Disclaimer: I don't own Inuyasha yadda yadda

"Ooooh, Inuyasha, you're so good at that!" Kikyo purred. "Where did you learn?"

"From Kagome," Inuyasha laughed scornfully. It was ironic, learning such wonderful things from the girl he would betray. He smiled, leaning down close to concentrate. He was good, and it felt good. It felt even better than when Kagome had showed him.

"Knead harder," Kikyo whispered. "Please, Inuyasha."

He kneaded almost roughly, with reckless abandon. After a while, he switched to a soft, smooth rubbing. Kikyo moaned.

"Is it just me, or is it getting hot in here?"

"Things are really heating up, Kikyo. We're baking. I love this. I love...I love your passion."

"Our passion." Kikyo corrected. She paused. "Do you think I have one in the oven, now?"

Inuyasha smiled greedily, almost hungrily. "Ooooh, I don't know...let me check!"

"Inuyasha, stop!" She giggled. But she didn't want him to stop, not really. She wanted a taste of it, too. It was as much pleasure for her as it was for him.

"How dare you!" Shouted a voice. Kikyo gasped. Inuyasha froze, staring at the girl who threw open the door and invaded their privacy.

"Kagome, I, I can explain..."

"How dare you!" Kagome repeated, tears in her eyes and bitter accusation in her voice. "How dare you bake bread with Kikyo!"

"Kagome, I..." Inuyasha started, but she interrupted. She snatched the fresh loaf from his hands and threw it on the floor.

"And rye bread, no less...Inuyasha..." The tears overflowed in her dark eyes, spilling down cheeks flushed with anger and sadness. "Inuyasha...that was our bread..." She sank to the floor, sobbing. "That was our special bread, Inuyasha, doesn't that mean anything to you?"

"Well, I guess he found a better baker, didn't he?" Kikyo spat on Kagome. She shuddered. Inuyasha looked away.

"Kagome, I'm sorry, but sometimes...you burned the bread, Kagome. And I couldn't handle that, I couldn't deal with it. I can rely on Kikyo. She never..." His voice caught and he took a breath. "...She never turns the oven up too high."

"Inu...Inuyasha!" Kagome sobbed. She leapt up, dark eyes wild with pain, and grabbed the stick of butter off the table. "Inuyasha, I know now you will never share the kitchen with me again, no matter how much Ice Cream for you!" She cried, plunging the stick deep into her chest. Then she shuttered, choking on the bright red blood of her life, and sank to the floor, one last time.

"Kagome, no!" Inuyasha ran to her side, pulling the stick of butter from her heart. But it was too late. He let his passion for baking bread overtake him, and cheated on his one true love. He saw now the error of his ways.

"Kagome, I am so, sorry. God forgive me, Kagome! Please forgive me, Kagome! And damn me for daring to bake bread with anyone else! I can't live without you, Kagome..." He cradled her head in his lap, stroking her soft hair. "Kagome, I can't live without you. The least I can do, to show how sorry I am, is to dye by your side..."

Grimacing, Inuyasha laid the head of his love down softly on the kitchen tile, and stood up. He snatched the bottle of food coloring off the table, and whipped off the cap. I must dye, he thought desparately. He dumped the bottle over his head, staining his clothes and skin blue. Then, he sank to the floor.

"Inuyasha, you fool." Kikyo stepped over him, stomping hard on Kagome's body as she left the room. She switched off the kitchen light to conserve electricity. "I'll miss you, though," She said, after a moment of thought. "I really liked the way you cut my cookies. We could have made some wonderful Wonderbread togther." She shut the door quietly behind her, and stepped out into the night.
