I had this very very very long Stella and Brandon AU planned out and as I was writing, I was like, wow, this is absolute garbage. So I need to go and edit/rewrite parts of that but I thought that you all should have something so I have written another shorter Stella and Brandon one-shot. I hope that you enjoy it and I hope to have the longer one up sometime in the near future.

Stella and Brandon- Darkness

Sweat covered her chest as she lay there, heaving in her bed. Stella was fighting in her dreams, like she seemed to do everyday when she was awake. She gasped for air as she fought off the demons that came to her.

She shot up in her bed and opened her bright golden eyes. She looked over to the other side of the room where Aisha was sound asleep, not a care in the world etched onto her dark features. Stella placed a hand on her chest as she tried to steady her breathing. Her heart seemed to go a mile a minute and her chest felt tight.

Her pink alarm clock glowed on her bedside table, telling her that it was only two in the morning. Far too early for her to justify getting out of bed. But she couldn't go back to sleep in fear that she would see their faces again.

For the past few months all Stella could see was the faces of those she and her friends had defeated. First would be the Trix. They certainly weren't the best trio to look at but they weren't necessarily scary, just a nuisance in her dreams. Next would be the Wizards of the Black Circle where they would surround her in darkness. It was at that point where she would lose the ability to breath, pleading for light, her life source. Finally, Darkar and Valtor would be there, ready to deliver the final blow. But it never came, she would always wake up before they attacked her. The last thing that she would see was their menacing smiles as they stood above her.

Stella rolled over to her side and reached over to the side table and pulled her phone off the charger. The light of her phone casted a glow on her face as she held it close. The last notification that she had was the one where her phone would tell her that it was sufficiently charged. She unlocked the small pink phone and went to her messages. It was a long shot but she pulled up Brandon's name and shot him a quick text. She really needed someone to talk to.

She shut off her phone screen and clutched the phone to her breast. Brandon didn't know what she was going through, nobody did. Stella was the friend that wanted everyone to be happy and she had a personal responsibility to others around her to make them feel happy. She was the Fairy of Light, the Fairy of the Sun and Moon, she was light. But deep down, there was a darkness that only she was dealing with. She wanted to tell somebody but she didn't want to disappoint them.

Stella knew that she wasn't the only one that dealt with the trauma that came from years of fighting and saving the universe. However, she felt like she was going through it alone. She would listen to Bloom as she talked about the pressure that she was under. Flora found solace in her plants and in Helia. Aisha would channel all of her worries into sports. Tecna would spend her days with Timmy creating and inventing. Musa had her music. What did Stella have?

Shopping was fine to an extent but she could only shop so much. She could not fill the darkness inside of her with things. She told Brandon of her nightmares but she didn't want to belabor the situation and make it more than it really was. She wanted to make him happy most of all.

*Ding*

Stella pulled out her phone and checked the small notification at the top of her phone.

B: Yes I am awake. Is everything okay?

Stella frowned at the message, what was he doing up?

S: Just another nightmare.

The message was sent and just as soon she set her phone down again, her phone dinged again.

B: Again? Do you want to talk about it?

S: No, it's okay. I am sorry if I woke you up. You can go back to bed.

B: I was never asleep. Just finishing up on some work.

Stella sighed as she looked down at her phone. He worked so much, not everyone could be royalty, and she really didn't want to bother him with her problems.

*Ding*

B: Stell, please just tell me what is wrong. You have been having nightmares every night for the past two weeks and I am becoming worried. You know that you can talk to me about anything if you want.

She couldn't bother him like that.

S: Just forget about it. I am going to go back to sleep.

B: I am coming over there.

No no no. Stella repeated in her head in a panic. She really didn't want to talk about this with him. She should have never texted him in the first place.

B: I'll meet you at the lake in the forest. I will break into Alfea to come and get you if you don't come. I am worried about you, Stell and I want to make sure that you are okay.

S: Please don't come.

