(I'm stuck in a never-ending dream. Where my wishes and hopes cannot be seen) – (As the title fades were shown Ryuichi as he stands in Glastonbury Abbey looking over King Arthur's grave in thought.)

(And it's killing me, but I can't let go) – (In the main room of the ORC, Rias is shown to be looking out the main window with a forlorn look in her eyes before closing them in sad contemplation. A tear falls from her right eye as she thinks of Ryuichi.)

(There's a sadness raining down on me. And the future is looking oh so bleak) – (Ryuichi stands in forested area of Kuoh Academy in the middle of the rain as he summons the Invisible Air in his hands, looking upon the blade wondering what form it really is. Rias watches him from outside with an umbrella over her head as her fears manifest in the form of Riser Phenex with his back behind her yet on fire.)

(But I'm holding on, so dearly, to precious memories) – (The two then suddenly turn to and see each other from their respective spots looking back at each other with longing in their eyes and smiling at each other. Rias' fears in the form of Riser banish away in the process as the Rain stops and the sun soon shines through the clouds.)

(To protect the ones I cherish I've got to be stronger) – (The scene then changes to the rest of the ORC, Issei, Kiba, Koneko, Asia, and Akeno, in the daytime as everyone is together talking and enjoying tea as Ryuichi looks in the mirror and sees King Arthur's visage over his.)

(Don't want to hesitate, I wanna to be braver) – (The scene then cuts to Kiba and Ryuichi standing far with their blades drawn for training as the two swordsmen prepare to duel with the rest of the ORC cheering them on.)

(So no matter what may come I can face the morning sun) – (The next scene then turns dark as it shows the Fallen Angel group, with Dohnaseek, Mittelt, and Kalawarner sitting in the rooftop of the church and ray are levitating above them, and a large group of stray exorcists on ground floor.)

(Brave Shine!) – (The two sides begin their conflict, with Ryuichi engaging Dohnaseek with his Invisible Air as sparks fly.)

(Cause you brought me to your world and gave me light) – (Rias and Akeno then blast the large group of Exorcists with both lighting and Power of Destruction, clearing away a good amount of them as Koneko unleashes a shockwave by slamming her fist to the floor, erupting the earth and taking out many of them too.)

(On the night I suffered most, you saved my life) – (The scene then pans to Kiba and Freed as the two attempt to strike the other with sparks flying between.)

(Wielding all the things that we believe in; A test of faith I know I can win) – (The scene then show Issei and Ryuichi as they take on Milttelt, Kalwarner, and Raynare. The next scene swiftly changes to Ryuichi charging up his sword with light before slamming it to the ground, blinding everything in yellow and white light.)

(I'll grant us love and peace for all time) – (The scene then cuts to Ryuichi after the fight as he stands with Excalibur in his hands as everyone rallies in front of the ruined church as the group then smiles at their newest friend and he walks to join them.)

(Cause you shine!) – (The last scene shows King Arthur's grave at Glastonbury Abbey with Excalibur stuck into the grave marker as the title card shows once again.)

Chapter 3: Life As A Devil and New Friends

Garden of Avalon – Main Tower Room

So here I am staring at the man who brought Arthur/Artoria to power, but why now was he here? I couldn't help but have my mind go a million miles per hour until the mage spoke again.

"Calm yourself friend, I am here to help you. A sort of guide along your journey," Merlin replied as he probably noticed my concern.

Just as I was about to speak once more he put his hand up to stop me and continued, "I know you have many questions, but allow me to best explain everything I can to you."

I decide to lend him my ear, knowing that if I started asking so many questions like a rapid fire, I'd get nothing out of it.

"First, as a question as to how you and I are here in the DxD world as you know it, that is courtesy of my jailer, Morgan Le Fay," Merlin's admission surprised me.

How does she have that much power I know Morgan is the Lady of the Lake's opposite but she's not that strong?

"Morgan Le Fay?" I asked. "As in, Arthur's sister? That witch?"

"The very same," Merlin nodded. "As for how she gained that power, it was simple. She took it for herself after putting me here in this tower in the aftermath of Arthur's passing after the Battle of Camlann. She had nearly free rein over Camelot, but the one thing that stood in her way was the Lady of the Lake. Just as Morgan Le Fay embodied darkness and chaos, so too did she have an opposite who embodied light and order, the Lady of the Lake."

Merlin began once more brining me from my thoughts.

"However, in that moment I noticed that with her gone and elsewhere I had a small chance to help Camelot in its time of need. Before she could take the Lady of the Lake's magic, I was able to preserve what little remained of Arthur's soul and freed it so that she could not get her hands on it."

