Epilogue

Rinoa stood at the bow of the ship, the wind blowing through her hair as it moved smoothly across the water. They were making excellent time; they would arrive on the island soon enough. She smiled at the thought. One week without any duties. One week without Squall's name being called over an intercom. One week of just them, nothing else. She smiled at the thought, sighing.

'To think; we're finally on our honeymoon…' she thought to herself, smiling. After the wedding, Squall only got to spend the evening with his new bride before a pile of requests came in for SeeD. Rinoa woke up the morning after the wedding, only to find Squall was in his office, looking over requests, accepting some, ad denying others. He was even personally called away a few times before they were finally able to set all work aside for a week to celebrate their union. By then, they had been married for nearly a year.

There were times that Rinoa feared they would never have a free moment from Garden, or SeeD; that they would be slaves to it; that they would never be able to have the family she wanted. She wanted to raise her own children; give them something she never had-a mother.

Rinoa's thoughts were interrupted by a pair of strong arms wrapping around her. She smiled, and turned to look at her husband. "Isn't it beautiful out, Squall?" She asked.

Squall smiled knowingly, and kissed her forehead, mumbling into her hair. "You're beautiful, too."

Rinoa chuckled softly. "You're only saying that because we're finally on our honeymoon." She said, smirking as she looked into his eyes.

"Actually, it only makes it even better, since it's our honeymoon." He replied, kissing her nose.

Rinoa smiled, and kissed him softly on the lips. They were going to have the best week ever.

"Come on, Rin;" Squall gently insisted, "We're about to dock, and we need to go below."

Rinoa nuzzled his chin before she moved. "Okay." She replied, and they both headed below deck.

When they docked and headed ashore, Rinoa teased Squall as they headed to their hotel room, kissing on his neck, on his jaw line, on his ear, on his cheek, and moving on to his lips as soon as their hotel room door shut behind them.

"So…: Rinoa started, "What do you want to do?"

Squall captured Rin in his arms, and kissed her deeply. A bit surprised, but loving every moment of it, Rinoa kissed him back deeply, dropping her purse, and putting her arms around him. As they continued to share kisses, Squall held his wife closer to him, pulling back for a brief moment.

"I love you, Rinoa." He said in a low voice.

"I love you, too, Squall." She replied huskily, slowly pulling him toward the bedroom.

As they continued to share in smothering each other in kisses, the two slowly began to help each other shed their clothing. The first thing to go was Rinoa's jacket, followed by Squall's shirt. Rinoa smiled as she did this, kissing his bare chest softly and lovingly. Squall smiled at her as he gently slid her blouse over her head, kissing down her neck to where it met her shoulders. Rinoa shivered happily, running her fingers through his hair as he unsnapped the hooks on her bra, slowly pulling that off as well. Rinoa gently lay overtop of her husband, kissing him more and more passionately as she fiddled with his belt, sliding that off. Meanwhile, Squall was working on getting her skirt off, kissing her bare breasts as he did so. Rinoa loved the sensation she felt from his sweet kisses, and got his pants off, leaving his boxers as the only clothing on him. Squall smirked at her, leaving her only in her panties.

"Something that should've happened on our wedding night." Squall said, answering Rinoa's question a bit late. The two gazed at each other, eyes sparkling, their desire erupting. At long last….well, at long last.

That night, the two were forever intertwined, whether in kisses, in caresses, or in love. I wasn't until the dawn that the two fell asleep together happily; Rinoa's head on Squall's chest, their arms wrapped around each other.

Four Months Later

Squall lay sleeping in their bed; free to sleep in for once. There hadn't been many missions lately; thank hyne. Rinoa seemed more and more distracted every day now; and Squall didn't want to lose her, like he almost had on their space mission. He worried about her rather often; he hoped she was okay.

In the meantime, Rinoa was visiting Selphie and Zell, who were now happily engaged. They were planning on getting married in a few months, and Rinoa was invited by Selphie to help plan things out.

This particular morning, however, Zell left early to go running around Garden, followed by a hot dog breakfast as soon as the Cafeteria opened.

Rinoa lay across the sofa, sighing uneasily as Selphie paced back and forth.

"Selphie, will you quit pacing!" Rinoa exclaimed.

Selphie stopped briefly. "I can't help it!" she replied. "There's a lot going on right now; if one more major thing happens, I'm going to pop!"

Rinoa sighed, and got up. All she knew was, Selphie had every right to stress, but she didn't want to hear it. She started to walk to the bathroom, when she stopped.

"You don't have to follow me, Selphie." She said.

" I want to!" Selphie said.

Rinoa faced her. "You're under a lot of stress right now, you just need to sit down, and take a deep breath."

"But-"

"No buts, okay?" Rinoa insisted, giving her friend a near sympathetic look.

Selphie sighed, but nodded, and she sat on the sofa. Rinoa went into the bathroom, and a few minutes later, she stepped back out silently, seemingly distant.

"Rinny?"

Rinoa looked up at Selphie in silence. Then, she ran out the door, into the hallway.

"RINOA!" Selphie shouted, jumping up. She stuck her head out the door, but Rinoa was already out of sight.

"What the hell…?" Selphie muttered to herself, walking into the bathroom. What she saw made her jump.

"OH MY GOD!" she cried, running out of her room, heading for Dr. Kadowaki's office.

When she arrived there, she saw Rinoa already leaving. Rushing inside, she looked for the doctor.

"Yes, Selphie?" Dr. Kadowaki asked patiently.

"I-Rinoa-I…" Selphie stammered. Dr. Kadowaki simply laughed.

"Yes, Selphie." She replied. "Yes."

And so, Selphie ran once again; this time into Zell.

"Hey, baby!" he exclaimed. "What's going on?"

"I-Rinny…she-"

Zell chuckled. "Calm down, Selphie. Take a deep breath, and start over again."

So, she did.

Squall woke up without Rinoa by his side. Yawning he sat up, scratching his scalp. He got up, and stepped into the shower, letting the hot water wake him. He closed his eyes, letting the water hit his skin; letting it mesmerize him, until he heard a soft noise at the bathroom door, followed by the shower door opening, and his wife stepping in to join him. He turned around, and she greeted him with a gentle kiss. He smiled.

"Hey…" he said softly, gazing into her eyes.

She looked up at him, her own eyes sparkling with a strange, soft light. "Hello, Squall…" she replied.

Something was different about the tone of voice she used; he was uncertain as to what emotion it was connected to. He ran his fingers through her damp hair. "What is it, baby?" he asked gently.

Rinoa broke out into a sweet smile. "I have something to tell you…" she replied.

"Yes?" he asked, his heart beating faster, almost as if something was wrong.

Rinoa pulled her husband close to her, stroking his hair, kissing his neck softly. Then, she whispered lovingly into his ear…

"I'm pregnant."

Author's Note: HA! Bet you didn't see that coming! Well…maybe you did…but the point is, I wrote a kick-ass epilogue! I've been writing a Card captor Sakura fan fic lately, and it wasn't until I got a review on the last chapter of Dedicated to You that I remembered my promise of an epilogue. I hope I didn't disappoint (I know, my name's different now), and I hope you'll take a look at what I've written lately. Much love, you guys. 3
