A/N:Hello everyone! My name is Elizabeth, a newish writer writing my very first Persona Story! I originally was writing a Naruto story but I wasn't really feeling it, and I had no end game really so I gave up on that. However, I am very excited to write this and I hope you all enjoy as well!

This story was inspired by GreyKing46 and his/her story Persona 5 New Game Plus, Joker's Second Chance

I really enjoyed the concept so I've thrown my own spin onto it. I want to say that this is going to be a slowbuild, in that alot of the romance and everything will be built up over time. I also plan to have a few girls fall for Akira, but the main couple will not change. The girls falling for Akira will be used for other things, and you'll see what I mean later on. I also have most of the couples planned out, but that could always change if my overall plans change.

I hope you all enjoy, and my last warning is that Joker will be a bit more dark in here. In that, he's done dealing with Shadows and the game he's apart of, and just wants a happy ending for his friends.

Anyway, I hope you all enjoy!

Couples:

Joker/Kawakami

Ryuji/Makoto

Ann/Shiho

"This….Isn't how it...Was supposed to be…" Morgana moaned in terror and grief as he laid on the ground, his body slowly fading along with Joker. The other Phantom Thieves had already vanished into nothingness as Yaldabaoth was on the verge of victory in this unjust game.

"Mona…" Joker looked over at his last remaining partner, his body almost fully gone as he gave one last small smile "I-I'm sorry…"

"J-Joker….I-It's fi-" Before Morgana could finish, his body completely vanished as Joker was left alone, his body almost gone as he closed his eyes, memories of all his friends flashing through his head as he clenched his hand.

This was the end it seemed.

He was always in an unfair situation, he couldn't win no matter what he tried. Afterall, the game was rigged from the start and he was played like a fiddle. His only regret was that his friends would also suffer and vanish from this world.

He prayed to whoever would listen that they would get to go to the heavens and he would gladly bear all of their sins in the underworld.

As his vision faded, Joker let out one more breath until darkness enveloped him.

The darkness seemed to last forever.

During all that time, Joker had no sense of smell, sight, touch or thought. He was an empty vessel that had no home, and his mind should have been destroyed.

However, it wasn't.

Slowly his mind began to awake, as it were, as Joker's senses returned to him. He could begin to feel his body laying on something, the smell of flowers penetrating his nostrils. He could hear the sounds of bugs and felt the sun beating down on him.

Slowly, very slowly, Joker's eyes opened. He was still in his Phantom Thief clothing, however he was no longer in the ruin Shibuya.

Pushing himself up, Joker looked as he saw himself in some kind of garden. Flowers were everywhere, along with bugs and small animals.

For a moment, Joker thought he was in heaven.

Maybe that wasn't completely wrong.

Slowly regaining himself, Joker's head suddenly twisted as he heard a man's voice in front of him. "Ah, you're awake."

The man who spoke was wearing a white jacket, his hair tied up in a ponytail as he was sitting on a stone bench, staring ahead. Joker simply stared at him, as the man continued.

"I'm sure you have many questions, but I am not inclined to answer them." The man spoke with no malice, he was simply stating a fact. "But nor am I against such a thing. I'm sure you're wondering where you currently are yes? To describe it to a human may not be easy, but in simple terms, this is my domain."

Joker didn't say anything as he kept eyeing the man, as the air was calm and he felt no malice still.

"You and your friends lost, correct? You tried, and perhaps did better than most humans would, but in the end you weren't able to fight against the game that demon made you play. You were nothing more than a pawn, and you had no chance to break from that destiny. This is not your fault, even my servants were no match for this demon."

"Servants?" Joker finally spoke as the man simply nodded.

"The Velvet Room is to help guide souls who have the faith of humanity on their shoulders. The room's master is named Igor, and his various servants as time continues onward in the human world. However, this demon took over the velvet room and not only replaced Igor, but also harmed the servant as well. I simply find this inexcusable as the situation was completely unfair. Wouldn't you agree, trickster?"

The man stood up and turned around, showing half of his face was covered...No...More like half of his face was a mask.

Joker eyed the man through his own mask, his breathing remaining calm as he nodded.