"I'm feeling a 'but' somewhere in here," I replied.

"Shush, no interruptions from the peanut gallery," Merlin harshly reprimanded.

'Asshole,' I thought to myself.

"I knew that Morgan would notice my disturbance and come looking for me and take back what she thought was rightfully hers from birth. But in the process of preserving the king's soul, this fragment of power meant the power of Excalibur had been made to its weakest form."

"What do you mean? What does Arthur's soul have to do about Excalibur?" I inquired.

"Well as you remember, Bedivere took the sword to the Lady of the Lake after Arthur's passing, but in order to make sure the sword would never fall to enemy hands she decided the best way to do so would be to shatter the blade into fragments. This way even if Morgan got her hands on it she would have to find all of them to reforge the sword. But Bedivere wasn't quick enough."

I asked, "What do you mean?"

Merlin continued, "Before she could spread the fragments across the universe, Morgan launched her assault at the Lady of the Lake, having discovered what became of the sword. In her haste of desperation, the Lady of the Lake was only able to send the fragments to one location where she hoped it would be beyond Morgan's reach. However, with Excalibur and Arthur's fate tied in hand in hand, and with the sword now broken, the king's soul had grown weak. That is why it is less powerful than what it was in its prime."

"So you're saying that the Lady of the Lake sent the fragments to the DxD world? Is that how they came to be or was that also because of their battle?" I asked again.

The sage nodded in agreement, "Yes. Just as the fragments were sent, Morgan used the power she had stolen from the Lady of the Lake to distort time itself and in the process the fragments were scattered yet convened to one location instead of multiple locations. Many were collected by the church as you know, and one fragment was forged into Excalibur Ruler, now in the hands of the House of Pendragon in the DxD world."

"So are you saying then that those shards of Excalibur have something to do with me and Arthur?" I had to know the answer to this. What was my connection to Arthur and Excalibur?

"Yes, since I was able to save part of his soul, you now wield the Invisible Air, a weakened base version of Excalibur, but in its own right a powerful weapon. But without the shards it is only a shell of its former glory. That is why if you see the shards you must collect them and restore Excalibur to its full power."

My eyes widened hearing that revelation, "Me? Hold Excalibur? But why I'm just some stranger and besides isn't there already an Arthur Pendragon in this world?"

"That is true, but due to Morgan's time distortion, history has also been changed as well. The Pendragon family you know is only a side branch of the family and as the holder of both the true king's soul and the sword itself. Unbeknownst to them, Morgan controls them from the shadows."

This bode ill news. If Morgan held the House of Pendragon in the palm of her hands, then she can use them like puppets on a string. And with her newfound powers from the Lady of the Lake, she can remain undetected by her enemy now indoctrinated.

"This means you have been selected by fate, Ryuichi Naruse, to be the heir of Arthur's legacy and of Camelot," Merlin proclaimed. "To redeem the Pendragon family and restore Avalon to its glory once more. I know you have your doubts, but you are worthy, my boy. Your care for others and kind heart, along with your wits, make you the best candidate for this task," Merlin said with a bow as he lowered his head to me.

This was a lot to take in; to think that I was the heir to the Pendragon name and in a way it seem fate and destiny played their own hands. I never would've thought anything like this would happen.

But as I looked back on that dream I had before coming here, at Camlann it felt more like I was there in Arthur's shoes seeing that destruction and death.

As I was thinking suddenly a large number of flower petals began to dance around us, Merlin's face showed acknowledgement at the moment.

"Seems we're running out of time. I promise we shall see each other again. Always remember that no matter what fate is bestowed upon someone, one has the ability to change their destiny. In this you must remember that above all," Merlin said as he was prepared his farewell.

But I still had one more question, "Wait, who did Arthur love? Who is 'Ven'?" At this Merlin's eyes seemed to widen for a split second but returned to normal as he answered.

"Ah well, as they say seeing is believing. I think you should spend some time with the Lady Gremory and perhaps you'll figure out that mystery for yourself," He said with a wink as the petals whisked me away.

After leaving Merlin breathed a sigh of relief but as they did the sound of their voice changed, its pitch was different.

As the hood came off once again this time it reveal a more feminine face and features too. "He" was a she. Her body was slimmer and slightly curved. Her breasts were modest nowhere near as large as say Rias Gremory or Akeno Himejima, but she was proud of them.

"Hah, even if that's only one of my forms though I don't like using it that much. It sucks I didn't get to use this one on him. I wonder how'd he react to it? If anything probably like Arthur all red and flushed."

