As usual, I sadly don't own anything from Harry Potter.

Tried to correct every grammar mistake I did in this story and make this sound as "British" as much as I could but this is the best I can.

"Who?" the red-headed boy asked again, albeit perfectly knowing who the girl meant but was just only barely listening, admiring the unfinished masterpiece he etched on the ground.

"Liam," the girl, Bella, said again. "Liam Davenfort. I heard he invited every boy in our class for a sleepover on his birthday. Do you think your parents will allow you to come?"

Frowning, he stopped drawing of what he thinks a nargle looks like on the dirt and looked at the girl in confusion. "But he never invited me."

"Really?" asked Bella in befuddlement. "Maybe his parents gave the invitation to your parents?"

Cocking his head, he considered the blond girl's suggestion and shrugged, "Maybe."

He then continued drawing on the dirt, putting spikes on his nargle's tail.

"Is that a dragon?" asked Bella again, who has now moved from the bottom of the slide across him that she was previously sitting on to his side, pertaining to his drawing on the dirt.

"No," answered Hugo with a shake of his head. "It's a nargle."

"A what?" Bella asked in confusion.

Hugo was about to explain what a nargle is when he remembered that muggles don't know anything about them. He sighed and said, "Nothing important."

Sometimes he is jealous of his cousins who are all attending or had attended a wizard primary school, pre-Hogwarts. His mother was adamant that he and his sister be enrolled in a muggle school so that, apparently, they would be immersed in both of their heritage or whatever rubbish that may mean.

Don't get him wrong though, he loves his muggle side of the family and the muggle world in general but he thinks it such a hassle that they have to keep their magic from them –not that he has one but that's beside the point! –Why can't they just have magic just like wizards do?

His sister, Rose, already got into too much trouble because her magic is already hard to manage no matter what they do to somehow control it to avoid scaring the muggles. Fortunately – or should it be unfortunately? He is not quite sure –he has not shown any magic yet which is why he has not been into any trouble in regards with magic at all. However, he is always teased by almost all of his cousins that he might be a squib –and that just can't happen! Nope. Never. This is why he is always begging Merlin to give him magic –even just a tiny bit –every night before he goes to sleep. His mother said that there is nothing wrong if he somehow, Merlin forbid, becomes a squib which he thinks is easy for his mother to say since she has magic and is not a squib.

His father, on the other hand, kept on reassuring him that he might just be a late bloomer. A very, very late bloomer, since he has been saying that for the past 3 years and, still, he still got no magic; and his father looks less and less reassuring as time goes by.

His mother said that he can wait until he is eleven before he got his Hogwarts letter before giving up. But Hugo doesn't want to wait that long. All of his cousins have already manifested their magic. Blimey, even Lily had accidental magic happened to her when she turned all of her toys purple since purple is her current favorite color at that time and Lily is the youngest of all of their cousins.

Now angry, he threw the stick he used to draw onto the ground he's drawing on and marched to an empty swing and angrily started swinging. He saw Bella followed him and took the swing next to him and started swinging cutely.

"Are you upset?" questioned Bella in trepidation. "I don't really know what a nargle is. I'm sorry if I made you upset."

Looking at Bella in confusion – which was pretty hard since the swing he is on was swinging rather fast –he skidded to a stop to face and answer her. She looked really worried and looks about to cry.

Bella is barmy like that. For some reason, Bella does not want him to be upset at her and is always doing stuff to make him happy. She also likes to be with him all the time. It's maybe because Bella does not have other friends because other girls do not like her, which is odd because he personally thinks Bella is a pretty enough girl. She has golden, wavy hair and cool green eyes. The other boys do not like to play with him that much as well; because Bella is always with him and they think she is scary.

He complained about Bella one time to his mum but he got a scolding instead because his mummy said that he is the only friend Bella has and that he should not try to get rid of her for him to gain other friends. She said a lot more after that but, honestly, he stopped listening after a while and just felt bad. He tried to be nice to Bella as much as he could after that; besides, he would get a lot of friends when he is already in Hogwarts. He hopes so anyway.

"No, I'm not upset," he assured her. "Don't cry. You'd look like an ogre if you do." Bella giggled and he gave her an obnoxious smile. "See, I'm not upset."

Wiping a tear off her cheek, Bella smiled and said, "I'm glad." She then got off her swing and went to kiss him on the cheek.