"I'm glad you agree. Because of this, I offer you a proposition. I will send you back to when this all started, back to when you first arrived in Tokyo. You will retain all of your memories, skills, personas and athletic and mental abilities. In exchange, none of your friends will remember you, and all the memories you will retain will be based on events that no longer have happened. However, with your powers early on, along with knowledge of what happens, you may have a chance to lead an even better life and even win this unjust game. However, should you fail again, you will not have another chance...You will be forever damned to the flames of torment."

"..." Joker still didn't respond as he gave a look to the man to continue.

"If you refuse this proposition, you will live for eternity in this blessed land. You will never go hungry, need sleep, feel pain, anything...However you will never know the fates of your friends, or the world that the demon has taken over."

"You should know my answer." Joker didn't hesitate as he began adjusting his gloves, as the man kept his neutral expression "Are you God?"

"Hm...Yes, to humans I may seem as an otherworldly figure, even be called a god. However, I'm simply a being who lives in the souls of humans with personas. To alter fate is not something I normally am allowed to do, however an exception and deal has been reached for you Trickster."

"Hmph, a god, otherworldly figure, or whatever. My answer is easy, send me back." Joker didn't hesitate, preparing himself as even the man seemed surprised.

"Most humans would be asking question after question, debating with themselves if they can give up all the memories they have...Yet you show no hesitance, no fear of the unknown. How unusual, is it because you have pride as humans call it?"

"No." Joker quickly interrupted the man as he kept his determined look "It's because my friends are all that I have, and I'll gladly give up the times we spent as long as it means they have a tomorrow to look forward to."

"Ah, such an interesting human. You remind me of...Well, that was an eternity ago for you humans." The man nodded as he walked over to Joker and extended his hand. "Once you shake my hand, the deal is-"

The man couldn't finish as Joker reached up and grabbed the man's hand firmly, making him chuckle.

"Interesting, you really have no fear. Fascinating. As a reward for your resolve, I will grant you a gift. Since Morgana was a creation of the Velvet Room, he will also retain his memories and powers of all that has happened...However, you will still have to save him from his imprisonment in the castle."

"Understood." Joker nodded as his body began to fade, but unlike the last time, it was a pleasant feeling and soon he was completely gone.

Once he was gone, the man smiled as his hand dropped to his side as he spoke to no one in particular "Now then, this is a fair bet Nyarlathotep."

As soon as Joker vanished, he quickly regained his senses unlike the first time as felt the seat he was on jerk as he quickly opened his eyes, revealing himself on a train as people stood all around him.

In his lap was his bag, and on his face was his glasses.

Quickly taking out his phone, Akira looked at the date.

April ninth.

The day he moved to Tokyo.

Joker kept looking at his phone as he let out a sigh through his nose.

He was really sent back.

Joker closed his eyes as he thought about everything that had happened, or rather, was going to happen.

Kamoshida, Madarame, Kaneshiro, all of them! The pain they caused, and the people they hurt. Everybody…

All because of the fake god.

Akira's hands clenched as he opened his eyes back, a serious expression filling them as the train began to come to a stop. "This time, I'll win."

Joker spoke quietly to himself as he stood up from his seat and headed towards the door.

The walk to Leblanc was uneventful.

Joker checked his bag and sure enough, two items that shouldn't be present were present.

His knife and his gun.

They were fake, in this world anyway, but were perfect for the cognitive world. Joker could also still feel his persona's in him, and knew he still had their powers as well. Joker also checked his phone, and sure enough, the metaverse nav was already present.

So far, So good.

After a bit of walking, Akira made it to Leblanc as he took one more sigh and opened the door as the bell rang and the sound of a TV could be heard as three people, an eldery couple sipping on coffee, and the owner himself, were inside.

The couple were talking about the recent bus crash, while the owner was working on a crossword puzzle.

As soon as Joker's eyes landed on the owner, he felt his heart hurt. This man was Sojiro Sakura, the owner of Leblanc and also the adopted father of Akira's friend Futaba.

He was also Joker's guardian while he was on probation.

As soon as he saw him, he couldn't even imagine the pain Sojiro felt when or if he learned that Joker and Futaba were both gone forever. He wasn't even sure of Sojiro's faith in the world if he failed, but if he lived…

It was at that moment, Joker came to a realization.

He might die.

That in and of itself wasn't ground breaking, Joker knew from the moment he awakened to Arsene that he may kick the bucket one day.

But thinking of the pain and grief that Sojiro would feel if he lost not only Futaba, but Joker if they got close?

It made him realize something.