Besides, just like she was Arthur's teacher, she'll do all she can to help him in his quest. Everything that she had taught Arthur; from combat in the sword, to magecraft, and… other intimate subjects.

"This is going to be fun," She said with a chuckle as she went back to enjoying the flowers and now thinking many ideas for young Ryuichi's training.

ORC Building

As I finally opened my eyes, I got up slowly as I thought back to all Merlin told me about in the tower.

Never in my wildest dreams would I be picked for such a grand mission. But I guess in some ways there's no use crying over spilt milk. Just clean it up and keep going on.

As I got out of bed and went to the bathroom to prepare for the day and put on the uniform I got from the yesterday, I headed out to the main room to find… nobody.

"Well they're probably all at class so of course they won't be here all day, every day." I said to myself as I decided to use what quiet time I had to myself and decided to peruse the bookshelf nearby and found several books on demonology and others.

For about the next three hours I was in there with a pile of books sitting on the table when finally I heard a door open and looked to see it was Akeno who came in.

"Oh Akeno, good afternoon." I greeted her with a smile. For all her teasing efforts she was a nice person so I can't always think she's going to tease me all day.

"My, my someone seems energetic to start the day. I hope this work isn't too much for you." She replies as she walks off towards I believe to be the kitchen.

Guess no rest for the wicked, no pun intended.

But now that she's here I guess I can ask her that. Walking into the kitchen, as I open the flap to the it, I see her from behind for the first time and now seeing her in uniform only I can see how it all accentuates her curves. Even though the skirt hides part of it, from a second I thought I could see the hem of her panties.

No, stop you idiot, You are not a pervert. Leave that trope to Issei.

As I look her over I can't help but look lower and lower until my gaze ends on her butt which I catch myself staring for a few second until the Gremory queen seems to catch me.

"Oh my, you know you can ravish me anytime? We are alone after all." She said her voice sultry and sweet with her face red like mine.

Finally coming out of my stupor, I then ask her what I've had on my mind for a while now. As the Priestess of Thunder and as a Queen she's probably skilled in all types of elemental magic.

"I was wondering if you would be willing to help me in using my demonic energy and some basics in magic perhaps?" I asked her.

"But you've only recently started why go so far?" She asked me.

"Well as it stands me and Issei are inexperienced compared to all of you, so any practice will be good for us. Please?" I asked tacking on the 'Please' at the end even though I know she'll use any chance she can to tease me later even if it means teaching me.

A smile crossed her face as she replied, "Okay, I'll teach you and Issei if he chooses to join us."

I nod to her with a smile on my face. I know this all seems fast, but I have to get stronger for what's to come. No matter what.

Later on Issei came in next surprisingly without Kiba to escort him as he saw the two of us he greeted us, "Hey; Ryuichi, Akeno how are you guys?"

"Good, hey Issei Akeno agreed to teach us about magic later on if you want to join us?" I asked him.

Suddenly he gained a sad look on his face as he replied, "Oh well uh… I don't know."

Oh, I think he still believes that Rias is still mad at him for mot getting a pact yet. Although it's not true I guess he can't help it.

"Well you don't have to come so soon, Just think about it alright?" I replied to him as I put a hand on his shoulder trying to cheer him up.

Later on the rest of the ORC came and we all began our routine of everyone going out and doing their contracts. While me and Issei continued our deliveries, afterwards everyone had mostly gone and me and Issei were organizing paperwork.

"Well I think I've done it again, she got mad at me again today." Issei said in a complaining tone.

"Who, Rias? What's wrong?" I asked him a feeling inside telling me I should already know.

"I meet this really cute nun on the way to school today and when we got to the church I started getting this weird feeling in my head and left hand. Then when I got to school Rias went of on me about never going to the church ever again." Issei explained.

So he's already met Asia, I could still remember that scene when he first saw her all klutzy having fallen over and then… her small and round butt and white panties pointing towards the sky. Oh what I wouldn't have given to motorboat that sight.

WAIT, WHAT?! What the hell am I thinking I' not Issei and I'm not a pervert, damn it!

"Hey dude, are you okay? You're all red in the face and everything?" Issei inquired to my condition.

I'm all red because somehow I though about Asia in that way. Geez, maybe Issei is getting to me just a little bit hearing him over and over talk about his dream.

"But honestly dude, I think she's just looking out for you. I don't think she hates you or thinks you're a failure. Besides, you had one bad time that's all. You'll have plenty of chances later on. As for your friend, I think you'll see her again, she can't just stay in that church all day." I told him trying to cheer him up once more.

