So this is an attempt at an Avenger Newsies crossover. Most of the scenes are from the Avengers movies except with different characters. This is my first crossover so I hope this goes well.

Race looked around at the small building he was in.

"Should have gotten paid up front" he muttered to himself.

There was a little girl. She had said she needed help, her father was in danger. She said that she would pay him for it. Now he was standing alone in an abandoned building.

Behind him, a women came in to the room and leaned up against a table.

Race turned around and was met with Kathrine.

"You know, for a man who's supposed to be avoiding stress, you picked a hell of a place to settle." She said.

Race smirked. "Avoiding stress isn't the secret."

Kathrine smiled "Then, what is. Yoga?"

Race looked around

"You brought me to the edge of the city, smart. I eh... assume the whole place is surrounded?"

Kathrine shifted and told him "Just you and me."

Race gestured towards the window where the girl had disappeared.

"And your actress buddy, is she a spy too? Do they start that young?"

Kathrine froze before adding, "I did."

Race looked at her, she seemed familiar.

"Who are you?"

"Kathrine Plumber."

Race took a step closer. "Are you here to kill me, Plumber. Cause that ain't gonna work out for everyone."

Kathrine responded "No, of course not. I'm here on behave of the S.U.N."

Race froze " Da S.U.N., how did they find me?"

"We never lost you. We've kept our distance, even helped some interesting parties off your scent."

This surprised Race "Why?"

"Darcy seems to trust you. But now I need you to come in." Kathrine stated.

Race seemed to think this was a joke. He scoffed "And what if I said no?"

Katherine looked him in the eye. This was easier than she thought it would be. "I'd persuade you."

"And what if the... other guy says no?" This is what scared Race the most.

Katherine smiled. She had found his weakness.

"You've been more than a year without an incident. I don't think you want to break that streak."

Race put a cigar in his mouth. They always took his mind off things like this.

"I don't always get what I want."

This is not what Katherine expected.

"We're facing a potential global catastrophe."

"I usually try to avoid those."

Time table the palaver and get to business.

Katherine pulled out her phone to a picture that looked like a glowing blue cube.

"This is the Tesseract. It has the potential energy to wipe out the planet."

Race grinned. "What's Darcy want me to do? Swallow it?"

He was really hoping he didn't have to swallow it. He did not want a glowing blue thingy in him.

Katherine needed to get the point to him.

"He wants you to find it. Its been taken. It emits a gamma signature to weak for us to trace. There's no one that knows gamma radiation like you do. If there was, that's where I'd be."

Race calmed down a bit.

"So Darcy's not after the monster?"

"Not that he's told me."

"And he tells you everything?"

Katherine breathed in "Talk to Darcy, he needs you on this."

Race was losing it.

"He needs me in a cage." Race muttered

"No ones going to put you in a..."

"STOP LYING TO ME"

Race slammed his fist on the table. In the blink of an eye, Katherine had pulled out a gun from under a table and had it pointed at his head.

Race backed up surprised.

"Sorry, that was mean. I just wanted to see what you'd do. Why don't we do this the easy way, where you don't use that, and the...other guy doesn't make a mess? Okay? Kath?"

Katherine didn't lower the gun.

"Stand down. We're good here." She said into a earpiece.

Outside dozens of soldiers who had surrounded the building lowered their guns.

Race smirked "So just me and you, Plumber?"
