The next morning Naruto was awoken by a pounding on the door. He groggily got up and out of bed, before walking towards the door and opening it. As he did, the annoyed form of Qrow was revealed on the other side.

"Good, you're up. Hurry and get dressed, we have a lot of things to do today." Said the man.

"What the hell are you waking me up so early for?" Questioned Naruto as he rubbed the sleep from his eyes.

"Oz sent me to get you and take you shopping. Since you might be here for a while he figured you might need some new clothes and stuff." Replied Qrow. While he didn't really want to have to be the one to do this, the payment was just too good to pass up.

"I guess I do need some clothes." Said the Shinobi as he looked over the baggy clothes he had been given last night, along with remembering his ruined jumpsuit. "I'll just be a minute." He finished as he started to close the door.

Before he could Qrow reached down and lifted a bag from beside the door. "Here, these are some clothes for you to change into for today. Once you're done I'll be taking you straight into the city where you can get what you need."

Naruto nodded as he took the bag and finally closed the door. It took him a few minutes to get ready. As he was finally dressed he exited the room to find Qrow leaning up against the wall waiting for him.

"I'm ready." He said. Qrow just turned around and began walking, with Naruto moving quickly to follow him. The two walked in silence before they soon reached the exit of the building.

It wasn't long before Naruto found himself standing in front of one of the flying machines that he had seen the previous day. He still couldn't help the amazement he felt when he looked at them.

"What exactly are these things?" Asked the blond as he continued to admire the machine. It was nothing like the flying machines in Spring Country. Qrow just gave the boy an amused look as he saw the face Naruto was making.

"It's called a Bullhead, and it's used to travel farther distances at a faster speed by flying. We'll be taking this one into the city." With that the man walked onto the Bullhead, with Naruto hesitantly following him onboard.

The blond couldn't help but admire the pretty comfortable looking interior. "This is amazing." He whispered to himself, though Qrow caught it.

"Yeah, it is. We should probably take our seats before takeoff." Was his reply as he walked over to one of the cushiony seats and sat down. Naruto was quick to take a nearby seat, though not one that was too close.

It wasn't long before Naruto heard the Bullhead begin making noise, followed by a feeling almost similar to when he was in the elevator. Being his first time flying on something like this, Naruto couldn't help but to grip onto his seat to try and calm himself down.

Qrow was quick to notice, or at least notice the metal of the armrest bending under the blonds grip. He knew that he had to do something to calm the kid down. "So, Naruto, why don't you tell me a bit more about yourself?" He asked.

His plan was to distract the kid by talking to him about random subjects and hope that it works. "Well, there's not much to tell. What do you wanna know?" Asked the small blond.

"Well, how about you tell me a bit about where you're from. You said it's name was the Hidden Leaf Village, right?" And with that the two talked about random subjects through the rest of the trip.

It wasn't long before they finally reached their destination. The two were quick to depart the Bullhead, with Naruto's eyes widening at the city before him, along with the technology.

"Wow, this place is so cool." Exclaimed Naruto in excitement. This place was way larger than back home, and all of the things he saw was almost too much. "Can we go exploring?" Finished the blond.

Qrow sighed at this. While he didn't really want to, he knew that Oz wanted the boy to trust them. "We might be able to do some sightseeing after we get you straightened out." Said Qrow with a sigh as he pulled his flask out and took a swig.

He was at least glad that Oz had given him access to the school's account, so he could compensate himself quite well. "Let's start off by getting you some clothes." Said Qrow as he lead the kid through the city.

Several times during their journey, Naruto stopped him and asked questions about the things that he was seeing, such as the automobiles. Qrow was a bit annoyed, but he knew he couldn't blame the kid for his curiosity.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity to Qrow, they reached the clothes shop. The two quickly went inside and approached the counter. The person manning the store was an elderly woman.

She had a tan complexion and was wearing a simple white dress with a blue apron over it. She stood at about 165cm, and had green eyes with white hair that was held up in a bun. "Good day. How may I help you?" Asked the woman.

"We're just here so that the kid can get some new clothes." Said Qrow who gestured to Naruto. The old woman then turned her attention to her potential customer.

"Oh, and what might you be looking for exactly?" She asked the young man since she sold clothes for both Hunters and civilians. She didn't know which one he was, so she wouldn't make any assumptions.

"Well anything is fine really, once it has orange in it." Said Naruto with his boisterous smile. The old woman smiled at this since she had quite a few articles of clothing that the boy might like.

"Are you looking for clothes suited for Hunters, or just normal clothes?" She asked. Naruto seemed to consider it for a second before Qrow replied.

"Why not get the kid some of both. You never know what might happen in the future, and it's good to be prepared." Said the old drunk.

"Yeah, why not?" Agreed Naruto since he wasn't really paying for it, and it was Qrow's suggestion, before another thought came to mind. "Can I get a design put on them as well?" He inquired to the old woman.

"Of course you can. I have no problem doing custom orders. What exactly did you have in mind?" She asked.

"Well, it's something that we wear back home." Started Naruto as he described the simple spiral that he wanted embroidered onto the clothes. The woman took notes of some of Naruto's preferences before showing him some clothes.

The two spent a few hours in the store with Naruto picking out clothes and deciding which ones he wanted his design on. He chose to have his Hunter attire embroidered mostly.

He would use those clothes for training and other things since he could tell that they were more sturdy than the civilian clothes. It wasn't long before the two of them finally left the shop with Naruto carrying a few bags.

"Damn, we spent more time in there that I thought we would." Grumbled Qrow since he hadn't thought that they'd spend so much time with the brat picking out clothes. Apparently the store had a lot of orange clothing.

Yeah, sorry about that. I was just surprised by all of the cool clothes she had." Said Naruto sheepishly while scratching the back of his head. He would have to come back to pick up the rest of his clothes in a few days since she had to embroider them.