"I guess, but the way she talks and stuff it doesn't really come off like that. But you're right, I can't let one little thing get in my way and maybe I can see Asia just not in the church is all." Issei replied looking a bit more chipper.

Akeno then suddenly appeared behind Issei's seat, "Besides, you shouldn't worry. Like Ryuichi said, she's just looking out for you dummy."

Suddenly the door opened and Rias herself appeared, "Your all still here?" She said to Akeno.

The priestess then suddenly got serious and said, "We've just received word from the Archduke, an urgent request. A stray devil has been reported."

Rias and Akeno then looked serious and later on everyone arrived and were teleported to the site where the stray had been said to be hiding out.

Abandoned Warehouse, Kuoh Town

"Stray devils were once devil servants who have rebelled and killed their master at a chance for freedom. From there they become strays." Kiba explained to us.

"It's said that this stray has been luring people into that warehouse and eating them. Not too hard, all we have to do is find it and kill it." Akeno reported.

"Sounds just like what I heard about, except for the eating part." I said playing along.

"These things are pure evil and care only for their desires. Just let me warn you two it'll probably look ugly." Kiba warned us again.

As we all headed inside Rias began to speak in a stern tone, "Issei, Ryuichi are you both familiar with chess?"

"Yes. I've played in the past." I replied. "Um yeah. But I suck at it." Was Issei's reply.

Rias then went on to explain the various pieces used in the Evil Piece system and how they are given to servants and how in the process are given immense power.

"So why are you telling us this?" Issei inquired. "I want you two to pay attention to my servants as they do battle here tonight." Rias replied.

Suddenly a repulsive stench reached my nose as I nearly retched at the smell.

"It's here" Me and Koneko said in unison.

"Now what could that foul, fecal smell be? I wonder if it tastes sweet or bitter? But… something else is here and it smells divine." A sultry voice spoke. But what she just said does that mean she can smell Excalibur or my soul?

From behind a column in the room the stray devil appeared. Well only her top half, he naked body with her breasts jiggling about.

"I see big boobies!" Issei immediately said seeing the only thing he liked. I smacked him in the back of the head to stop his blind admiration.

"Stop you moron, she's been killing people. Pay attention." I chided him.

"Viser, you wretch. You killed your master to sate your own wants and lustful desires. Your sins are enough for a thousand punishments in Hell. On the name of the great Marquis of Gremory, begone or meet your death!" Rias proclaimed.

"Geez, how comic book-ish is that? No wonder she's a closet Otaku. She only does it to look cool." I thought to myself watching Rias' threat.

"Oh give it a rest you little slut. You always had it in for me, cause your breasts will never be as luscious as these." Viser replied as she began to massage her own breasts in front of everyone.

"I won't say this again, go back to your master now!" Rias gave her last warning.

"Woah this is a stray devil… she looks like a pornstar." This kid will get himself killed again like that one day I swear.

"Let me show you what I'm made of then." Viser said as a giant arm appeared and Issei seemed to snap out of his drooling state.

"See what Kiba meant Issei?" I said to the pervert. "Always ends in ugliness." Kiba finished

Her whole body emerging from the darkness, Viser's lower half had a snake for a tail, two giant arms for feet and a skeletal body in the middle which I knew carried a large jaw.

"She does have a nice rack though." Issei commented again. But that was the last he would be as Viser was massaging her breasts suddenly a magic circle appeared around them and they fired off a large acid beam.

Everyone dodged out of the way with me grabbing Issei and me using my wings to take him out of the way.

"Please be careful next time Issei." Rias warned him. "Yeah, thanks man." Issei said as he turned to me.

"Kiba." Rias announced and in the blink of eye he was gone. "Woah, he vanished." Issei commented.

"No, he's just moving very fast." Rias corrected him. Kiba's my knight, his power is speed and he's an expert with the sword."

He then proceeded to cut off her two arm-hands with them both bleeding out as they feel dead on the ground.

Viser not happy began to change in appearance with razor-sharp teeth and her middle half doing the same.

Koneko now approaching the stray slowly. "Koneko, watch out!" Issei screamed.

In the next moment she was eaten by Viser, but Rias wasn't worried. "Don't worry about her."

Suddenly as Viser thought she had gotten one of them suddenly the mouth was forced open showing Koneko fine, but her clothes torn in some places.

"In this game she's my Rook, she carries enhanced strength and endurance." Rias once again explained.

"Catch you on the flip side." She said in her same monotone voice as she sent Viser flying with one punch breaking a column in the process.

"Okay, note to self: Don't piss her off." Issei said. "Akeno, finish this." Rias said to her Queen.

