It was the day after Kevin had told everyone about his first match with Seto Kaiba and he was currently with Zane and Jaden in the Obelisk Blue dormitory helping the latter prepare a nice meal. Kevin was looking out at the window.

"Is something wrong?" Zane inquired.

"I am feeling something out there." Kevin admitted.

"Well you aren't going after it alone." Zane reminded him with a smile.

Kevin turned back with a smile.

A few minutes later...

They were done at the meal.

"Thanks you guys." Jaden smiled only to pause and blush slightly. "I just hope she appreciates the effort."

"She will cause your the one who made the call." Kevin chuckled.

Jaden blushed a bit more as he picked up the things and walked off.

"Okay Zane. What ya want to do?" Kevin asked him.

"Do you need to ask?" Zane smirked. "It's been a while since we've had a match."

Kevin chuckled, "Okay your on!"

The two of them smiled before walking out of the dorm.

Meanwhile...

Jaden swallowed nervously before walking up and knocking on the door to the Obelisk Blue female dorm. Nurse Fontaine answered blinking.

"Nurse Fontaine?" Jaden asked in confusion before shaking his head. "Um... is Alexis free?"

"Alexis? Let me see." Nurse Fontaine said allowing him in giving him a slip before walking up.

Jaden looked around only to pause and look down uncertainly. He hears someone walking over as he turned seeing Alexis. He blushed seeing her. "Oh... hi Alexis."

"Hi Jaden." Alexis smiled softly to him.

"Is a lakeside picnic good?" he asked her nervously.

(A/N (Ulrich362): Jaden isn't timid or shy under normal circumstances... he's acting nervous because he has feelings for Alexis.)

"Of course." Alexis nodded with a smile.

Jaden smiled before offering her his arm. Alexis smiled back linking her arm to his. Jaden blushed more before the two of them walked out of the dorm. They arrived at the lake as Alexis smiled, "You picked a good spot."

"I thought it would be peaceful here." Jaden admitted before smiling.

Alexis sat down.

"Alexis... shouldn't I put something down for you to sit on?" he asked.

"Yeah, I know." Alexis smiled standing up, "Just wanting to help you out."

Jaden blushed before taking a fairly large towel and laying it down. Alexis helped him lay it down. When it was spread out Jaden helped Alexis sit back down before showing her two small objects wrapped in foil and a small container of salad. Alexis blinked seeing them before smiling, "Did Kevin help you out?"

"Yeah, he had to remind me about how long the fish takes." Jaden admitted.

That made Alexis laugh a little. Jaden smiled hearing that.

"And still thanks for that flower back then." Alexis smiled.

Jaden blushed at that. "Well... it's something special for a beautiful person."

His eyes widened at that and he blushed more. Alexis giggled a little kissing his cheek. Jaden smiled at that.

"Alright what do you brought?" Alexis smiled to him.

Jaden looked down to check. "A greek salad, some lightly grilled salmon, a raspberry punch, some mixed berries, and... my attempt at some chocolate chip cookies."

"Your attempt? I didn't know you can bake." Alexis admitted.

"It was my first time trying." Jaden admitted. "I wanted this to feel at least a little special."

Alexis smiled at that. He smiled back and closed his eyes. "It really is a great day too."

"Yeah." Alexis smiled kissing him again.

Jaden blushed before gently kissing her cheek. Alexis smiled before checking over the containers, "Which one are your cookies?"

"The... yellow one." Jaden answered nervously.

Alexis opened it. Inside were some chocolate chip cookies though they looked unprofessional and some looked a bit burnt.

"Jaden..." Alexis trailed off.

"Sorry about that, I know they're kind of bad." Jaden apologized.

That was when she bit into one. It was overly sweet and burnt. Alexis didn't let that stop her chewing before swallowing.

"Sorry Lex, I know it isn't great. At least the rest of it should be good." Jaden mentioned.

"I-I like it." Alexis told him smiling before eating the rest.

Jaden's eyes widened and he smiled. "Oh... that's good."

She kissed him again. He blushed heavily at that.

"Okay, you wanna start eating?" Alexis smiled to him.

"Sure." Jaden nodded with his own smile.

With that they both started eating on their picnic.

"Hey Alexis?" Jaden asked hesitantly.

