Ash sighed. He didn't know what to do. Now that Brock and Misty knew his whereabouts he could be caught and put on trial any day now. So he did the one thing he could do. Train.

"Pikachu use Thunder on Sylveon, Lucan use Close-Combat on Espurr. Espurr dodge and use Energy Ball on Pikachu. Sylveon use Attract!" He tracked his two versus two Pokemon battle. While all sour Pokemon were his it trained not only their skill but how quick Ash was to react and give commands.

"Sylveon follow up with Hyper Beam! Lucan use Poison Jab on Espurr. Espurr use Iron Tail! Pikachu use Iron Tail! Lucan use Psychic!" The battle continued with Lucan coming out on top.

"Pikachu. We need to work on getting your speed up. You are a Pokemon in which speed in greatly relied on. Espurr, you're a Psychic type yet your Psychic is sloppy at best. Sylveon we have to get you to learn another type of move. Three normal type moves for a Fairy type isn't good. I'll take a look and see what moves are best for you. Lucan, Espurr was able to dodge your Close-Combat. Don't let that happen again. Also your move set needs a revamp. Take some time to think about what I've said." With that Ash turned away to look at move sets.

I think Pikachu should learn something like Volt Tackle or Quick Attack. Espurr... where do I begin. A Psychic type who can barely float itself. We need to wok on that. Lucan can help. Speaking of Lucan. After he helps Espurr with Psychic he need to learn some new moves. Aura Sphere for starters. Sylveon needs to forget at least one move and add another type of move. Maybe Dark or Ghost would work.

Ash continued to ponder this. Before he knew it three days had past and he was standing atop Claw Mark Hill.

"Alright Lycanroc and... Rockruff! Start the calling!" Ash declared. He decided that Rockruff was good enough at howling to help.

Clemont chased after his hyper sister, Bonnie. The girl was running towards what seemed to be a Pokemon battle. When they broke through the clearing, followed by Misty, May and Max, they saw something incredible.

"Is this some sort of training ground?" May asked as she turned to Misty.

"I've never seen it before though... it does resemble something I heard Kukui mention last time I was here. Claw Mark Hill. Wait, look up there!" Misty pointed to a Pokemon battle- no- a fight between what looked to be to Lucario. One of them looked odd... almost... human! It was, a human fighting a Lucario.

"Is that?... Ash?" Max asked. May nodded, shocked.

"He looks so different from before though." Misty, and the other three, nodded. The battles continued. One was a battle between to Lycanroc, the Midday form and Midnight form. Another was a Rockruff and Magmar. A third was a Braviary versus another Pokemon Clemont didn't recognize.

Ash charged his Aura, striking Lucan in the back before the Pokemon could land an Aura Sphere on him. Ash smirked. In three days he had gotten his Pokemon in top shape. Lucan had helped Espurr with Psychic. After Espurr had gotten it down Lucan had forgotten the move and learnt Aura Sphere. Pikachu now knew Volt Tackle. Sylveon knew some other type moves.

Lucan swung it's leg, catching Ash off guard. Ash fell to the ground but just as Lucan went to strike him Ash disappeared.

"Master Ash? What-" Lucan was cut off by the stinging pain in the back of his head. Ash had just hit him with an incredibly strong Aura Sphere. "I yield Master Ash... Your Aura powers have grown impressively. You will no doubt best whoever stands in your way." Lucan bowed to his trainer. Ash nodded.

"Lucan, do you now if-"

"Ash?!" A voice called. Ash whipped around. Lucan tensed for battle. All the sparing Pokemon stopped and turned towards the voice, attacks charged. "Ash is that you?" It took Ash a moment to recognize Bonnie. Ash made eye contact with Lucan. Lucan understood, he dashed for the top of Claw Mark Hill. Ash faced Bonnie. It was then he realized she wasn't alone, Clemont, Misty, May and Max were at her side.

"Bonnie?" He asked, his voice slightly raspy. Bonnie perked up and grabbed Clemont's hand. "What are you... what are all of you doing here?" Ash's tone became accusing. No humans, save for himself, were aloud at Claw Mark Hill. "Look if you want something or need something now's not the time. This is Claw Mark Hill, other humans are forbidden to come here and may be removed by force if need be." Ash warned, gesturing towards the, about, thirty Pokemon.

"We just want to talk!" May declared. Ash scowled.

