Yukiteru smiled at his sons, "Tonight," He spoke, "we are going to the theater."
Yumoto gasped as he clasped his hands together, "Really, papa?! We haven't been in months!"
Yukiteru placed a hand onto his youngest's shoulder, "Yes, you've been feeling better and it's almost Gora's birthday, so, might as well have some fun."
Yumoto giggled and Gora nodded, "Thank you papa…"
"This isn't your gift by any means," Yukiteru replied, "It'll just be us three."
"Did mama not want to go?" Gora questioned and Yukiteru shook his head, "No, this is for the three of us."
Yumoto smiled, "Ooh, I'm so excited! We haven't been out of the palace in so long!" He spun around in his uniform and Yukiteru stopped him, "Tonight, we all have to dress nicely."
"What's happening at the theater?"
"The God of Dance has produced a ballet for us."
"Ah…" Gora nodded, "I take it, the God of Song will be there as well?"
"Most likely."
Yumoto smiled and Gora looked at him, "Alright…we'll prep for tonight."
The two Hakone brothers walked away and Gora smiled, "Ah, a night out with papa, huh…"
Yumoto nodded, "I'm surprised mama is letting me out of her sight." He laughed and Gora rubbed his head. "Well, knowing mama, she'll have Epinard and Cerulean come with us."
"Ah…"
Gora hummed, "hm? Something wrong?"
"I just hope that no one stares at us…"
Gora shook his head, "They'll be more focused on me," He smiled, "I'm the God of Love."
Yumoto nodded, "Yeah…"
Gora rubbed Yumoto's head, "Which robe do you want tonight?"
"Um…the military robe?"
Gora nodded, "Alright. I'll wear my uniform to match, okay?"
Yumoto giggled, "Okay!"
Natsumi smiled as her sons walked over to the balcony for tea. "Glad you two decided to join me this afternoon."
Gora nodded, "Where is papa?"
"He's busy with his uncle. They're talking about demons again." She gestured to the table, "Sit, please."
Yumoto smiled as he sat down, "oooh! There's so many sweets this afternoon! Did papa get them from the mortals?"
"He did yesterday morning, yes." The orange-haired woman smiled, "Papa wanted to surprise you two."
Gora nodded, "Thanks mama." He grunted as he sat down and Natsumi giggled, "I bet you two are excited for tonight."
"Why aren't you going, mama?" Yumoto questioned as he stuffed a rice ball into his mouth and Natsumi smiled, "Ah, well I thought you two needed a father-son bonding time."
Gora blushed and Natsumi placed a hand onto his, "Dear, you especially need a break, don't you think?"
Gora smiled, 'Thank you so much, mama." He grabbed the white porcelain tea pot and poured himself a cup of the green tea. Yumoto watched his brother, who then poured him a cup as well. "Thank you."
Gora nodded, "Sugar?"
"Two please."
Gora smiled and Yumoto giggled as his brother handed his cup to him, "Thank you!"
Natsumi watched her sons and adjusted the hat she was wearing. Gora sighed as he felt a breeze. "It's nice out…"
Natsumi nodded, "Yes, it is."
Yumoto smiled as he listened to their conversation. He yawned as he finished eating. "Teatime is always so nice…"
Gora nodded, "How have your lessons gone today?"
"Sulfur says I have improved my English grade a little."
"oh?"
"Yeah, he says I spell things wrong still…but it makes no sense."
Gora nodded, "I understand, new languages are hard to learn."
"Yeah…I don't see why I have to know these."
Natsumi sighed, "Because," she began, "you are the next God of Love, dear."
Yumoto groaned and looked down at the courtyard, he smiled as he watched the guards training.
Gora looked over and smiled, "Yumoto, you know Araki isn't down there."
"I know, but it's nice watching Tamotsu train them. He's been busy with the trainees."
"After tea, you have your music lessons, boys." Natsumi spoke and Yumoto groaned, "I hate music lessons…I can't play piano at all."