"Yes?" Alexis asked him.

"Thanks for suggesting we do this." he smiled.

Alexis smiled to him before saying, "Well your sweet."

Jaden smiled at that before gently kissing her again. Alexis kissed him back. A little later Jaden smiled before offering his arm again. "Can I walk you back?"

Alexis linked to his arm again smiling. Jaden smiled at that as he picked up the things they packed up and they headed back to the Obelisk Blue female dorm.

"Thanks for it Jaden." Alexis smiled to him.

"You're welcome Alexis." Jaden mentioned before pausing. "Can... can I do one more thing?"

"What?" Alexis asked curiously.

Jaden took a breath before gently kissing her lips only to pull back with a blush. "Thanks again, today was amazing."

Alexis blinked before blushing with a smile. Jaden smiled before turning and walking off. Alexis walked back in the dorm.

"Did you two have a good time?" miss Fontaine asked with a smile.

Alexis blushed, and nodded.

"I had a feeling." she smiled. "After everything you all have been through you definitely deserved a nice day."

Alexis smiled hearing that.

Later...

Kevin, and Jaden were discussing about plans for the Shadow Riders.

"Do you remember anything about any of the others?" Jaden asked him while looking over his deck.

"My memory is foggy... But I do remember one." Kevin admitted, "She lived for hundreds of years."

"Hundreds of years?" Jaden asked. "That's impossible Kevin."

"I thought so too but... She does. Cause she is... undead." Kevin told him.

Jaden's eyes widened in shock hearing that.

Unknown to them a bat was just outside the window listening to their conversation before flying off and meeting with a few other bats. Kevin sensing something turned to the window seeing nothing.

"Kevin?" Jaden asked. "Is something wrong?"

"...Thought I felt something." Kevin admitted.

"Weird, maybe you're just tired?" Jaden suggested.

"Maybe." Kevin said before saying, "Anyway we need to be prepared."

"Right." Jaden nodded in agreement.

Meanwhile...

The bats all flew into an open window where a green-haired woman was sitting in a bath before she opened her eyes. "What did you learn for me?"

A bat flew to the edge as it showed of Kevin, and Jaden's conversation. The woman's eyes narrowed. "So he has betrayed us. I'll remind him of how powerful the Shadow Riders can be and then I'll offer his soul to the Sacred Beasts."

She rubbed a choker on her neck saying that. She heard a roar in her head as she said that. She smirked. 'Patience, first I have to introduce myself. I'll allow you two the pleasure of finishing him off.'

Back at the Academy...

Kevin shuddered suddenly.

"Kevin?" Jaden asked seeing that.

"I just got a bad feeling." Kevin admitted.

Jaden frowned hearing that. "Should we talk to someone?"

"I don't know. But come on lets talk to Chancellor Sheppard for a status update." Kevin told him.

"Yeah, that makes sense." Jaden agreed.

They walked to Shepherd's office as Kevin knocked.

"Yes?" Shepherd asked.

They walked in as Kevin said, "What's the status with the Shadow Riders?"

Shepherd's expression darkened. "I've asked for the others to come here, can you two wait for a few minutes?"

They nodded at that. A few minutes later the rest of the key bearers arrived.

"Chancellor?" Dr. Crowler asked.

"We've been having some students make some very peculiar claims recently." Shepherd mentioned. "They claim to have encountered a vampire on the island."

"A vampire?" Chazz questioned. "You can't be serious."

"I'm afraid the rumors may not be rumors after all." Shepherd said concerned.

"Oh, my!" Banner said worried.

Kevin's breath hitched holding his head. Jaden looked nervous too. "Do you mean this vampire might be another Shadow Rider?"

"It is." Kevin told them, "The Vampire Mistress of the Shadow Riders, Camula, and as I told you Jaden a Shadow Rider that is Undead."

"You remember the other Shadow Riders?" Zane inquired. "That could be valuable information, and Atticus might know things himself."

"My memory is still foggy, but I can remember her." Kevin admitted.

"Well anything you remember is a huge..." Banner started before a Ra Yellow ran into the office.

"Chancellor, it's her. The Vampire!" he panicked.

"Where!?" Shepherd asked standing up placing his hands at his desk.

"At the lake." the student answered.

"Come on everyone!" Kevin stated to everyone running off.

