Chapter 4

The next morning I woke up and went down the water elevator and Sparky was there.

"Good morning Lucky. Ianite told me you'd be here so I wouldn't be surprised."

"That's nice. Wait, Ianite was here?"

"Well, not really. She spoke with me telepathically."

"Ah... yeah, I can communicate telepathically now too.", I added coolly.

"Yes, I know. We all can, which I'm sure Ianite told you. ~I nodded~ So, she also told me you're Team Ianite now too, welcome to our team." He said, smiling and holding a hand out. I gripped his hand in a firm handshake.

"Thanks. Hopefully I can exceed expectations. I'll try to be just as independent as you. You seem to have everything together usually. Ianite told me you sometimes need her help, but I take it not so often?"

"Yeah, pretty much. I try not to call on her very much, I don't like to bother her."

"I myself will try not to. Hey, Sparky, I'm thinking of finding my own island near here, that way I'm not bumming off you."

"You're not bumming off me. Remember, I told you you could stay here."

"Yeah, but you also remember, I've been living by myself, fending for myself for 16 years. I'm not used to this life of luxury, having everything I need right there, or having an actual building to live and sleep in, having a bed to sleep in. I get it, you had to build from the ground up. You didn't have things when you first got here either, but you've had a place and things longer than I have at this point."

"Which is why I invited you to stay with me, so that you don't have to have nothing. We can share resources and even enjoy each other's company. You've been alone for so long, I guess I just don't want you to be lonely anymore." I was really surprised to hear that.

"You really want me to stay?"

"Well yeah. Like I said, you don't need to be by yourself anymore. I don't want you to be by yourself anymore, and hey, you have your own floor, so you'll still have your own space. Oh, Lucky, here, ~gives me back the Sword of Ianite~ take this back. Now that you're back, I bet you'll want it back. So you can keep it safe for Ianite like before.", he said the last line while grinning. I half glared at him, I didn't have the energy to give him a full glare. He still grinned at me. I shook my head, then put the sword away.

"Thanks Sparky. So, if you want me to stay, I will. Only to keep you company though, I don't need anyone, but if you want a roommate, then I'll gladly oblige."

He sighed, I can tell he wants to reply to that, but it seems he's not even gonna bother. I grin. We then hear a commotion. We go out of the door to find a giant ship... eww, I know exactly what that is. The Naglfar (A/N:I think that's what it's called?) and it looks like it means business.

"Uhhh... why Is the Naglfar here?" Sparky explained what happened. "It took it that long to get here?"

"Well, it had a long way to travel and its fighters needed to get ready."

"I guess... these guys look like no joke. Do you have extra armor or something?"

"Yeah, follow me." He takes me to his archway, presses two buttons, then a door opens up.

"Whoa..." I follow him and drop down with him into the middle hole.

"Stick right close to me, this floor'll open up after I put the password in." I do as he says. And like he said, the floor opened up into more lava and water.

Then we went to our right and crawled under a trapdoor into an obsidian lined room.

"Welcome to my vault."

"Whoooaaaa. Dude, this is epic! Holy crap, this is a lot of obsidian."

"I know, but in one of these shulker boxes should be some enchanted diamond armor that's actually good." He rifles through the shulker boxes and then eventually he finds some armor. He hands it to me and I equip it.

"Whoa, this is some nice stuff. Now we can go out there and kick tail."

"Oh yeah.", he agreed, grinning. We exit the vault and on came the battle. I, of course, used the Sword of Ianite to destroy these enemies. Man I love this sword. It definitely was quite the battle. I did get hurt a whole lot more than I would if battling weaker enemies, such as zombies, skeletons, creepers, etc. This feeling is something new to me. We did end up winning though.

"Ok, you win. Here, take some netherite. Upgrade your friend's gear.", the boss said after we beat her. Sparky took the netherite from her and she left. I'm leaning on my sword as Sparky turned to face me.

"Oh no... ok, here, let's get you home." He took my arm and wrapped it around his shoulders so that way he's helping me walk.