B: You know that I wouldn't if I didn't feel that I needed to. But right now, you need to talk to someone and do not think that I don't care or that I don't love you enough to be the person you can talk to. You know that I will always be here for you.

Stella couldn't help but to smile as she looked at the message that Brandon had left her. Her smile soon fell because she knew that Brandon would find her nightmare to be ridiculous and that he had wasted his time coming here instead of working or getting some sleep.

Turning off her phone screen, Stella threw her legs over the edge of the bed and placed her feet inside a pair of fuzzy yellow slippers. She stood up from the bed and walked over to her wardrobe and pulled out her yellow silk robe. Stella didn't feel like getting dressed but she took off her slippers and put on a pair of white sandals. Throwing her hair up into a high ponytail, Stella grabbed her phone and put it in the pocket of her robe before sneaking out of her shared bedroom and out of the dorm room.

Walking down the hallways, Stella looked out of the large windows and up at the large full moon. It was bright and she could feel her body becoming stronger the longer that she was in it's light. Her nightmares began at the new moon, where the sky was black and the only light came from the lights in the courtyard and the twinkle of the stars. She thought that the nightmares would start at the full moon, but if tonight was any indication, that was not the case.

Stella reached the courtyard of Alfea before she followed the dirt path into the forest where Brandon said that he would be. The trees were large and covered her body in their shadow, blocking the moon the further that she went in.

Reaching the small lake in the middle of the forest, Stella sighed as she saw Brandon leaning against a large boulder, his attention towards the moon and his arms crossed. His tan skin seemed to glow in the moonlight and it never ceased to amaze her how beautiful her boyfriend was. His dark hair and eyes sent her into a frenzy everytime that she saw him and his smile was enough to make any girl fall for him. He knew that too which at times was annoying.

"Brandon," Stella called out. He turned and gave her a small smile as he saw her walking up to him. "You really didn't need to come."

"You know that there was no way that I wasn't going to come and see you." Brandon reached out and pulled Stella into his arms, her head resting on his muscular chest, covered with a dark green t-shirt. She breathed in and could smell the familiar scent of pine and smoke from his soap and training the dragons.

As she stood in his arms, Stella could feel wetness from her eyes and soon registered that she was crying. Why? She didn't know. Maybe it was because being in Brandon's arms always seemed to soothe her in ways that nothing else could. Maybe it was because she was so afraid to come. Or maybe it was because she had finally had enough. Enough of handling this all by herself and finally Brandon was here.

His hand ran over her golden hair as his t-shirt became stained with her tears. Brandon knew that there was something wrong but seeing her cry just confirmed his worst fears. In the years that he had known and dated Stella, he didn't think that there was a time that he had seen her cry or even hear about her crying. Her tears were the worst sound that he had ever heard and what made him angry was the fact that she felt that she couldn't tell him what was going on.

"Stella," Brandon pulled her off of his chest so that he could look at her tear stained face, "please tell me what is going on."

His voice was soft and pleading. Stella looked down at her feet and hugged her chest, scared to tell him what it was that was bothering her. She inhaled and her tears momentarily stopped flowing, long enough for her to tell him about what it was that was bothering her.

"I...I keep seeing them." Stella whispered.

"Who, Stella?" Brandon asked. He took his thumb and ran it across Stella's plump cheeks, wiping a lone tear that remained on her rosy cheeks.

"Them." Stella emphasized, "The Trix, the Wizards, Darkar, Valtor..." Stella's voice trailed off, "I can't breath. They take all of the light from around me and I am suffocating. I wake up in the middle of the night, sweating and reaching for the life and air around me."

"And this has been happening for the few days?" Brandon asked.

"No," Stella sighed, "the first nightmare happened on the new moon. Then they stopped, finally beginning again two weeks ago. They have happened every night since. Every time I close my eyes, I see them. I feel myself losing all sense of what is real and what is not."

Brandon looked down at Stella's golden eyes, once so vibrant now a shell of what they used to be.

