It was a cloudy day, at school. The Stride Gate had closed for good and the world has gone back to normal. Our heroes of Team TRY3 sit on at the outdoor table having lunch together, however, the red-headed Chrono has his face buried in a text book. "ARRGGH!" he groans as he ruffles his hair.

"You seem stressed." Shion, the blondie, tells him as he sips his tea.

"You think?" Chrono replies in an annoyed tone.

"You've been staring in that text book for a while now," Tokoha, the green haired girl, explains, "and you've barely touched your food."

Chrono looks up at his teammates with weary eyes. "I've been flunking in math class…" he explains.

"Are you talking about Mr. Yamada's class?" Tokoha asks, "I'm not surprised."

"I've got a test coming up next week," Chrono continues, "and if I don't pass it, I'm gonna have to retake the entire course, meaning I can't graduate to the next grade."

"So, you're just going to have to study hard." Shion tells him.

"But the thing is, I can barely understand any of the stuff he says in that class!" Chrono explains as he buries his face in his arms as he slouches on the table, "How am I supposed to pass the test if I don't understand half the stuff he's saying?!"

"Well have you considered getting a tutor?" Shion asks him.

"A tutor?" Chrono questions as he looks up at him.

"Someone who's good at that particular subject and can help explain things to you more clearly than the teacher." The blondie explains to him.

"But I don't know anyone who's good at math." Chrono replies in annoyance.

"I'm good at math." Tokoha tells him and Chrono looks up at her.

"You serious?" the red head questions.

"Yeah." She tells him, "As tough as he is, I've been getting "B"s and "A"s in that class."

"Way to rub it in…" Chrono groans and Tokoha giggles nervously.

"So, if you want, I could tutor you."

"You'd do that for me?" Chrono asks.

"Of course," she replies with a cheerful smile, "I mean we are friends, aren't we?"

Chrono thinks about it for a moment and smiles back at her and says, "Okay. Thank you, Tokoha."

She smiles and asks, "How about I come over to your place after school and help you study?"

Those words daze Chrono a little bit, he had never had a girl over to his apartment before, but since Tokoha's his friend, it shouldn't be too bad. "Sure, that's fine." He tells her. Meanwhile, Shion watches them discuss their plan and smiles.

Opening Theme – ROAR (A Certain Magical Index 3 OP 2)

After school, Chrono waits for Tokoha at the front gate of school, and once she arrives, they make their way to his apartment. The sky had gotten darker over time and the two of them pick up their pace to avoid getting caught in the rain, but soon, it came without warning. A large rain storm came washing down on the streets, and on them. "Crap!" Chrono exclaims. The two of them pull their bags over their heads to slightly protect them from the rain.

"You didn't bring an umbrella?!" Tokoha asks in a panic as the two of them start running through the mist created by the rain.

"The forecast said the clouds would clear up, so I didn't think I needed one!" Chrono defends himself. "My apartments not that much further, let's just make a run for it!" The two of them run fast, trying to stay as dry as possible, but it just ends up getting them wetter. They eventually arrive at the apartment building and take cover under the walkways of the higher floors and then breath a sigh of relief, knowing they're out of the rain. "We made it…" Chrono says.

"But now we're soaking wet." Tokoha says as she shakes her arms to get some of the water out. The two of them were about as wet as if they jumped into a pool with their clothes on. Before heading up the stairs, they take a moment to wring their clothes out so that they aren't dripping as they walk up the stairs.

They arrive at Chrono's apartment. He pulls the key out of his pocket, unlocks the door, and they walk inside, leaving their wet shoes by the door. "Phew," he sighs, "we made it."

Tokoha looks down at her wet clothes in disgust, "If you had brought an umbrella, this wouldn't have happened."

"I'm sorry okay?" Chrono complains and Tokoha sighs in annoyance.

"Where's your shower?" she asks and Chrono shows her to the bathroom. When he leaves, she begins stripping down. "It feels kind of weird stripping in a different place…" she thinks to herself. She first pulls down her leggings and then her skirt. She unbuttons her wet shirt and lets it plop on the floor. "Thankfully, my bra and underwear didn't get super wet, so I can put them back on." She observes as she goes to unclasp her bra, but as she does, she hears the door open behind her.