"Oh goody is it my turn ? I absolutely love this game." She says happily she now gets to do whatever she wants to Viser. But as she's going to finish her off. I suddenly hear something behind us.

I see its one of Viser's arms that was cut off by Kiba and it springs toward Rias, I quickly move towards and scoop her up in my arms, turning to Issei who was also paying attention.

"Issei, get it!" I yelled to him. "Got it, Sacred Gear!" He screamed out as the gauntlet appeared on his arm, turning the arm to mush.

"T-thank you." Rias said as I sat her down. "Always be careful right?" I parroted her words to her.

"Good on you Issei." I congratulate him. "I just did it on instinct, you looked cool to saving the President like that." He replied.

"Akeno, finish her off." Rias said now getting tired of this.

"I've got news for you. You aren't the only one who likes to play rough around here. So let's you and I have some fun." She says with a sadistic smile on her face as she readies her lighting magic.

"Akeno is my queen, she carries many attributes. But her specialty is dark magical energy and…" Rias explains as Viser receives a great shock from Akeno.

"You're a tough girl aren't you? That means I get to play some more!" She says giddy as she continues to electrocute Viser even while she's down.

"This violence its making me all hot." Akeno says she licks her lips sensually. "She's really into S&M." Rias explains Akeno's penchant for getting off on violence.

"Not gonna lie, that's really hot." I said to myself, but no one seems to be paying attention. "You mean she gets off on this?" Issei says shocked at learning this.

"Is this as good for you as it is for me?" Akeno says as she continues her assault on the stray devil. "Akeno, I think that's enough." Rias says and her Queen finally stops.

"Ah, over already and I was really starting to have fun." Akeno said with a pout but a smile on her face a moment later.

While Akeno had her back turned and is walking back towards us I can Viser twitch again and she then tries to lunge for Akeno!

I move as quickly as I can and summon the Invisible Air to my hands as I land in front of Akeno, as Viser stands up to try and bite down on us, as I held the blade in my hands I could feel more power swell inside as the air around the blade began to stir I let off multiple swings as blades of air began to cut Viser to pieces as most of her lower half is destroyed but she's still alive as she falls to the floor.

He screams echoing throughout the warehouse I could only say one thing that came to mind, "Music to my ears." What I should've expected was another voice to sound in unison that being Akeno as she had a red flush on her face.

Her eyes showed a hungry gaze as she looked straight at me. A blush too was on my face as I looked away. I guess maybe I could get used to his blade, but still…

"Well, well, interesting technique Ryuichi." I could hear Rias' voice as she seemed impressed with my abilities.

She then walked up to Viser as she then said to the stray in a condescending voice, "Any last words?"

"G-go to hell." She said. More then willing to oblige her Rias summoned a large magic circle ad finished by saying, "Game over."

A large blast of Destruction power obliterated Viser and left nothing behind.

"We're done here. Let's go home." Rias said as she turned back to all of us. Suddenly I felt a pair of arms grab me from behind my shoulders and it was Akeno.

"My my, you really are strong Ryuichi and we share something in common too. I can only imagine all the fun we could have alone." She purred into my ear.

My face is as crimson as Rias' hair as my confidence from before plummets as she then puts her breasts on my left arm and begins to lick my ear.

"U-um Akeno, please stop I beg of you." I asked her as I scratched my red cheek in embarrassment as everyone was now looking at us.

"I have to say Ryuichi when I first say your Sacred Gear, I was perplexed and that move just now was amazing." Despite her praise, I could hear how careful her voice was.

"Well like Issei I just acted on instinct that's all. Like it just came to me all of a sudden." I explained to her.

I then raised my right hand to see that the Invisible air was still there, and everyone was looking at it with intent.

In my peripheral vision, Kiba was now looking at theme more than everyone else I think. Is he simply curious or something else?

"Oh come on, we just started, and he's already got everything on me!" Issei whined with anime tears as we all just sweat drop at his antics.

"Well then let's go." Rias said as we all began to leave.

"Hey, wait a minute." Issei said as Rias turned around. "What is it?" She inquired.

"Well what pieces are me and Ryuichi, tell me am I some sort of bad-ass Knight or something like that?" Issei asked.

"You're a pawn and Ryuichi is my other Rook." She answered. "But I don't want to be a pawn." He said in a whiny voice.

"Well sorry that's just how it is." Rias replied back.

Issei was still upset so I tried to cheer him up, "Hey don't get all down dude, I read in one of those books in the ORC that pawns can promote to different pieces. That means you could become a Queen temporarily and be just as strong as Akeno, maybe."

"Really, I could be that strong?!" He replied excitedly.