"Oh my goodness, guys! Look! Look at Hugh and Bella, guys!" shrieked a girl loudly, pointing at them in a scandalized manner. "They are kissing! Hugh and Bella are kissing, guys."

"Germs!" another girl shrieked. "Yuck!"

"Bella has boy-germs now," singsongs another girl while another girl started tauntingly singing, "Hugh and Bella kissing in the tree." Then all of them chorused with, "K-I-S-S-I-N-G!"

Embarrassed and as red as a tomato, Bella ran out of the playground leaving a gobsmacked Hugo all by himself.

Great, Hugo thought in annoyance, frowning at the giggling girls.

Hugo was not able to speak with Bella after that incident, not that he wants to anyway. He is just too embarrassed to face her. The worst thing is that the whole class, if not the whole school, knows about the incident by the end of their classes and started on taking a piss about it, which made him more embarrassed. Ugh! Bunch of prats,'s what they are!

He spotted Liam together with the other boys from their class huddled together, probably waiting for their parents to pick them up, and decided to be with them. He also wants to know about the sleepover that Liam will apparently hold and he just has to make sure if he is actually invited.

"Hey, Liam!" he greeted once he got close to the group who started making weird kissing gestures and is having quite a laugh about it. Frowning, he decided on ignoring them instead despite wanting to smack them right in the face, and said, "May I speak with you?"

Annoyed that their teasing was pretty much ignored, Liam responded with, "about what?"

Hugo kept quiet, refusing to talk around the group of boys, and walk a few steps away signaling Liam to follow him, which Liam did albeit begrudgingly.

"About what, Weasley?" Liam demanded without preamble.

Looking back at the group of boys, making sure that they would not be able to listen in, Hugo asked, "What day is the sleepover?"

Liam looked at him funnily and said, "What sleepover?"

"You know –the sleepover on your birthday?" Hugo reminded helpfully, he is very much confused why Liam forgot though. "Is it after the day of your birthday or during your birthday? Your Birthday falls on Thursday and we have class the next day and my mum would not let me go if it's during school days. Unless, of course, if it is on Friday because you know it is Saturday the next day and we don't have class on Saturdays."

Liam, for some reason, looks uncomfortable and took a while to answer him. He guessed it's because he did not plan about what day it would be held on yet.

"Sorry," Liam answered hesitatingly. "But there is no more space in my room for another one. There are no more sleeping bags available. Pardon."

"Oh, don't worry," Hugo said reassuringly. "I can bring my own. I have one since my grandparents love to go camping with me and my sister."

"Nooo," Liam objected, dragging the word almost whiningly. "We have a theme! So you can't just bring your own. We have to have matching sleeping bags."

"Really?" asked Hugo uncertainly. "Well, I can ask my mum to buy me one. What is it anyway?"

"It's already sold out. Like all of 'em," Liam said matter-of-factly. "You can't find any of it at any store anymore."

Hugo highly doubted that since his parents can just magic his sleeping bag and he can have whatever sleeping bag Liam requires for the sleepover. "Well you can just show them to me, don't worry. I'm sure my parents can find them in no time."

"No!" Liam practically shouted which surprised Hugo quite a bit. "I said they're already gone. Maybe next time, yeah? Bye!"

Liam ran back to his friends without waiting for his reply. Upset, he turned around and went to wait for his mummy to pick him up at another place. He was unconvinced with Liam's reasoning on why he can't come to his sleepover although he somewhat understood that Liam might just not want to let him bother his parents on finding the specific sleeping bag since he does not know a thing about magic.

See, it is such a hassle that muggles doesn't know about magic.

He spotted his mum not a moment later waving at him near their car, motioning him to come to her, and ran towards the car. Before he reached the car though he noticed Liam's mum's car just behind theirs and Liam's mum just walked out of it. Instead of stopping at their car, Hugo decided to run towards Liam's mum instead which made his mum call his name in alarm but he ignored it.

See, Hugo is out on a mission today.

"Hi, Mrs. Davenfort," he greeted, his lungs trying to get as much air as possible. "I'm Hugo Weasley. I'm Liam's classmate."

Although obviously confused, Mrs. Davenfort smiled at him, "Well, hello there, dear. Do you need help with something?"