"Tokoha…" Chrono calls out as he opens the door and they are dazed at the sight of each other. Chrono can clearly see her in nothing but her pink lace undies. The two stand there for a moment, unable to comprehend the situation, but when they realize what's going on, both of their faces turn as red as Chrono's hair.

"CHRONO!" Tokoha lashes out at him as she covers her chest.

"SORRY!" Chrono apologizes as he walks out of the bathroom and slams the door behind himself, "I thought you were in the shower already!"

"What were you even doing coming in here?!" she yells at him through the door.

"I was just trying to give you some spare clothes to change into when you get out!" he explains, trying to save himself.

There is no response, but then the door opens slightly and Tokoha pokes out her head, trying not to show anything below her neck, and holds out her hands saying, "Give them to me." With her cheeks still a beet red. Chrono gives her the clothes and she slips back into the bathroom, slamming the door and locking it. She places the clothes on the counter, then takes off her bra and panties and steps into the shower. As she's taking her shower, Chrono goes to change in his bedroom. "I can't believe that boy!" Tokoha says to herself as she rubs shampoo into her hair, "He saw me in my underwear!" she then looks down in guilt saying, "Though it is kind of my fault since I didn't lock the door, so I guess I'll let it slide…"

After she finishes showering, she dries off with the towel Chrono left with the clothes, and then changes into them. Once she's dressed, she steps out of the bathroom and places her wet clothes into the laundry basket just outside the door. At the same time, Chrono steps out of his bedroom and they lock gazes with each other. He can't help but blush seeing Tokoha in his clothes. The plain white T-shirt was a little big on her, but it really emphasized her chest, and the gym shorts were also slightly big, but at least they weren't falling off. "H-Hey! Don't stare at me." Tokoha says, turning away in embarrassment.

"S-Sorry," Chrono replies scratching the back of his head, "it's just… you look kind of… strange in my clothes." Tokoha doesn't respond and just blushes.

"We should get studying…" she says, trying to get out of the awkward situation.

"Yeah, you're right." Chrono approves. The two of them head to his room with their book bags.

When Chrono turns on the light, Tokoha looks around his room and notices how barren it is, "Wow, I didn't expect your room to be this empty." She says.

"I like it this way." He tells her, "The less stuff I have, the easier it will be for me to move out."

"Move out?" she questions.

"Yeah, I don't plan on staying here forever." He says as he drops his bag on the floor. "One day, I want to be able to have a place of my own. Live my own life, you know?"

Tokoha smiles at him and says, "Well, that's not really a bad dream. I'm going to study in Paris for the next year, so I have to become independent fast. As for you, you're already there. I could learn a thing or two from you." The two of them open their bags and pull out their text books, work books, and pencils. Tokoha puts her hands together and says, "But worry about the future later, right now let's focus on the here and now." Chrono nods in agreement. Tokoha opens a work book to a random page of problems, hands it to Chrono, and says, "Okay, do a few problems so I can see what I'm working with."

"Okay…" Chrono says as he takes his pencil and works on tries to solve the problems.

"And no rolling your pencil like you always do." she tells him and he glares up at her. When he finishes, he hands her the book and she checks his work, as a face of disappointment comes over her, "All of them wrong."

"I knew it…" Chrono groans in annoyance.

"It's okay, that's what I'm here for." Tokoha tells him and then starts trying to run through the problems with him and answering the questions he has. She sits next to him as she's going over the lessons and explaining things to him, but both of them occasionally have a hard time focusing because the other one is so close, with Chrono sometimes glancing over at Tokoha's emphasized chest, unable to look ignore it.

They study for a few hours as the rain outside continues to pour down. Tokoha gives him another set of problems as they lie on their stomachs. Chrono does the work and slides the book back to her and she checks his answers, swaying her bare feet in the air. "Eighteen out of twenty." She says with a smile, "That's not bad, you've definitely improved."

"Sweet!" Chrono says as he sits up straight.

Tokoha does the same and looks over at him, "Was I able to help you understand somethings a bit better?"

"Yeah definitely." He replies and looks over at her, "Thank you, Tokoha."