In this new world where he had a second chance, he couldn't risk anything. For his friends sake, he couldn't risk getting close to them or continue to put them in danger like before. Especially if he died, he couldn't put them through that grief.

So in that time and moment, Joker made a silent vow to himself.

He wouldn't get close to anyone, he would fight the palace rulers and this unjust game with just him and Morgana.

It would bring him pain, sure.

But since they would be none the wiser, they would be fine. As long as he took care of the palace rulers and saved him.

That's all he cared about.

As Joker made his silent vow, Sojiro looked up from his crossword puzzle and noticed him "Hm…? Oh right, well they did say that was today."

"Ah well, we better get going boss." The old man suddenly spoke up as him and his wife began to get up.

"Come again." Sojiro gave a small nod to them as they grabbed their stuff and walked past Joker and left, as Sojiro gave a sigh "Four Hours just for a cup of joe."

Sojiro shook his head before his attention went back to Joker.

"So anyway, your Akira Kusuru right?" Joker nodded as Sojiro used his real name, something he surprisingly was getting less used to, especially as his closet confidants soon all learned who he really was. "Well, let me make clear that I'm only doing this because a friend of your parents called me up about it. One mistake, and you're kicked out onto the streets, understand?"

Joker almost wanted to smile, as he had almost forgotten how much Sojiro distrusted him at the start. It was strangely nostalgic. Still, he understood why and it didn't really bother him either. Giving another nod, Sojiro sighed from Jokers silence.

"Not much of a talker are you? Well anyway, I'll show you to your room." Sojiro turned and walked towards the stairs in the back as Joker followed, falling step in step as the duo walked up the stairs together. Eventually, they reached the top as Joker almost coughed from the sudden dust that hit his face. "It's not the best but it's better than sleeping on the streets, it's up to you to clean it up though."

Joker looked at his room as memories of all the times he spent with his friends in here rushed to him...Before vanishing as he pushed them away as he looked at the dust ridden cluttered room. Looking back at Sojiro, Joker gave a nod towards him in approval as Sojiro once again sighed.

"You know I'm not going to bite if you talk." Sojiro commented, but didn't push the issue as he turned back towards the stairs. "Anyway, I have a shop to run."

With that, Sojiro left Joker by himself in his room.

After looking it over and realizing what needed to be done, Joker began cleaning and setting everything up as it should be. He dusted there, he swept here, he placed the books on top of the desk, everything that he did the first time he redid here...The main difference being he now knew where everything went, so it went much faster.

After only about an hour, Joker was finishing up as Sojiro walked up the stairs and went wide eyed "I thought I heard something, never thought you'd actually clean it though...I'm impressed with how it's looking in such a short time."

Joker nodded again, though he figured he should finally say something "I used to have a maid, she taught me some tricks when cleaning."

"Huh? A maid? I wasn't told about your family being rich or anything."

"We weren't, I only hired her on days I had spare money is all."

"I see...What was her name?" Sojiro seemed to ask out of curiosity as Akira stopped sweeping as he looked with a small smirk.

"Her name was...Becky."

As the sun began to set, Joker sat at his desk as he was working on a pick lock, his third one actually. While he barely had any materials, he knew how to make what little things he had with him, plus whatever was in the room, into a lockpick good enough for the metaverse.

As Joker put the finishing touch on his third lock pick, he soon heard footsteps as he turned his head and saw Sojiro walking up the stairs "I'm impressed you've stayed quiet all this time."

Joker nodded, the lock pick he was working on easily hid as he quickly placed a book over it.

"Anyway, I'm heading home for the night. If you're caught outside, or if anything in my kitchen goes missing, your ass is out of here, understand?" Sojiro glared as he spoke, yet Joker still didn't flinch as he nodded. "Hmph, as long as you understand."

Sojiro turned and walked back down the stairs, and after a few minutes the door was heard opening and then shutting. A few more minutes passed, as Joker crossed his arm and began speaking "Five….Four….Three….Two...One…"

Ring Ring

On cue, Joker heard the phone as he quickly pushed himself up and walked down the stairs to the main lobby where the yellow phone, one he was very familiar with, was ringing as he picked it up. "Hello?"

"Hey it's me." It was Sojiro, as Joker knew "I forgot to turn the sign to close, think you could do that for me?"

"Yeah."

