"Why, why did all this happen? WHY DID THEY DO THIS TO ME!"
A blur of yellow was running through the emerald forest at a breakneck pace, not looking back, until it stopped for a moment to take a breather.
That blur was Yang Xiao Long, the "Y" in Beacon Academy's team RWBY and the school's one of a kind fist throwing, pun slinging party girl, but if you'd look at her now, you'd see that she's anything but all that.
Right now, she was a sobbing train wreck, her beautiful lilac eyes were bloodshot from all her crying and tears, and her fiery blond hair, which she took great pride in taking care of, was so disheveled that sticks and leaves were sticking out of it.
It all started at the first round of the singles round at the Vytal Festival tournament, she was successful in beating Mercury Black fair and square and was about to walk off the stage, at least until Mercury pushed her and launched an attack at her from behind, she was able to stop the attack, but was forced to shoot him in his leg in order to properly stop the attack.
Only problem is that everyone who "saw" her do the deed immediately booed her.
She saw the recording and it was like what SHE saw never actually happened, and when her team got disqualified because of her...
"We got kicked out of the biggest tournament on Remnant because of your outburst." Weiss yelled at her.
"Just what were you thinking, do you have any idea how this is going to impact our future?" Ruby screamed at her.
Yang was shocked that she had to hear such things from her own teammates, but turned to Blake for some kind of hope. "Blake?" She practically begged.
Blake looked at her for a slight moment, but turned away quickly, shattering what hope Yang had.
Remembering all of that was enough to make her reach into her pocket and pull out a picture.
It was a picture of her team taken shortly before the Vytal Festival Tournament began, Weiss was on the far left, with a sincere smile painted onto her face, Blake in the middle right cracking a vaguely noticeable smile, Ruby on the far right punching the air with her right arm with a toothy smile on her face, and Yang herself on the middle left, making V shaped signs with her hands, winking with her left eye, and smiling a toothy grin.
She began to tear up again as she turned the picture around and read what was on the back.
"To team RWBY, the best team I could ever hope to be on."
– Yang Xiao Long
"Damn it..." She whispered hoarsely as other memories began flooding her head.
The brawl she had at the bar with Junior, the time when team RWBY killed that one Nevermore before the team was officially made, the over the top food fight, and the defending of Beacon during the second semester.
All of this was enough to make her scream in anguish and rage and tear the photo in two without hesitation and grind it under her heel. "WWWWHHHHHYYYYYYYYY!" She screamed.
She fell to the ground and cried more, and she wanted to cry even more, if it weren't for...
"OVER THERE!" She heard the loud voice of Ironwood himself nearby and, in a blind panic, started running deeper into the forest, but the sound of her running didn't go unnoticed. "DON'T LET HER GET AWAY!" He ordered.
"How did they find me, they're going to catch, what will happen if they catch me, what if they..." She assumed the worst and picked up the pace, but in her blindness of fear, she tripped on a fairly large rock onto the ground, and to make things worse, she scrapped her knee in the process. "AAAHHH!" She yelped in pain.
"There you are!" Yang turned around in fear to see Ironwood and a platoon of soldiers slowly walking towards her, with the soldiers surrounding the perimeter to ensure that she wouldn't escape more unharmed than she is now.
"Yang Xiao Long, you are under arrest for breaking out of house arrest." Ironwood said in a low voice.
"No..." Yang whispered in the second most amount of fear she felt in her entire life, she backed away desperately with her hands, but it was useless, she couldn't run anymore, she couldn't hide anymore, and she couldn't fight back without making things worse for herself.
She closed her eyes and braced for anything, until...
"LRRROOOAAARRRD!"
"GRRRRRRIIIEEELD!"
Her eyes snapped open at the sound of two wolves howling weirdly, and all of the sudden the sky and area surrounding her was draped in a red and blue light.
"What the hell?" Ironwood swore, until the light burst upward and blocked out Yang's entire sense of vision.
"AAAAAAAAAHHHH-" She screamed in fear until even the sound of her screaming was blocked out.
Everthing in her vision was completely white, but she could make out some voices in the white void.
"Who is she?"
"What happened to her?"
"She's injured, let's get her out of here before something bad comes along."
There were voices floating around her head, saying things in an echoed voice, all of the sudden her vision became black and she was straining to open her eyes.
"Aaauuhhgg..." She groaned as she felt pain all over her body.
She heard the sound of a young female voice gasping. "Hey, she's waking up."
"Oh, thank Arceus." A young male voice thanked.
"What..." Yang wondered whom the voices belonged to until two thirteen-year-old kids came into her sight.
The one on the left was a boy with red spiky hair with yellow streaks in it and red and cloudy grey eyes, wearing a red T-shirt, black shorts, and red and grey sneakers with white socks, and a red bracelet wrapped around his right wrist.
The one on the right was a girl with long red hair tied in long pigtails and cloudy grey and red eyes, wearing a pink T-shirt, grey shorts under a white miniskirt, pink and white sneakers, and a pink bracelet wrapped around her left wrist.
