro.