Qrow just sighed at that. "It's fine, not like we can do anything about it now. What else do you think you might need?" Asked Qrow since his job was to get the kid what he needed.

Before Naruto could answer his stomach growled. "I guess that I forgot that I hadn't eaten yet." Grumbled Naruto as he was too excited in the store.

"Fine! Let's go get something to eat."

"Yes! Is there any place around here that sells ramen?" Asked the blond, excitedly. Qrow just sighed since he could already tell that this was going to be a long day. The only thing that kept him going was the expensive alcohol he was going to get for himself.

It was a few hours later that the two were finally finished with their activities for the day. The two now found themselves once more boarding a Bullhead to head back to Beacon. "Today was a long day." Whispered Qrow as he once more took a swig from his flask.

"Yeah, I'm beat." Agreed Naruto. He had gotten clothes, a few books for information, though he despised having to read them, and a lot more things. He then looked out the window, finally not being as afraid as he was at first.

Because of this he was actually able to enjoy the sight of this new world from a stunning angle. He would admit that it was actually quite beautiful. It wasn't long before he found himself once more thinking about home, and how he would get back.

Qrow was quick to notice the boys shift in emotion, and couldn't help but sigh. He blamed the fact that this kid was the same age as his niece and even acted a bit like one of them that made him do what he did.

He leaned over and put his hand on the boy's shoulder before he spoke. "Don't worry, I'm sure we'll figure this thing out. For now just take things one step at a time." He said, which brought a small smile to Naruto's lips.

"Yeah, I guess that's all I can really do for now." Naruto then went on to continue watching the view while Qrow sat back and observed the boy with a sad look on his face.

"Oz, I really hope you know what you're trying with this kid. I really don't think that things will go as easy as you believe." Thought the man to himself. He then sat back and began thinking on what the future might hold with their new visitor from another world.

It wasn't long before the two finally arrived back at Beacon. The two left the Bullhead and began walking towards the main school building. As they reached the area where they would have to split up, Qrow began to speak.

"One more thing, kid. You'll be coming to live with me soon, so be prepared to leave here." Said the man. This earned him a shocked look from Naruto.

"Wait, what? I thought that I'd be staying here at Beacon."

"This is a school for teens, So Oz didn't think that you'd be comfortable here. He also won't really have the time to look out for you, so I've been given the job."

"Alright, fine. When do we leave?"

In a few days once I can get a few things sorted." Naruto nodded in acceptance at this. He wasn't surprised that they wanted to keep an eye on him, that just made him more cautious of what he showed them.

"I'll be ready." Was the blonds reply as he turned and began to head back to his temporary room. As he approached the room he was quick to notice the form of Ozpin standing outside.

"Ah, you're back. I thought that you would've gotten more stuff." Said Ozpin as he noticed the few bags Naruto had.

"I bought some more clothes, but they're getting something added to them. I'll have to go and pick them up in a few days." Was Naruto's response. "Why are you here?" He finished.

"Oh, right. I brought you a gift." Said the headmaster as he pulled out a scroll from his pocket and handed it to Naruto. "I've also put a few things on it so that you can learn about this world more easily." Said the man.

Naruto looked over the scroll in his hand before looking back at Ozpin. "Thanks, I really appreciate it." He said with a smile.

"You're more than welcome. If there's anything else you need then don't hesitate to ask." Said Ozpin, and with that he left. Naruto just sighed before he tried to enter his room. He was surprised when the door didn't open, before he remembered how Ozpin had opened it.

He raised his new scroll up and passed it over the pad on the wall. There was a beep before the door swung open, with Naruto walking inside. He quickly rest his bags upon one of the empty beds and sat down on the one he had chosen for himself.

He couldn't help the sigh that escaped his lips. "What the hell am I supposed to do?" He asked himself. He literally had no idea how to handle this situation, but then he remembered someone who might be able to help him. The Nine Tailed Fox.

How to contact him, though. Every time that Naruto had ever faced the fox was in extreme life or death situations. So how else could he try and contact the fox? He decided to just wing it since he couldn't come up with anything.

So he sat and began to focus to try and reach the fox. Naruto sat there for what felt like forever trying to get into the seal, but his attempts were failing. With a heavy sigh Naruto finally decided to give it a rest for now.

His attention was then drawn to the scroll that Ozpin had given him. He contemplated if he should try and learn more about this world, or if he should just take a nap since he had been woken up pretty early that morning.

With another sigh he picked up the scroll and opened it. He didn't really know fully how to use it, but he was willing to learn. He soon got a bit of a hang for the tech and began going over whatever info he could.

While normally Naruto hated studying, his current situation was far too serious and dire for him to half ass. He only ever really acted up in school, and in general, for attention, so for now he would do his best to learn.

He sat in his room for hours going over many topics such as the history of Remnant, technology, Hunters, the different species that inhabited this world and a lot more. While he didn't remember everything he read and had mostly skimmed through the topics, he had a far better knowledge of the world than he had previously.

He let out a groan as he finally decided to call it a day. He would've normally been trying to find some dinner at this time, but for some reason he wasn't really hungry. So he just decided to get some rest.

"I wonder what everyone else is doing?" Thought the boy in his last moments of consciousness, before sleep overtook him. That night he had dreams of being back home with everyone he loved.

xxXXxx

It was four days later when Naruto returned to Vale to pick up his clothes with Qrow. Once this was finished the two boarded the Bullhead again, but this time they weren't going back to Beacon.

The aircraft took them to an island off the coast, where apparently Naruto would be living at for the rest of his stay. "Welcome to Patch, kid." Said the older man as he took a swig from his flask.