"You should have told me," Brandon caressed Stella's cheek, "I hate seeing you like this."

"And what would you have done? Told me that it was going to be okay?"

"No," Brandon lowered his head, "I won't make promises that I cannot keep. I don't know if it will be okay. I get those dreams at times too. But I would have told you that I am here for you if you ever need anything. You shouldn't have to go through all of this alone, Sunshine."

Stella brought her eyes to look up at Brandon and his stomach flipped in glee when he saw her give him a small smile. His favorite part about her was her smile and he would do anything to make sure that it was always on her face.

"What did you do to survive the dreams? To survive the darkness?" Stella asked.

"When I wake up and I feel like everything around me has gone dark, I think about all the light that I have. My mind always turns to you. You are the brightest light that I have in my life and I know that if you are with me that I can survive any darkness."

"What if I can no longer be the light that people want me to be?" Stella looked up into Brandon's brown eyes, her golden ones filled with panic. "I feel that everyday the light fades more and more. The light does not shine as bright and I don't know if I will ever be able to pull myself out of the darkness."

Brandon pulled Stella back into his chest and wrapped his arms firmly around her.

"Everyone just expects me to be happy and jovial but I feel like I am slowly breaking down."

"Stella," Brandon said, his cheek on the top of her head, "nobody expects that of you. We want you to be you and we want you to be happy. If you are not happy, you know that all of us would do anything to make that light come back to you again. You do not need to hide from anyone, especially me."

Her arms were around his waist as she felt his warmth hit her skin.

"I love you, Brandon." Stella sighed into his chest, her lips moving against the fabric of his t-shirt.

"I love you too, Stella." Brandon replied as he pulled Stella away and kissed her forehead.

They stood by the lake in silence for a few moments. Stella still held onto Brandon as his arms were still wrapped around her body in a comforting and protective hold. She brought her head back to his chest and she continued to take in the smell of pine and smoke, finding the scent of him to be soothing.

"Are you ready to go back?" Brandon asked, "I can walk you back. You must be tired."

"I can't go back," Stella exhaled, "I don't want to be alone right now."

"You need to sleep, Stella."

"No," Stella shot back, "stay with me."

Brandon took in a deep breath and looked down at the top of Stella's golden head. He was tired, beyond the need for sleep, but for Stella, he would stay with her.

"Okay," Brandon replied.

Using her powers, Stella summoned a large pillow that had a lunar pattern on it and a large pale yellow blanket. She threw down the pillow and sank to the soft grass. She curled up into a ball and pulled the blanket over her body. Brandon looked down and gave her a small smile before he followed her down to the ground.

He pulled the blanket up to his chest and wrapped his arms around Stella, her back to him as he buried his face in the bend between her shoulder and neck. He placed a soft kiss on her slender neck, the smell of oranges and vanilla entering his nose. A small, breathy moan escaped her lips as she felt Brandon's lips on her. If his smile was the thing that took her breath away, his kiss was what brought it back.

Stella turned around to face Brandon and she looked into his chocolate brown eyes as she struggled to keep hers open. But she couldn't blink. She didn't want him to disappear when she fell asleep. Everytime she fell asleep, she lost a part of herself, she didn't want to wake up to find that he was gone too.

"Please sleep, Stella." Brandon quietly pleaded. "I will be right here when you wake up."

Stella turned her head up and lifted her chin, placing a small kiss on Brandon's lips. She put her head back down on the pillow before falling asleep, the darkness taking over.

The morning light penetrated through her eyelids. The power of the sun filling Stella's veins causes her to rise from a peaceful slumber. She opened her eyes and found that Brandon was right where he said that he was going to be. Right by her side, his arm still wrapped around her.

She looked at his peaceful face. His mouth turned up into a slight smile and his brow smooth as he breathed in softly. The air escaped from a small parting of his lips, hitting her in the face. His breath smelled like spearmint and she did everything she could do to resist placing her lips onto his. But she wasn't perfect.