They all ran out after him. They arrived at the lake where it's foggy before a crimson carpet was rolled out where it stopped in front of them.

"Malek, I had a feeling you would be here." stated a feminine voice.

"Camula..." Kevin trailed off remembering the voice.

At that a green-haired woman in a red dress walked out of the fog. "You remember me, I'm touched. Though I have more pressing matters to deal with than you. I'm here to claim the Spirit Keys and the souls of your little friends."

"Well sorry but Malek is long gone Camula. I'm Kevin Yuki now!" Kevin told her.

"So I've heard, but I'll deal with you in due time." Camula told him before looking at the others and stopping as she met Zane's eyes. "You will do nicely as the first of my victims."

Dr. Crowler stood in front of Zane looking nervous but told her, "You want my students go through me."

"And who are you?" Camula questioned.

"I'm Dr. Crowler, your challenger." Dr. Crowler told her.

Camula stared at him. "Very well."

They all stood as Camula's Duel Disk was a bat oriented Duel Disk activating their gear.

"DUEL!" Camula and Dr. Crowler declared together.

Let the duel begin!

Camula 1st Turn:

"Ladies first, and I'll start by summoning my Zombie Werewolf in attack mode." Camula stated.

When this card is destroyed by battle, you can Special Summon a card with the same name from your Deck and it gains 500 ATK.

A zombie wolf humanoid appeared howling with chains at his wrists.

"I'm forbidden from attacking you this turn so I'll simply set this and pass things along to you." Camula stated calmly. "My werewolf will sate its hunger on my next turn."

Dr. Crowler 1st Turn:

"Please, what do you take me for, an amateur? That card is a trap, and that monster is the bait." Dr. Crowler grinned before drawing, "Even so, I'll bite. First off I play the spell, Ancient Gear Castle!"

At that a brown castle armed with a lot of fire-arms appeared behind him.

Continuous Spell Card

All "Ancient Gear" monsters gain 300 ATK. Each time a monster is Normal Summoned/Set, place 1 counter on this card. If you Tribute Summon an "Ancient Gear" monster face-up, you can Tribute this card instead, if the number of its counters is equal to or greater than the number of required Tribute(s).

"Thanks to this castle all of my Ancient Gear monsters gains 300 attack points. For now I summon the Ancient Gear Soldier in attack mode." Dr. Crowler stated as a rusty solider with a machine gun for a hand appeared.

"Good work, Soldier's Special Ability stops Camula's spells, and traps from activating whenever it attacks." Bastion mentioned.

"In other words she won't be able to play that trap when Dr. Crowler destroys that Zombie Werewolf." Syrus smiled.

"No, that would be a bad move." Kevin told them.

"Now then Camula... I think it's time we give that dog a shot! Attack with Rapid Fire Flurry!" Dr. Crowler called as Soldier take aim firing at Zombie Werewolf.

"Wait, Dr. Crowler-!" Kevin tried to stop him but was too late as the wolf howled before shattering while Camula herself wasn't fazed. (Camula: 3600)

Suddenly they heard a howl as Zombie Werewolf emerged from the smoke.

Zombie Werewolf: (ATK: 1700)

"What?" Jaden questioned in shock.

"It's it's ability she was hoping for." Kevin grunted, "Whenever it's destroyed after losing a battle, she can summon another with a power up of 500 points."

Camula smirked at that. "Anything else?"

"Fine keep your mangy fleabag but it won't make much of a difference." Dr. Crowler placing a card down ending his turn.

Dr. Crowler: 4000

Camula: 3600

Camula 2nd Turn:

"You should learn your place, I summon my Vampire Bat in attack mode." Camula stated as a bat appeared.

All face-up Zombie-Type monsters you control gain 200 ATK. If this face-up card on the field would be destroyed, you can send 1 "Vampire Bat" from your Deck to the Graveyard instead.

Ancient Gear Castle: (Counters: 2)

"As long as this monster is in play all of my Zombies gain 200 more attack points."

Zombie Werewolf: (ATK: 1700 + 200 = 1900)

Vampire Bat: (ATK: 800 + 200 = 1000)

"Now, Zombie Werewolf destroy that Ancient Gear Soldier."

