Introduction: Yugi Muto

Far away from the golden castle & the raging scream of the sea's king, lies a dark sea place filled with old, damaged ships that once sailed over the sea, only to end up at the bottom of it. But that wasn't what was interesting about this place, what was truly interesting was what or who was swimming towards the abandoned ships. He appeared to be a merman, with a satchel on him & looking over one of the old ships, while putting his hands on a head cringle of another ship & silently singing a beautiful tune. Though, this merman wasn't any ordinary merman, he is unique.

This young merman had stood at a height of 5'2 ft. Though, it wasn't his size that made him more unique than other merman's or mermaids. The little merman's voice sounded as sweet as an angel & as soft as a flower, & held a bright glow to the boy's pale, beautiful complexion. The little merman's face fit with his voice perfectly. He is beautiful, too much for any boy to be. He possessed a petit build; a slim upper body, smooth very little muscles, & slender arms, but a soft short body. His smooth, milky skin is absolutely flawless, with no imperfections in sight with a lavender-amethyst tail. He has similar hair to Yami's, except the boy's looked & felt softer & sleeker, much like the purest silk. His hair is graced with a lovely ebony star-shaped spikes tipped with amethyst sprouted on his head. Golden bangs like gentle sunbeams framed his cherubic face. His face is round & cherubic with soft features, holding onto to an amount of baby fat, but held slightly feminine features, making him look more lovely. Flower-petal like lips contrasted nicely with his creamy skin. The lovely bangs & gently rounded his face served as the perfect frame for his eyes; two large, oval-shaped orbs a lovely shade of amethyst, framed with the longest sooty black lashes. The boy's pale skin & light bangs only made those stunning amethyst gem eyes glow brighter, radiating purity & innocence than is brighter than the sun. Yet, deep within those innocent eyes, glowed a spark of a fiery spirt of a compassionate person. But, past that was a sort of large longing for a type of freedom that he couldn't have. This beautiful boy's name is Yugi Muto, sixth grandson of King Muto.

Yugi is frequently known as the Sea's beauty & most precious gem, with his beauty & innocence. Yugi wasn't all perfect, he had few flaws, but he was the Sea's brightest gem & that was enough. He is 17 years old, the youngest of all of his siblings & the most spirted out of them.

Yugi is currently looking over at the banged up ship in fascination & excitement. But, he was cut off by his thoughts, when he heard the familiar voice of his best friend.

"Yugi! Wait for me!" Said the voice.

"Malik, please hurry! I really want to check out the ship." Yugi said, having a sort of plea in his voice.

"*Pants* You know I can't swim that fast, especially when you get excited." the male said, whose name had been revealed.

This male who has been revealed is named, Malik Ishtar. He stood at 5'11 ft & is 18 years old. He has sandy hair that rested in a spikey mop atop his head. His skin has an earthen brown & had a somewhat muscular upper body. His voice was a bit powerful, but a bit of a sinister tone as well. He has dark-lilac colored eyes that aren't sharp, but aren't quite big either. He has a very light-purple & somewhat sandy tail with two dark-lilac colored stripes running down the sides of his tail. Malik was known for not only being the youngest grandson's best friend, but for his family's status in the kingdom. His older sister, Ishizu, was a healer at the palace. She stood at a height of 5'9, but looked slightly taller than Malik & is 26 years old. Along with his adopted older brother, Odion, he helped Ishizu with ingredients to make healing potions & finding food for the merpeople, along with protecting Malik from danger. Odion stood a height of 6'2 ft & is 31 years old. Malik has always loved his family, but he was more of a solo person & a bit of an adventure, mostly for his own, along with a slight trickster.

Currently, Malik is out of breath & has finally reached his friend, only to have Yugi point at the banged up ship.

"There it is, Malik! Isn't it fantastic!" Yugi said, excitingly.

"Yeah, sure. It's great. Now let's get out of here, I'm not liking this place one bit." Malik said uneasy, & proceeded to turn around & swim away.

"Come on, Malik! You're not getting cold fins now, are you?" Yugi says slightly teasing Malik, while grabbing his hand & swimming towards the ship.

"Who, me?! No way. It's just...the place looks damp &...boring. Yeah. You know me, I only like exciting places." Malik says, trying to reason with Yugi as the kept swimming towards the ship.

"Really?" Yugi said slightly teasing, not that Malik noticed.

"Yeah. Plus, I think I'm coming down with something...Yeah, I got this cough. *Coughs*" Malik says, while pretending to cough sickly.