Cupping his cheeks, Stella heard his breath hitch in his chest as she brought her lips to his. His breathing stopped momentarily and his arms tightened their grasp around Stella's slender waist. She felt his mouth move with hers and Stella knew that she had woken him up. Stella pulled away and looked at him, his eyes lidded as he began to slowly wake up. He pulled his arms away from Stella so that he could stretch after his sleep.

"Good morning, Sunshine." Brandon greeted through a stretch.

"I'm sorry if I woke you up." Stella blushed.

"Don't be," Brandon gave her a tired smile, "though I have never been woken up like that before. Can't say that I didn't mind it."

"I was just happy to see you." Stella replied, "You said that you would stay with me and you did."

"Why wouldn't I?" Brandon returned his arms to around Stella's waist and pulled her closer to him, her chest resting on his. "I told you that I am not one to make promises that I cannot keep."

Stella smiled as she placed a small hand on his strong face. Her thumb ran along his high cheekbone, lightly grazing the bottom of the swollen bags under his eyes.

"How did you sleep?" Brandon asked as he leaned into Stella's caress.

"For the first time in two weeks, the faces of those who we have defeated did not make an appearance in my dream."

"Oh? Well that is good." Brandon gave her a small smile as he raised his hand to run through her soft blonde hair, falling out of its ponytail as she slept. "What did you dream of then?"

"Nothing. It was all black." Stella sighed.

"All black is better than meeting the unfortunate faces of our past." Brandon replied.

"But it is still dark." Stella frowned. "But I understand what you meant about remembering the light in my life. Seeing you next to me when I woke up brought to me a light that I had not felt in the past month."

Brandon placed his hand under her chin as he brought her lips up to his, capturing them in a kiss. Stella brought her arms around his neck as she pulled herself up and closer to him. Her warm lips moved against Brandon's soft ones as she breathed in the taste of his minty breath. She ran her hands through his brown hair, feeling the sleek strands flow through her fingers.

His arms pulled her tighter and his hands splayed across her back. The silk robe felt cool against his warm skin. His hands moved from her back to her hips, feeling the satin ribbon that held the robe closed. He pulled lightly on the satin and felt the robe open up and the front cascading over his arm.

Bringing his lips to her jaw, Brandon slipped the robe over Stella's shoulders, riding her of the silk fabric to reveal her white nightgown. Her shoulders were bare as he began to pull down the small straps and kissed the tender skin. His hands moved down to her thighs, uncovered by the white nightgown as it rode up her legs in the night. His fingertips sent a shiver up Stella's spine.

Moving his hands further up her thighs and his mouth lower down on her chest, Stella exhaled a breath that she did not know that she had. Her fingers tightened their grip onto Brandon's hair as Brandon's hands reached her wet center.

It had been a month that she had been intimate with Brandon other than the soft kisses that they would give each other when they parted. Her dreams seemed to be the constant source of her attention and worries. However, right now nothing else could ever be on her mind. All there was was Brandon and the way that his hands felt on her body.

"Brandon," Stella gave a breathy moan, "oh, Brandon."

Brandon moved his mouth lower so it was now on Stella's exposed breast. The sun shined on his head as Stella arched her back. She took in the warm rays and felt her energy increase in tandem with the warm feeling in her lower abdomen begin to coil and tighten. His fingers began to rub at the sensitive nub between her legs and Stella let out a moan.

Taking his mouth off of her breast, Brandon placed soft kisses on her chest and back up to her lips. He moved one hand and laid her down on her back as he lowered himself on top of her. His hand continued to move over her sex and he took in the sight of her face contorted in pleasure as opposed to the sadness that was evident the night before. This face was much better and one that he longed to have her make when he was near her.

