The young woman hummed happily to herself as she pushed the stroller along the shaded path. The sun was shining, the birds were singing in the trees, and she was off work until the next day.
"Sana-chan?"
The woman didn't turn.
"It is Sana-chan, isn't it? I've been a fan of yours since I was a girl!"
Sighing mentally, the woman took off her dark sunglasses and turned around, a big smile pasted on her face.
"It is you! Hikaru won't believe this!"
At seeing a young mother like herself, the woman's smile grew genuine. "Is that your son?"
"Yes, this is my To-chan." She shifted the infant. "Say "hi" to Sana- chan, To-chan."
The woman caught a flailing hand and shook it solemnly. "Hello, To-chan."
"Would you mind giving me an autograph? Hikaru is never going to believe this otherwise."
The woman laughed as she rummaged through the bag on the back of the stroller. "Not a problem. Here! How's this?"
""To a fellow mother, from Sana." It's perfect! Thank you!" A bright smile.
"Like I said, not a problem. Have a nice walk, now."
"I will!" A deep bow. "It was a pleasure meeting you, Sana-chan."
The woman bowed back. "You too." She watched as the figure disappeared around the corner, a thoughtful look on her face.
"Mama?"
"Ah, Sleeping Beauty awakes! Would you like to walk, Ma-chan?" At the firm nod she lifted the girl out of her stroller. For a while they strolled along hand in hand, the woman enjoying the weather, the girl focusing on not stumbling.
"Mama?"
"Hm?"
"Will I eva' be fam'os like you?"
The woman smiled gently as she looked down. "Do you want to be famous like me?"
"I dunno." A small thumb was stuck in a pouting mouth.
"What do you want to be when you grow up, Ma-chan?"
The girl removed her thumb to say decisively, "I wanna be nice an' boo'ful an' smart, jus' like Mama."
The woman laughed and swung the girl, shrieking with delight, onto her shoulders. "You can be anything you want to be." Her voice quieted. "Anything at all."
Then she shook herself. "Now, what do you say we go home and see what Daddy made for dinner?"
The girl on her shoulder cheered. "Yay! Sushi! Take-out!"

Author's notes:
"Ma-chan"-- Mariko, after Sana's mom "To-chan"-- Kaito, from Magic Kaito "Hikaru"-- the woman is Akari, from Hikaru no Go.
I see Akito as a beat-down, stay-at-home dad who orders sushi.
