Hi everyone, this is my first ever fanfic story. I really liked the idea of Barbara Gordon (Batgirl) and Bruce Wayne (Batman) together. I decided to change some of the ages to my characters so Barbara will be 21 and Bruce will be 28. I didn't really like the idea of Bruce being like 14 years older than her.

Just a disclaimer, I don't own any of the Batman characters and I am not-a-know it all in the Batman series.

Also, I am making a Pinterest account for all of my fanfiction stories but I'll let you know when that is up.

Thank you so much and please bear with me in this first story!

Here's the first chapter.

Disclaimer: I do not own any of the Batman Characters

Barbara POV

"Batgirl, we have a break-in at the Museum. Looks to be about three."

"I'm on it."

Every night's the same; chasing criminals, waiting for the Joker or the Penguin or one of the other stupid masterminds to leave a clue as to were their next attack would be. You'd think it would get quite boring quickly. I mean, who wants to get at max three hours of sleep per night and to be shot at, have people want to actually kill you because they can't seem to ever get the upper hand against you.

But the thing is, I wouldn't change a thing. Landing on the roof of the Gotham Museum I see I'm not the first one here. It's kind of hard to notice him, his full body covered in black and gray accept his mouth and chin, but my eyes always seem to find him in the dark.

I know, I'm the stupid girl who has a crush on Batman. But I just can't help it.

"What are you doing here Batgirl? Go home, you're not needed right now."

Despite the fact that his voice can make criminal piss their pants, I can't help but feel the powerful tremor that shoots through me.

"Well, Batman, Nightwing told me that there was some activity going on so I went after it. I didn't realize that we were claiming territories now."

With the roll of my eyes, I drop through the opening on the roof and silently land on my feet. It's nothing huge, just a bunch of thugs trying to steal the ancient jewelry held here.

"Let's get out of here before Batman shows up, I really don't want to go back to jail." One of them says, trying to rush the others.

I make my move, which is quite simple really. The first one goes down after a punch. The next one throws a jab which is easily blocked before I decide to put him out of his misery and break his nose.

The third member of their group goes running, carrying a bag with what a assume holds the stolen jewelry. I throw my Batarang at him, hitting the back of his head. I make my exit through the main entrance, not worried about being spotted.

As soon as the police get here I throw them the bag and take off. I'm sure I'll hear a mouthful about that performance from the boss back at the cave. Jumping between buildings, I can't deny how beautiful it is tonight.

The cool night air brings a calming feeling over me, saving me from my thoughts. The batcycle sits patiently in the ally I left, powering it up I speed back toward the cave. I think about what my next day will be like, looking forward to accompanying my Dad to the charity benefit we are attending tomorrow night.

I have a dress all set out for me and I'm ready to drink my way through stiff talks and attempting to avoid men that think that just because I'm a woman they have the right to feel me up in a dance. Finally reaching the cave, I park the batcycle in its designated spot and go look for Batman, knowing he's probably brooding somewhere. Sure enough, when I walk up to the desk that houses his massive state of the arch computer system, I see the black figure starring at me through white slits in his mask.

"Barbara, have a seat."

Let me know what you think. I know this chapter was pretty short but the next few will be better. Hopefully, it still wasn't too bad.

I don't know how often I'm going to update but it will be a week at the most in between chapters.

I think I'm going to make this like a 10-20 chapter story but I do have sort of a sequel in mind already soo.