"Besides dude, remember even a foot soldier can be a hero and turn the tide who knows." I added on.

"Yeah, you're right dude. Thanks!" He made a move to high-five me and I returned it.

"Well someone seems to be quote knowledgeable in demonology now." Rias commented with a smile on her face.

"Well I did have hours to myself in the ORC since I can't go walking around campus. So I decided to indulge myself. You can ask Akeno I had a small stack by the time she'd arrived." I explained.

"Oh yes and it was quite surprising too. Almost as surprising as when he tried to…" Akeno's mouth was covered by my right hand.

My face red as a rose as I begged her not to talk about it, even then I could tell she was smiling while I was covering her mouth.

Everyone looked at us in confusion as we left, and everyone left for home later on.

A Week Later

It's been a week since the stray devil incident, and I've been doing mostly deliveries and taking on spare contracts whenever anyone's booked too much.

I've seen Yuki over and over again this week as she seems to be calling on me more and more these last few days. She's fun to be around and some of her stuff is really good.

But recently she's been a lot more handsy, sometimes she won't want a massage but just wants someone to hang around with a watch anime and chat for a while.

I've got to say though, she really is quite the catch she still wears that short dress whenever we hang out and I got to say it does her wonders in her looks.

I've got to stop; it's only been a week or so since I've been to this world and I'm slowly becoming a pervert like Issei. Damn it!

But in other news over the weekend, me and Issei decided to train together and Kiba and Koneko joined in. We also got in our magic lesson with Akeno too.

But its has been a while since anything's happened yet I thought that maybe someone would show their face. Wasn't someone supposed to show up soon?

"Are you alright, Ryuichi you have a scowl on your face?" Rias said with worry in her voice.

"I've just got a lot of stuff on mind that's all." I replied trying to assuage her fears.

"You can always be honest with me if its bothering you at all." She tried to probe me further.

"It's alright it's not anything troubling at all really. I'll probably forget about it soon enough." I replied back.

"True, but it's always best to get things of your chest if they're bothering you."

" Sure such problems would probably melt away for others after seeing your devilishly, beautiful looks."

"Oh, you really are being like Akeno." She said. "Please, don't compare me to her." I replied back.

"…Just remember I'll be here for you if you need to tell me anything." She said solemnly

"Thank you." I replied, but just as I said that my head I felt something in head come to life.

"Just remember, I'll be here for you always and forever." A female's sweet and honeyed voice came from somewhere as flower petals covered her face. All I could see was her brown hair flowing in the wind slightly.

I brought myself back as Rias then replied to me, "Ryuichi, are you okay?" I opened my eyes to find me and Rias in a… compromising position on one of the sofas.

I was on top of her as she had her back on the cushions with her hands above her head. Were were mere inches away from each other in this position. In this situation the both of us just stared at each other as we were both flushed. This feeling continued on it seemed we we're inching closer to each other. Then coming out of my stupor I backed away and apologized.

"I'm sorry I don't know what came over me." I said in an apologetic tone. She got off the sofa with the squeak of the cushions.

"It's okay it was an accident I shook you to get you out of that stare you had, and we fell back. It's nothing to worry about." She said but she too had a small bit of flush on her face.

"Oh, okay." I replied, my flushed face now holding a shade of pink on my cheeks. What was that? A vision of the past? Who was that woman?

Rias then spoke as she sounded worried and alert, "I can't sense Issei anymore!"

"What, what's happened?" I replied in equal shock.

"A barrier is interfering I can't sense Issei anymore! I'm calling everyone together." She said as she readied a magic circle.

"It's Freed, I should've remembered!" I chided myself for forgetting about the psychopathic exorcist. "Then send me on ahead and I'll do what I can to help." I said trying to convince her.

"What, no! I can't last time we don't know how many enemies we'll be facing. We've got to wait for everyone first." Was that really a preposterous thing, she just warned us to never fight alone now she just wants him to fight by himself?

"All the more reason to send one of us ahead and help him. I've been training with Issei and everyone for things like this! Please Rias, let me help him!" I yelled to her.

She seemed conflicted until her face changed in shock, "The barrier from before… its gone. Very well, but please be careful." In a flash of light I steeled myself for what's ahead.

As I appeared from the circle, I raced off in front of Asia who was in front of Issei protecting him and clashed with the deranged exorcist himself as my Invisible Air and his Sword of Light came together I held him back as I looked to Issei.

Focusing first on my opponent I took the chance to reel my first back and delivered a straight punch into his gut which sent him flying back into the wall. I heard him spit out blood as he stared back at me with incredulity

"Issei, you okay? Of course not, your bleeding from your back." I said not being shocked at all.

