Hey, this is my first official writing. This story is based off of a topic I wanted to read, but I found no one that wrote about it. I decided to write this so people who wanted to read about this kind of topic could indeed read it. Hopefully you guys will enjoy and feel free to leave reviews so I can improve my writing ability! Without further ado let us begin.

'I was so naïve, I should of seen the way they looked at each other,' My heart was heavy, my breath was shallow, and I was hurt. No more then hurt, broken. 'Why do the sprits hate me? She didn't care about me, and that was painfully obvious' I gave her my heart and she broke it. We had been dating for SIX MONTHS, hell I already loved her, but I see she didn't feel the same way. It hurt too much to face her.

30 Min ago: Aang's POV

I felt like I was on top of the world. I had ended the war, had the girl of my dreams, and had finished all my meetings for the rest of the month. I wasn't supposed to be back for another two weeks, but the council decided that I wasn't required for the last few meetings. I couldn't wait to be back at the fire nation palace. I had all my friends plus my girlfriend waiting for me. Everything was great, Sokka and Suki were doing fine, Toph was with her parents for the next couple months while she taught handpicked students to metalbend at her academy. Zuko and Mai fought, but they seemed fine for the most part. Katara and I were great, we would hang out while I was in town. I had really missed her.

I pulled out a necklace from in my pocket, Hakoda had come for one of the meetings about the South Pole and I choose the opportunity to ask to marry his daughter. He gave me his blessing and asked me to keep her safe. It was all so perfect. I landed Appa in the huge red and black stable and gave him some moon peaches and water then set off towards the palace. I airbended up to Katara's balcony and looked at the betrothal necklace one last time. It had a beautiful stone with a water tribe carving on one side and the other an air nomad symbol. A blue ribbon held it together. I could just imagine her reaction to seeing me and then the necklace. This was going to be a night to remember.

I was about to knock on the glass door when I heard a faint moan from inside. I peered in and my heart stopped. Inside was Zuko on top of Katara both naked under the covers. My Heart was shattered, my legs felt like jelly, and tears slid down my checks. I couldn't breathe, I turned and jumped down and ran towards the stables. I got to Appa and cried the pain away.

"Are we ever going to leave the palace?" Suki asked.

I looked at her and smiled, "Probably, maybe within a month or two."

"Good, I'd rather not live in this heat forever."

"Yeah, I miss the south pole and even Kyoshi Island."

Just then I looked over and saw a figure run in the stables. Suki also seemed to see it.

"What the hell was that?"

"I don't know, stay here I'm going to check it out," I responded. I got up and walked over to the stables and spotted Appa. I ran over and saw Aang throwing stuff on Appa's saddle

"Aang! Good to see you, what're you doing here, I thought you stayed for two more weeks?"

"D-don't w-worry, I was j-just leaving," He said while facing away from him. I could tell he had been crying and walked up to him and put a hand on his shoulder. I turned Aang around to see two puffy, red eyes staring back. He quickly turned back.

"What's wrong, Aang?"

"Nothing"

I pulled him over to the bench next to him and sat him down, "You know you can tell me anything, right?"

"I s-saw something I-I didn't want t-to see," He said in-between sobs.

"What did you see?" I said getting more and more worried.

"I saw K-k..." He stopped, "her cheating o-on me."

My worrying quickly turned to anger. "She WHAT?!"

Aang just shoved his head into his hands and wept. Suki rushed in to see a sad Aang and an angry Sokka.

"Sokka what happened?" She questioned as she comforted the crying Avatar.

"Katara cheated on him!" I yelled.

Suki gasped, "Why would she do that?"

"I don't know, but I'm going to find out!" As I was leaving I saw a blue necklace in Aang's pocket.

"Aang what's that?" Aang reached down looked at the necklace and then throw it on the ground.

"B-burn it when you get the chance," He said as he jumped up on Appa and flew away without another word. I picked it up and gasped, he was going to propose.

"Oh my god..." Suki put a hand over her mouth.

I stood up and made my way towards the palace. Katara was going to explain herself this instant!
