Life was unfair. This world was cruel. And all men weren't born equal. It was the truth to a 7 year old child on the verge of death. His life started happily with a loving mother, caring father, a kind sibling and a best friend he grew up with. He could remember the moments that he had with his family, every one happy, warm and bright. Yet the day he turned 4 was when everything fell apart. In the world he lived, quirks decided where you would be in society. Quirks manifested at the age of 4 for every human being in this day and age. Many used their quirks to become Heroes defending the innocent and fighting villains. Some used their quirks to assist in business and jobs. To have a quirk is to be considered human but not everyone manifests a quirk.

There are those who don't manifest a quirk or special power after turning four. These people were classified as Quirkless. 80% of humanity had Quirks while the remaining 20% was Quirkless. And to those who were quirkless, were considered lower than trash. Society had become unfair as quirks were held over a person's rights. If you were quirkless, then you couldn't find a job. If you were quirkless, you were ostracized by everyone you knew. Then you're bullied, picked on and abused without a single soul helping you because you were quirkless. This is what happened to Izuku Midoriya.

He was diagnosed as quirkless at the age of 4. His best friend became his prime tormentor, his sister became a bully, his mother neglected him and his father the prime abuser. He had been burned, whipped, stabbed, scalded and many other terrible treatments both physical and mental. He persisted and fought to survive. He refused to be broken by their hatred. Soon Izuku turned 7, his body was failing him but his spirit wasn't affected by the pain. Every obstacle they threw at him was conquered by his burning will. Izuku was going to become a hero and fix society. Sadly the world wasn't nice.

The boy had soon found himself in his home burning down. Smoke and flames were everywhere but his family was not in sight. He had to get out or be burned alive. He stayed low to the floor and ducking past flaming debris. Then his whole world was engulfed in a loud bang and burning hot fire as everything went black. It hurt. Every part of his body was in agony. He couldn't cry or scream for he was too tired and in too much pain. How could this world be so cruel to someone who couldn't help being born different.

He realized it wasn't the world but the people who were driven by bad examples of what a person was supposed to be. The corrupted led the masses like sheep and those they didn't accept were slaughtered or broken. The world never needed a pro hero. It didn't need a Symbol of Peace. It needed a protector, a teacher but most importantly it needed someone who could balance the light and darkness and teach right from wrong. A symbol of equality.

His mind soon drifted into darkness but for the first time after three grueling years of torture, he was held lovingly and with care. 'Wa…' A voice silently echoed in the darkness. 'Wake...up.' The voice spoke a bit louder. Izuku could feel a light in the darkness pulling him up. 'Wake up lad! Please!' The voice pleaded as the young boy reached for the light and grasped it.

The young child had slowly begun to open his eyes trying to adjust to the light in his eyes. His sight soon began to focus until he found himself in a cavern but it wasn't a normal one. The walls seemed to be mixed with old structures on the level of alien ruins but also a variety of stuff that looked like someone was using it as a lab/home.

"I'm glad to see you've made it. I thought I lost ya for a moment." A slightly rough male voice spoke as Izuku turned to see he wasn't alone. Standing by his bedside was a large beastlike creature. To the child he looked like a large wingless gargoyle, large and bulky with dark blue stone skin, large white tusks poking from his jaw, long black horns that curved before jutting up like spikes, a long mane of silver hair going down his back and forming a large bushy tail, large clawed hands with tufts of fur around the wrists, wolf like legs with large hand shaped feet, a slightly big round nose and the most expressive blue eyes he had ever seen. The large beast was in a white lab coat of sorts despite how worned out it looked. "Who are you?" The child asked before freezing.

That wasn't his voice. His voice was soft and had a higher pitch. This one was slightly deeper, a bit rough and had a hint of growling in it. He looked at the stranger who only gave him a sad look. "My name is Gaius Magnus and I'm a researcher. I was heading home when I saw a large explosion coming from an old apartment building. I ran in only to find ya unconscious and barely alive. Your body was too heavily damaged from the explosion and you were slowly dying. I…" The man or Gaius spoke before holding up a mirror to Izuku. The child's eyes widened at the reflection he saw before him.