Yugi looks into the little window of the ship, then looks back at Malik with a 'Are you kidding me?' look, but ultimately lets it go. He then proceeds to go into the hole, but turns to Malik.

'Alright, I'm going inside. You can make sure that we are alone & watch out for predators. Ok?' Yugi whispers, already sliding into the open-broken window.

'Okay. You go & I'll stand watch' Malik whispers back, looking relieved to be outside.

But as soon as Yugi left, Malik felt the vibration a bit away from them. Malik quickly turned around & saw nothing. Malik was panicking a little & tried to calm down, only to feel more vibrations. Malik then proceeded to launch himself into the open-broken window, only to get stuck, because he had a slightly thick hip part of his tail.

"Yugi, I can't...*Grunts* I mean...Yugi, help!" Malik said, trying to get unstuck, before admitting defeat.

Luckily, Yugi hadn't swam far & heard Malik, then swam back to him. Yugi slightly giggled at his stuck friend.

"Oh, Malik." Yugi says as he is trying to pull Malik out.

'Yugi. Did you feel anything out there?' Malik whispered to Yugi.

"Don't be ridiculous, Malik. I doubt anything is out here." Yugi says, still pulling Malik.

"I'm not ridiculous, just cautious." Malik tried to justify, as he was finally pulled into the ship.

Neither of them noticing, the creature that appeared when Malik had entered the ship.

Yugi & Malik started to swim around the inside of the ship looking for anything interesting. Then, they saw the stairs that seem to lead to another room, & both of them proceeded to swim into it. As they entered, they swam around it, Yugi looking at everything in fascination, while Malik was looking at everything in caution.

"This is great. I mean, I really love this. Excitement, adventure, danger around every corner...AHHHHHHHH" Malik said, trying to be less cautious, only to scream as a sort of hand fell on his shoulder.

Malik back up against the ship's wall, & looked at the ground, to see a heavy glove. He then saw that the wall he backed up to caused the wood ceiling to slightly break & fall. Malik then saw a piece of the wooden ceiling was about to fall on a worried Yugi, who turned when his friend screamed.

"YUGI! LOOK OUT!" Malik screamed.

Malik then swam as fast as he could & grabbed Yugi, just in time as the ceiling was falling apart. Malik then proceeded to pant, while cradling Yugi in his arms.

"Oi, are you ok?" Malik asked, looking at Yugi.

"Y-Yeah, I'm fine. Thanks." Yugi says, slightly shaken from almost getting crushed.

"Your welcome." Malik said, with a smile.

Yugi then looked up & gasped, while tugging on Malik's arm to look up. Malik looked a bit confused, but looked up anyway. Both of them saw that the broken ceiling revealed another room. Both of the teenagers began to swim up & entered the newly discovered room, which looked like a captain's chart room with a big, still glassed window. As they popped their heads to the broken ceiling, both of them looked around the room, until something caught Yugi's eye.

"Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. Have you seen anything so wonderful in your entire life?!" Yugi says with fascinations & excitement, while holding a sort of utensil that he has never seen before.

"Wow! That's pretty cool! But, uh..what is it exactly?" Malik asked, also fascinated by the newly discovered item.

"I don't really know, but I bet that Marik does." Yugi said, whiling putting the item in his satchel & swimming towards an open crate.

But, Yugi didn't notice a sharp fin from behind them, but Malik somewhat saw it. Malik immediately turned around, to only see nothing.

"D-Did you see that?" Malik asked shaken a bit in fright

Malik was starting to really panic & turned to Yugi, who was still looking in the crate, & tried to speak to him. Only to have Yugi speak again.

"I wonder what this one is?" Yugi asked himself, while inspecting a smoking device.

"Yugi, come on. We really have to go." Malik said, tension in his voice.

"Oh, come on, Malik. Nothing is going to happen to us." Yugi said, trying to reassure his friend.

"But-" Malik said, only being cut off, when he saw a large shadow behind him.

Malik gulped & slowly turned around, to only see a large shark. Before, Malik could scream, the shark immediately chopped at the window, breaking the glass. Malik started to dodge the shark while screaming, finally getting Yugi's attention.

"SHARK! SHARK! BY THE SEAS, WE'RE GONNA' DIE!" Malik screamed, while dodging the shark's bites.

