Ok guys, so this is story idea #3. Once again, if you haven't read my two previous uploads, I would like to apologize for my absence. I had a death in the family that really hit us hard so we're just taking it one day at a time.

WARNING: This is something different and I am not sure how people will respond to it but I just thought that I'd try it. In this story, Arizona is, in fact, a male instead of a female. Like I said, it's just something different that I thought I'd try. Let me know what you think.

General P.O.V.

"Alright that's all for today. I am going to hand back last Tuesday's quiz then you are free to leave." Dr. Miranda Bailey said, picking up the pile of papers that sat on the desk, as we pack our things. "Anderson, Anthony, Arthur…"

She starts calling out last names and it'll take a while before she gets to me. Who am I exactly? My name is Arizona Robbins, but everyone calls me Ari for short. I'm a junior pre-med student at Duke University and the starting quarterback for the football team. I know what you're probably thinking… why in the hell did he decide to study pre-med and play a sport?

Well, its simple. I love football! I've been playing since I was five years old and my love for it has only grown bigger.

My parents have always been very supportive of me playing, their only request was that I get an education first and foremost in case anything was to happen to me so that I'd have a fall back plan. So that's where pre-med comes in. Yeah, I could've chosen something simpler, but I've always wanted to be a doctor so if going pro doesn't work out for me, there's always medical school.

I will say that playing ball with the workload that I have is never easy which is where my time management skills come in. My older brother Tim taught me how to utilize my time to get all of the important things done so that I could have time for a little bit of fun here and there.

I have a plan for everyday of the week. Set times for workouts, practices, work due dates, test dates, and study times. I tend to try and get most of my work done throughout the week for my weekends are reserved for relaxation and studying.

"Mooney, Matthews, Nelson..." but this quiz that we had last week… let's just say that I know I didn't do too good on. If it wasn't a shame, I'd tell Dr. Bailey to keep the paper.

"Patterson, Robbins" I finally hear my name called. Standing and grabbing my bookbag I move to get my paper.

Just as I expected, a 68. Sighing to myself, I move out of the way of others who are attempting to pick up their papers as well.

"Ropper, Rudolph"

"Um, excuse me doctor Bailey" I say.

"Ryan!" she says before turning to me, "Not your best work there Mr. Robbins" she says, before calling out another name.

"Ma'am I know. That's what I wanted to talk to you about." I tell her.

"Sanders, Samuels" she says, "Then talk. Staple, Summer!"

"Well ma'am I am struggling with this topic. I was wondering if you could point me in the direction of someone who understands this so I can understand it better for the test" I tell her sounding somewhat desperate.

"Sumpter, Sydney, Taylor" she continues, side eyeing me before shaking her head, "Torres!" she calls out.

Watching as the beautiful Latina that I know to be, one, Miss Callie Torres walk toward us, I notice a huge 100 written across the top of her paper as Bailey hands it to her.

"Thank you, Dr. Bailey," she smiles, glancing at me before heading toward the exit.

"If you want help, that's your girl." Dr. Bailey says continuing to call out the last few names.

"Thank you so much Dr. B" I tell her gratefully.

"I like you Robbins. You care about your work and you ask for help when needed. Don't let me see any more grades like this from you or your coach and I will be having a chat." She says.

"You won't ma'am. Thanks again!" I say, backing out of the room to catch up with the brunette.

Looking around I spot that familiar silhouette moving down the hall. Jogging, saying excuse me to people that I almost knock over, I finally reach her.

"Excuse me" I say, tapping her on the shoulder causing her to stop and turn around.

Displaying a confused smile, she says, "Arizona Robbins, this is a surprise."

"Uh-um yeah. Hi, Callie, right?" I ask. 'Of course, you know that's her name. Why would you ask?

"Yeah" she says.

"Right. I-So we got our quizzes back today and I did horrible. I just can't quite grasp what it is that I am doing wrong, but I need to know how to do this for the test coming up. I saw that you got a 100 and I was wondering if you would tutor me. You know, if you have time and want to." I say in one huge breath.

Chuckling, she says, "Wow, who knew you were a rambler." She jokes, "As for tutoring you, sure I can do that."

"Really? Thank you so much! How about we start tomorrow night? I have study hall with the team but if I talk to coach, I'm sure that he wouldn't mind me skipping it to meet you at the library, say around 7?"

"7 sounds good" she smiles. "2nd floor near the private cubicles."

"Awesome. See you then" I smile.

"See ya" she says, turning and walking away. I can't help but let my eyes linger on her as she walks over to Addison who I know is one of her friends. I mean, she is beautiful.

"Ari!" A voice says loudly as an arm wraps around my shoulders breaking me out of my thoughts.

"What's up man?" my teammate and best friend, Mark Sloan says.

"Hey Mark" I greet him back

"Saw you talking to Callie Torres" he smirks, "You ask her out?"

"What? Why would you think that?" I ask.

He shrugs, "She's hot and word around campus is that she is very much single" he bobs his eyebrows.

"Oh, well no I was actually asking her if she'd tutor me in-"

"Tutor you? Ari there are chicks on this campus throwing themselves at us" he says, eyeing a leggy blonde and her friends that pass us smiling, "My guy, they will do all of your work if you asked them too."

"You know that I'm not like that. I like to do my own work." I tell him, "One day, all of that is-"

"-going to come back and bite me in the ass. I know Robbins but you know a little biting can be enjoyable from time to time" he jokes causing me to laugh and shake my head.

"Come on let's go get some food. I am starving" I tell him, and we head toward the student center to meet up with some of the other guys from the team.

So that's it for the first chapter. I know it was a bit short... Leave a review and let me know if I should continue it or quit while I'm ahead! Thanks once again for your support! - Britt