Gora sighed, "Yumoto, we're doing it because we have that important god coming in a few weeks…"
"So, we have to perform?"
"It's customary, plus, you like to sing."
Yumoto sighed, "I knowww." He groaned, "At least we don't have too much more to learn."
Gora rubbed his head, "Hey, don't frown too much."
Yumoto giggled, "sorry."
Natsumi smiled at her boys, "Thank you two for understanding. Also, Gora, you have a lovely singing voice. Maybe have Yumoto try another instrument sometime, okay?"
"Of course, mama."
Natsumi smiled and looked over at a guard, "Kaede, why don't you take a break for now? It's warm today, and you deserve to sit for a while."
The guard nodded and Gora smiled as the guard left. His mother looked up as she grabbed her parasol and stood up, "How about we go for a walk?"
"Alone?"
"Yes." Natsumi grinned, "We never walk together. We need a break from the guards as well, plus, we're safe here."
Gora nodded and Yumoto smiled, "Yeah!"
Yukiteru smiled as he walked inside the theater with Gora and Yumoto. "Please, be on your best behavior, I know you get bored during these, Yumoto."
Yumoto nodded, "Yes papa…"
Gora chuckled, "Yumoto, if you fall asleep, we won't judge you."
Yukiteru shook his head, "Gora…"
Gora smiled, "Sorry, papa."
Yumoto looked at the thick red curtain in front of him and Yukiteru lifted it, "Come on, it'll be starting shortly. We don't want to stand them up, right?"
Gora nodded, "Yes…"
Yukiteru looked at his sons, "If anyone says anything, I'll get onto to them. We all know how the God of Song is."
The three of them walked in and Yumoto looked at the stage as they sat down. He smiled as he saw it, "Do you think he'll perform a mortal story?"
"Maybe." Yukiteru spoke and Gora looked up, "They decorated it today too, I wonder how extravagant it'll be."
Yumoto hummed, "Dunno, but…" he paused, "ooh! It's about to start."
Yumoto sighed as they left the theater that night, "I only got bored halfway through when suddenly the God of Song was a princess and his sister was the prince."
"Oh, why?" Gora asked and Yumoto shook his head, "How he kept his voice the same distracted me."
Yukiteru laughed, "I'm surprised that was the thing that bugged you."
"Eh, just couldn't imagine it."
Gora shook his head, "You know, you could always ask the Goddess of Drama to give you acting lessons to take the God of Song's place,"
"Huh?" Yumoto frowned, "Mama wouldn't allow it you know."
Gora smiled, "True."
Yumoto hummed and mused at the idea, "Ah, yes. Hakone Yumoto, former heir, gone actor…" he placed a finger on his chin, "I like that!"
Yukiteru shook his head, "Boys…"
Yumoto smiled, "Papa, I'd be a great actor."
"You're an heir first. We'll talk about the acting later on."
"Awwww."
Natsumi smiled as she wrapped an arm around Yukiteru's, "I'm so glad you took them out tonight. You rarely have free time."
Yukiteru blushed, "N-Nat…"
Natsumi giggled as she kissed his cheek, "I know, I know."
Gora peeked in, "Mama, papa, Yumoto and I are heading to bed." He moved to show him carrying a sleeping Yumoto on his back.
"Ah, alright." Natsumi spoke, "Goodnight you two."
"Night…" Yumoto muttered and Gora smiled, "goodnight."
With that, the two Hakone brothers went to bed.
Wombat followed Gora's heels and Gora smiled, "Glad to see you today, Wombat."
Wombat nodded, "Did you two have a nice day today?"
Gora nodded, "Yeah."
Wombat watched Gora put Yumoto to bed and climbed up. Gora chuckled as Wombat was grabbed by Yumoto quickly.
"Goodnight, Yumoto…Wombat."
"Goodnight, Gora-san."
With that, Gora left.
Wombat smiled up at Yumoto, "This family is so loving, I am glad to be apart of this family of love."
