A/N: Well, I didn't think I would want to do another story for Cedfia Week but when I saw the topic for today it gave me another idea. Geez, why can't my creativity flow good with the stories I actually plan?!😂 Enjoy!

Wings of Love

"Cedric, what do you think of the idea of flying?" Sofia asked him as she pulled the sorcerer towards the cliff. If memory served her right about the spot she picked, it was the very same spot where Amber lost Aunt Tilly's wedding ring. Not only that but it also was the day she got to use a certain wand.

Letting his girlfriend pull him along, Cedric became more curious to what the girl was planning this time. "Considering the flying contraptions I built in the past. I guess I like flying. Why do you ask?"

"You weren't at Aunt Tilly's wedding so I thought I would show you this wand she had with her that day. Being her 'Maid of Honor' I even got use it so I thought you might find this cool." She said once they stopped.

He did do well with flying his inventions but given to what Sofia was referring to, the sorcerer wasn't sure how well he would do with this new idea of hers. "Remember when we went to Hexley Hall the first time? We saw all sorts wands that did different things so I wouldn't be surprised your aunt had one."

Realizing that he was right. Sofia let go of his hand and gave a disappointed look. He wouldn't be surprised at what she was going to show him. Being a sorcerer, he probably had learned about all sorts of different wands. "I-I guess we can just forget it..."

Seeing the sad expression she was giving, Cedric retook her hand. "I may have learned about all sorts wand but I don't think I ever come across one that could give the person the ability to fly. Why don't you show me." Cedric said as he gave her a smile to encourage his former apprentice to continue.

Hearing that she had caught his interest. Sofia pulled put the wand Tilly let her borrow and cast the spell on both of them. Once they both had their set of wings she put the stick back where she had it. "Come on...this is very fun." the princess said as she pulled him up in the air with her.

To the man's surprise flying with the wings he had were pretty easy. Deciding to not think on why so much, he flew around a few times to get use to the feel.

Watching the sorcerer enjoying himself made Sofia smile. In reality, she thought he was gonna be nervous on doing this but to see him with no fear at all made her think that he was finally more relaxed than he had ever been in a while. Coming out of her thoughts, the princess realized that Cedric disappeared.

Fearing that something might have gone wrong, she began to look around frantically until she felt a hand turn her around and a pair of arms embrace her out of nowhere!

Once the auburn-haired girl had recovered from her sudden shock, she looked up to find that Cedric was alright. "There you are. For a minute there I thought the spell came undone or something."

"Thank you for showing me this,Sofia. In all my years of studying wands I've always wanted to to try this type of wand."

"I'm glad you like it."

` Undoing his embrace he placed his hands on her cheeks, looked into her blue eyes and took in the silence he had created for both of them." I guess now I can say I've seen your true form but it's sad to see that you are missing your halo."

"C-Cedric, I'm no angel," She said blushing. "I'm not perfect."

"You are to me, my dear," Cedric answered back as he moved one of her strands of hair away from her eyes." You saved so many lives and redeemed some former villains. Heck, you even had to keep this devil from taking over the kingdom..."

The princess didn't know what to say to that. She would have argued but she couldn't argue with the facts he was stating. Instead, she just let him continue his speech.

"All I'm trying to say is that there are some rare times when people do find friends who are like that. I'm very glad I was able to come across one and get to claim her as mine."

Seeing that he had stirred up the tears in her eyes, Cedric gently wiped them away with both of his thumbs. With that done, he re-cupped her face in both his hands and leaned in to give her a gentle kiss as both of their wings enveloped them. Cedric's wings however turned black!

Ignoring the magical change he felt, Cedric decided not to worry Sofia or even ruin the moment. Instead, he pulled her closer and deepened the kiss.