The two were quick to disembark before Naruto began following Qrow. He watched as the man was getting a lot of greetings from the people, and a lot of questions about him. Qrow just told everyone who asked that Naruto was his new student.

Everyone bought it since, apparently, Qrow actually was a teacher at the local school on the island. Naruto would've asked how an apparent alcoholic was allowed to work at a school, but then remembered that an alcoholic ran his entire village.

After a few minutes of walking the two came to a moderate one story home. "Well, kid, here it is. Your new home." Said Qrow as he went ahead and opened the door and entered.

Naruto slowly followed the man into the building. While he really didn't want to stay here, he had little choice in the matter. Not only did he have no money of his own, but also his knowledge of this world was too nonexistent.

So for now he'd stay here and learn what he can so that he might be able to find his way back home. "Yeah, thanks for having me." Was Naruto's reply. He then followed along as Qrow led him to a nice room.

"Well, this is your room. The bathroom is the door on the right down the hall, while my room is the one on the left. If you need something then just come and find me." Said Qrow as he then left so that Naruto could unpack.

Naruto entered the room and put his bags on the bed. He then took in his new room. He had a queen sized bed with two bureaus, one on either side of the bed. There was a large dresser that had a TV on it as well and a bi-fold door that led to the closet with the entire room being blue.

"Well, this is boring." Thought the blond, before he got an idea. He quickly walked back towards the door and peeked out to make sure that the coast was clear. Seeing that it was, he then proceeded to form a familiar cross shaped hand-sign.

"Shadow Clone Jutsu." He whispered and, in a puff of smoke, three clones appeared. "Alright you guys unpack while I go and try to see if I can find anything interesting on this island." Said Naruto.

"Sure thing, boss." Was the clones unanimous response. Naruto nodded and headed to the window which he would use to escape from before he stopped.

'Oh yeah, if Qrow comes then make sure he doesn't see more than one of you. I don't really want him knowing about my abilities yet since I don't fully trust him, but one of you stick around when you're done in case he comes and I'm not back yet." Said Naruto.

"We know that already. If you're not back and he comes we'll make sure he doesn't see anything." Said another clone, to which Naruto nodded. He then snuck out the window and headed towards the roof.

From there he picked a random direction and took off. He wanted to see how Hunters differed from Shinobi, so he guessed the school would be the best place for his first stop. First he would have to find it though.

Luckily that didn't take long since it was one of the largest buildings around, along with it having a pretty clear sign on it that read 'Signal Academy'. "Great, now let's see what these Hunters can do." Thought Naruto as he began moving closer to get a better view.

He wanted to see what the apparent defenders of Remnant were capable of, along with trying to see some of the weapons used in this world in person. He had found a few videos of Hunters, both in training and full, in action, but he wanted to see it first hand.

He silently made his way around the school and peeked into a few random classes, the tree walking exercise coming in handy. He was surprised to see that this school was just like the academy back home.

Naruto continued to wonder around the school before he came upon what looked like a training ground. He could see that the students were a bit older than him, maybe fifteen or so if he had to guess.

"This should be interesting." Thought the blond as he watched the students. He found himself quite amazed by what he saw. Crystals, dust if he was right, that allowed different element abilities, transforming weapons, and many different types of abilities.

He stayed in his little hiding spot until the end of school, observing all of the different classes that had come to use the training grounds. He wanted to get as good of an understanding of a Hunters capability as he could.

By the end of the training sessions Naruto was truly excited by what he had seen. He was especially intrigued in the gun aspects of the transforming weapons. While at first he was surprised by the speed the bullets took off in, he was sure that he could avoid them if he had to.

He also noticed that these Hunters weren't really as strong or as fast as a Shinobi. They mostly used their weapons to increase their speed, but it wasn't anything special. He could move so fast that he literally disappeared in the blink of an eye, so he knew he was fast.

"Well, I guess I better get back to the old man." Whispered Naruto as he noticed that he had been in his spot for a few hours. He got up and stretched his stiff muscles before he took off back in the direction of his new home.

After a few minutes he finally landed back on the roof of Qrow's house. He snuck over to where his room was and took a glimpse inside. He was glad to see that there was just a single clone sitting on the bed and going through the scroll that he had left behind.

He silently opened the window and crept inside, immediately catching the attention of his clone. "So, how was it? You find anything interesting?" Whispered the clone.

"Yeah, I did. I was at the academy and was watching them train. It was actually quite interesting." Replied Naruto.

"Yeah, well I've been here bored out of my mind. I had nothing else to do but try and read up some more on this world." Grumbled the clone since he had to read while the original got to watch people fight.

"Sorry, I wish there was some way that we could share our memories, but we can't." Said Naruto with a shrug. The clone just grumbled something under it's breath before it dispersed in the signature puff of smoke.

"Yeah, fuck you too." Replied Naruto to what the clone had said before he stopped with widened eyes. He hadn't heard what the clone had said, but he knew what he had. He also had memories that he was sure wasn't supposed to be there, like him sitting in this room reading.

"No way!" Exclaimed Naruto as he started coming to the only conclusion he could. He had to make sure, though. He quickly made another clone. "I'm going to leave the room, and I want you to do something, anything, and then disperse. Then I'll see if I know what you did."

The clone nodded and Naruto silently went into the hallway. He waited for a few minutes before he began getting a new set of memories. He quickly reentered the room and went to the closet and reached up on the shelf that was in it.

He quickly grabbed his scroll that the clone had hidden there, which he somehow knew the clone had done. "I can get the memories of my clones?" Questioned Naruto to himself.

He really couldn't believe it. All this time and he could do something like that. Why the hell didn't he know about this? He was sure that the Forbidden Scroll didn't mention that, so maybe this was a secret ability of the technique.

Then he truly began thinking about this newfound ability. Of how much of those D- Rank missions he could've avoided by using a clone, and still had the memories in case he was asked about it.