The werewolf charged in attacking Soldier destroying it. (Dr. Crowler: 3700)

"Well your mutt does have some bite, but it was nothing! I still have more Life Points!" Dr. Crowler said confidently.

"True, then allow my Vampire Bat to remedy that, attack him directly!" Camula stated.

The bat divided into multiples attacking Dr. Crowler, as it took all he have not to scream out in pain holding his head.

'I-I can actually feel their little teeth! This is not holographic! This is real! That means one thing! That this really is a Shadow Games!' Dr. Crowler thought as he dropped to his knees his heart beating in fear that he is really doing the real thing. (Dr. Crowler: 2700)

"Dr. Crowler!" Jaden cried.

"It won't be much longer, then this will be the new home for your soul." Camula taunted showing them a featureless doll while ending her turn.

"Now then, I believe play this!" Dr. Crowler said after standing up.

Activate only when you take Battle Damage. Special Summon 1 monster from your Deck with ATK equal to or less than the total Battle Damage you took this turn before activation.

"Since I took 1300 points of damage I'm allowed to summon a second Ancient Gear Soldier to the field." Dr. Crowler explained as an identical rusty soldier appeared.

Ancient Gear Soldier: (ATK: 1300 + 300 = 1600)

Dr. Crowler 2nd Turn:

"But he won't be around for long." He drew seeing it was Heavy Storm, "I now sacrifice the Ancient Gear Soldier so I can summon MY own four-legged friend. The Ancient Gear Beast!"

What appeared in the soldier's place was a rusty hound.

Camula frowned seeing that.

"And as your about to see he's well trained! Go Ancient Gear Beast! Show that Zombie Werewolf who's top dog!" Dr. Crowler cried before saying, "And by the way any monster destroyed by my Ancient Gear Beast isn't allowed to activate any effects including those that are triggered in the graveyard!"

"In other words that werewolf is staying in the graveyard this time." Bastion stated calmly with a smile.

"Now go Gear Beast attack Zombie Werewolf! Proud Fang!" Dr. Crowler called charging, and biting Wolf destroying it, (Camula: 3200) "Haha! If you want some tips on Dueling feel free to stop by at my class."

Camula looked down. "Perhaps I misjudged you, I won't make that mistake any longer."

She suddenly looked up with a hideous expression on her face.

Dr. Crowler: 2700

Camula: 3200

Camula 3rd Turn:

She drew her card and smirked. "I activate the field spell Infernalvania!"

They were all startled with her expression before a Transylvania Castle appeared in the distance.

Once per turn, during their Main Phase, the turn player can discard 1 Zombie-Type monster to destroy all monsters on the field. The turn player cannot Normal Summon or Set during the turn this effect is used.

Remembering the dangerous effects of it Dr. Crowler stepped back calling out, "You can't! You'll destroy everything!"

"A price I am willing to pay, by discarding my Vampire Lord Infernalvania destroys every monster in play!" Camula smirked discarding the monster.

At that a Vampire resembling Dracula appeared before vanishing as the castle glowed destroying both Beast, and Vampire Bat while Bat was left in rose petals while Chazz smirked, "But while you do that your not allowed to Normal Summon your monsters anymore."

"Think again Chazz." Kevin mentioned as they turned to him, "Vampire Bat has another ability. Should it ever be destroyed Camula can instead send another copy to the graveyard to protect it."

"Wait but that would mean..." Jaden started nervously.

"It means Crowler is wide open for my Vampire Bat to take another bite out of his life points." Camula stated. "Attack!"

Bat reformed back before dividing once again attacking Dr. Crowler, who screamed, "No! Not again!"

"He needs help!" Zane told them.

But before they can step in Dr. Crowler told them, "No! Stay back! You all must protect your keys..."

He collapsed after saying that while the bats backed off. (Dr. Crowler: 1700)

"Dr. Crowler!" Jaden cried in horror.

Dr. Crowler painfully rose back up grunting.

"Just face facts, you're too weak to protect anyone." Camula told him. "I end my turn, and soon I'll have your soul and that Spirit Key."

"If you think... I'll let you lay a hand on my students... Your dead wrong!" Dr. Crowler declared.

"Oh, and how do you plan on stopping me in your condition?" Camula questioned.