Yugi looked at his best friend in fright & shock. The shark saw Yugi & proceeded to attack him. Malik saw this & immediately swam as fast as he could towards Yugi, luckily grabbing him in time as the shark almost chopped at Yugi. Malik swam around the room with Yugi in his arms, & kicked an old table with his fin into the shark's mouth, then proceeded to swim, while the shark had its teeth into the table.

As Malik began to swim back up into the broken floorboard, he then let go of Yugi, trusting him to swim on his own. They both swam back to the stairs & back into the hallway. Only for the shark to spring up from the floorboards & almost bite Malik. Yugi & Malik began to turn around & swim back, until Yugi's satchel got stuck on a piece of wood. Yugi saw this & swam back to get it, before the shark could get him. Yugi & the shark were close to each other, while Malik looked behind him, to see Yugi getting his satchel, but also the shark heading Yugi's way. Malik got scared at this, but got relieved to see that Yugi got his satchel in time & swam back to him. They both headed towards the small window, in which they previously entered from. Only to have Malik stuck in again.

"Oh, shit!*Grunts*" Malik swears, his hip part of his tail stuck again.

"Try pushing yourself!" Yugi says, swimming full force behind Malik.

Yugi swims with all of his force & pushes Malik through the window, thankfully getting Malik out. Yugi then swam right after, just managing to escape the shark, just as it full on bulldozes its way through the wall.

"AHHHHHHH" Malik & Yugi scream as they try to dodge around the shark.

Yugi & Malik keep swimming forward, going around rocks & Malik trying to throw light debris & rocks at the shark to slow it down. The both teenagers both swam up & around the main topmast of another ship trying to lose the shark that was hot on their tails. As they kept going around & to the top, Yugi ducked under the yard as he swam, but Malik swam right into it, getting unconscious & started to fall down. Yugi & the shark saw this, & both of them swam to get to Malik. One trying to save him & the other trying to eat him. Yugi managed to catch Malik first, grabbing him & swimming away from the shark. Yugi wasn't as strong as Malik to swim with a person in his arms, which made Yugi a bit slower & closer for the shark to chomp at him. Yugi was starting to panic more & tried to think of what to do.

(What should I do? What should I-Wait!) Yugi thought frantically, before seeing something.

Yugi saw from a bit of a distance an old anchor resting deep in the sea sand. He saw the hole of the anchor, that was big enough to slip him & Malik to fit through, but not enough for the shark.

(That's it!) Yugi thought with a smile, & quickly swam to the hole of the anchor, Malik still unconscious in his arms.

Yugi swam as fast as he could, with the shark hot on his fins. It looks like the shark is about to chomp on Yugi's tail. But, Yugi throws his satchel through the hole & successfully manages to swim him & Malik through the hole of the anchor. The shark, however, didn't make it through the whole way. The shark only manages to have part of his head through the hole.

As the shark struggles to get free, Malik finally wakes up & sees himself in Yugi's arms. Malik starts to pull away from Yugi's arms, as Yugi smiles at his conscious friend.

"You okay?" Yugi asks, worried.

"Yeah. Don't worry. By the way, nice job trapping the shark." Malik says, smiling at his best friend.

Yugi blushes slightly, the lovely shade of pink covering his creamy skin in a beautiful color. Yugi grab's his satchel from the ground & smiles shyly & apologetic at the shark, then proceeds to swim up to the surface. Malik stayed behind a little, making sure that Yugi was out of distance & looked at the shark smugly.

"Eat that you stupid bastard. That's what happens when you mess with me & Yugi." Malik cursed at the shark.

Then shark simple tries to eat Malik, who is slightly close to the sharks face. Malik jumps back a bit in fear & proceeds to swim up to catch up with Yugi to the surface.

Upon the surface, was a medium size rock with a small hill & a small amount of shade from a seagulls nest, enough for someone to lay on with their feet in the water. Which appears to be true, since someone is laying on it, who appeared to be another merman & had a black telescope by his head. He had his hands behind his head & his eyes closed, while singing a random song. His is voice is slightly scratchy & booming.

(Singing)

Fourteen hundred & ninety-two...

He appeared to be 6'0 ft. He had broad & a bit more muscular shoulders & muscles. His skin was a bit dark tan, & his eyes that are sharp & are a dark, rich shade of lavender. He had similar hair to Malik, but his hair is an untamed mess. His hair is pure wild & untamed spike, that pointed outwards in various directions. The platinum banged locks were turned slightly upward & forward. He seemed to wear golden cuffs on his wrist & had a slightly brown tail with specks of sand colored.