Of how much pranks he could've pulled and remembered every one and enjoy them. Of how many more jutsu he could study and learn all at the same time. And then, he screamed. "YOU'VE GOTTA BE SHITTING ME!" Shouted the blond with a look of annoyance on his face.

He immediately heard footsteps approaching, most likely Qrow. He was proven right when Qrow came rushing into the room with a huge sword. Naruto was quite surprised by the weapon, having not seen it before.

"Kid, what's wrong?" Asked the Hunter as he began looking around the room for any problems. Naruto just looked at the man with a bit of annoyance.

"I just found out something that would've made a world of a difference in my life, that's all.' Naruto grumbled, to which Qrow gave him a flat look.

"Really, that's it?" He asked as he lowered his sword.

"That's it." Qrow was quick to notice the bad mood that Naruto seemed to be in, so he came up with an idea.

"Hey, since I already have my weapon, and you seem to be in a bad mood, how about we do some sparring?" Asked Qrow. Not only would he try and get the kid to let off some steam, but he'd also get a better read on his skills.

Naruto thought about the offer for a minute. He didn't really want to reveal too much, but he knew that this would be a good chance to really see where he stood when compared to a Hunter.

He would just have to try and not show too much. With that final thought Naruto nodded. "Alright, I guess I can kick your ass a bit." Said Naruto. He had learned that Qrow didn't really give a shit about respect, which was good since Naruto didn't really like to give any.

Oh he had people he respected of course, Kakashi, Jiraiya and old man Third just to name a few, but he showed his respect to them in a different way when compared to what everyone else did.

"Oh, you're a cocky little shit aren't you." Grumbled Qrow. That was fine, he would just have to show the brat who was really in charge. "Let's go then." Said Qrow, before he was stopped by Naruto.

"Hey, no fair. You have your sword, but I don't have my weapons." Said Naruto. While he wouldn't normally complain about something like this, he still would feel better with some type of weapon against that huge sword.

"Oh yeah, that reminds me." Said Qrow with a snap of his fingers as he went back to his room. It was a few minutes later when he reemerged with two familiar pouches in his hand. "Oz gave me these to return to you." He said as he handed them to the blond.

"Sweet, my weapons pouches." Said Naruto who was happy to have his weapons back. Sadly a lot of his weapons were missing since his last fight, but what remained should be enough.

"Are you happy now?" Asked Qrow as Naruto strapped his pouches back into their proper places.

"Yep, now I can kick your ass even easier." Said Naruto with his foxy grin in place. Qrow just smirked at the boy's bravado.

"We'll see, brat." He said as he began leading them into the backyard. "Alright, here's what were going to do. "We'll both fight until one of us, most likely you, gives up. Everything is permitted, so don't hold back." Said Qrow as he took a relaxed stance.

This annoyed Naruto greatly since he was doing the same thing that Kakashi had done when team Seven was first formed, which was not taking him seriously. He hated when people looked down on him.

"Are you ready?" Asked Qrow, to which Naruto nodded. "Fine then, begin." He finished. Immediately Naruto was gone in a burst of speed, which actually surprised Qrow a bit. Naruto instantly reappeared in the air in front of him throwing a punch.

Qrow easily sidestepped the attack and tapped Naruto on the head when he had landed. Naruto was quick to jump back to get some distance. "You're actually pretty fast for someone you age. Is that from something like a Semblance, or is it natural?" He asked.

"Wouldn't you like to know." Was Naruto's reply as he had a smirk on his face, but his thoughts were different. "He could've killed me just now if this was a real fight. Just how good is he?" Wondered Naruto as he pulled out two kunai.

"I see you're getting a bit more serious, good." Said Qrow as he gave Naruto the gesture for come on with a smirk now on his face. Naruto crouched low before taking off, going even faster than he had previously.

He tried a straight stab, but he was evaded once more. This didn't discourage Naruto as he continued trying to slash that stupid smirk off of the man's face. He tried attacking from different angles randomly, but Qrow just dodged each one.

After almost five minutes of trying to get a hit in, and failing, Naruto decided to try something. He immediately went for another stab, and as expected Qrow dodged. Naruto smirked as he quickly kicked off the ground towards Qrow.

The mans eyes widened at the sudden maneuver as Naruto spun his body around and came in for an overhead kick. Qrow was quick to raise his arms in an x pattern above his head to block the blow.

This was exactly what Naruto wanted as he brought both his arms back and threw the kunais that were still in his grip. "Shit!" Whispered Qrow as he pushed Naruto off before having to lean back real far to dodge the projectiles.

Once more Naruto was expecting this. The second his feet hit the ground he disappeared in another burst of speed. He appeared above Qrow with his arm cocked back. "Take this, bastard." He said as he threw his punch forward.

"Wow, this kid actually put me in this type of position." Thought Qrow who was impressed by how Naruto had led him to where he wanted. He knew that he wouldn't be able to dodge due to the position he was in.

That didn't mean there was nothing he could do, however. With another smirk he quickly pulled his sword from his back and used the flat side as a shield to block the punch. The force of the blow pushed him into the ground and kicked up dust, but he received no damage.

He could've simply blocked using his hand, but he wanted to really begin testing the kid now. With that thought he quickly stood up while being covered by the dust cloud as the gears in his sword began spinning, with him transforming it into another mode.

Naruto quickly took this time to retreat. He hadn't been expecting Qrow to be able to draw his sword that quickly. He shook his hand a bit to get rid of the slight tingling in it. While he didn't really hurt the appendage, he did feel the impact a bit from hitting that sword.

Now he knew that the battle was going to take another turn. He knew that everyone had transforming weapons, but he wasn't sure what Qrow's turned into. For now he would wait instead of rushing in blindly.

