AN: Hey guys, yes I am alive. Work has just been a killer for me at the moment. Hopefully, I can get back into the groove of writing things again. I made this one shot to let you all know that I am alive and I am still writing so hopefully you can expect a Zuma's Courage update next week if things work out.

Disclaimer: I do not own Paw Patrol

Some days you just wanted to lay down and watch the skies without a care in the world. One of the things the pups didn't understand about humans was why they were always so busy all the time. Busy with jobs. With eating. With their cellphones. They never seemed to just sit down and relax. Even Ryder was always doing something busy when he wasn't hanging out with them.

"Man, three days and no need for a rescue mission," Rocky said, yawning as he felt the warm sun heat up his furry belly. "I hope we can get more days like this."

"I thought you liked doing rescues, Rocky?" Rubble asked, tilting his head towards the eco pup.

"I do, but it kinda gets a bit repetitive saving Chickaletta, Alex, or Daring Danny X all the time," Rocky pointed out.

"If I had a bone for every time we had to rescue them I would have my own museum exhibit," Chase chuckled which caused the others to laugh at the idea.

"Too bad Skye isn't here with us," Marshall said, stretching his legs. "She loves looking at clouds."

"Eh, she's having some giwls day out with Katie and Evewest," Zuma said, rolling his eyes. "Boring. Probably just talking about looking good or something."

Snorting, Rocky turned to his best friend and said, "Way to be stereotypical, Zuma. Next you'll be saying they'll be talking about which guys they like."

"Please," Zuma said, rolling his eyes. "It's obvious who they would choose."

"Really?" Marshall asked, lifting his head up. "Who would they pick?"

"Sewiously?" Zuma asked, looking at Marshall with an eyebrow raised. "I would have thought it was obvious. Evewest totally digs you, Dude."

Mimicking the redness of his fire truck, Marshall's eyes widened as his mouth opened up wide before shutting back up. Shaking his head, ears flapping around, he stuttered, "W-what?! You're kidding?! E-Everest doesn't see me like that."

"I don't know, Marshall," Chase said, smirking as he turned on his stomach and rested his head on his paws. "You and her are kind of cute together the way you play together, sleep next to each other at sleepovers. And you're always partnering up with her during our games and events."

"S-so?! I do it all the time with you, Chase? Are you going to say I'm in love with you next?" Marshall pointed out.

"Woah! Woah! Woah!" Chase said getting up, paws raised. "I'm so not on that side of the fence. I'm not against it, mind you, but I don't play that way."

"Yeah, he's too busy trying to pin Skye's attention on him," Rubble giggled.

"That's righ-wait, what?!" Chase shouted, eyes bugged out. "I...I do not!"

"Please, Chase, we all know you two have a thing going on if you two would just admit it," Rocky said, shaking his head. "The way you always act so protective towards her..."

"The way she always flutters her eyes towards you..." Rubble continued.

"How you wish her goodnight every evening at bed time..." Marshall joined in with a grin.

"Plus, I think she stares at you when you work out," Zuma finished which only made Chase lower his head to hide his massive red cheeks. "Dude, don't feel ashamed. Skye's kinda hot. She'd be a good girlfriend."

"We're not old enough!" Chase shouted before sighing. "B-Besides, romance would just complicate things on the team. I'm not saying I like her or anything, but it's not something to be looked into right now."

"Someone likes swimming in the denial river of Egypt," Rocky pointed out.

"Okay, mister smarty dog, who would you go out with? Hmm? Marshall has Everest-"

"She's just a friend!"

"-and I apparently am Skye's future husband according to you guys. What about the rest of you?!"

"Hmm," Zuma pondered, rubbing his paw as Rocky looked at his friend. "Well, he's a geek so he's kinda got that against him."

"I'm not a geek!" Rocky said, huffing. "Just because I like to study math and science while inventing things doesn't mean I'm a geek."

"Oh! I got it!" Rubble said, jumping up. "How about Sweetie?!"

"Sweetie?!" The others said in surprise and disgust.

"Rubble, Sweetie is one of our big enemies! She tries to always take over the Kingdom of Barkingburg and has put us in numerous traps!" Rocky pointed out in disgust. "Why would I ever want to date her?"

"Well, she must be smart if she invents all those things to try and stop us," Rubble pointed out. "Next to Ryder, and you Rocky, I've never seen another pup make robots, a flying hovercart, and a remote control chew toy with hundreds of features. She invents things just like you."

"...Huh, that's kind of a good point," Chase admitted, rubbing his chin.

"Don't tell me you're thinking of pairing me up with our arch-enemy too!" Rocky shouted in disbelief.

"Hey, you could have a really cool hero and villain romance like Batman and Catwoman!" Marshall said in excitement. "The two of you having such passionate tension between you as you outwit the other while your heart beats for both of you to embrace in a tender sense of love but are constantly denied by the cruel strings of fate which force you on opposite ends of the coin of righteousness!"

"...did you make that up or get that from Ryder's fanfiction again?" Chase asked.

"Eh, a bit of both."

"Look, while I am willing to admit that Sweetie is a smart villain, she is a villain," Rocky said, rolling his eyes. "I have a much better chance at winning over someone like Ella then her."

"Oh yeah, I forgot about Ella," Marshall said with a smile. "We're making so many new friends lately I can't keep count of them."

"So would Ella be for Zuma or Rubble?" Chase asked.

"Eh, I can see it going either way," Rocky admitted before turning to the two of them. "What do you think? Would either of you go for Ella as a date?"

"Hmm," Zuma asked, scratching the back of his neck. "Well, she is a Golden Wetwiever and those are a pwetty bweed of dog. But she's older than me. Heck, all the girls we know are older then me or Wubble."

"Yeah, I'm not even sure we're old enough to consider getting dates," Rubble pointed out. "Though, I have to admit, Ella is a cool pup. But she's so much like Tuck I kinda have a hard time telling them apart."

"Yeah, imagine if you were going to ask her out and instead you asked out Tuck by mistake," Marshall joked.

"Hey, if your bisexual, you could always date both," Chase pointed out. "Going out with twins has to be somebody's dream, right?"

"Still..." Rocky said, with a light blush. "We are getting older... one day we're going to have to deal with this kinda stuff. Girls and dating and maybe even marriage when we get older."

The others all looked at each other before diving into deep thought of what the future held for them and possibly the various girls they all knew or had yet to meet. "Hey, let's make a promise," Chase said, smiling. "That if any of us do find the girl of our dreams we'll each do our best to help that guy out."

The others smiled and nodded before high pawing each other. "Well, I don't know about you, but all this talk of girls is making me want to do something manly!" Zuma said, shaking his tail. "Let's head to the beach! Last one there has to sniff a cat's butt!"

"Eww! No way am I losing!" Marshall shouted as he rushed after Zuma. "Wait up!"

The others laughed before following the others down the street.