"Thanks." That was all Sojiro said before he hung back up, as Joker walked over and turned the close sign over.

Now that all interruptions were taken care of, Joker returned to his room and finished up his third pick lock before pocketing it along with the others. Quickly grabbing his phone, Joker looked at the time as he nodded "I have ten hours."

Speaking to himself, Joker then pocketed his phone as he walked over to the windows as he opened one, a trick he learned once, as he made sure the coast was clear before he jumped out of the window.

Thanks to his time in the area, Joker knew the streets very well and was able to make his way through the area without being caught very easily. Most of the people out at this time were drunks and police anyway, so it wasn't much to worry about.

Eventually, after making his way to the train station and catching the first train he could, Akira arrived where he wanted to be as he walked through the alleyway, his phone in his hand as he came out in front of the gates.

Looking it over, Joker felt his hand tighten around his phone as he opened the metaverse app and spoke "Suguru Kamoshida, Castle, School."

"Location Detected." The Metaverse app spoke as reality began to shift and change, as the building in front of him shifted and formed into a castle, as Joker felt his clothes also begin to shift and change until finally he was in the new reality.

After a few moments, Joker lifted up his hand as he looked at it, the now iconic red glove adorned on it. Not only that, but he was back in his black tailcoat and his mask was adjourned on his face. Reaching inside of his jacket, Joker felt both his knife and gun as well as he took both of them out.

With his knife in his right hand, and his gun in his left, Joker cracked his neck as he walked forward and onto the drawbridge.

After only a few moments, Joker walked inside as he entered the main room of the castle. He stopped as soon as he entered however, as he heard the sound of armor walking towards him. "Who goes there!?"

Three Knights came upon him as Joker looked at them, his knife and gun twirling in his hands as one of the guards pointed their spear at him.

"Intruder! Surrender your life to King Kamoshida!" Joker just stared at the knight as he gave a sigh and shook his head, as he raised his gun towards the knight. "Halt! Do no-Agh!"

The Knight screamed out and suddenly vanished into nothingness as Joker fired his gun, killing the knight in one shot. Joker's expression didn't change, as he wasn't ready to deal with this bullshit all over again.

"The intruder is hostile, protect the castle!" Another one of the knights called out as they both transformed into Pyro Jacks. "We won't let you harm King Kamoshida!"

The Pyro Jack called out as as both of them began charging up before suddenly shooting Agi at Joker, who simply stood still as the spells hit him directly.

"Intruder taken care of! Inform-...What!?" From confidence to disbelief, the Jacks starred as when the flames dimmed, Joker was standing with no bruises on him, still with a neutral look on his face. "A-Attack again!"

The Jack's charged up once again, but Joker sighed as he raised his hand that had his knife in it as he spoke "Mother Harlot! Ice Age!"

Joker spoke as suddenly a blue flame erupted around him as the persona Mother Harlot came forth, a woman with a skeleton face riding atop a demon with many heads appearing as she raised her hand before the Pyro Jacks suddenly were covered in Ice.

"W-What, K-King Kamo-AGH!" The Jacks screamed out before the Ice exploded, the two quickly vanishing into nothingness as Joker shook his head.

"Pathetic." Joker began walking as he made his way through the halls, taking down most shadows with a simple shot from his gun as Joker found the stairs he was looking for and began walking down.

After a few more shadows were taken care of, Joker found the dungeon as he looked around and tapped his foot on the ground. "Intruder! You're the one invading the castle!?"

Joker looked over at a single knight running over towards him, before transforming into a pixie as it began charging Zio.

However like the others, Joker simply stared at it as he began walking towards it, causing Pixie to back up some "H-Hey, stay back or suffer!"

When Joker didn't stop, Pixie unleashed Zio on Joker. Who simply stopped for a moment when the spell hit him, but continued slowly walking after it faded.

"W-What!? What's going on?" The Pixie began to panic as it started to fly back away from Joker rather quickly, even more despair setting in whe Joker raised his gun towards it "W-Wait! D-Don't."

"Answer my question." Joker spoke sternly as the Pixie forze "In this dungeon is a Cat, where is he?"

"A-A cat? Y-You mean that other intruder? H-He's in a cell across the bridge, on the right side."

"So, the same place. I see." Joker nodded as he readied his gun, causing the Pixie to panic even more.

