Chapter 1 – We won!

Summary: War is over. Feelings will slowly be realized, as the world tries to recover from the damages of the war. Dreams and happiness will be realized. But what will happen if the game of love will involve 3 hearts? NaruHina with one-sided SasuHina

Naruto can't feel anything. He feels numb but the smile on his face can't be contained. They have won the war against Madara Uchiha and they have sealed Kaguya. Sasuke, his brother, and best friend is back. It will be the start of the new era of peace.

Looking to his left, he can see Sakura carefully assisting Sasuke to walk. He can see that she was tired but happy that Sasuke is back. Finally, he had fulfilled his promise.

"We must get you back to the base immediately to tend to your wounds Naruto," said Kakashi as he assists Naruto to walk. He barely had any strength to stand let alone walk. He can feel that he almost had no chakra left. His vision is starting to blurry but he can't give up yet.

He still has to find her and make sure that she is fine, she's ok, and she's alive. He just needs to touch her at the very least to make sure. Looking around he can see shinobi are celebrating. But he can't focus on them now. She is the only one on his mind now. She was never meant to be hurt. She can't be hurt!

He unhooks his arm on Kakashi's shoulder and walks past him. He can see Team 10 hugging each other for comfort as the loss of their Father's sink into their hearts. He saw Kiba, Akamaru, and Shino at a distance. He can feel her close but he can't see her yet.

'Where is she? Why is she not with her team?'

He can feel his heartbeat faster, he's feeling anxious. She would stay with her team during the fight, there is no way that the boys of team 8 will let her fight alone, right? So why is she not here?

He started to walk as fast as he can even if his legs are starting to wobble. He walked past her teammates. He can hear them asking if he's ok but he paid them no mind.

There beside a large rock, he can see her back to him. She is looking at the sky, he can tell. As he got nearer, he can hear her sobs. 'She's crying, Oh, Kami!' She's crying and it's breaking his heart.

"Hinata" he whispers... she didn't hear, she continues sobbing now kneeling and looking on the ground.

"Neji nii-san, we won! We're ok now. I'm sorry, I'm sorry… it's my fault…" he can hear in between her sobs. He wraps his only arm to her shoulder and guides her head so she can lean on him. She tensed, stunned but calmed down once she noticed that it was him.

"It's not our fault Hinata. Neji is still with us and we will honor him, right? He does not want you to cry, remember that." he said. Not noticing that everyone is looking at them with adoration and awe.

He let her cry for a few more minutes, forgetting that he is exhausted from the fight. His mind is completely focused on the girl. He did not even notice that the remaining Rookie 9 is already surrounding them.

'Neji! I will be the one to look after her from now on. Don't worry!' he declared looking at the sky, imaging that Neji is looking down on them.

"Naruto, your arm!" Hinata exclaimed as she tried to touch the remaining part of his right arm, worry evident on her soft voice.

"Do not worry Hinata, Sakura already healed it. I will just need to rest a bit. Besides Kurama will take care of it too!" he assured her. She looked at his eyes, cerulean meats pale lavender eyes. She is reading him like an open book, he thought.

"Oi! Naruto! Don't play tough on us right now. Look how tight you grip on Hinata's shoulder, it's clear that you can barely hold your own!" said Kiba, trying to embarrass Naruto but the worry is evident on his face. He then realizes that they were being surrounded by their friends.

'Since when are they here? I didn't even notice them approaching us'' he questions himself.

"How will you notice when you are so focused on finding the girl?" Kurama answered, teasing in his voice.

'Shut up! Kurama! You should rest too!' he barked back, with a little pink tinted on his cheeks that didn't go unnoticed to the fox.

"Come on Naruto. I'll help you to the base. You should rest." Hinata said as she helps him walk, however, he was only able to take 3 steps before his vision goes dark. Hearing Hinata's voice calling his name full of worry.

'So uncool!'
