In the Fire
Eyes stinging,
Choking on soot,
Watching the blaze consume you.
The pain is unbearable,

You can feel the burns,
Searing pain.
Ashes and ashes of soot,

You can feel darkness as you pass out.
Whispers of your small, hoarse voice,
Echo in your mind.
Your last words,