"H-Hey wait! I-I answered the-"

A bang was suddenly heard as the Pixie exploded from the question as Joker shook his head "Damn Shadows….Don't worry Morgana, I'm coming!"

Joker said to himself as he looked at the lowered drawbridge and ran across, knowing exactly where Morgana was.

After vanishing from existence, Morgana thought that was the end. He would be nothing more than a memory at best, as he and the other Phantom Thieves had failed. The world would fall to ruin, and there would be nothing they could do to stop it.

So to say he was confused when he awoke, not only still in his Phantom Thief form, but also in Kamoshida's castle would be an understatement.

Not only that, but he could still feel his Persona and power within him, and he also still had all his weapons with him as well. Was this a part of Mementos? It's not completely out of the question he guessed, afterall he knew Mementos was mysterious in many ways.

However, the one thing that was making Morgana confused was the fact he had new memories...Or rather...Memories that he had long ago, but had suddenly returned. He didn't quite know what to make of them, especially in the current situation, but he figured he would share with the others if he ever found them.

Something he would find out almost immediately.

Just minutes after waking up and recovering himself, Morgana heard the screams of shadows in the distance. They were all yelling something before being defeated easily, as their voices grew softer and softer as more and more of them were destroyed.

Finally, the cries of the shadows went away. Silence filled the dungeon as Morgana stood in his cell, walking up to the bars to see if he could see what was going on.

He got an answer with the sound of what sounded like boots walking towards him, a very familiar sounding stepping sound until finally the figure walked in front of the cell as Morgana went eyed and cried out "Joker!"

"Mona!" Joker smiled as he got onto a knee and looked down at Morgana, relief on both of their faces "I'm glad to see you, I have no idea what's going on! But we're in a very mysterious place, have you found the others?"

"..." Joker went silent as his small faded, something Morgana caught as he tilted his head.

"I guess you haven't found them yet?"

"..." Joker remained silent as he suddenly pushed himself to his feet as he began working on the lock, Morgana's eyes not leaving him as he kept pushing.

"Joker, what are you not telling me?" Fear began to grip Morgana as he feared the worst, Joker still not answering until the door finally opened as Joker placed the lockpick back inside his pocket.

Once Morgana walked out of his cell with his eyes still locked onto him, is when Joker finally spoke "Mona. The others aren't here, it's just us."

"...Are they…?"

"They're alive...But they're not the same people we grew to know over the year. Well, rather...The memories we made together no longer exist."

"Were they brainwashed?" Morgana began thinking of theories as to what Joker meant, but Joker merely shook his head as he sighed.

"No, rather...Me and you have been sent back in time to April ninth, the day that I came to Shujin and Tokyo in general." Silence filled the air after Joker spoke, Morgana looking at him with a confused look.

Morgana went to say something, but closed his mouth as he looked down and thought before looking up again to speak….Before looking back down and thinking. This continued on for several minutes before Morgana shook his head and sighed.

"Joker you….You're not lying...Right?"

"Have I ever been one to joke?"

"...No...You're always serious...Maybe too serious at points but...Always serious all the same." Morgana looked back down as he raised his paws to his head "Time travel...How?"

"A man in a white coat and a half mask."

"Huh?"

"After my body vanished, I woke up in a garden, alongside a man with a white jacket and half of his face was a mask. He wasn't human, and he spoke in a very distant tone in a way. However, he offered me a second chance if you will. He allowed me to come back to this day with all my powers to defeat this unjust game we were forced to take part in. He also mentioned allowing you to come back as well."

"I wonder...Was it…?" Morgana whispered to himself, the memories he had recovered helping him fill in a few blanks as he nodded "I see, that would make sense."

"What would make sense?"

"It's nothing to worry about for now. So what's the plan? Stay on course and allow Ryuji to unlock his persona and then allow Lady Ann to do the same?"

"No." Joker answered quickly as he turned and looked out to the rest of the dungeon "I can't continue to risk their lives, not after what happened. Nor can I risk bringing them emotional pain by becoming close friends and then having my life ended on this new journey, so I've decided to avoid them all together. Me and you know what to do now, we're strong enough to retake on the other palaces and head straight towards that imposter."

Joker spoke with resolve as he took a step forward, only stopping when Morgana let out a rather large sigh "Do you really think that's the best course of action Joker?"