"Ryuichi what are you doing here? He said surprised as Asia got in front of him and the green light other Twilight Healing appeared.

"Come to help you, so whose your friend?" I asked him.

"Oh, this is Asia I was telling you about." We didn't have time to continue as that crazed priest got back up and seemed ready to keep up the fight. I know this guy is good but how much punishment can he take?

"Well, well, well. Another shitty devil come to annoy me, but at least you seem to be more fun than this one, so I guess I'll play along with you instead. So tell me are you the catcher or the pitcher?" Freed said a sadistic look to his face.

My adrenaline kicked in as I prepared myself for his assault but deciding to amuse him I replied, "Wow for a priest that's quite the mouth on you." Sorry Kiba I stole your thunder.

"So what, you're the impiety police. Like I need some devil to tell me what's right with the world!" In his anger he charged me and the two of us clashed again and again. After breaking off I delivered a vertical slash to which he simply dodged and in the process he attempted to point his gun at me.

Despite the fact I was able to knock the gun off course, the bullet still made its mark just not in my face but in my lower gut. Damn, even as Rook for that to be this close it felt like a light-enhanced 44. Magnum just hit me at point-blank.

I stumbled back as I reacted physically to the injury but didn't stop as the two of us clashed once more. But my wound was now getting to my endurance.

"Oh my, feeling under the weather you piece of shit, those bullets taste good right? They've been blessed by an exorcist." I was able to push him back.

"Allow me to once again introduce myself, my name is Freed Sellzen and I'm with a certain devil-hunting group were very popular." He introduced himself but taking the chance I continued my assault from before but due to my injured state he only needed to dodge me. Just as he parried one of my swings he was about to strike until Issei appeared and punched him in the face.

"Thanks man." I said to him. "No problem dude it's the least I could do." He replied.

"Okay, now I'm angry. Double teaming a lady like myself, that's no fair. I should at least have some fun." He said as he seemed ready to renew his assault.

It wasn't until a red light appeared and Kiba clashed with Freed this time.

"Kiba!" Issei yelled out. "Hey, you two were finally here. Ryuichi hanks for holding down the fort while we were gone."

"It's alright. No worries. Ugh." This bullet wound was now getting to me. Everyone else filed through after Kiba.

"A stray exorcist." Koneko replied in her same monotone voice.

"Oh my, now this is just a gross mess." Akeno said looking at the scene like it was nothing.

"Oh hell yes, now we have ourselves a good old-fashioned gangbang." Freed cheered as look on to the group of devils.

"Sorry, but you're done here. Those two are with us." Kiba replied.

"Oh no I'm not disappointed at all, it just means my record can increase it means I can chop up just a bit more meat from you shitty devils." Freed said his face just a psychopathic as before.

"Wow, you really do have a bad mouth." Kiba said slightly surprised by the exorcists dirty ramblings.

"Oh shut it, I'm so sick of you devils thinking your so high and mighty. Can't man just have some fun from time to time?" Freed said angrily.

"My, this guy sure is a piece of work." Akeno said with a sadistic smile as she seemed ready to bring the pain just as much.

"And you my dear are a hot piece of ass. Oh, there's nothing I love more than a sexy devil bitch." Freed said as he shook in pleasure hugging himself.

He then felt a tap on his shoulder as he turned he said, "Oh what!?" Then in that same moment I delivered an uppercut so strong he hit the ceiling and fell back down with a thud.

Everyone looked on shock until I heard a voice from Koneko say, "Nice punch."

"I pride myself." I replied with a slight smile. I turned to Akeno as she gave me those same hungry eyes as before. I couldn't help this time but look at her for a few seconds. Until we heard Freed stirring up from my punch.

"Okay, now I'm REALLY pissed!" He said but he didn't do anything until a large blast of Destruction power blasted him away.

"Then if you some more, come and get it." Rias said as she finally stepped through the circle herself. "But I don't think you can handle it."

"No one hurts my servants." Rias gave one final threat until Freed got up right as rain.

"Oh no, don't worry I think I can take it and I think I already hurt both of them." He said.

"Are you two okay?" Rias asked. She looked fine until she looked at me and saw my bleeding bullet wound from there she began to exude a bit of demonic power.

"Well shit, big red there may be an issue." Freed began to realize things are not going his way.

Koneko sniffed the air and warned everyone, "Fallen angels are coming."

Then a white portal appeared in the ceiling telling us they would arrive soon, "Well then were done here. Akeno prepare the jump, Koneko deal with him."