Dr. Crowler 3rd Turn:

"With this next card!" Dr. Crowler said drawing looking before calling, "I summon Ancient Gear Golem!"

A huge rusty Golem having a red light eye appeared.

Cannot be Special Summoned. If this card attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing battle damage to your opponent. If this card attacks, your opponent cannot activate any Spell/Trap Cards until the end of the Damage Step.

"You must be cheating, that monster requires two sacrifices to be summoned." Camula argued.

"Actually that move is legit." Kevin informed her with a grin, "Remember his castle? It's other effect is that a Counter is placed for every monster that was Normal Summoned after it activates. Then it's treated as the entire sacrifice to summon an Ancient Gear creature."

Ancient Gear Castle vanished while Dr. Crowler called, "Now Gear Golem! Attack her Vampire Bat with Mechanized Melee!"

The Golem charged his fist smashing his iron first onto the Vampire Bat which dispersed it into rose petals once again while Camula herself winced. (Camula: 1200)

"I can send my third Vampire Bat to the graveyard to keep the one my field from being destroyed." Camula pointed out.

The rose petals rejoined forming the Vampire Bat.

"If she uses the field again..." Banner trailed off nervously.

"I believe you're quite mistaken!" Dr. Crowler said confident.

"What's he going to do?" Chazz wondered.

Dr. Crowler announced holding up a card, "Simple! I'm going to destroy every Spell and Trap card on the field! Suffer under the wrath of Heavy Storm!"

Heavy Storm

Destroy all Spell and Trap Cards on the field.

Powerful gusts of winds overtook the duel and blew away every single Spell and Trap on the field, especially Infernalvania, leaving the field empty except for the Monsters on the field.

The spell and traps all shattered only for Camula to smirk. "Thank you. You destroyed my Zombie Bed."

When this Set card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower Zombie-Type monster from your Deck.

"By destroying it you activated its effect allowing me to summon my Zombie Werewolf from my deck."

The Werewolf reappeared as it's power increased. (ATK: 1200 + 200 = 1400)

"What!? You were expecting that?" Dr. Crowler asked startled.

"Of course, my bats have been keeping an eye on you and your decks." Camula told him. "I know all your strategies."

A bat flew down besides Camula's shoulder, folding its wings as its eyes glowed red; something Dr. Crowler noticed and was taken aback with a hint of fear.

"So that's what I felt earlier!" Kevin realized.

"Now then, shall we put an end to this?" Camula questioned with a smirk.

Dr. Crowler only stood silent ending his turn.

Dr. Crowler: 1700

Camula: 1200

Camula 4th Turn:

Camula drew her card and smirked. "I activate the spell card Book of Life."

Target 1 Zombie monster in your GY and 1 monster in your opponent's GY; Special Summon the first target, also banish the second target.

"This not only revives my Vampire Lord, it also removes your Ancient Gear Beast from play."

The vampiric lord from before appeared again.

DEF: 1500

When this card inflicts battle damage to your opponent: Declare 1 type of card (Monster, Spell, or Trap); your opponent sends 1 card of that type from their Deck to the GY. Once per turn, during your next Standby Phase after this card in your possession was destroyed and sent to your GY by an opponent's card effect: Special Summon this card from the GY.

Vampire Lord: (ATK: 2000 + 200 = 2200)

"But I'm not finished yet."

"She's gonna summon her ace." Kevin told them, "A Vampire that is a monster form of Lord itself."

"Don't you know it's rude to spoil a lady's secrets?" Camula questioned before shrugging as Vampire Lord vanished, "Well, it's too late for him anyway. I sacrifice my Vampire Lord in order to summon Vampire Genesis!"

At that a monster form of Lord like Kevin said appeared growling.

ATK: 3000

DEF: 2100

Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand) by banishing 1 "Vampire Lord" you control, and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. Once per turn: You can discard 1 Zombie-Type monster to the Graveyard, then target 1 Zombie-Type monster in your Graveyard with a Level less than the discarded Zombie-Type monster's; Special Summon that target.

Vampire Genesis: (ATK: 3000 + 200 = 3200)

"Now, Vampire Genesis destroy the Ancient Gear Golem!"

Genesis attacked the Golem destroying it. (Dr. Crowler: 1500)

Despite knowing he's screwed Dr. Crowler is able to tough out one last taunt, "That all!? I thought that you Shadow Riders were supposed to be tough!"