She gives him a warm smile and replies, "You're welcome, Chrono."

He smiles back, but then looks at the time and is surprised by what it reads, "Holy crap, it's already 8 o'clock!" he exclaims.

"It's that late?!" Tokoha replies in shock too.

Chrono nods and says, "Yeah, and the storm's not letting up." As he looks out his bedroom window to see the dark night sky and the rain coming down. He looks down, struggling to say what's next, but he then asks her, "Um… since the rain isn't stopping and our clothes are still in the wash, would you be okay with… staying the night?"

Tokoha is stunned by his request and her cheeks turn a bit red. She hesitates in answering, but tells him, "I mean… it's not like I have a choice…" as she fidgets with her hands in her lap, "Like you said, I can't go anywhere in this rain and my clothes are still wet…"

"So… is that a yes…?" he asks and she nods. His cheeks turn a little red too, knowing a girl is going to be spending the night with him. "A-Alright, I guess I'll go get dinner started." He stands up and leaves the room, "I-In the meantime, make yourself at home."

"O-Okay." She replies, standing up as well and stretching. "I can't believe this… I'm actually going to be spending the night with Chrono…?" she thinks to herself and her cheeks get redder. At that moment, she starts feeling a strange sensation in her chest. She places her hand over her heart, as if it had just skipped a beat. She tries to ignore the feeling and says, "I better text my parents and tell them what's going on."

During a very awkward dinner, neither of them said a word to each other, as they were too nervous of the fact they'd be staying together tonight, all the while, the feeling in Tokoha's chest grew, to where it wasn't just her chest anymore, but now she was feeling it in her whole body. As they clean their dishes after dinner, Chrono notices Tokoha acting different. "Tokoha?" he says to get her attention, "Are you okay? Your face is pretty red."

Tokoha hesitates, but looks at him, then looks away and says, "I-I'm fine… I'm just, a little nervous about staying together."

Chrono thinks about the situation as an idea pops into his head, "I know! Why don't we have a Cardfight?" he proposes and Tokoha looks at him confused, "It might help take your mind off it."

She thinks about it for a minute and answers with a weary voice, "Okay… let's try it." They finish cleaning their dishes and head into the bedroom where Chrono pulls out a playmat and the set up their decks and simultaneously declare "Stand up… Vanguard!"

The fight doesn't last long as Tokoha is unable to focus with her body feeling the way it is. On turn 7 Chrono declares, "Chronojet Dragon attacks the Vanguard (G3/26000)!"

"Damage check…" Tokoha flips over her card, and it's nothing ([][][][][][]).

"Are you alright Tokoha?" he asks, but Tokoha zones out for a second before registering what he said, "That fight was pretty half-hearted."

"I-I don't know…" she mutters, "My body feels… strange…"

"Strange how?"

"I feel… hot… but cold at the same time…" she tells him. He scoots over to her, puts a hand on her back, causing her to flinch and yelp a little bit. He then puts his other hand on her forehead as she closes her eyes.

"It doesn't feel like you're running fever." He says, "Does anything hurt?"

"N-No… I don't think so…" she says, stuttering a little bit. Her heart then drops realizing Chrono is so close to her. "C-Can we… sit on the bed…?" she asks.

"Um… sure." Chrono replies, blushing.

The two of them stand up and they walk over to the bed, but Tokoha stops and looks back at Chrono with her face even redder than before. "Um… can you also… turn off the lights?"

"Uhhh… okay…" Chrono replies, nervous about the situation. He walks over to the light switch and then joins Tokoha on the bed. They sit on the bed facing each other; Tokoha holds her arms and her breathing becomes heavy. "Now talk to me. How do you feel?" he asks her in a soft voice.

"I… I don't know…" Tokoha answers, starting to get a little upset, "My body feels really hot, and I can't think straight." her breathing becomes very sporadic and rough, inhaling and exhaling through her mouth.

"How long have you felt like this?" Chrono asks, starting to grow concerned for his friend.