"Three problems with that! One: Not here, did you not hear what I just said! Two: I can't trust you after everything you did, idiots! Three: I can't leave these Pokemon alone, I swore to protect them and if I were to let one of the get hurt, aside from during training, then I'd be dead before Lucan could use an Aura Sphere." Ash narrowed his eyes at the five. Last time he saw Misty the girl wasn't exactly happy to see him.

"It's about your... your mother. Team Rocket as well." Ash laughed. It wasn't a normal laugh though.

"Now you think to look into Team Rocket!? NOW! After how long!?" Ash was yelling now. "Get out of my sight, now's not the time for this. I have a ceremony to commence." He glanced at Rockruff and both Lycanroc. The five were hanging their heads in silence. "Rockruff, step forward." Ash announced. The Puppy Dog Pokemon did so.

"Master Ash is this...?" Ash nodded to Lucan who smiled.

"Lycanroc, you two were tasked with watching over your pre-evolved form. Do you two think that this Rockruff is ready to evolve?" Both Pokemon shared a glance then nodded. "Then by the power of the stars I grant you your wish. Rockruff, you may now evolve when you see fit as a gift from the ancient Aura Guardians." The Lycanroc, along with all other Pokemon present, howled out into the night. Misty was surprised when her Pokemon, along with everyone else's, cheered with them.

The small Rockruff was surrounded in a blue light. It's tail grew longer and it's neck fur became puffy, it's brown fur turned orange and white. It's eyes an Aura Sphere blue. Rockruff was now a Lycanroc. The three Lycanroc let their calls be heard above the rest.

As the gathering came to an end Ash approached his former friends, all his Pokemon out and ready. Aerodactyl hovered next to Espurr who, thanks to perfecting Psychic, now could float. Pikachu stood on his head with Sylveon at his feet. Lucan was in front of his and slightly off to the right.

"What?" Ash asked, his temper clear.

"Ash look... we're reopening the case and-" Ash snapped.

"NOW!? NOW you reopen it? Not when I needed you all? Not when I said I was innocent? There was practically no investigation to begin with!" Sylveon nuzzled against his leg and he pet the Eeveelution.

"Master Ash, I know how you feel, I hate them to, but maybe, maybe we should at least let them speak?" Lucan suggested. Ash, with narrowed eyes, nodded.

"Brock, Serena, Iris, Cilan and Dawn went to Kalos to look for Team Rocket. To question Giovanni about the... case. We were wondering if... possibly, maybe you would want to help and would be willing to find Giovanni?" Misty said, guilt coating her voice. Ash growled a bit.

"Lu, Lucario cari, cario lu?" (Please, Master Ash, for me?) Ash's eyes softened. He owed Lucan his life for how many times the Lucario had pulled him out of trouble. He sighed the nodded.

"Only for you Lucan. Misty, I'll do it but only because I trust my Pokemon's judgment." At least, my currant Pokemon. Ash added silently. Ash flew to Kukui's place in the morning, on Aerodactyl, and told him he would be taking a break from Pokemon School for a while.

Brock didn't have much of a plan. The five of them would split up and search Kalos for Team Rocket. They put up wanted posters and asked officer Jenny for help. Brock had gone West, Dawn had gone South, Serena had gone North, Iris and Cilan went East.

(East)

"I can't believe that me might be innocent. I mean, he was almost killed. What do you think Iris?"

"I agree, Ash can be such a kid sometimes but that dead look in his eyes when the police said he killed his mother. He looked shocked and terrified now that I think about it. What were we thinking? All of us? Ash wouldn't do something like that. We thought that he would kill his mother in cold blood, lie about it, and more! What kind of 'friends' are we? I don't think he'll forgive us." Iris was almost crying, Cilan to.

"If it were any other person I don't think they would forgive us but.. it's Ash so I think that we have a chance to be forgiven. I'm not going to lie; it will take time but if we work hard enough I think we can all be friends again. Now, let's go-"

"Prepare for trouble from the skies!" Iris turned.

"From beyond the stars a nasty surprise!"

"An evil as old as galaxy!"

"Sent here to fulfill our destiny!"

"Plus, there's me!"

"To denounce the evils of truth and love!"

"To extend our reach to the stars above!"

"Jessie!"

"And James!"

"And Meowth are the names!"

"Anywhere there's peace in the universe!"

"Team Rocket!"

"Will be there!"