Brandon paused the movements on Stella's clitoris and lifted her knees before sinking down, leaving a trail of light kisses down her body. He kissed each breast, her sternum, stomach, pelvis, thighs, and feet. His kisses were irreverent as he made his way down, like he was worshiping her body with his lips. He finally landed on his target and placed his lips on Stella's wet center. He inhaled her scent before opening his mouth and tasting her warmth.

Stella gasped as she felt Brandon's warm tongue on her most sensitive place. Her hands once again found their place woven through Brandon's chocolate brown hair. She moaned as she felt Brandon lick and suck at her already dripping pussy. Her mind became heavy as he continued his work.

Sweat began to cover her body like the night before but this time for a completely different reason. Her grip on his hair became tighter and her hips began to roll against his mouth. He sucked in and Stella released a low moan as she felt his teeth graze across her sensitive clitoris.

"Ah..." was all that Stella could manage as she felt Brandon's tongue run against her tight entrance.

"I can't...not without you." Stella panted as she pulled Brandon up from between her legs so that she could get a better look at him.

Brandon looked up at Stella, his mouth covered with a sheen that came from Stella. He smiled before he wiped his mouth and returned to eye level with Stella. He placed a kiss on her cheek as he lowered his pants, enough for his cock to feel the cool forest air. His member was hard and he was ready for every part of Stella.

"I love you." Brandon whispered as he rubbed the tip of his hard cock against Stella's wet and warm entrance.

Stella couldn't bring herself to speak, too filled with anticipation of Brandon's entrance into her body. There were no words to how happy and loved she felt when she was with Brandon. He had stayed with her when she needed him, no questions asked. She was worried that if he knew of the darkness that had consumed her mind that he would no longer love her. How could someone love someone so broken? But he did and he was right, all of her friends would too. But he was what mattered most to her.

With a thrust of his hips, Brandon entered Stella, a hiss escaping from between her teeth. Brandon's lips crashed onto Stella's as they both did their best to muffle their moans and groans of pleasure upon the initial insertion.

His hips began to move in and out of Stella, her nails digging into the tan skin on his arms. Feeling the roll of his hips against hers and the way that his cock stretched her out, Stella's moans became more breathy and her vision more hazy.

"Brandon..." Stella moaned.

"Sunshine."

Stella's body seemed to glow in the sunshine that was cast onto her, something that did not go unnoticed by Brandon. He moved one hand from either side of her head and ran it across her smooth skin on her face. She looked like a beautiful goddess in the glow of the early morning sun as it rose higher and higher over the horizon.

His hips began moving faster and faster in her as her breasts began to bounce with the movements. Moving his hand from her face, he held a soft breast in his hand and Brandon's head began to spin. The feel of her skin, the inside of her clenching down on him, and the sounds that she made were enough to send him over the edge. But he would not come without her.

His hand began rubbing on her clitoris in the space between them, her moans growing louder into muted shouts of ecstasy.

"I don't think that I can hold on much longer." Stella announced as she huffed. Her hips began to move to meet Brandon's.

Brandon rubbed faster and faster, matching the intensity of his pelvis. With a final thrust, the inside of Stella's sex clamped down onto Brandon's swollen cock. She let out a yell as she reached the peak of her climax. Her back arched and her nails pierced through the skin on Brandon's arms.

Joining her, Brandon gave out a soft grunt as he released inside of Stella. She sighed and moaned quietly as she felt Brandon's cum fill her and coat the walls of her vagina. He collapsed on top of her as he did his best to regain a normal breathing pattern. Stella ran a hand over his back, his green t-shirt stained with sweat but Stella did not mind. She was glad to have him in her arms.

Pulling out of Stella and rolling over to his side, Brandon adjusted himself in his pants before giving Stella a warm smile. His hands ran across her sweaty brow as he swept the hair off of her face. He looked into her eyes, glazed over from their love making but better than the lifeless eyes of the night before.

"I love you." Brandon whispered for the second time that morning but Stella could listen to him say it a million times a day if he really meant it.

She placed her lips onto Brandon's before placing her forehead onto Brandon's.

"Thank you for being my light."