"Putting up a tough face for your students? I'll compliment you for that at least." Camula told him. "Zombie Werewolf and Vampire Bat, finish him off!"

First the Werewolf slashed Dr. Crowler's torso making him scream in agony before Vampire Bat put on the finishing blow with it's swarm ability while Kevin, and Jaden cried, "Dr. Crowler!"

Dr. Crowler smiled at them, "Jaden, Kevin my boys... avenge me."

With those words said, and done dropped on his stomach.

Dr. Crowler: 0000

Camula: 1200

Camula wins the duel!

Camula smirked as the key around Dr. Crowler's neck vanished and he disappeared while the doll in her hand took on his appearance. "I have no need for an ugly thing like this, I'll be in touch for our next duel."

With that she dropped the doll and vanished into the fog. Kevin grunted clenching his hands, "I could've warned him earlier..."

"It isn't your fault Kevin." Alexis pointed out.

Kevin was looking down.

"I'll deal with her." Zane mentioned.

"Zane..." Kevin trailed off turning to him.

"She wanted to duel me, well I think it's only fair she gets what she wants." Zane mentioned while staring at the fog.

"...Okay Zane. Be careful." Kevin smiled.

Zane nodded. "Right."

"Let's get some rest." Kevin said handing the Dr. Crowler doll to Chazz, "Watch him, Chazz."

Chazz took the doll only to frown and put it in his back pocket.

"Make sure to keep your eyes open for bats." Bastion mentioned.

They nodded heading off with Jaden noticing Kevin was looking down.

"Kevin?" Jaden asked walking over to him. "Are you ok?"

"Just wished I remember earlier." Kevin admitted.

"It isn't your fault, and Zane's the best duelist here. If anyone can find a way to win and rescue Dr. Crowler it's him." Jaden mentioned only to pause. "Oh... and thanks for earlier."

Kevin turned to him at the second. He blushed slightly. "The picnic was a success."

Kevin smiled, "How did she like your cookies?"

Jaden sighed. "I think she was just being nice."

"Did you ask her?" Kevin asked.

"Ask her what?" Jaden asked in confusion.

"What she thinks of the cookies." Kevin answered.

"Oh... no I didn't. I just kind of admitted I knew they wouldn't be good but she said she liked them." Jaden answered before blushing.

That made Kevin chuckle shaking his head, "I'm still single myself though."

Jaden frowned. "Well... maybe if mom let you have a little more freedom..."

"Oh speaking of her, how is she, and dad back at home?" Kevin asked him.

"They're pretty much the same." Jaden admitted. "They're still not huge fans of dueling but they let me enroll so there's that."

Kevin nodded as they arrived back, "Well be sure to rest for tomorrow little brother."

"Yeah, same to you." Jaden smiled only to blush before heading back to the Slifer Red dorm.

Kevin head back to the Obelisk Blue Dorm.

The Next Day...

Everyone was gathered at the lake.

"Come."

At that the fog cleared showing a castle.

"Zane... be careful." Kevin mentioned.

He nodded as they walked where Camula is waiting.

"Welcome to my humble abode." Camula mentioned. "Now, who will I be dueling this time?"

"You want me, you got me." Zane told her simply, "We can't allow you to have more Spirit Keys. Losing one, was one too many."

"I'm honored you're willing to accept my challenge." Camula replied. "Then shall we begin Zane?"

Zane prepared himself.

"DUEL!"

Let the duel begin!

Camula 1st Turn:

"I'll start this duel by setting a monster in defense mode and placing one card facedown to end my turn." Camula stated. "That's all for now."

Zane 1st Turn:

"Really? A shame?" Zane drawn and said "...Because it won't be enough to protect from what I have planned!"

Fusion Summon 1 Machine-Type Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, using monsters from your hand or your side of the field as Fusion Materials, and it gains ATK equal to its original ATK. "Wait, he's starting with Power Bond?" Alexis asked in shock.

"Your using Power Bond?" Camula asked not the least surprised.

"It allows me to Fusion Summon Machine-Type Monsters with this card, I fuse the three Cyber Dragons in my hand! Now, unite and merge into the all-powerful Cyber End Dragon!" Zane explained.