"To make anything worse!" Cilan had a sneaking suspicion who it was. (Also, yes, I used this motto cause' I couldn't find the Kalos one)

"Team Rocket! There you are! Iris, I'll call the others and tell them we found Team Rocket. You hold these three off." Iris nodded as Cilan dialed Brock. He picked up. "Brock, it's Cilan and Iris. We found Team Rocket. We're in the forest, come quick."

"Alright, I'll be there shortly. Call Misty and the others that went to Alola. I'll call Serena and Dawn." Cilan responded with an 'okay'.

Ash shifted on the airplane that would take them to Kalos. Misty, Ash, Bonnie, Clemont, May and Max had gotten a call from Brock a day earlier. The three original, Meowth, James and Jessie, had been caught.

When they arrived Ash and the others made their way to the jail. Ash had a hoodie on so that, even with his sunglasses, hat, and dyed hair, he wouldn't be recognizable. As Ash entered the building Serena, Dawn, Brock, Iris and Cilan came running up to them. They all paused when they spotted who the figured had to be Ash. The boy looked nothing like he did when they had last seen him. his usually black short hair was quite long and it was combed in a side sweep. Ash's hands, arms and face were scared and if his legs were you couldn't tell because he had a nice pare of Jeans on. He wore no gloves and his hat was mostly black. His eyes were what really caught everyone's attention. They were dull and an odd color of almost murky brown.

"A-Ash?" Serena asked. He switched his gaze to her. He didn't blink, not once.

"What." His voice was cold, almost heartless. The dark, deep, lonely sound was frightening. Ash used to be a bright, happy-go-lucky kid and now... this.

"What happened to you?" Dawn asked. That was it, Ash snapped.

"What do you THINK!" He yelled, clenching his fists. The Pikachu on his shoulder comforted him. Serena looked scared along with a shocked Brock, Dawn, May and Max. Misty, Clemont and Bonnie looked guilty. Ash had to restrain himself from growling and hissing.

"Pi pika chu, chu Pikachu chu pi, chu pika Pikapi!" (Please don't worry, I won't let them harm you, not while I'm here Master Ash!) Ash visibly relaxed at this, sighing. Serena took a chance and let out his old Pikachu. The Kanto Pikachu faced the dominant Alolan Pikachu. "Pi chu Pikachu, chu pika pi pika chu Pikapi! Pi chu chu pika chu Pikachu!" (Hey other Pikachu, you also hurt my Master Ash! Never do that again if you want to live!) It snarled. The Kanto Pikachu looked down in shame, then it looked up, determination in it's eyes.

"Pi chu Pikachu, pika... pika chu pi pika chu Pikachu ka pi pika Pikapi... pi chu pika chu, chu pi pika pi." (Hey other Pikachu, I... I want to rejoin Master Ash... please consider it, I beg of you to ask him.) The Alolan Pikachu, Ash and Serena's eyes widened. They were the only three, minus the other Pokemon, that could understand.

"PI CHU PIKA PI CHU!" (YOU DARE TRY TO GO BACK TO HIM!) The Kanto Pikachu flinched at the outrage of the Alolan other. Ash pet his new Pikachu.

"No. Not yet." Ash replied to the Kanto Pikachu. It's eyes were sad but in nodded. Serena looked ready to cry as she held her 'stolen' Pikachu. "Misty, Brock, who else did you tell about me?" He asked.

"No one else." Brock replied. Ash nodded slowly.

"Let me talk to those three Team Rocket trash." Misty nodded and led the way. They let Ash in and everyone waited outside. "James, Jessie Meowth."

"Who are you-"

"I'm 'the twerp'" He said with air quotes.

"Ash? The Twerp? What do you want?" Meowth demanded.

"Why did Giovanni do it? Why did he kill my mother!?" James instantly looked guilty.

"Well, all I know is that he did kill her, he told us about it. Though right now we aren't part of Team Rocket... we just like to think that we still are. You see, he ordered us to kill you and a month later we couldn't find you so he fired us." (HAHAHHAHA FINALLY!) Jessie, James and Meowth looked broken and Ash felt he could relate.

"How... how would you like to... to travel with me?" He asked. (Okay I get it but I'm making Jessie and James only about a year or two older than Ash in this) The X-Team Rocket members hesitated before nodding. Ash smiled slightly. "Alright, welcome to the team! I should show you Claw Mark Hill Meowth. You'd like it." Meowth perked up.