This wasn't his body. Instead of a small boy with large green eyes, freckles and bushy green hair now stood a broken being made of stone and metal. His head was a large uneven cylinder that looked a cone without the point, a circular disk like piece of stone had made up his jaw, small pieces of dark gold formed his teeth and two large tusks, his hair was now triangular pieces of green and silver colored rock, his ears floating triangular stone pieces with gold tips, a gumdrop piece of golden metal to serve as his nose, his eyes being small dark green obsidian, his fingers and toes only being small dark green claw like pieces, broken light brown stone like the ones that made up his body were his arms and legs, greenish silver triangular prisms acting like shoulder and leg joints while finally at the center was a large golden orb with an emerald jewel that served as chest and main body.

His new form stood at 2'5 which was 6 ft shorter than Gaius yet a bit taller than his human form. "I had to transfer your consciousness into something that could sustain it so I could keep you alive. In the end, I had to place your soul into that chest orb and turn you into what you are now. A Relican or ancient golem." Gaius spoke somberly. Izuku looked at his hands and moved his new fingers as if testing his new body. He could still feel like the stone now became his skin. He could also still smell. He opened his mouth to see he had a pink stone shaped into a tongue.

"I programmed your chest orb to still retain all of your senses though there are still things you are required to do like in your old body. Sleeping and eating but that's to keep your chest orb still running." Gaius explained only to notice tears around Izuku's eyes. "Why? Why did you save me? I'm a quirkless nobody." Izuku spoke as his voice practically was trembling.

"I don't care if you're Quirkless. You are a living being! There is no reason not to save someone! Who filled your head with that garbage?" Gaius asked, surprising Izuku. "Everyone… My own family, Kacchan and everyone I've known. They laughed at me and bullied me for being quirkless but also my dream to be a hero. Can someone like me even be a hero?" Izuku asked his voice ready to crack.

"All of them are idiots. You don't need superpowers to be a hero. The will to help others without wanting anything in return. From rescuing people, community service and helping someone out whether through work or comfort. Those are acts of not just a hero but a true hero. Young child, you can be a hero. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise." Gaius explained giving Izuku a warm smile. Tears spilled down Izuku's face as he trembled.

His tears weren't of sadness but of joy as he cried. Gaius held the boy in his arms and hugged him lovingly. 'Poor lad. You've truly seen hell at such a young age. To still be able to cry despite being stone means you are still human. I'm not going to let you suffer anymore. This world needs a true hero and I'll be there to help you every step of the way.' Gaius thought comforting the boy.

Izuku had soon been adopted by Gaius after that. The researcher did everything he could to help the young child. Izuku soon began to get used to his new body and how it worked. It was rough for he fell or sometimes broke apart but Gaius was there to help him every step of the way. He taught Izuku many lessons from math, history, writing and a lot of subjects taught in school.

Gaius was amazed by the child's intellect and how fast he was learning. Soon he expanded Izuku's lessons from school level education into something more amazing. Relic Energy and Sunstones. The beastly researcher taught the child how to manipulate the energy in his body in a variety of different ways. From manipulating his body, objects around him, barriers, healing and even creating incredible techniques for in and out of battle.

Though it didn't mean Izuku never got in trouble. The young golem would sneak out of his home to watch heroes in action from rescue to fighting villains. Analyzing not just their quirks but they're moves and strategies along with any gear they used. The child was quite a builder recreating what he analyzed into a variety of tools and gadgets. On one of Izuku's explorations, he came across someone special.

It had been two years since Izuku was turned into a Golem. He would head out into town on a scrap run. Whether gathering junk to use for his inventions or batteries to eat for both their metal and any remaining electricity. He still had issues with clothing since his body wasn't really made for it. It only ended with ripped shirts, fallen pants and missing socks.

Though he wasn't entirely clothless. Gaius had made him a pair of stretchable goggles with orange lenses and a red scarf made of capture fiber. Capture fiber seemed to hold onto Izuku's body better than average clothing. 'Maybe I can make some clothing out of some Capture Fiber. Though it'll have to be fitted for my parts.' Izuku thought only to hear a cry.

It sounded like a girl and it was clearly in distress. Without any hesitation, he ran to the source of the commotion. The golem found himself at a playground and saw what was going on. A girl with pink hair was being bullied by his former best friend, Katsuki Bakugo. She was on the ground crying as Katsuki and his goons were laughing. "Why are you doing this?!" She cried out with tears in her eyes.

"You're just a pebble with that weak quirk of yours!" Katsuki laughed as explosions set off in his hands. "Leave her alone!" A voice called out as Izuku stood in front of the girl shielding her from the three bullies. "What kind of quirk is that?!" The large boy with wings asked in surprise. "Who the hell are you?!" Katsuki barked in rage.