"Since you told me we'd be staying together…" she says. Then there's awkward silence for a moment, with neither of them knowing what to say. Chrono tries to think of what could be wrong with her, but she looks up and mutters his name, "Chrono…?" in a soft and weary voice. He looks up at her to see her cute blushing face, lit up by the outside lights. She asks him, "C-Can you… hold me…?"

"Huh?" Chrono questions her request, "What do you mean?"

"You know…" she says, "just… hug me…?"

"You want me to hug you?" Chrono asks and Tokoha nods to confirm. He blushes and thinks for a moment, and then says, "O-Okay…" he scoots closer to her and wraps his arms around her neck, making Tokoha lose her breath for a second, but she regains it and hugs him back by putting her arms around his waist and on his back. They hold each other in a tight embrace as tears begin to flow from Tokoha's eyes.

They pull apart, still keeping their hands on each other's shoulders and Chrono asks, noticing her tears, "A-Are you… crying?"

"Chrono I…" she mutters, unable to speak her words. She looks into his eyes and her small tear drops with into full streams. "I… I want you to… kiss me…"

"What?!" Chrono exclaims, shocked by her request.

Tokoha then realizes what she said and shoves him off of her. "S-Sorry… I don't know why I said that, that was a dumb request…" she says looking away, tears still flowing from her eyes. She glances over at him as he looks at her very confused. "I… I don't know what's happening to me… I don't know why I feel like this!" she buries her face in her hands and starts to actually cry as she sits on the edge of the bed. Chrono thinks about what to do as he watches her cry. He then takes a deep breath, scoots closer and puts his arms around her again, and she looks at him once more.

"I-It's okay… what ever it is, I'll be here for you." He tells her in a soft and soothing voice. "Consider it me paying you back for tutoring me."

"Chro…no…" she stutters staying his name, as her breathing becomes more sporadic. They stare into each other's eyes for a moment, but Tokoha then looks away in embarrassment. "Chrono I…" she mutters, then closes her eyes and looks back at him saying, "I want you to kiss me…" she says without stuttering this time.

Chrono blushes and smiles at her request, but replies, "Okay… if that's what you want." They stare into each other's eyes once more, and then close them as they pull their faces closer to each other. Tokoha puts her arms around his waist and then… their lips touch. They are both immediately lost in the sensation as she squeezes him tighter. They slightly open their eyes to look at each other and rivers of tears now flow from her eyes. They close their eyes again and she now puts her hands on the back of his head and he does the same to her. They sit there in the each other's embrace as they slowly sway their bodies back and forth, pressing their lips together.

Tokoha's body now heats up even more and she starts to moan from the sensation of kissing him. "Mmmm mm mmmph…" As they start to run out of breath, they pull their lips apart and look deep into each other's eyes. Tokoha gives him a big smile and says, "Thank you… Chrono…" in a soft and quiet voice.

"How do you feel?" he asks in a similar voice.

"I… I feel amazing…" she says, "That was the most wonderful thing I've ever experienced…" she looks down and then back up and asks, "Can we… do it again…?"

Chrono thinks for a moment, then smiles and says, "Sure, why not? We have all night." He strokes her hair as they kiss again, but this time, they do it more passionately. Chrono pulls her down and they lie on the bed together, holding each other tightly as they kiss.

"Mmm mmmmmm mmph mmmmm mmph…" Tokoha moans as she they kiss. They pull their lips apart and together again repeatedly for what feels like an eternity. Until they finally pull apart. "Thank you, Chrono… for the best night of my life…"

"Do you feel any better?" he asks.

"A little bit…" she replies, "Maybe I just need a good night sleep."

"Yeah, probably so." Chrono replies. He pulls the blanket out from underneath them and pulls it over them.

"Chrono…?" she mutters.

"Yeah…?" replies.

Tokoha was going to say something, but decides against it saying, "Never mind." She then snuggles up to him and tells him, "Goodnight Chrono… and thank you… for tonight."

"Goodnight Tokoha, and you're welcome." He replies, as the two snuggle together and drift off to sleep, in a night they will remember for ages to come.

The next week, Chrono ends up passing his test and doesn't end up staying in 9th grade next year, and he ends up moving on to Harumi Academy just as planned, but now he has the memory of one of the best nights of his life, but Tokoha feels a little indecisive after that night…