"Hey 'danks Pal." Meowth said. Ash simply nodded.

It was a few days later. Ash hadn't stayed another minute with anyone and went back to Alola with Meowth, Jessie and James in tow. He was on his way to Pokemon School with his three new companions who, all of which, had somehow made it into the Pokemon School. (He also told Kukui and the Alolan crew about his past, mom, Misty ect ect.) He took out a small picture of him, his mom, his dad and his brother. He put it away as he sat in his seat which was next to Lillie, James and Jessie. Meowth wasn't actually owned by Jessie and James and didn't want them to catch him so it was a shock when he asked Ash this:

"Hey Ash... I've been thinking. I want you to catch me." Ash was shocked. He pulled out a Pokemon and the other tapped it, sealing his fate. He let Meowth out.

"What does it feel like? In a Pokeball I mean." Meowth explained a few things. "That makes sense. Also, in the past I've rarely seen you battle, are you any good?" Meowth shook his head.

"I've never had proper training." Ash smiled.

"I can train you now." So he did. For the next week.

(now)

"Meowth use Shadow Ball go!" Ash called as his newly adopted Pokemon fought a wild Tauros. The other used Tackled. (I think it can) "Dodge then use Foul Play!" Tauros was knocked back by it's own strength. "Gunk Shot, use it. Finish this!" The Tauros fainted this and Ash went up to Meowth. "Great job, in about a week you've learned four new moves that are all amazing."

"Thanks Ash!" Meowth cheered. (Yes, Meowth still talks like a human) The boy nodded. Ash's phone rang three times before he picked up.

"Hello?" He was confused, he hadn't recognizes the number.

"Hello Ash." The voice was all to familiar to Ash. It can't be... the one who ruined my life and got me killed twice. Giovanni. "I suspect you convinced them of my wrong doings Ashy boy. If only they knew the truth. How, even though you didn't kill her directly, you worked for me. I should tell them. I also heard that the pathetic trio of Jessie, James and Meowth are with you now. How interesting things have gotten. Even though I'm in check it won't be long before they realize what's different about you. Red." Ash gasped.

"How do you know?" He demanded, confusing Meowth who could only hear what Ash was saying.

"Simple. Remember the Lost Incident?" Ash froze. He forgot about the files. He forgot about his real family. His real mom and dad. His real brothers and sister. His real life. Ash wasn't Ash. Ash was seeing Red. (DUN DUN DUN, get it?) "I've figured you out, you and Harvor that is. (Harvor is an OC) So what will it be? If you don't help me then I'll tell them all. The entire world! Alola, Hoen, Kanto Kalos and everywhere else will know about you. You can't hide Auravail. you can't hide. So what'll it be?"

Ash was debating between the two options.

"Fine! Call me back later, now isn't the time."

"Alright, Ash." Ash hung up and turned to Meowth who looked concerned

"You'll battle Pikachu next." He said. Meowth seemed to get it 'drop the topic' is what his eyes said.

"Alright. I just noticed something. All of your other Pokemon call you 'Master Ash' is it okay to just call you Ash?" Meowth asked. Ash nodded.

"It's fine, my other Pokemon do it out of respect. They all got it from Lucan to be honest. He started it. Lucan has called me Master since he was a Riolu before he evolved." Ash rubbed the back of his head in a rare show of emotions that weren't guarded.

"Pikachu, Meowth. This time will be different. You won't have any instruction from me. I will be assessing how well you do on your own." They nodded. Pikachu took action first, Double Edge. Meowth countered with Foul Play. Pikachu leaped backwards and, once it found it's footing, charged with Volt Tackle. They're doing good so far. Meowth figured that there was no dodging Volt Tackle. A Shadow Ball met with a Volt Tackle. The force of the blow sent Meowth flying. Pikachu was relatively okay. Ash knew that, if Meowth was smart, it could win in one more move. Pikachu on the other hand simply had to land a Thunder or Iron Tail. After all, Thunder was powerful and Iron Tail is a Steel type move which is strong against normal types.

Meowth leaped into the air and at the same time Pikachu mimicked it.

"Pi! Chu! Pika!" (Here! We! go!)

"Take this! Last Resort!" It called out it's own move. Ash smiled as the dust cleared and both Pokemon lay knocked out. Perfect. Now to call him back. Ash thought as he returned to two.