"Hm? Do you want them to get put back into danger? Atleast with us, we can-"

"It's not that." Morgana snapped back as he walked over to beside of Joker "In regards to having them not rejoining the Phantom Thieves, I can agree that we would be putting them into unnecessary danger. If you're anything like me, you still have all your Persona powers and weapons. If we were to recruit them, they would do nothing but hold us back and get hurt. However, I disagree with being an emotional husk and not even becoming friends with them."

"But if something hap-"

"Death is a part of life, Akira." Morgana ignored the code name as he used Joker's real name, making him go quiet as Morgana sighed once again "Everybody, at least once in their life, will lose someone important to them. It's just apart of life. Yes, you can make yourself miserable and rob them of making memories and friends by ignoring them and pretending they don't exist just to protect them from grief. However, people grow from grief. Haru lost her father, yet thanks to the friends she made, she had people to lean on and get past it. Not only that, but not making friends with them would be making their lives worse. Afterall, Ann has Shiho and nobody else. Ryuji has his mom, and nobody else. After Madarame is gone, Yusuke will have nobody. Makoto kinda has Sae and nobody else. Ect! Ect! Do you understand what I'm talking about Joker?"

Morgana practically yelled at the end as Joker looked at Morgana, taking his words in as he looked down "But even if I become friends with them, you-"

"I'll be fine. Even if they can't understand me and will only ever see me as your pet cat...As long as I'm with you guys, I'm happy." Joker looked over at Morgana who gave a smile as Joker looked back down at the ground.

"...Alright...If you say so...Morgana." Joker smiled back as Morgana nodded.

"Of course, Akira." The two smiled at each other and nodded before their serious expressions took back over. "So, what's the plan for now?"

Joker took out his phone as he looked at the time "Almost midnight, Boss will be there to wake me up to go meet with the principal and Kawakami for the first time at around eight, giving us enough time."

"Enough time?" Morgana posed it as a question, but smirked as Joker smirked back.

"Enough time to secure a path to the treasure! Lets go, Mona!"

"Oh, this is so not cooollll~" After fighting several shadows and making their way up towards the room of lust as Joker liked to call it, the two of them came upon the Fake Ann, "You guys are such, party pooopppers~"

"Hm, weird, Kamoshida always had this Ann with him. Yet she's by herself here." Morgana looked around the room, searching for Kamoshida to no avail as Joker shrugged.

"She wasn't a threat the first time around, so no reason to worry about her now." Joker placed his hands in his pockets and went to walk by her, when the cognitive Ann suddenly grabbed onto Jokers arm when he walked by her. "...?"

"Hey~ Whats the rushhhhh? Let's have some fuuunnnn~" The cognitive Ann attempted to seduce Joker, who kept looking at her with a neutral expression. "Come on~ King Kamoshida told me to take care of the intrudeeerrrss~"

"Kamoshida? This is different from the first time around." Joker looked back at Morgana as he talked, the Cognitive Ann still holding onto him as Morgana nodded.

"Unlike the first time, Kamoshida has no idea who you are or why you're here. Despite the amount of commotion we've caused, I can sense the security level barely increasing. It's possible that Kamoshida may be attempting to seduce us to stop us."

"Tch, should I be surprised that a pervert would use logic such as seduction to stop intruders?" Joker looked back at the Cognitive Ann and rolled his eyes. "So, you want to have some fun?"

"Ah yeahhhh~ Lets get na-AGH~" The cognitive Ann screamed out as Joker suddenly slashed her with his knife, making her fall to the ground and vanish into nothingness as Joker sighed.

"Damn Kamoshida…" Joker placed his hands back into his pockets and turned to continue on when Morgana suddenly spoke up.

"I've been meaning to ask."

"Hm?"

"What's our deadline? Even with our skills and knowledge, we can't always count on getting to the treasure in just one go. Last time with Kamoshida, our deadline was when you and Ryuji were going to be expelled."

"Deadline…" Joker stopped for a moment, thinking it over before nodding "April fourteenth. This coming Thursday."

"Any reason?"

"Yeah...That's the day that Kamoshida rapes Shiho in response to Ann not having sex with him, and the very next day is when Shiho attempted suacide. We can't allow that to happen, not with the knowledge we have." Joker gripped his glove as Morgana nodded.

"Yeah, no reason to allow it to happen this time. Also, I may be getting ahead of myself, but who is our next target after Kamoshida?" Joker turned around and faced Morgana, raising an eyebrow.