"Hey, you awake, miss sleepy?" The boy asked.
"You were in one heck of a state when we found you, you know." The girl told her.
"Wha... what do you mean?" Yang asked weakly.
"You don't know, you were in bad shape when we found you in the wild area." The girl told her.
"Yeah, you looked like a packs worth a Linoone attacked you." The boy commented.
"Yeah, we're lucky that our Gardevoir was able to teleport us back to the villa in time."
The terms they were using didn't go unnoticed by Yang. "Wild area, Linoone, Gardevoir?" She asked.
"Huh?" The kids both raised an eyebrow in confusion.
"You know, the big area surrounding Motostoke and connecting to Hammerlocke." The boy said.
"The best place to find Pokémon of all kinds, including those two I just mentioned." The girl told her.
The words that sounded like locations eluded Yang as one word in particular piqued her interest. "Poké... mon?" She wondered aloud.
The moment she said those words, the kids were shocked. "Don't you... know what a... Pokémon is?" The girl asked.
Yang shook her head in even more confusion then when she woke up, but then remembered that flash of light that appeared around her when she was about to be arrested by Ironwood. "Wait a moment... that light, maybe that light... and those strange howls... what if..." She thought to herself and turned to see that the two kids were discussing something amongst themselves.
"Um... excuse me." Yang got their attention. "Where exactly am I?" Yang asked.
The kids looked at each other before nodding. "You're in a Villa near the town of Postwick of the Galar Region, ever heard of it?" The boy asked.
"Galar Region, Postwi-" Yang was getting up to repeat what they said, but fell back onto the pillow she was laying down on as her back started aching.
The kids rushed over to her side to check on her. "Take it easy, you need to rest for now, you're acting like you came from a different planet or something." The boy told her.
That comment got Yang thinking. "Hey, do you two by any chance know of a guy named general Ironwood?" Yang asked.
This got the kids even more confused, the girl answered. "No, not in the slightest."
"I haven't either." The boy added.
This left Yang completely baffled, as there was barely a single soul on Remnant that didn't know about the general in question, and what the boy said earlier might actually... "I have to find out..." Yang forced herself upright and tried getting out of the bed she was in, even though it was painful and aching to do so.
"Woah, where's the fire, girly." The boy said in response.
"Please, can you take me outside, I need to figure out what is going on." Yang said desperately.
The boy and girl looked at each other, until the door to the room they were in opened. "Kids, are things alrig-" The sound of a strong male adult voice stopped when two adults walked into the room. "Huh, you're awake." The voice noted.
Yang looked in the direction of the voice and saw two adults, about thirty years of age each, peeking through the door.
The first was a guy that looked no smaller than six feet tall; he wore a black business suit with a white undershirt, a red tie, black shoes, and black-rimmed glasses with clear lens.
The second was a women of a fairly normal height; she a white dress with a skirt that went down to just above her ankles, white heels, and two sets of two black bracelets around each her wrists.
"What's happening in here?" The women asked.
"It's the girl we found in the wild area, she wants to go see the outside." The boy told the adults, making them quirk an eyebrow.
The adults were supporting Yang by her shoulders and were escorting her to the balcony that was connected to the room they were in. "Well, here's the outside." The male adult told her.
"Anything you recognize?" the boy asked her.
Yang couldn't believe her eyes, the land she was seeing right now was completely unrecognized by her.
There were plains of grass flowing in the fresh breeze, lakes with beautifully clear water, and the strangest parts were that there were strange creatures roaming all over the place, from sheep with so much fur on their bodies they were rolling all over the place, pigeon-like creatures flying through the air, and blue... things popping out of the lakes with lily pads attached to their backs.
The scenery was beautiful to Yang, beautiful enough to make Yang forget about the reason she came out here. "Woah..." She muttered.
"You've never seen a view this before?" The Women asked.
This snapped Yang out of it as she responded. "Um, no... I..." She couldn't finish that sentence before she heard something from above.
"TALOOOONNNN!" She turned to the sky to a flock of red and grey birds with black and yellow wings and tail feathers, and yellow-clawed feet flying above the villa she was in.
"Wow, you'd only see Talonflame in the Galar region near the Isle of Armor." The girl noted amazed.
"Maybe they're simply migrating to that place?" The boy theorized.
Yang saw how the birds looked and noted that they didn't look anything like any bird from Remnant, she sighed and spoke up. "I guess that settles it." Yang said.
The four people around her heard this and wondered what she meant by it. "What do you mean?" The man asked.
"What this means is that I'm..." The camera focused on the Talonflame's eyes as they blinked twice and flew higher up in the sky and one of them blinked. "In a world completely different from my own." The camera then zooms out to focus on the land as Wooloo baaed to the sky.
(One month later...)
It has been one month since the day Yang made her declaration of being in another world and even she had a hard time accepting it, but she eventually adjusted to the fact three days later and since then began to learn about the world around her with the help of the first four people she met in this world, which she got the names of.
