How are you different?
John sent Sansa to Dragonstone in his place.
"I have three large dragons. I'm going to fly them to the Red Keep." Daenerys snapped.
"If you use your dragons to burn cities, how are you different?" Sansa asked her while she studied Dany, she noticed Dany was shaking with fury.
Before Dany answered, Sansa asked another question.
"Why should we choose you? The people of Westeros, why should we choose you?"
"I was born to rule the seven kingdoms." Daenerys snapped back, strong in her conviction that it was her birth right.
Sansa looked at her in silence with a look of disappointment in her eyes.
"Rhaegar did something strange, he left Dorne but he did not go immediately to the Trident to face Robert Baratheon, first he rode to King's Landing. There's rumors that he switched his son Aegon with a farmer's son and had him smuggled out of the city before it was raided. There are other rumors, that my aunt Lyanna had a child and that's why Rhaegar was in Dorne, hiding her away." Sansa said calmly as she watched Dany get angier and angier as she spoke.
"If one of those rumors were true, then it's not your birthright, you're not the last of the Targaryens. Why should we choose you? Westros has never chosen a queen if there were any other options."
"I" Dany stuttered, shocked and angry at this turn.
"Do you know why Robert Baratheon was chosen to be king? It was not just because he defeated Rhaegar, Robert was chosen because he had Targaryen blood. His grandmother was Rhaella Targaryen. If we wanted to reinstate the Targaryen dynasty there would be a dozen families that have Targaryen blood, that have lived here and know our customs." Sansa continued as Dany watched her in shock.
"You have dragons, that 's true. Will you use them to force the people to accept you? Use them to make the people cower in fear of you? Fear will only keep them down for so long. Eventually the people will rise up against you. Answer me this Daenerys Targaryen, why should westeros, why should I choose you to lead us? Why should I put my faith in you? Why should I trust you with my life, my family's lives, my country mens and the future of my country? Until you can answer that without saying because it's your birthright, you're the last Targaryen or your dragons, then you're not worthy of my trust or the throne." Sansa finished. She turned on her heel and walked away from Dany's group on the beach.
Tyrion and Varys watched her walk away with awe on their faces. Missandei and Grey worm watched her in disbelief and Dany watched her walk as all her naive ideals shattered.