"My name...is Knack! I ain't going to let you hurt her anymore!" Izuku shouted baring his sharp stone claws as if preparing for a fight. "Let's see if you can back up those words!" Katsuki howled as all three charged towards him. Relic energy burst to life around his body as his eyes shined a light blue.

'Relic Blast!' Izuku thought before shooting some of his parts at them in the form of blue relic energy enveloped projectiles. The blast had smashed into the three effectively sending them flying out cold. The girl had an amazed look on her face at the power he held as his parts returned to his body.

Izuku turned to the young girl and couldn't help but blush at how cute she was. "Are you okay?" He asked as he helped her up. He noticed her eyes looked like cross hairs that you see in scope. "I'm fine. Thank you for saving me. Knack right?" She asked as Izuku couldn't help but scratch his head. He came up with the name at the spur of the moment though it felt right. He wasn't his old self anymore. "Yeah. My name is Knack Magnus. What's your name?" Izuku asked.

"Mei, Mei Hatsume. Nice to meet you Knack." Hatsume said with a smile on her face. "I suggest you get out of here before they wake up. I can only use blast once before I have to recharge." Izuku explained. "Will I see you again?" Hatsume asked. "Sure! In fact, I was planning on going to UA!" Izuku answered.

"Really?! I plan on attending as well! I got an idea! Let's promise each other that we'll get into UA together. Doesn't matter what course we're in." Mei said with a smile on her face. "That sounds great! It's a promise. Before I go…" Izuku said as he pulled off his goggles and gave it to Mei. "I figure those goggles would help protect your eyes. They seem perfect for you." Izuku answered with a warm grin as there was a hint of red on Mei's cheeks. That day Izuku had made an extraordinary friend in Mei and forged a promise.

After that Izuku worked harder than before to prepare himself for UA. Gauis had made false documents so Izuku could have a chance of getting in without being considered an anomaly or suspected villain. Years soon passed until it came to the day of the UA entrance exam and Izuku was ready for what the future held for him. 'I'll see you soon, Mei. That's a promise.'

Years Later

The sun began to rise in the sky as a figure stood on the sandy beach of Dagobah. Izuku or known as Knack Magnus watched the sunrise sparking the water with it's light. Dagobah Beach used to be a trash heap until the young golem cleaned it years ago. Since Knack's body couldn't grow naturally like a human, extra parts were added to his body so he could grow normally. His form actually looked more humanoid and a bit filled like an athlete in structure standing around 5'11. His tiny claws were now larger with fingers and hands, his toes now having joints and all 5 toes though the fifth was in the back heel, he actually had more relics serving as hair than the few pieces so he had a punk like style and growing in size had given him white sclera. It made him feel more human than a stone puppet.

He figured out his huge wardrobe malfunction that wouldn't hinder his ability in battle or get him arrested for 'nudity'. Capture Relics, artificial relics he created using Capture Material and Sunstones. The pieces could form clothing that looked like the real deal but break apart and can be used in conjunction with his energy. He had set the Capture Relics to form a dark green tracksuit and white stripes. He still wore his scarf without changing it. "A brand new day and the beginning of a new adventure. I'll see you in UA, Mei. You can count on it." Knack spoke. His voice was a bit deeper and more adult like than a 14 year old.

UA was a very large highschool that could easily be mistaken for a mansion or military base from its size alone. Many hopeful students were going to take the Entrance Exam to see if they could get into this legendary school that all the top heroes including the Symbol of Peace All Might had graduated from. Knack was one of them walking casually towards the building. He received a lot of looks and stares from everyone around though it was natural. No one saw anything like him before. "Get out of my way, bitch!" A familiar yell came as Knack couldn't help but sigh. Apparently Katsuki was also taking the exam and he was taking his anger out on a brown haired girl with permanent blush.

Luckily Bakugo had walked away after that but one of those days, Knack was going to punch his teeth out. But now he had an exam to take. The Written Exam was very easy for the golem since he processed more information than his old human body which was something he still missed. Sure he was stronger but there were some things not even power or his new body could give. Soon the golem had found himself in the auditorium for an explanation on the practical exam. This was being held by the Voice Hero, Present Mic. "Hey everyone!! Can I get a yeah?!" The blonde hero shouted. "YEAH!" Knack shouted despite the strange looks he got though he ignored them.