"Got it." She replied as she threw the couch in her hands at Freed knocking him down.

Now on the floor, Kiba came and took my arm putting over his shoulder and Koneko holding back Issei.

As the circle flared to life ready to take us Issei called out seeing Asia, "Wait don't go! What about Asia?!"

"I'm sorry Issei but this circle is only for my servants and family members. She can't come with us." Rias explained to Issei who couldn't accept the situation as he struggled in Koneko's grip.

"Stop! I have to help her please!" He tried again to no avail

Rias chided him again, "Issei! Ryuichi is already hurt of you want another one of us to get hurt because of your reckless actions?"

He still couldn't accept the situation, so I spoke up, "Issei listen, they still need her. So they won't kill her. Believe me we'll see her again."

Issei then relented as the circle took effect and we were all gone.

"I failed to remember this… tommorow I will make things right."

(Finally, you've given me, a reason to be strong) – (The ending begins as Rias and Ryuichi stare at each other some distance apart.)

(And we'll stand, hand in hand, till the end!) – (The two then reach out to each other join hands as they look to the sunrise in front of them.)

(As my body's shaking, the future is out there waiting) – (The scene then cuts to the ORC as they are once more in the clubroom but this time Ryuichi looks out the window a look of worry on his face.)

(For me to grasp the light, that's trembling just like my hand) – (Ryuichi is then alone again as tensely holds his fist as the invisible air begins to manifest.)

(I gotta keep it safe from fading that's all I want) – (His gaze then turns to Rias as he then begins to cry once more. Rias too in her office once more can't help but think of Riser's flames as Ryuichi is nowhere to be seen.)

(The subtle scent of midnight - [I spent all thirty nights]) – (The scene then turns to Ryuichi's apartment as he and Rias are laid out in an intimate position on the bed. Just as the two are about to begin until Ryuichi stops Rias and looks her in the eye.)

(I glare up at the stars - [Staring into the sky]) – (The two then look each other in the eyes as the other has tears in their eyes. Until they both get up and look out to the half-moon outside together.)

(The path I see before me I know only I can change it) – (The two then look back at each other until they share their first passionate kiss together.)

(That's all that I need) – (The scene then darkens as the music picks up.)

(Finally, you've given me, a reason to be strong) – (The scene then changes to when the two in a loving embrace as the sun rises to show the two in their Kuoh Academy uniforms.)

(And we'll stand, hand in hand, till the end) – (The two then then charge out into the bright sun together hand in hand.)

(Despite the past mistakes we can't erase, a future that we can't escape) – (The scene then cuts to the ORC staring down Riser's peerage as the Phenex heir glares at Ryuichi in particular.)

(As long as I can always keep you safe I've gotta be strong) – (Another cut occurs as the two peerages engage in combat with each other. Koneko and Issei face off against Riser's pawns. Kiba and Ryuichi clash with Riser's knights. Akeno then electrocutes both of Riser's bishops with Ravel escaping before Akeno engages with Yubelluna. This just leaves Rias to face Riser alone with only Asia to support her.)

(So to your name, I'll fight through the pain) – (As Riser is about to unleash another large blast of his Phenex flame, a figure rushes toward Rias' defense as its shown to be Ryuichi who appears later with Excalibur dug in the ground. Although singed he still stands up, the blade glowing a yellow white light.)

(This world can beat me down a hundred times but into the light I'll always rise) – (Ryuichi and Riser then engage in single combat with the two devils fighting evenly in three quick time images until Ryuichi falls back towards Rias, the redhead by his side to check on him.)

(A lotus flower so pure, right up to the end) – (As Riser smirks in what seems to be victory he begins charging another attack for Ryuichi to then hold Excalibur high in the air at the same time as the sword begins to glow with a golden hue. Rias then joins Ryuichi as she adds her power to the blade changing its color from yellow to crimson red.)

(Until it blooms, a bright red) – (The two then unleash their greatest attacks as the two clash it causes a massive explosion when in the next Excalibur stuck in the ground with Riser's jacket flowing in the wind on its blade.)

AN#1 – Here is Chapter 3 of my High School DxD: Heir of Camelot story. Our hero meets Merlin, who actually is not a man but a woman instead. It will be interesting to see Ryuichi's reaction to a female Merlin next they meet.

Also Ryuichi shows off more of his abilities against Viser. Our hero also seems to be getting in tune with his closet pervert side but seems to be in denial. Will he accept it one day? Who knows?

Ryuichi has moments with both Rias and Akeno; one where the other enjoys the pain he delivers and the other where emotions seemed to be at play. Who is the mysterious woman Ryuichi saw?