Suddenly, Naruto heard a sound that he immediately recognized. His body began moving after the loud bang before he could even try and look for a bullet. Soon Naruto found himself running around while dodging shots from Qrow.

"Shit, that thing's annoying." Thought Naruto as he continued running while keeping his eyes on Qrow, but he was shocked when the man disappeared. Naruto didn't have to wonder long where Qrow went as he appeared right before him.

He had his sword drawn back and was already beginning his swing, like a batter swinging at a ball. Naruto knew that he couldn't stop, and to try and turn to dodge would probably cause him even more problems.

So instead he dropped to his knees and leaned back, successfully sliding under the swing and dodging the attack, while watching the blade as it swung overhead. He was quick to jump back to his feet and spin around.

Once more he found the spot where Qrow should be standing empty. It was his instincts that allowed him to move to the left, which was how he dodged another sword swing from Qrow.

Now the two combatants roles were reversed, with Naruto dodging while Qrow tried to cut into him. The two went on and on, before Qrow's Semblance worked its magic. Naruto had somehow got his foot caught on a rock, which caused him to begin to trip.

Qrow, who was already mid-swing, could only widen his eyes along with Naruto as the blade moved closer. Then Qrow watched in horror as Naruto was cut in two. Qrow stared at the bisected body in absolute horror.

"Oh no, I didn't mean for the kid to die." Thought Qrow in horror as he despised killing. He especially didn't want to, or had any intention to, kill a kid. Before he could begin to feel too bad, he felt a hard punch to his chin.

He was immediately sent flying, having not seen the attack coming since he was distracted. He slid across the ground due to the force of the blow before he managed to flip up onto his feet.

He looked at his assailant and was surprised to see the form of Naruto. He then looked at where he was sure Naruto's body should have landed, but there was nothing there but a log that was cut in two.

"Wh-What the hell was that?" Asked Qrow in a bit of shock.

"Substitution Jutsu, a Shinobi never leaves home without it." Grinned back Naruto as there was no point in hiding it since the man had seen it. He watched as Qrow looked between him and where the log was repeatedly before he let a smile cross his lips.

"I concede this match. That last move of yours actually caught me by surprise." Said Qrow, who didn't really feel like continuing the match right now. That was way too close for his comfort.

Naruto just looked at the man in confusion. "Aw, come on. I know you can keep going, so let's go." Said Naruto as he took up his stance once more. Qrow just nodded his head in the negative while holding his hands up in surrender.

"No, I think I've seen enough for today. I've also seen the areas that you need to work on, let's go back and I'll tell you about them." Said Qrow. This caught Naruto's attention immediately.

"And why would you care about that?" Asked Naruto with a bit of suspicion.

"I'm sure you realized what the true point of this spar was, so I'll skip that. The reason I care is because I've decided to train you while I can. You remind me of my niece a bit with your attitude, and I can already tell that you'd be a force to be reckoned with if you got some guidance."

Naruto couldn't help the widening of his eyes. Someone that was actually willing to train him was actually quite new to him still. Besides Kakashi, the Pervy-sage, and Ebisu to some extent, nobody ever really tried to train him.

"You're really going to train me, like actual training?" asked Naruto, to which Qrow nodded. Naruto couldn't help but wonder how much stronger he could get with Qrow training him. He knew that if it wasn't for his surprise use of the Substitution Jutsu that he probably would've lost their spar.

"Yeah, I am. You have a lot of potential. If you were fighting someone in your age group, or even a few years older, then I'm sure you would've won easily." Said the man while giving Naruto praise.

Naruto just smiled since he didn't really get praised much. "Alright, so what will I be learning?" He asked excitedly. He couldn't wait to learn everything he could for when he got back home.

Then, he'd track that bastard Sasuke down and beat his face in so he could take him back to the village. He couldn't help the cruel smirk that appeared on his face at the thought of getting back at that bastard for all the shit he had caused.

"I'll tell you all about it in depth when we get back inside." Was the reply from Qrow as he began making his way back towards the house. Naruto was quick to follow after grabbing his two kunai since he was extremely excited.

He might not really trust Qrow or any of the others fully, but that didn't mean that he would turn down training that could potentially turn him into a badass. He wasn't that stupid.

He quickly followed the man back inside to find out what he would be teaching him. The two went over everything over a quick snack that Qrow had prepared. By the time they were done, Naruto's excitement had skyrocketed even more.

After going over the training plan Naruto headed back to his room. "Wow, to think that I'm actually going to get training." He said to himself, still not fully believing it. Qrow had told him that his full training would begin in a week, since he apparently wanted to get something for the blond.

Naruto couldn't help but wonder what it could possibly be, but nothing came to mind. He decided to put those thoughts aside as he still had one more thing he wanted to keep trying.

He quickly grabbed his scroll, before making the necessary hand-sign. "Shadow Clone Jutsu." He whispered, and instantly five clones appeared at random places in the room. "Alright, everyone begin doing some kind of studying. I wanna see how this memory thing works and if there's a limit to it."

Naruto got quiet salutes from his clones as they each began doing some type of studying, including the original. It was a few hours later that Naruto decided to call it quits. "Alright, let's see what we've got." Said Naruto as he dispelled all of the clones.

He instantly received five new sets of memories. He smiled brightly at his newfound ability. There was a lot of things he could do now with this new ability. As Naruto finally finished sorting through the new memories he laid back on his bed.

Now was a good time to get some rest. He had had a very eventful day, and now had some good plans for the future. All things considered he could count today as a good day, regardless of his current situation.

With that Naruto began to drift off to sleep. He had done a lot today, so he was a bit tired. He was quick to fall into the darkness of sleep. That night he dreamed of kicking Sasuke's ass and getting a kiss from Sakura.