Upon appearing on the field momentarily, the three metallic dragons started to fuse with each other; their bodies and strengths combining with each other to form the most strongest Monster on the field.

"What are you doing Zane?" Syrus asked nervously.

"He's planning to one shot her while making sure that Camula doesn't survive." Kevin told him, "Cyber End can deal piercing damage."

"I don't think consequences will be a problem after this move." Zane noted. "Cyber End Dragon, attack Vampire Lady with Evolutionary Strident Blast!"

Fully charged, Cyber End Dragon fired streams of explosive power from his mouths, which would serve more than enough to wipe out Camula and her Vampire Lady.

"I activate my trap card Red Ghost Moon!" Camula countered as a trap opened, "By discarding a Zombie not only does this stop your attack but I gain life points equal to Cyber End Dragon's attack points for a total of 12000."

Activate only during your opponent's Battle Phase. Discard 1 Zombie-Type monster. Gain Life Points equal to the ATK of 1 Attack Position monster your opponent controls. Then, end the Battle Phase.

A red barrier flared up and shielded all Camula, and Vampire Lady, rending Cyber End Dragon's beam attacks useless as his were absorbed in the fire barrier and changed into sparkles that showered onto Camula.

"Wrong, I use De-Fusion to separate Cyber End Dragon into three Cyber Dragons." Zane countered.

Quick-Play Spell Card

Target 1 Fusion Monster on the field; return that target to the Extra Deck, then, if all the Fusion Materials that were used for its Fusion Summon are in your Graveyard, you can Special Summon all of them.

"That leaves you..."

"With nothing." Syrus smiled.

"My points!" Camula cried out.

Cyber End Dragon dispersed into the three original dragons they were composed of.

"Well at least he has three Cyber Dragons in play." Jaden mentioned.

"I activate Pot of Greed." Zane said as a grinning pot appeared.

Once he drawn two cards he added, "Now I summon Cyber Kirin!"

At that a mechanical dog appeared.

"And by sacrificing him all effect damage, I take this turn becomes zero." Zane said as Kirin vanished, "That stops Power Bond's effect from inflicting damage which allows me to place 1 card down, and end my turn."

Camula frowned before drawing her card and smirking. "You may have protected yourself from Power Bond, but not my cards. I sacrifice my facedown monster to summon Vampire Lord. Of course he won't be staying for long because I release him to call on Vampire Genesis."

The two appeared before forming to Genesis roaring.

"As fun as this is Camula, I'm going to have to interrupt to activate the Attack Reflector Unit trap card." Zane said calmly.

"And when the Cyber Barrier Dragon is in attack mode, he can put a stop to one of your attacks." At that saying the shields flared up to where Genesis' attack was stopped.

"I end my turn." Camula frowned.

Zane 2nd Turn:

"My turn!" Zane called drawing before saying, "And I'll activate, Advance Cyber Network!"

"Since Genesis has higher points, I can draw 2 cards, and we both can see them." Zane said drawing twice showing Photon Generator Unit, and Call of the Haunted before saying, "Then, I activate the Quick-Play Spell, Photon Generator Unit!"

"By sacrificing the two Cyber Dragons on my field, I can Summon the Cyber Laser Dragon!" Zane called as a modified Cyber Dragon appeared right next to Cyber Barrier Dragon.

"Awesome." Jaden grinned. "That's perfect."

"Once per turn Cyber Laser Dragon can destroy a monster you control with more attack or defense points than my Laser Dragon's attack points." Zane continued.

"I bet you talk to all of the girls like that." Camula grumbled knowing she can't protect Vampire Genesis.

"No, just the ones I really don't like." Zane replied before calling, "Now go Cyber Laser Dragon, Blue Lightning Lash!"

The Laser Dragon attacked with it's tail that destroyed Genesis.

"Now attack her directly! Blue Lightning Blast!" The Laser Dragon attacked with it's mouth slamming into Camula as she shrieked being stripped of more then half her Life Points.

(Camula: 1600)

"Oh, and don't think I forget Cyber Barrier Dragon. Attack! Sonic Screech!" Zane called as Barrier Dragon fired a blast that slammed Camula at the wall.

(Camula: 0800)

"I set one card and end my turn." Zane said calmly.