"I like your spirit Examinee:7777! You sure know fun!" Present Mic answered energetically. He figured the Pro Hero was trying to get everyone excited so they wouldn't be overstressed by the Practical Exam coming up. "The Practical Exam will be a timed event held in our Mock Cities made specifically for these events. The exam will be timed with a 15 minute limit. Rules are simple. There will be 4 different types of robots scattered across the Mock Cities. Each robot has a point value from 1 to 3. Your task will be destroying these robots like a wicked guitar solo to rack up points." Present Mic earning nods from everyone.

Robots wouldn't be a difficult opponent for Knack since his golem body allowed him to hit harder and take some nasty hits without too much damage. He was drawn from his thoughts when someone called him out. "Hey you! The one made out of stone! You have not been paying attention to the explanation. If you came here to goof off then I suggest you leave immediately!" A blue haired teen wearing glasses shouted annoying Knack. "Hey jackass. I was coming up with a plan on how to handle the practicals. Not only calling me out but also interrupting Present Mic who was about to explain the Zero Pointer before you questioning his knowledge along with UA's on their own exam. I suggest you shut up, sit down and let Mic continue on." Knack explained effectively shutting up the teen.

The blue haired male sat down looking extremely embarrassed seeing his actions backfire in his face. "Thank you very much, Examine 7777! That robot is merely an arena trap meant to be avoided. You can consider it like the Thwomp from Mario which is invincible to nearly all of Mario's attacks and power ups except for the Super Star. Unless your extremely powerful, it's best to avoid and also because it's worth no points being defeated." Present Mic explained. Knack could obviously expect something like that to be in the example though why it was there felt off to the golem.

Soon the presentation was finished as Knack now stood out the gate to one of the Mock Cities. 'This place is gigantic. If I want I can go maximum size and have a lot of room still left to move around. But I'll do this with my current size unless absolutely necessary.' Knack thought to himself before noticing the brunette from before. She appeared to be nervous from the movement of her hands. Knack would have gone over there if it wasn't due to the boy from before wasn't watching him.

'Seriously? Did I kill your puppy to warrant that judging glare?' Knach had half a mind to flip the male the bird but merely glaring back with his large fangs bared in a snarl. That made the teen shiver before turning away in fear. His fangs were great intimidators just as they were great chompers. The steel beams Knack had for lunch yesterday was proof enough. Soon the gates opened as Knack took the opportunity to run in. 2 one pointers had jutted out of the buildings. "Kill!" Both screech in hostility.

The first was greeted by Knack's claws which shredded it from a single swipe while the other had a worst fate. Knack had bit down on its flat square head and brought his jaws together. *Crunch* A headless one pointer fell to the ground as its head flattened to practically paper nestled in Knack's jaw before absorbing it. The golem picked at his teeth before running off. "What are you waiting for?! There's no countdown in a real fight! Go before he gets all the points!" Present Mic shouted as the group followed suit.

Knack was demolishing robots left and right as he ran through the Mock City. He was running on all fours as he discovered years ago that his body had specific 'gears' it could set itself. His standard gear was Fighter which was fully balanced all around. His current gear was 'Beast' which granted him more speed and attack power when it came to his claws and bites. This particular gear focused Relic Energy into his teeth and claws forming them into long vicious blades.

He didn't hesitate to rip or decapitate any pointer that got his way much to the fright of some examinees. Though there was one thing he hated about his golem body for the practical exam. The idiots. 'For fuck's sake!' Knack thought, jumping into the air as he dodges a sickle of wind. One of the examinees had purposely labeled him as a 'bonus' pointer and Knack now had a small group of examinees on his tail. He meant literal tail as one of the examinees magnetically charged the arm piece of a pointer to his relic ass to try and slow him down.

He had 57 points at the moment but he can't get anymore until the idiots leave him alone. "That's it!" Knack snarled before he pounced into the air. He latched his claws into the side of a building before jumping off to get extra air. Then he exploded into pieces using his sunstone energy to blast his parts away from his chest orb. 'Sun-Destruct!' Knack thought before calling back his parts which had pierced a few 3 pointers while knocking the dumb examinees who were attacking to the ground from the shockwave of Sunstone Energy.

He shifted to Fighter gear before dusting himself off. Suddenly the ground began to shake as examinees began running away. A large shadow greeted Knack as he looked up to see a colossal tank green robot Kaiju wreaking havoc. "This is just too much!" Knack shouted seeing the ridiculous monster known as the Zero Pointer. He glanced around at the fleeing examinees but there were some who were trapped in the rubble from the bot's rampage. He had to do something.