Blue eyes immediately snapped open when the owner felt itself laying in water. Naruto groaned as he sat up, immediately recognizing the long corridors before him "I actually managed to get here." Said Naruto in a bit of surprise.

He quickly got up and began heading in the direction that he somehow knew to go. He traveled down many different hallways before he finally reached his destination, the cage that held the Nine Tailed Fox.

He quickly walked up to the bars, though not to close, before he screamed into them. "HEY, YOU STUPID FOX. I NEED TO ASK YOU A FEW QUESTIONS THAT YOU MIGHT BE ABLE TO ANSWER!"

"Would you shut the fuck up, you whiny brat." Grumbled the loud voice of the fox, a voice that sent shivers down Naruto's spine, but now it sounded weak for some reason. Naruto somehow found himself walking a bit closer to the bars of the cage.

He quickly took a peek inside, before his eyes widened in shock. "WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO YOU?" He shouted as he took in the form of the fox, or what was left of the fox at least.

The fox actually looked like someone had removed all of the meat in his body, leaving only bones and fur covered skin to hold him together. "Don't worry about what happened to me, there's nothing you can do about it." Said the fox.

"What the hell do you mean by that? If something could do that to you, then…" Naruto trailed off at the end when he actually thought about the implications. The fox was the strongest thing he knew, so what the hell happened to him.

"All you need to do is get stronger, or we'll both die. There's a lot more going on in this world that you realize, and you can't afford to be weak." Said the fox. He had only awoken a day ago, but he was glad to see his host was doing some training.

"What are you so worried about?" Asked Naruto in worry. If the being before him was worried, then there had to be a reason for that.

"I said don't worry about that. You just need to get stronger. As long as I'm trapped in here I can't use my full power, so you're our only chance of surviving what's out there. Unless you want to let me go, then I can handle the problem myself."

"You want me to get stronger, but you won't tell me why? What the hell has you of all things so worried?" Demanded Naruto in a more forceful tone.

"I'm sure that you'll find out soon, and if you're not ready then we're both dead." Was the only reply the fox gave before it turned around and laid down, completely ignoring Naruto.

Naruto couldn't help the feeling of dread that began creeping into his heart. What was coming, what did the fox know, and why did it involve him? Did it have something to do with how he got to this world, and could it potentially help him get back home?

These were just some of the thoughts that ran through Naruto's mind as he just sat in the water that was on the floor. He stayed in front of the cage for what felt like hours, trying to get at least some inkling of what was coming.

He soon felt himself beginning to fade from the mindscape, signaling that he was about to wake up. Sadly, his good mood was now ruined. He couldn't shake the worry of what was coming, and if he'd be ready for it.

Over the following week Naruto began to take his training even more seriously. For now it was still light training, with him and Qrow having a spar every day after school, since Qrow had went back to work.

Naruto had also become quite the talk of the town in the last couple of days. Apparently the news of Qrow Branwen returning with a young kid who he claimed was his student was big news.

Naruto had also continued watching the students of Signal, where he had taken notice of a few things. Those things being three people specifically. Those People were Ruby Rose, Yang Xiao Long, and Taiyang Xiao Long who were Qrow's nieces and brother-in-law.

Ruby was the youngest of the three, being only ten years old. She had short black hair with silver eyes and wore black shorts with a red shirt with black shoes. She was one of Qrow's nieces.

The second was a blond haired girl who's hair reached almost to her knees with lilac eyes. She wore brown shorts and a black shirt and seemed to be the same age as Naruto himself was, and she seemed just as rowdy as him as well, even enjoying pranks.

The last person, and the only male, was the oldest by far. He had graying blond hair and blue eyes. He wore brown cargo shorts, a dark brown belt, black shoes, and a tan dress shirt with a leather vest over it. He also wore some type of armor on his right arm.

Naruto watched the four people talking, but wasn't really trying to listen in on the conversation. At least not until he was brought up in it, that is. "Hey, I heard that you have a new student?" Inquired Tai, to which caught his daughters attention.

"Hey, no fair. I thought that I was suppose to be your student." Asked an angry Ruby, though it came off as more cute than menacing. Qrow just sighed before he answered.

"Yeah, I do. And you're still my student Ruby. In fact I was going to start upping your training in the next couple days." Said Qrow, which got the young girl to beam happily.

"Really, you mean it?" Asked Ruby in excitement.

"Of course I do, Pipsqueak." Was Qrow's response. His use of that nickname got the girl to go back to glaring at him cutely.

"What's this kid like?" Asked Yang as she wanted to know.

" Surprisingly, you two seem to have a lot in common. You're both actually a lot alike, even being the same age. I'm sure that you two would get along great." Said Qrow.

"Yeah, well I'll be the judge of that." Was Yang's response.

"So when will we get to meet the kid?" Asked Tai, since he really wanted to meet the kid that got Qrow's attention.

"Well, he's back at the house right now. If you guys want to then you can come and meet him." Said Qrow since he really didn't see anything wrong with that. His job was to watch over Naruto, not treat him like a secret.

"Okay, we don't have anything else to do." Said Tai, who received nods of agreement from his daughters. With that the quartet began heading in the direction of Qrow's house. Naruto just sighed at this.

While normally he would like the chance to meet new people, for now he had other things to do. He quickly made his way towards the forest. He made sure that he was deep enough to not catch anyone's attention.

After doing a quick scan to make sure that there wasn't anyone else in the vicinity, Naruto once more performed one of his trademark jutsu. Instantly the forest were filled with clones.

Alright, you all know the drill. Pair up and begin practicing using the tips that Qrow gave us." Said Naruto. The clones immediately followed his orders and began sparring with each other while trying out the many tips that Qrow had given during their spars.

One of the main things that Qrow had said he needed to work on was his Tai-jutsu. At first Naruto disagreed, but had to accept it after getting his ass handed to him for an entire afternoon by Qrow who only used hand-to-hand.