"Actually, yes," Hugo answered; he looked back and noticed his mother frowning at him reproachfully by the side of their car, and behind her is Liam running towards them. "Liam said that we have to match sleeping bags for the sleepover and that everything is already taken. May I know what kind is it so that I can show my mum what to buy?"

"Oh, oh no, dear," Mrs. Davernort said softly and seemed to be relieved about something. "You can bring any sleeping bags you have, no worries."

"What? But Liam said –" Hugo started, very confused –but was cut off by Liam's rather loud, "Mum!"

Hugo and Mrs. Davenfort looked at Liam in alarm, even Hugo's mum walked towards them looking alarmed as well. Liam was red in the face and is gasping for air as if he ran in a marathon. Hugo noticed that he looked rather angry as well, though he is not quite sure why.

"I said there's no more space, Hugh!" Liam shouted at him indignantly. "Don't come!"

Liam then shouldered him on his way to their car and shouted to his mum for them to leave. Hugo felt Mrs. Davenfort's hand on his shoulder as if to console him then left to scold her son. He stood there, numb, and watch Liam's car start to leave. He felt his mother enveloped him with a hug.

"Oh, Hugh," his mother said sadly, kissing him on the side of his head.

Angry and absolutely outraged, he wished for their car to just explode into pieces; that will teach him a lesson. He just can't take a break, can he? First, the girls were making fun of him and Bella because of the incident that happened earlier, and now this? Liam can just tell him to sod off and not makeup lies to stop him from joining their bloody sleepover. He's not that interested anyway.

As if one embarrassing moment isn't enough already; Merlin just has to double it.

Stopping the furious ranting he is doing inside his head, he felt his mother's hands on both of his shoulders, shaking him rather aggressively.

"Hugo Weasley, I said stop it this instant!" he heard his mother demanded sternly, looking at him with panic in her eyes, it seemed like she has been shouting at him for a while but he is not quite sure why.

Bewildered, he looked at his mother confusedly. "Oh, Hugh, I know you wanted to have magic so bad but I never thought it would show like this."

'Magic?' Hugo thought wordlessly, still utterly confused.

He then looked across the street and saw Mrs. Davenfort hastily opening the passenger door of their car where Liam, who was crying loudly, is seated. That was then he noticed that their car is in smoke and all the tires seemed to have been blown up. He also noticed that the windscreen was shattered into pieces. The car looks like it collided with another high speeding car except there was no collision that happened. Mrs. Davenfort was able to pry open the car door and retrieved a rather traumatized looking Liam out of the car.

Hugo's mum ushered him to their own car and then he watched her go towards the Davenforts to help after making sure he is secured being by himself in their car. He is not quite sure what happened after that, he was too scared to know. He hoped that they're okay. He didn't mean to do it.

Did he do it, though? Isn't he supposed to have no magic at all? And he did pray to have magic but he never asked to have the accidentally-killing-people kind of magic. What if he'll be arrested by his Uncle Harry and be sent to Azkaban? He doesn't want to go to Azkaban and he didn't mean to do that. So he cried. He cried and cried until he heard his mummy open the driver's seat door and get into the car and embraced him consolingly.

"I didn't mean to mummy," Hugo confided to his mother, crying his heart out. "I swear. I didn't"

"Ssh," said Hermione sympathetically, "I know, sweetie, I know."

Hugo cried and cried some more, enveloped in his mother's embrace, his mother soothingly running her hand on his back.

"Am I going to be sent to Azkaban, mummy?" asked Hugo in between sobs after a while, worry dripping in his voice.

His mother wiped the tears off his face and smiled sadly, "Of course not, baby, mummy will take care of everything, okay? You don't have to worry about a thing."

Hugo nodded, somehow relieved that his mummy was there with him, and embraced his mother once more, feeling safe in his mother's arms. Amidst, the fear and the regret he felt he realized that he is not a squib but he was quite sure Merlin hates him by giving him his magic through this.

This will be a collection of one-shots focused on Hugo Weasley because there are very little fanfics about him that I can find. The first chapter is supposed to be very cutesy as they are around ages 8-9 here but it kinda went dark a little bit at the end and I don't know how to end it nicely so if the ending sounds kinda lame that is because I don't know how to end it. Please let me know about you thought about this story. Should I write more? Also do British people sing the K-I-S-S-I-N-G song and do kids say pardon? or do you just say sorry? And what's the term you use for cooties? And is Primary school the correct term? How about sleepover? Hehe.
