Just a little something that I had come up with in my mind the other night whilst reading Kissed by sasansan1 to fill my mind whilst I have a bit of writers block writing Ravenswood.

Contains character deaths.

Fear.

That's what she felt when she saw the Dementors board the Hogwarts Express.

Hope.

That's what she felt when she saw the Patronus chase off the Dementors.

Loss.

That's what Daphne Greengrass felt when she saw the lifeless body of her friends.

It had been a routine journey, just like the previous four years.

King's Cross to Hogsmeade.

The same routine. Boarding the Hogwarts Express at King's Cross, finding a compartment on the train, waiting for Blaise, Pansy, Tracey, Theo and Alicia Runcorn, chatting about the summer hols, about their families, and when the boys disappear to get changed into their uniforms, talking about their attributes.

But this year was different, there was a change.

Pansy had got a prefects badge. She and Draco were the prefects for Slytherin. Her sister, Queenie, was Head Girl. The first Slytherin Head Girl in nearly a decade.

And Dementors attacked the Hogwarts Express.

Daphne was lucky to be alive.

She had gone to the onboard lavatory somewhere around Stevenage when suddenly the train ground to a halt. A feeling of cold air started to surround her. the same as what had happened in her Third Year.

Dementors were boarding the train.

Opening the door slightly, she could see the wraithlike Dark creatures glide onto the train at the other end of the carriage. It was then that the fear started to kick in, that it started to make her extremely worried.

Closing the door, she knew she was starting to breath heavy. Hoping the dementors would not access the lavatory, she locked the door using the catch, hoping that the Muggle built carriages would stop the Dementors getting in.

It was then that she heard him shout those two words.

"Expecto Patronum"

The Patronus Charm.

She opened the door to see a giant stag galloping towards the Dementors, its antlers stabbing themselves in the creatures chest, its power matching the Gryffindor who was infront of the door.

Harry Potter - the Boy-Who-Lived.

Daphne had seen him in action in the TriWizard Tournament the previous year, and she had been in awe at how he had outflew the Dragon, how he had performed in the lake, and how he had been upset at the death of Cedric Diggory.

Watching him take down three Dementors, and then a forth, with his Patronus, made her feel hopeful that they would be defeated.

Opening the door fully, she managed to sneak out of the lavatory into the compartment nearest her when she was shocked at what she could see.

3 Firsties, kissed.

Putting her head out of the compartement into the corridor, all she could see was cloaks on the floor that the Dementors had worn, so she headed to the compartment where she had sat...

...to see Blaise, Tracey, Theo and Alicia.

Blaise, her best friend. The one who she could talk to about anything and she knew he would take her secrets to his grave.

Tracey, her cousin. The one who she had played with as a child, who she had mentored in Arithmancy and Ancient Runes.

Theo, her betrothed. The one who she had been expected to spend the rest of her life with.

Alicia, her enforcer. The one who had dirt on everyone and enforced the Greengrass family will.

It was then she heard a scream. Something that sounded almost inhuman.

Rushing out, she saw a Dementor in the next carriage being ran down by the same Patronus as it was midway through administering the Kiss. Daphne recognised that carriage though as the Prefects Carriage.

'Shit. Queenie. Pansy.' she thought as she saw the stag disappear, the cold feeling slowly leaving the train as the remaining Dementors disappeared.

It was then that she heard the sound of cracks of apparation and she ran into the Prefects carriage, her wand out, when she saw a big black Auror accompanied by a Auror with bubblegum pink hair enter.

Seeing the sight before her however, she had to try not to heave.

Her sister was dead.

Falling to her knees, she didn't hear what the two Aurors said to each other. It was only when she felt herself being lifted up that she saw the additional body, someone who wasn't a prefect, but she knew had tried to save them.

Harry Potter was on the floor, dead.

'He must have died as his Patronus was fighting the Dementors.' she thought as she heard another crack of apparation, and the gaudy robes of Albus Dumbledore appeared outside the train.

The black Auror went out into the doorway and Daphne heard him say "Harry and his friends are dead. It looks like they've been kissed."

"Thank you Kingsley."

Hearing another crack of appiration, she recognised the two arrivals from her fathers constant trips to the Ministry. Delores Umbridge and Cornelius Fudge.

As the Auror that Daphne heard being called Kingsley tried to deny the two access, she saw the other one pull a Quill and a sheaf of parchment from out of her pockets.

As the train started to pull off and gathered speed, Daphne knew that she was lucky to be alive, but at the same time, she knew that she would miss her friends forever.

Little did she know the doom that the Wizarding World have found itself in. All because of one Delores Umbridge...

This premise was a little something I made up in my head. If anyone wants to continue it, feel free to do so. I might expand it, add a few chapters, but that depends on my other fics.