He had also pointed out several problems that Naruto had while doing so. That had been an embarrassing day for Naruto. Nobody had ever shown him just how bad his fighting style was.

He couldn't really complain too much though since his fighting style had helped him go up against the likes of Sasuke and Neji, while holding his own quite well. He wasn't sad about the criticism, just glad that he could better himself.

Naruto also found himself quite thankful that he had learned about the memory sharing the clones had, since it allowed him to practice even better. Everything they learned, so did he when they dispelled.

He had even began making some when he knew that he and Qrow were going to spar. They would observe the fight so that Naruto could see from an observers point of view where all he made his mistakes, along with seeing how Qrow fought without the fear of having their faces mashed in.

That was the main reason that he had gotten so much better in the past week, something that even Qrow had applauded him for doing. He just couldn't wait till Qrow actually began teaching him to fight better.

He would abuse the hell out of this shared learning ability. With a sigh Naruto continued to watch as his clones fought while trying to use the advice they had received to their fullest.

As his clones trained Naruto began working out. He knew that he needed to become both faster and stronger than he was now, so that he could handle whatever it was that had the fox worried.

He had asked Qrow if there were any weights he could get, since he saw how well that method worked for Lee. While he wasn't trying to copy the Green Beast like Sasuke had, he still respected the older boy's strength and speed.

He actually had even wondered if he could figure out how the Eight Gates worked, but had discarded the idea. The fox hadn't really been talkative during the past week, but that was nothing new for Naruto. He had gone almost twelve years without talking to the fox,

"I hope that all of this will be enough when whatever comes." Thought the blond to himself as he continued his workout. He didn't know what he was preparing for, but he wanted to be as ready as he could.

Night had already fallen by the time Naruto returned to Qrow's house. He was glad that the man was alone, since he really didn't feel like meeting anyone. He walked into the house and immediately caught the attention of Qrow.

"Hey, brat, where've you been?" Asked the Hunter.

"Out doing a bit of training." Naruto then moved into the kitchen to get something to drink.

"I had a feeling that was what you were doing." Said Qrow. "I had some people that wanted to meet you, but I guess that'll have to wait."

"Yeah, sorry about that." Said Naruto as he was really sorry, but he had more important things to worry about.

"Don't worry about it, though I do have something for you." With that Qrow pulled a box out from somewhere. He gestured towards the box for Naruto to open it, which he did. He silently wondered what it was.

He was quite surprised when he saw a sword that looked almost exactly like Qrow's, with the only difference being the color scheme. The handle was orange, and so were the edge of the blade and the engravings. Also the part that allowed you to be able to see the gears inside it was covered by a red spiral that spun instead.

Naruto couldn't help but marvel the weapon that was now in his hands. "Wow, this is incredible." Said Naruto as he continued to observe the weapon.

"Yeah, I figured if I'm gonna train you, then I might as well go all out."

"But, why? I'm not even really the sword type." Questioned Naruto curiously.

"That might be true, but it's always good to have a more broad array of abilities. Besides, the sword isn't the weapon that I really want you to learn to use." Naruto could only nod in agreement at the first part, before looking at the man curiously about the second.

"Then why give me a sword?" Asked Naruto.

"I didn't say that I don't want you to learn how to use a sword, just that it wasn't what I really want to train you with." Replied Qrow before he took the weapon from Naruto. Naruto watched as he did something before the spiral started spinning.

He then watched as the blade began to separate before changing.

By the time the transformation was complete, Naruto was surprised to see the dangerous and badass looking Scythe that took its place. "Woah, that's so cool." Said the blond at the appearance of the scythe.

The fact that it had his favorite color just added to the appeal of the weapon. "Yep, this is one of the most dangerous weapons in the world." Said Qrow, which surprised Naruto greatly.

He had never really seen someone use a scythe before, with the closest being Tenten during her fight with Temari, but that was completely different. "Is a scythe really that dangerous?" Asked Naruto.

"In the right hands, and with the right training, yeah. Only the best of the best can truly master using a scythe, so it's a good indicator of how good someone is." Said Qrow proudly.

So, when do we start?" Asked Naruto excitedly. While he really preferred Tai-jutsu or his kunai and shuriken, he knew that it was a good idea to have other things to fall back on.

"We'll be starting tomorrow along with my niece, Ruby." Said Qrow. This caused Naruto's excitement to die a bit. While he had no problem with the young girl, he didn't really want to train with her.

"Is there any way that we can avoid doing that?" Asked Naruto, to which Qrow raised an eyebrow.

"Why would you want to do that?" He asked.

"Well I just want to see who's better." Said Naruto as an excuse. "See the difference between two people that were taught the same things by the same person without the others influence."

Qrow could tell that that excuse was mostly bullshit, but he also found the thought quite appealing. Both Naruto and Ruby had completely different personalities, so how would they both turn out with him teaching them.

Would they be the same, or would they each put their own spin on his teachings like he had a feeling they would. While he didn't like the idea of more work, he could also tell that Naruto wanted to train alone.

For now he would respect the boy's wishes. "Fine, but you better make sure that you take this seriously. I know Ruby will, and I'd actually like to see you two go at it." Said Qrow as he actually wanted to see the two spar when they were done training.

"Thank you, and I won't disappoint you. That's a promise." Said Naruto with a happy smile on his face. Qrow just silently wondered what the kid was trying to hide. He watched as Naruto put his new weapon back in the box before preparing to head off to his room.

"Wait, aren't you forgetting something?" Asked Qrow, to which Naruto looked at him in confusion.

"No, I don't think so."

"Yes, you are. You forgot to give your weapon a name." Said Qrow. He could still see the confusion on Naruto's face, so he pulled out his own blade. "This is Harbinger." He finished as he held his weapon.

