Chapter 3
Where do we go from here?
There was a stunned silence from both Rin and Archer as they took in the new, and unbelievable information, Rin's mind was once again running through hundreds of possible scenarios, but now, she had an entirely different source of worry.
Similarly, Archer sat thinking, pondering just how much had changed, in both his plan, and his old self, he began to wonder if killing his old self was, not just a good idea, but if it was even possible, the sheer power rolling off the red haired man before him was comparable to a shard of the Holy Grail itself.
Suddenly, Rin broke the silence with uncharacteristic meekness and hesitance.
"Wait.. If you're the King Shirou Ashton, wouldn't that put you on par with a Servant?" she asked, her voice shaking.
Shirou took a moment to ponder quietly before simply shrugging his shoulders.
"I honestly don't know. I think it depends on how well known I am." was his reply, before they lapsed once more into a silence that lasted for two minutes before Rin stood up and snapped her fingers.
"I got it!" she said happily. "We should go see the overseer of the Holy Grail War. He might be able to figure out if you're really a Master."
"Don't you think it'd be easier to just check my hand?" Shirou asked with a grin as he raised and presented the back of his hand, the red command seal gleaming on it softly.
"Well obviously, I know we can do that." Rin snapped, as if he were a fool, acting like common sense was a philosopher's wisdom. "But I think that you're a bit of a grey area yourself."
"Alright then, let's go." Shirou replied with a sigh. He really didn't want to see that priest again.
Author's Note: Sorry about the short chapter, I frankly just don't know how to write Kotomine accurately and I wanna get some research done before I write anything from his perspective and screw it up royally. One last thing, just a quick question, do you guys want me to keep the servants that were in the original or do you want me to change the ones that haven't been shown?