"If we go in order, next would be Madarame…"

"We have a problem though, as the best time to go after Madarame would be during his art exhibit. Plus, as bad as it sounds to say, we have to use the lesser of two evils approach. Who hurts people the most is who we should go after first. You could say Shido since he's the lead ringer, but…"

"It's hard to say how much his palace has formed right? Not to mention, if we don't take care of his underlings, they might somehow make him stronger."

"Yeah. If you want my opinion, Kanashiro would be the next best target to go after. His gang was going after high schoolers for a while now, and by the time we took care of him with Makoto, quite a few kids' lives were already ruined."

"Agreed. We'll go after Kaneshiro sometime next week."

"Not wasting time are you?"

"Don't have time to waste."

"Hm...Well, we can discuss it after we take care of Kamoshida."

"Right! Lets keep going!"

Joker and Morgana ran up the stairs that led to the throne room, the treasure getting closer and closer as they ran. "Joker! What's the time?"

Joker took his phone out as he kept running "One-Thirty! We're making good time!"

Morgana nodded as the duo eventually reached the top as they looked at the throne room, the half body statues beside the door as the two of them quickly jumped on top of one and looked inside of the throne room.

The duo were expecting to see Kamoshida and his guards all huddled together...But instead they were treated to an empty throne room, not a single shadow in sight. The two looked at each other in confusion before they jumped through the window and landed on the floor looking down on the room. "Weird, Kamoshida and his shadows should be here."

Morgana spoke as he looked around the room, his ears twitching as he tried to sense something, anything, but nothing was coming to him. Joker meanwhile began walking forward as he also kept an eye out.

After looking around for a moment, Morgana finally jumped back to the ground and ran over towards Joker as the two walked to the back door, the treasure hiding behind it. "It's weird, I'm not sensing anything…"

"Maybe it's because Kamoshida thinks that Cognitive Ann is distracting us?"

"Unlikely, especially with you cutting her down. He might be patrolling the castle with his other guards looking for us but….I don't know, I have a bad feeling about this Joker."

"..." Joker didn't say anything as the two of them reached the back door as Joker kicked it in, revealing the glowing ball that was Kamoshida's treasure.

"Well, much easier than the first time."

"Not surprising." Joker shrugged as he looked around the room, seeing if anything else was in it that he might have missed the first time here.

"Well anyway, now that we have a route, we can use the powers of the Cognitive World to automatically warp to the safe room right beside the throne room and come on in here." Joker nodded as he and Morgana went to leave when…

"Well Well Well, so you two are the thieves who broke into my castle and injured my princess." They suddenly stopped when they saw Kamoshida, or rather his shadow version, was standing in front of the door. "I had a feeling you were around here somewhere."

"What? But I didn't…" Morgana bit his lip as he looked at Shadow Kamoshida, shaking his head as he looked up Joker "I didn't sense him, but how?"

"Hm…" Joker hummed to himself as he looked down at Morgana and thought to himself "Maybe because we technically haven't met him in real life?"

"Would that really be it though?" Morgana said worryingly as once again Joker shrugged, as Kamoshida yelled out to them.

"Don't you thieves ignore me! I am the King around here after all!" Kamoshida stomped his foot on the ground as the pair looked back towards him.

"Somebody has an ego problem." Morgana whispered as he pulled out his sword and aimed it at Kamoshida, who gave a laugh.

"Hehe, you thieves seriously think you can challenge me?" Kamoshida gave a low laugh as he backed out of the treasure room and back into the throne room.

"Come on Joker!" Morgana yelled out as he ran towards the Throne Room, as Joker followed suit.

However, once the two ran into the throne room, they were met with a sight that shocked them both.

Shadows.

Shadows everywhere.

Not just a few like twenty-thirty.

The entire room was full.

Pixies and Pyro Jacks flew around the air.

Bicorns and Archangels filled the ground.

All in all, there were close to, if not over, a hundred shadows in the room.

Joker and Morgana looked across the room as Morgana's mouth gaped as he shook his head "W-Whats going on? I didn't sense them but...So many shadows."

"..." Joker remained quiet as Morgana panicked a bit, as Kamoshida gave a laugh.