"I didn't really know that I'm supposed to give it a name." Said Naruto as he looked down at the weapon in hand. He then began trying to come up with a name for his weapon, but nothing really popped into his mind. "I'll give it a name later."

Qrow just nodded at that since coming up with a name that suited you was quite hard. "Alright, but let me know when you do." Said Qrow. Naruto nodded and once more continued on his way to his room.

He would need to take a shower to get rid of the dirt and grime, before he went to get something to eat. He would also begin doing a more in depth search on trying to find a way back home.

Deep within a random forest, in a makeshift camp, a meeting was being held. This meeting was between Raven Branwen, leader of the Branwen Tribe, and one of the scouts of the tribe.

"Tell me again what it was you found out?" Asked Raven, to which the scout gulped nervously.

"It's exactly as I said, Ma'am. Your brother has taken in a new student that is living with him and matches the description of a young boy that was seen on the grounds of Beacon Academy. Apparently Ozpin himself has some type of interest in him, if the rumors are to be believed." Said the scout.

"Hmm, how interesting." Thought Raven. If this boy was worth something to that bastard Ozpin, then she might have to get someone to pay the boy a little visit to see why. Of course that went with the chance of gaining the attention of her brother and him, but it was a price she was willing to pay.

She would've probably found out this information when she went on one of her secret visits to see Yang, but she had been a bit busy over the past few months. She hadn't made a single trip to Patch in all this time.

There was a silence for a minute before she asked another question to the still kneeling scout. "Tell me, how old did you say the boy appeared to be?" She asked. The scout immediately perked up as he prepared to answer.

"According to our sources, the boy appears to be around twelve at the oldest." Said the scout.

"So he's also the same age as her. I wonder if brother dear has introduced the two of them yet?" She pondered to herself.

"I'm sorry, Ma'am, but I didn't catch that." Said the scout while wanting to make sure that he didn't miss any important instructions.

"It was nothing that concerns you. Leave, now." Was her response as the scout quickly got up and tries to leave the tent, before Raven came up with a great idea. "Wait, fetch me Vernal." She finished.

The scout gave a small bow before immediately going to do as his leader commanded. This gave Raven some time to think. While originally she had other plans for the young girl, this new development was far too important to just leave alone.

She would've gone herself, but she needed to talk to the boy. She wasn't willing to reveal herself anywhere near Patch, if only to avoid what she had left behind long ago. Instead she would find a way to have the boy brought to her instead so that she could try and find out why he was interesting to Ozpin.

It wasn't long before the young girl finally appeared in her tent. "You called for me?" Asked the girl with the utmost respect for her leader. This caused a smile to appear on Raven's face.

"Yes, I did. I just received some valuable information, and I'm going to need you to go on a long term mission for the Tribe." Said Raven. While she would've wished to keep the young girl closer, she would have to let her go for her plan to work.

"What exactly does this mission entail?" Asked the younger female.

"Nothing much, really. Just some espionage, some infiltrating, and some kidnapping. Nothing that you aren't used to." Said Raven. This caught the young girl's attention.

"Who exactly is the target?" She asked.

"A young boy by the name of Naruto Uzumaki. You are to find any info you can on him, befriend him if you must, and then bring him to me as long as you don't draw in any attention from certain individuals." Said Raven.

Vernal immediately knew what the older woman had been referring to. "Fine, I accept. Are you going to get someone else to act as your decoy?" Asked the girl since her main job was literally to act like a Maiden if she had to so nobody knew that Raven was the true Maiden.

"No, I'm not. Besides, this little endeavor shouldn't take someone of your caliber too long to achieve." Said Raven while praising the girl who was essentially her right hand woman.

This got the young girl to beam at the praise. She was always glad to hear that she was doing good, and didn't want to bring any shame or problems to the Branwen name. Raven also gave a small smile to the young girl to show her praise was genuine.

"What is my exit strategy?" Asked Bernal as she was trying to get back to the mission at hand.

You'll be carrying a scroll with you. As soon as the opportunity arrives for the boy to be taken without any notice you will contact me. From there I will simply portal to you and pick you up."

"When do I leave?"

"Immediately. The sooner you get to Patch and retrieve the boy, the sooner you'll be able to come back and be by my side."

"As you wish. Then I will take my leave immediately." Said Vernal. When Raven nodded her acceptance she quickly turned and exited the tent.

"Thing's really are beginning to get interesting. Hopefully, if this boy is useful, I can show him the true nature of Ozpin and those who blindly follow him." Were the final words spoken by Raven before she went back to her thoughts.

xxXXxx

Okay, I'm going to end it there. There were a lot of things happening in this chapter, and I hope that you guys can catch them all. Also, Naruto now has the attention of another one of the most dangerous people in Remnant.

Don't expect this kidnapping to be some simple affair. This is Naruto that we're talking about, and he never makes anything easy. Also yes, I have some major plans for Vernal in this story.

There's also the fact that I said neither Ruby or Yang will know Naruto Of course they would've heard about him, but neither of them will ever meet him until the beginning of canon since Naruto won't really be staying on Patch fulltime for the next five years.

Also I know that some of you might feel that Naruto found out the secret of the shadow clone memory thing too easily, but I always found the fact that Naruto, who used clones more than anyone, never figured that out on his own to be bullshit.

I believe that the memory transfer was something that they just came up with for Shippuden, which was why it was never used before that. Also, when that ability was revealed, it just made me think that both Kakashi and Jiraiya were even worse teachers.

Do you know how badass Naruto was supposed to be by using that during the time-skip? He literally showed that he could achieve decades worth of chakra control training in less than a month, so imagine two or three years.

Anyway I'm beginning to ramble so with that please read, review, and enjoy.