"Netherite huh? Never heard of it... you mean that stuff's... stronger than diamond?"

"Save your strength, but yes. Now no more questions until you get healed up." When we got back, he set me sitting up on the bed downstairs.

"How much food do you have?"

"None... I ate my last piece... yesterday morning." He went through his food chest and handed me some steak. I ate a few pieces of that and could feel myself getting better.

"That's good food. I'm already starting to feel a lot better. Thanks Sparky."

"Of course. Now, you've nether heard of netherite?" I facepalmed as he chuckled. I sighed.

"No, I haven't."

"Well, I'm aghast to learn that you haven't. You've never blazed through the nether before?"

"Will you cut it out?" He full on laughed this time.

"Ok fine. No more puns."

"Good, alright. No, I've never gone to the nether before. I've been to the end before, but the dragon was already defeated. That's how I got my Elytra. I have many levels, I can enchant, but I never had an enchanting table nor did I really want to try and mine the obsidian needed for one. Nor was I ever interested in mining the diamonds. I'm not really a diamond person. I mean, sure they're cool and the best gear you can get, well, below netherite, but I always had iron. Iron was easier to get and you didn't have to go far below the ground."

"Really? Do you not like the underground?"

"Not particularly."

"Huh. Well, I've got many diamonds and this netherite can be infused with your diamond gear with a smithing table. I've got one if you wanna follow me and learn how to infuse diamond stuff with netherite."

"Sure, lead the way." I got up off the bed after eating more steak and followed him to his smithing table. (A/N: I can't remember if he has one or not. Let's just say he does.) He showed me the ropes and actually, it was easy. He did half of my armor and I did the other half. I put the armor back on.

"Ooo, this is nice. I feel pretty protected. I mean, obviously I can still get hurt, but it won't be as much as before. I can take more hits."

"Yup and with your sword it'll be even better."

"Oh yeah, I'll go through enemies like you'd never believe. Oh, I can't wait till we battle again. Those enemies won't know what hit 'em."

"Alright feisty, settle down. Let's enjoy the peace too while we have it, alright?"

"Alright... but I love to battle."

"I can see that.", he said while chuckling. I took my armor off and we went back to the entrance of the tower. "We should also see about getting you your own ender chests. I can easily make two more."

"That'd be nice. I'd like somewhere safe to put my items if I ever wanted to just relax and have my inventory clear."

"Alright then, lemme grab some obsidian and a couple ender pearls, then I can make you your ender chests. Oh... you'll need a silk touch pick axe to mine them. I might have a spare diamond one in my vault. ~finishes the chests then hands them to me~ I'll be right back." I nodded, then went up to my floor and sat on my bed. I took out Ianite's sword and examined it closely. It's made of netherite? How did I never notice that? It also has Sharpness 5, Fire Aspect 2, which is obvious given that the enemies set on fire every time I hit them, Knockback 1, which really helps with creepers, so I'm thankful for that, and Sweeping Edge 3. Yeah, no wonder why this is stuff of legends, it's super powerful. She forged this with her own powers? Well, I shouldn't be surprised, she is a god. Sparky came up to my floor.

"Oh, looking at the sword?"

"Yeah, I didn't notice it was made of netherite. I was just excited about having acquired the sword of legends and actually having met the one who made it."

"Yeah, it's pretty cool. Here, I did have a spare silk touch pick, so now you can mine your ender chests." He handed me the pick axe.

"Thanks." I put my sword away and then set down one of the ender chests where I wanted it. The other I will carry with me always. It started getting darker and I looked out of the window. "It looks like we should call it a day. Thanks for everything Sparky."

"Anytime Lucky. Good night." I inclined my head slightly, then he went back down. I laid on my bed, thinking.

'Wow, so I'm fully netherite geared out. I don't really care about netherite tools. I'm fine with my silk touch diamond pick for my ender chests, and my iron tools. My armor isn't as enchanted as it could be, but that's fine. I have some protection on it at least, so it's all good. I'm happy with what I have. That's all that matters.' With that last thought, I had fallen asleep.