(Continue singing)

"Marik!" Yugi said, waving his hand in the arm for the person.

The revealed person opened their eyes & stopped singing, then he stood up & grabbed his black telescope to put it on his one opened eye, while the other was closed. Except, the telescope was on backwards. This man is named Marik, who is 20 years old & was known for being a 'Human stuff expert'. He has a chaotic personality, slightly crazy, & a major prankster.

"Whoa! Two mermen off the port bow!*Shouts* Yugi, Malik, how you guys doin'?" Marik yelled, not noticing Yugi & Malik already in front of him

Yugi & Malik tried to contain their giggling & waited for Marik to put down his telescope. Just after he finished shouting, he lowered his telescope, only to have Yugi & Malik already in front of him.

"Whoa! What a swim." Marik said slightly surprised, still not noticing that his telescope was on backwards.

Yugi & Malik started to giggle, not being able to contain themselves, while Marik looked at them in confusion. But, Marik just shrugged & leaned down to them, specifically Malik.

"Anyway, how's my pretty kitty~ doin'?" Marik asked Malik, in a seductive tone.

Malik blushed at his husband's tone. That's right, husbands. From a different angle, they could be brothers, but they are in fact lovers & are married. They had met at 13, & dated for 3 years, before getting married.

While Yugi was happy about his best friend getting to see his husband, Yugi was slightly embarrassed being in the presence of their love & coughed gently to gain their attention. Malik & Marik snapped out of their daze, while Malik proceeded to blush slightly, Marik chuckled a bit at both Malik's & Yugi's embarrassment.

"Anyways...Marik, look at what we found." Yugi said, still a bit embarrassed, while handing his satchel to Marik.

"So, what do you guys get?" Marik asked sitting back up, while his hands grabbed Yugi's satchel

"Yeah. We were in a sunken ship , & it was really creepy, I bet you would love it." Malik said in a slight teasing tone at his husband.

Marik smiled at Malik when he said that & watched as Malik continued his story.

"Then, as we were looking, we got attacked by a shark-" Malik says, but cuts off as he puts his hand on his mouth, realizing what he said & trying to stop himself from saying anything else.

But, it was too late. Because, the minute Malik said 'shark', Marik jumped & grabbed his husbands shoulders in a slightly tight manner, while looking at him for any injuries.

"What?! Are you okay?" Marik asked worryingly, as he looked into Malik's eyes.

Malik was about to say something, when he slightly winced when Marik brushed his hand on his forehead. Malik was hoping that Marik didn't hear that, but he did. Then Marik put some pressure on Malik's forehead, getting a slightly bigger wince than before.

"How did this happen?!" Marik asked, more worried than before.

Before Malik could say anything, Yugi raised his hand up. Both husbands looked at Yugi, who was rubbing his right arm with his left, looking somewhat guilty.

"I-I..it was my fault, Marik. I was so distracted that I didn't even notice the shark. While we tried to swim away & duck under a pole of the ship, but I didn't mention it to Malik, which he had ran his head to. I saved him, but...I was still the reason his way in danger in the first place. I'm so sorry Marik, especially to you Malik.." Yugi says, with a sad & shame tone in his voice.

Malik looked at Yugi in shock & sadness. Malik doesn't like it when Yugi thinks that it's his fault for getting slightly hurt, both of their lives were at stake. While Marik looked at Yugi in compassion & gave the teen a small smile & ruffled up his hair, which Yugi slightly giggled at.

"Hey, it's okay. I'm just glad that you got him out of there in time. Just make sure to bring my Malik up to surface more to meet me & we can call it even, ok?" Marik suggested, in a surprisingly light tone in his voice

"Yeah. You deserve more time with Malik, than any other person." Yugi says, with deep meaning behind his words.

As Marik was known for knowing human things, & a few times went up to the surface & almost made contact with humans. He had broken the laws of the merpeople & was banished from the kingdom. But, that never stopped Yugi or Mallik, especially Malik, from seeing Marik from time to time.

"Alright, enough of the sappy stuff. Anyway, you guys got human stuff right? Let me see." Marik said, taking his hand away from Yugi's hair & finally opened Yugi's satchel.

Malik gently put his hand on Yugi's shoulder, grabbing his attention & smiled at him, giving Yugi a message through it. Yugi understood & smiled back, just as Marik pulled one of the items from his satchel.