Camula weakly got up. "Zane you're forcing me to reveal my ugly side."

She looked up with her monstrous face.

Camula 3rd Turn:

Camula drew her card before smirking coldly. Zane grimaced at her look.

"I activate the spell Illusion Gate." Camula called as a gate appeared behind her.

Offer a soul to the Sacred Beasts. Destroy all monsters that your opponent controls. Then Special Summon 1 monster that your opponent has used during this duel, ignoring the Summoning conditions. If you lose the Duel after activating this card, that soul will be owned by the Sacred Beasts.

"This destroys every monster on your field."

The gate doors flung open as a terrifying wind along with a bright light coming from inside the gates started to shine through. The only Monsters left on the field, Cyber Laser Dragon, and Cyber Barrier Dragon, gazed upon the light before vanishing instantly. At the same time, a clone of Camula forged by the Illusion Gate appeared right besides her, almost as if both Camulas were twins.

"There is a small catch to playing this card, should I lose then I must offer a soul to the Sacred Beasts." Camula explained.

"Good, you deserve that." Chazz told her.

"Oh, there must have been a misunderstanding." Camula mentioned rubbing her choker. "I never said it would be my soul, wouldn't you agree Kevin Yuki?"

Eyes widening, Zane immediately knew what Camula was thinking as he hollered, "RUN, KEVIN! RUN!"

"What?" Kevin asked startled before he can react Camula's close reached him, and bit him shocking those around which before they can do anything Camula's clone pulled him back to where the real Camula was at.

"Now then, my Illusion Gate has one other effect." Camula told him. "I can summon any monster you've played during this duel, and while you did separate him you played the powerful Cyber End Dragon!"

At that Zane's ace monster appeared behind Camula. Kevin then screamed as a orange energy was extracted from his body to Cyber End causing it to materialize.

"Kevin!" Jaden cried in horror.

"Time to end this, Cyber End Dragon attack Zane directly!" Camula declared.

Cyber End charged up a blast as Zane looked a his face-down, 'The facedown Trap Card on my field is Call of the Haunted. If I brought back Cyber Barrier Dragon, I can use his effect to negate Cyber End Dragon's attack. But, even so...even if I do make it past this turn...What if she pulls off another cowardly move? If I waste more time thinking, Kevin will die! He's already suffering from blood loss, his life draining from Illusion Gate! He doesn't need more treatment from that.'

Kevin grunted before looking toward Zane, "Zane... Go on, Zane. Do it."

That made Zane gasped in shock as Kevin continued, "My soul is a small price to pay to stop Camula... After all... If she wins this duel Zane, she'll get your Spirit Key... And you know what that means. The Shadow Riders will be that much closer to freeing the Sacred Beasts... My... My wellbeing means little to this battle... I-I am only someone who's not important for not having a Spirit Key... So please don't hold back... And finish this..."

Zane gave thought to Kevin's words before saying, "Sorry Kevin but I can't do that..."

With that he closed his eyes stating, "I stand down."

"Zane, what are-" Kevin stopped in shock by what he's doing.

"So be it. He made his choice!" Camula stated as the Cyber End Dragon blasted Zane.

Camula wins the duel!

"ZANE!" Kevin screamed in horror seeing one of his best friends lost in front of him.

Zane knelled his eyes turning lifeless while Camula's clone, and Illusion Gate vanished which made Kevin collapsed on the floor beside Camula while Zane's key vanished before Zane vanished himself turning the doll in Camula's hand into a copy of him.

"That... no way." Syrus whispered in disbelief.

Kevin rose up turning to Camula where he glared, "You've just crossed the line with that one..."

"Oh, so the traitor wants to duel me next?" Camula questioned. "I should have guessed not even the Shadow Riders could be trusted. No matter, if you want to lose your soul to the Sacred Beasts as well I'll oblige, we can duel tomorrow."

At that a fog happens before suddenly all of them were transported outside the castle back at the lake.

Ulrich362: Well... that started nicely but went rapidly downhill.

bopdog111: And now Kevin will take a shot.

Ulrich362: Can he take down Camula?

bopdog111: Even with what it was that roar was?

Ulrich362: It didn't sound good, but something tells me it isn't quite so simple. Guess we'll find out soon, see you in the next chapter.