The boy was named Kai, the girl was named Rina, the tall man was named Sora, and the woman was named Diana, all of which were members of the Sentolia family.
She learned all about the world she was in from the twins Kai and Rina, including the fact that there were tons of creatures populating it called Pokémon, sapient beings of mystical abilities that could strike with power to crush mountains, and harness the elements in a multitude of ways.
The places that these Pokémon exist in were called regions and the region that she was in specifically was called the Galar region, a place where people and Pokémon coexist in fairly normal harmony.
In turn, she (reluctantly) told them about her home planet and what caused her to be in the state they found her in, they were shocked to hear this, but sided with her cause they, in their words "found no signs of lies in her eyes".
"So Yang, I'd say you recovered just fine, right?" Sora said to the blonde.
"Yeah, and all thanks to you guys." Yang said in gratitude.
"Don't worry, it is Sentolia family member's duty to assist those around them, that is our motto." Diana said while pouring a cup of hot tea for Yang. "I must say, I never expected you to be from a another world that doesn't have Pokémon." Diana told Yang.
"Yeah, I never would have thought a world like this even existed up until now." Yang said to her.
"Maybe, but still though, I can't believe that your own teammates would just up and stab up and the back like that, they're no better than a rabid, angry Hydreigon." Kai said angrily.
"We know you still can't believe it, you've been saying that for the past month. Now will you please stop with that topic already, I'm pretty sure th-" Rina was interrupted by Yang.
"Don't worry about it, Rina, he's only expressing his thoughts." Yang said calmly.
"Oh, um, okay." Rina said, slightly blushing for some reason.
"So, have you adjusted to life in this world?" Sora asked her.
"Yeah, fairly, though I haven't exactly been able to leave the villa in all that time." Yang answered.
"Don't worry about it, you can come along with us on our journey if you want to see the world." Kai said, not missing a beat.
Yang was told that when a kid makes it to the ten years old, they're applicable to go out into the world and be a Pokémon trainer. Yang was shocked to hear that ten year olds were traveling the world to try and utilize the power of mystical creatures like the Pokémon, but when she learned that they hardly ever die from it, she eased up on the subject.
"Thanks for the offer, I think I'll take it." Yang said with a smile.
"You know, the two of you have your birthday coming up next week and that birthday is fourteenth one, the, day we promised to you two that you'd be allowed to go on your very own Pokémon journey." Diana told them getting the kids attention. "Maybe, during your journey, Yang COULD come along with you, as a trusted guardian perhaps?" She wondered.
"YEAH!" The twins cheered in joy.
"That would be awesome!" Kai said loudly.
"Yeah, Yang is amazing to hang out with." Rina said hugging the blonde.
"Thanks, Rina, that means a lot." Yang thanked the young girl.
"And when you get a team of Pokémon, you'll show those jerks back "home" what for, am I right." Kai stated with air quotes.
"Don't even think about it, literally, the last thing I want to do is go back there at all." Yang said with a huff at the end.
"Right, sorry." Kai said pressing his index fingers together.
"Don't fret now, they're just excited is all." Sora told her.
"Right, gotcha." Yang said in understanding.
"Not to mention that it took a lot of hard work, but we were able to get Champion Leon, Chairmen Rose, and all ten of the Galar Region's greatest gym leaders to come for your party, along with some of all our friends and family." Sora said gesturing to the family.
The kids gasped in excitement and began hugging each other while jumping up and down. "YEEEEAAAAAHHHHH!"
"This is going to be the greatest birthday ever!" They both cheered.
Sora smiled at the sight, and leaned next to Diana to ask her something. "What about the surprise." He whispered in her ear.
"Don't worry everything is all set up on that department.
"Right." He nodded, before looking at Yang. "And Yang." The blonde looked at him. "We look forward to having you there as well." He said with a smile.
Yang was confused only for one second before catching on; she sincerely smiled before speaking up. "Thank you." She said to them.
"Are you positive that this was a good idea?"
"Yes, I'm sure of it."
"But she's a being from another world, how do we know that this will work."
"It will, it must, it is the will of Arceus, after all."
"But still..."
"This isn't up for debate any longer, we must go along with this plan, and see it through to the end... or the end of all things will be upon us."
...
This one is another story I got permission to write from SaurusRock625, it's a story I got the idea to write when starting a new file of Pokémon Shield, so fun fact, that story will be an identical retelling of my play-through of that game, with some distortions thrown in there because why not.
Now get ready for my next chapter, cause even I'm not sure whats it's going to be.
And yes, some of this story parallels the anime High School Prodigies have easy in another world, but hey, it's a good anime, and I'm hoping that this will be a good story, just like I hope the same for my other stories.
Also, I'm considering rewriting the first chapter of "The Fallen Dragon's Flight", but only to change the archetype that Yang's was going to use in that story.
P.S. Again, thanks to SaurusRock625 for permitting this story to be possible, he's a really cool story writer.