"Oh! Oh! Look at this. Wow, this is special. This thing is very, very unusual." Marik said, holding the silver utensil a bit up to his face.

"What? What is it?" Yugi & Malik asked excitedly, especially Yugi.

"It's a dinglehopper." Marik said holding it up, with his tongue slightly out.

Yugi & Malik look at Marik with confusion on their face. Seeing their confusion, Marik begins to explain.

"Humans use these things to straighten their hair out. Here watch, just a little twirl here..." Marik says, while putting the dinglehopper into the top of his hair.

Yugi & Malik watch as Marik tries to straighten his hair out, both knowing that mot even a human item can fix his wild hair.

"...& a yank there & violee...Ya. You got an aesthetically-pleasing configuration of hair that humans go nuts over." Marik says holding out the dinglehopper to Yugi & finishes his demonstration, but only succeeding in making his hair even more mess if possible.

Yugi & Malik giggled slightly at Marik, but were still fascinated with the dinglehopper.

"A dinglehopper." Yugi said, interest in his voice as he looked at the dinglehopper.

"Hey honey, what about that one?" Malik asks his husband, pointing to the type of smoke contraption.

"Ah! This thing my pretty is, something I haven't seen in years. This is wonderful!" Marik said excitingly, while holding the smoke pipe up.

"Well, what is it?" Malik asked again, tugging on Yugi's arm to get his attention, which it did.

"It's a banded, bulbous snarfblatt." Marik finished saying, laying on his stomach, while holding it up to Yugi & Malik's faces.

"Ohhhhh." Both of them say, as them looked at the item in curiosity.

"Now, the snarfblatt dates back to prehistoric times, when humans used to sit around & stare at each other all day." Marik says, getting really close up to Yugi's face.

Yugi just stood still, slightly frightened to move. While Marik sweat-dropped at the display of his husband & best friend really close.

"...Got very boring." Marik said, pulling his face back & away from Yugi's.

Yugi breathed out the air he didn't know he had in him & continued to listen to Marik's history on the snarfblatt.

"So, humans invented the snarfblatt to make some good ass music. Allow me to show you." Marik said, putting the tip of the breath into his mouth & blew into it, only to get foam & seaweed in it.

As Marik coughed & as Malik laughed, Yugi had a dreaded feeling down his spine, the moment he heard Marik say, music.

"It's stuck!" Marik exclaims, still coughing

"Oh no, the concert! Oh my gosh! My grandpa's is gonna kill me. We have to go now." Yugi says in a slightly scared tone, while grabbing the dinglehopper & putting it into his satchel.

Marik didn't notice that or what Yugi was saying, but Malik heard every word & was just as scared as Yugi, maybe a bit more.

"The concert was today?! Oh boy, Yugi, we are in so much trouble." Malik said in a frightened tone.

"Maybe you coulda little plant out of this thing, or something." Marik says holding the snarfblatt close to his face, still oblivious to what is happening until Yugi grabs the snarfblatt out of his hands & looks to see both mermen in a hurry to swim.

"I'm sorry Marik, but we have to go. I see you next time." Malik says in an apologetic voice & dives into the water.

"Thank you, Marik!" Yugi says while waving at Marik, before following Malik's lead & diving into the water.

"See you next time, sweetie! Also, any time kiddo, any time." Marik yells & waving bye to them, even though they dived into the sea already.

Already into the water & swimming as fast as they can, both merman's were scared of what was going to happen once they reached home.

"Oh no, oh no. My grandpa is going to be so mad. And my sibling will be worried about me, especially Yusei..." Yugi says in a hurried manner.

"Yeah I agree, especially the Yusei part." Malik says, while shivering in fright at the memory of his own encounter with the 'overprotective brother' Yusei.

He experienced this at the age of 14, when he wanted to try & prank the eldest brother. He saw Yusei looking for Yugi & asked Malik where he was, while Malik already knew where Yugi was, he told Yusei in a playful tone 'no'. Lets just say that Malik learned at that age to never try & prank the eldest brother & to never hold back information on the whereabouts of his siblings, mainly Yugi. The eldest brother can be, & maybe even more, fierce & scarier to King Muto

"Anyway, lets just make a quick stop at your collection cave, before we face our punishments." Malik suggested, trying to get over the shivering feeling on their punishment's & his memory of Yusei

Yugi smiles slightly at Malik's suggestion & nodded his head. Both merman's turn to the direction of Yugi's collection cave, not noticing two pairs of bright eyes looking at them.