"Haha! You Thieves now realize your mistake yeah? I've trapped you here, and now my guards will massacre your bodies! Once that's over, I'll go back to running my castle as I see fit! Hm...Perhaps I'll make Suzui my new princess since Ann proved to be a useless slut?"

Kamoshida had a perverted look on his face as he fantasized, causing Morgana to hiss at him "Bastard!"

Morgana prepared himself for battle, about to speak at Joker. But…."Ha…"

"Huh?" Morgana looked up at Joker, who's eyes were hidden behind his hair as he emitted a chuckle. "Joker…?"

"Haha….Sorry, it's just humorous is all." Joker looked back up at Kamoshida, his eyes giving off a killing intent as he raised his hand. "Humorous that he thinks we're the ones trapped."

"Joker…" Morgana's words left him, a chill running up his spine as he rarely, if ever, saw Joker give off this kind of vibe.

"Little shit!" Kamoshida sneered as he stomped his foot again. "I'm the King of This Castle! I demand you respect me!"

"Respect…?" Joker whispered to himself as he took a step forward, more laughs coming from as he shook his head "Why would I respect a son of a bitch like yourself?"

Joker raised his his hand to his mask, Kamoshida growling even louder as he looked to the hoards of shadows behind him. "Attack!"

The shadows nodded and all began charging up, making Morgana hold his breath in as he looked back at Joker "Joker, take cover!"

But his words fell on deaf ears as Joker laughed again. "Pathetic...Alice! Mudo Boost!"

Suddenly switching Persona's, Joker switched the Ultimate Persona Of Death, Alice. A Flame erupted around Joker, but unlike the Blue Flame from earlier, it was now Black as a little girl in a blue dress rose from his shadow.

Morgana took a step backwards, an unnerving fear swirling within him as he looked at Alice "T-This Persona...I-It's pure evil…"

"You said you wanted a massacre, King Kamoshida?" Joker spoke, but Alice spoke along with him as his voice and the young girl's voice mixed together, creating an even bigger feeling of despair.

"W-What's going on?" Kamoshida stammered as he took a step back, fear gripping him as he turned back towards the shadows behind him "A-Attack him!"

However, his words seemed to fall on deaf ears as all the shadows were frozen in place, despair and fear also running rampant in them as well.

Seeing all the fear spread in the room made Joker chuckle he raised his hand."Alice! Die For Me!"

The little girl gave a haunting laugh as the room began to darken, fear and despair increasing as Morgana felt his heart trying to beat out of his chest. He couldn't speak, he had never felt such fear before.

"Now then…" Joker and Alice spoke in unison once again as Joker's hand stayed raised. "Die!"

Joker then crushed his hand.

And the room exploded in a bloody, shadowy mess.

Every sadow, from the Pixies to the Pyro Jacks to the Bicorns to the Archangels all exploded as their shadowy blood covered the walls and floors, painting a picture of madness as Morgana and Kamoshida watched on in disbelief.

The shadow blood vanished as soon as it hit it's destination, but there was so much that it looked like it would never end.

The screams of the shadows were only drowned out by the haunting and devilish laugh from Alice, who's laugh only grew louder as more and more shadows were killed. Joker looked on with a small smirk of his own, especially as he saw Kamoshida curl up from all that was happening.

Finally, after almost a straight minute, the massacre finally stopped as the last shadow died. The blood all vanished as light returned to the room as Alice went back inside of Joker's shadow, her laugh still echoing even after she vanished as the figures of Joker, Morgana and Kamoshida were left.

Kamoshida was on the floor shaking, fear in his eyes as he looked up at Joker. "Y-You're…"

Kamoshida tried to speak, but swallowed from Joker's gaze.

"P-Pay for this!" Kamoshida yelled out as he pushed himself up and ran away, still shaking as Joker gave no chase. There would be no point without the treasure not forming yet.

Once Kamoshida was gone, and his nerves finally settled, Morgana spoke "J-Joker t-that Persona…"

"..." Joker didn't answer, still looking ahead.

However, just a few seconds later, Joker fell to one knee, his breathing easily heard as Morgana yelled "Joker!"

Morgana ran over to him, but not before Joker fell onto the ground passed out.

When Morgana reached and looked him over, he sighed with relief as he shook his head "He just passed out from exhaustion…But…"

Morgana looked back at the empty room which was filled with Shadows just a moment ago as another chill ran down his spine.

"Joker...Just how far are you willing to go to protect everyone this time?"