"Dad is going to kill me for this." Knack spoke as the jewel in his chest orb began to glow as he channeled his relic energy. Soon spheres of energy began floating from the orb with each transforming into a relic. The staff of UA were viewing the exam in a hidden room keeping their eyes on any student of interest. Though all of their attention came to a single monitor consumed by white before it shut off. "That's from battle city B. Present Mic, turn on the backup camera." A calm and neutral voice spoke.

"Sure because you need to see this! It's a monster movie out here!" The shaky voice of Present Mic spoke as the monitor had now begun working again. The sight the teachers were greeted had sent shivers down their spine. In the middle of the mock city Knack was in and staring down the Zero Pointer was a giant stone monster. The monster looked like a cross between a man, Godzilla and a hedgehog.

Giant dark green spines jutting down the back which was consumed by verdant spiny armored back, large hands equipped with monstrous dark green serrated claws that glowed faintly, a long lizard like tail completely covered in green stone thorns, 4 large dark jade blade forming tusk like whiskers on the beastly face, golden outlined eyes with jade slits bore holes into the zero pointer along with the nasty snarl of giant golden serrated fangs and messy long mane of black and green stone.

The capture relic clothing surrounded the chest to form a large white star shape on the beast's chest. The giant stone beast let out a monstrous roar showing Knack had unleashed his Behemoth Gear. Behemoth Gear was something the golem rarely used for a variety of reasons. One, it was his most powerful and destructive gear by taking the shape of the mythical Behemoth, a powerful monster and ruler of beasts. Two he was very volatile and aggressive as animal instinct floods his mind to only manage simple thoughts. And three, he had yet to master it for it rendered him unconscious after use. However heroes must make sacrifices for others.

He glanced to the left where a large ball of green relics had attached itself to a building. Knack used his transformation to safely scoop up the stranded examinees around him before moving them to safety within the ball. "Protect." He spoke, voice animalistic, deep and vibrating with power before he turned to face the Zero Pointer. He snorted steam from his nose before letting out a roar of challenge at the colossal bot. The Zero Pointer propelled itself at Knack with the intention of overwhelming the behemoth.

He held his ground before grabbing the Zero Pointer with both hands not even moving despite the bot's momentum and weight. He shifted the end of his tail to form a fist before smashing it into the pointer knocking back while ripping the still gripped arms off. He got on all fours and arched his back. All the green shell on his back lurched forward now pointing at the armless Zero Pointer. "Eat this!" Knack roared before firing the stone shards into the bot with the speed of firing a minigun. The massive robot now being holier than swiss cheese crumbled pieces and scrap metal.

Knack let out a triumphant roar before exploding into pieces. The excess parts converted back into Relic energy as he returned to normal. He began to fall but swore he saw familiar crosshairs and pink before blacking out. He was there. The boy who saved her from those bullies years ago. Knack Magnus, she could never forget the adorable golem's kindness or gift. She took part in the exams to show off her inventions though it was different than the Practical many students took.

This type of Exam was similar to a Science Fair where one device would judge the spots they held to be in business or support. Her childhood savior was the inspiration for her invention and precious baby: Lockjaw, a self learning A.I and robotic helper in battle. Lockjaw had landed her into the top Support Class taught by the Hero Power Loader but also to view the Robot Pointers in the Practical Exams. But imagine her surprise when she saw a familiar bush of stone hair and the gold gumdrop nose.

It was Knack and he'd completely grown since then! She couldn't help but blush seeing him after so long. He was incredible as she watched him in action taking out pointers left and right but also dealing with the rotten examinees who tried to sabotage him. They were no doubt friends of the jealous participants who failed to get Power Loader's interest. Then came the Zero Pointer and his transformation into that giant from. She saw the terrified looks on most of the hero staff including that awful blonde skeleton. He was looking at Knack like he was the biggest threat in the world!

She wanted to go punch him in the teeth! That was her friend! The magnificent giant beast form her friend took not only awe inspiring but it felt like she was witnessing a guardian deity. She read the word 'protect' from his stone mouth despite no audio. Along with the stone sphere he made that safely took the examinees out of harm's way. She couldn't stay seated anymore. She had to see him! Running out of the room with some of the people looking at her like she was crazy but she didn't care. Her friend, her protector, her Knack was here. And Mei Hatsume was going to see him. Not even All Might himself was going to stop her.

Hope you folks like it! This is actually two chapters put together! Have a good week folks!
